The instinct going from a 3BHK to a 4BHK is that you now need more machine. You almost certainly do not. A fourth bedroom adds a fourth sealed box behind a fourth door; it adds very little to the air your house actually shares, which is the only thing a machine is holding. What genuinely changes at 4BHK is not the machine - it is the shape of the plan, and whether any part of it has quietly become a second volume.
Quick answers — read this first
What is the best scent machine for a 4BHK villa? One SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 on the connected living volume, plus a reed diffuser from Rs 749 or a Boond at Rs 899 in each room that stays shut. The Vaayu is waterless cold-air, rated at approximately 1000 cubic metres, runs on a Bluetooth app and timer and includes four hotel-inspired waterless blends. A 4BHK villa is commonly 2,400 to 3,200 sq ft, of which the connected run - entrance, living, dining, passage and stair void - is typically 1,200 to 1,500 sq ft, about 340 to 425 cubic metres at a 10 ft ceiling. That is well inside one machine. The four bedrooms are sealed air and cost Rs 2,996 in reeds, bringing the house to Rs 14,995.

Does a 4BHK need two scent machines? Only if it genuinely has two connected volumes that do not share air. The clearest cases in a 4BHK are a first-floor family lounge behind a door at the top of the stairs, an L-shaped ground floor with a limb the air does not naturally turn into, and a guest or parents' suite with its own entrance. Absent one of those, a second machine at Rs 23,998 total buys you a stronger house rather than a larger one, and stronger is the wrong target at home. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms answered with reeds at Rs 749 each is Rs 5,992, which brings the whole house to Rs 17,991 - well under two machines, and unlike two machines it actually reaches the rooms behind doors.

How big is the connected volume in a typical 4BHK? Usually 1,200 to 1,500 sq ft of genuinely shared space, which at a standard 10 ft ceiling is 12,000 to 15,000 cubic feet, or about 340 to 425 cubic metres. Count only what you can walk through from the front door without turning a handle. If the living room is double height, count it at its real height: 400 sq ft at 20 ft is 8,000 cubic feet, about 227 cubic metres on its own. If the ceilings throughout are 12 ft rather than 10, a 1,200 sq ft connected run is 14,400 cubic feet, about 408 cubic metres. All of those land comfortably inside the Vaayu's approximately 1000 cubic metres