The scents: Ritz-Carlton-inspired in the living/dining, St. Regis-inspired in the bedroom.
Then: a 300ml 300ml refill (₹1,799) of your everyday scent, and a Boond (₹899) for the bathroom. Skip the Vaayu entirely.
2. Six 15ml Hotel Collection scents arrive with the pair. Every Sukoon includes three of your choice, which is why the second machine is not a duplicate purchase — ₹3,798 buys two machines and a fragrance wardrobe.
3. Choose two scents that are far apart. Ritz-Carlton-inspired (white tea, bergamot, cedar) for the room the front door opens into; St. Regis-inspired (amber, violet, woods) for the room you sleep in. The change at the door is the whole point of owning two machines.
4. Place them properly before you buy anything else. Waist height or above, on a hard surface, on the airflow line the flat already has — and at least 1.5m from the pillow in the bedroom, on low with the 2H timer.
5. Then one 300ml 300ml refill (₹1,799) and, if the bathroom needs it, a Boond (₹899). Skip the Vaayu at ₹11,999 — a waterless nebuliser rated to 1000m³, several times this flat and a different technology rather than a bigger Sukoon.
A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Step one: how many machines, and where
SOSA makes seven home and commercial scenting systems, and exactly two of them are relevant to a 1BHK — the Sukoon and, for the bathroom, the Boond. Everything else in the range exists because a 550 sq ft flat and a 15,000 sq ft lobby are not the same problem, and I would rather say plainly which parts of the catalogue you can ignore than let a comparison table imply you need them. The deciding number is 270–320 sq ft, the Sukoon's coverage. The deciding concept is the enclosed air mass: fragrance is stopped by doors long before it is exhausted by distance, which is why the same 550 sq ft needs one diffuser as a studio and two as a 1BHK.
Step two: which two fragrances
This is where a 1BHK differs most from a studio and where the money is best spent. All seven Hotel Collection scents are water-based and formulated for ultrasonic diffusers; all seven are good. But you now own two rooms, which means the question is not which scent you like best — it is which pair puts the greatest useful distance between your living room and your bedroom. The table judges all seven for exactly that, and the fuller pairing argument is in the two-fragrance guide.
| Scent | Notes | Which room | 1BHK verdict | Buy as |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ritz-Carlton-inspired ★ | White tea · bergamot · cedar | Living / dining | The pick for the room the front door opens into — clean with lift | 300ml refill ₹1,799 |
| St. Regis-inspired | Amber · violet · woods | Bedroom | The pick for a small room at night — rich, and comfortable behind a shut door | 15ml ₹299 or 100ml ₹999 |
| Westin-inspired | White tea · aloe · cedar | Living / dining | The driest of the seven — the better living room scent if your kitchen has no door | 300ml refill ₹1,799 |
| 1 Hotels-inspired | Cedarwood · vetiver · green leaves | Either | Reads as a home rather than a hotel; the choice if you dislike obviously scented rooms | 100ml ₹999 |
| W Hotels-inspired | Citrus · pepper · amber | Living / dining | Lively and a little sharp — good before guests, tiring as an everyday bedroom scent | 15ml ₹299 |
| Shangri-La-inspired / Four Seasons-inspired | Jasmine · green tea · white tea / citrus · floral · sandalwood | Bedroom / either | Both floral-leaning; excellent behind a door, harder work near an open kitchen | Pack of 7 ₹1,799 |

Step three: budget, and what to skip
At ₹749 a reed diffuser scents a corner of one room, with no socket and no routine — the honest floor of the range, and a perfectly reasonable thing to live with. At ₹1,899 you have one Sukoon with three 15ml Hotel Collection bottles of your choice, which does one room fully and leaves the other quiet; this is a complete purchase rather than half of one, and plenty of 1BHK households should stop here permanently. At ₹3,698 that single machine gains a 300ml 300ml refill, which buys consistency rather than coverage — a signature you never ration. And at ₹3,798, one hundred rupees more than the tier below it, you have two machines instead of one, which is a whole second room rather than a better version of the first. That is the recommendation for most 1BHKs, and the full tier-by-tier costing is in the 1BHK budget guide.
Above that, the money goes into bottles rather than hardware, which is the correct direction in a flat this size. At ₹5,597 two Sukoons are joined by the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 — every scent in the range, about ₹17 per ml against ₹299 for a single bottle, and enough variety to run a dry pair through the hot months and a warmer pair through winter for years. Add a 300ml refill at ₹1,799 for whichever scent becomes the everyday one and you are at ₹7,396 for a two-room flat run the way a small hotel runs a floor; the considered setup is laid out here. A Boond at ₹899 closes the bathroom, which is the third door, and a reed diffuser from ₹749 handles an entryway with no socket. None of those is a coverage purchase.
What to skip, plainly. A third Sukoon — a 1BHK has two enclosed rooms and a bathroom, and the bathroom wants a ₹899 Boond rather than a ₹1,899 machine. The Megh at ₹3,499 — a genuinely good 6-litre unit whose large tank solves refill frequency in one big room, which is not the problem you have. The Vaayu at ₹11,999 — a waterless cold-air nebuliser running undiluted oil, rated for up to 1000m³ with a Bluetooth app and timer and under 38dB. It is excellent, it is a different technology rather than a bigger Sukoon, and it is several times the machine a 500–650 sq ft flat can use; buy it if you move somewhere with corridors. Aangan at ₹25,999 and Meenar at ₹38,500 are HVAC systems for 8,000–10,000 and 12,000–18,000 sq ft — hotels and showrooms, not homes. And essential oils: the Sukoon is a 2.4MHz water-based unit and thicker essential and carrier oils clog the misting plate, so it runs SOSA's own water-based Hotel Collection fragrance and nothing else.

Everything relevant to a two-room home in one table, in buying order, with the honest note on when each line earns its place — and the bottom row for the things that do not. If you read nothing else on this page, read the first two rows.
| Buy | What it does | When it earns its place | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Two Sukoons ★ | 500ml each, 270–320 sq ft each, 16–18h on low, remote and 2H/4H timers, six 15ml scents between them | Immediately — one per enclosed room. This is the setup | ₹3,798 |
| 2. 300ml refill | Months of your everyday scent across both tanks, at about ₹6 per ml | After a month, once one of the six bottles has won | ₹1,799 |
| 3. Pack of 7 × 15ml | Every scent in the range — 105ml at about ₹17 per ml | If the flat feels samey rather than under-covered | ₹1,799 |
| 4. Boond 300ml | The bathroom — the third door, on the bottles you already own | Once both main rooms are handled | ₹899 |
| 5. Reed diffuser / candle | An entryway or bedroom corner with no plug; light as well as scent in the evening | As a stopgap early on, or a finishing touch later | from ₹749 / ₹379 |
| Skip: a third Sukoon, Megh, Vaayu | A duplicate machine; a 6-litre tank; a waterless nebuliser to 1000m³ | Third Sukoon never; Megh only for a loft; Vaayu when you move | ₹1,899 / ₹3,499 / ₹11,999 |
Versailles
I spent the studio cluster telling people not to buy a second diffuser, and I meant it — one room, one machine, and the money is better spent on bottles. So it matters to me that this guide says the opposite, and that the reason is structural rather than commercial. The 1BHK is where the honest answer flips, and pretending otherwise to keep a consistent message would be the actual dishonesty.
What changes is not size. A 1BHK is often no bigger than a generous studio. What changes is that somewhere around eleven at night a door closes, and from that moment you have two homes rather than one. A machine rated for 270 to 320 square feet cannot service a room it is not standing in, and no setting on the front panel alters that. The part I would hold on to is that the second Sukoon arrives with three more fragrances, so the second ₹1,899 buys a room and half a wardrobe rather than a duplicate.
Everything is made and supported from Pune, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. You get a home that smells like somewhere you chose; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.
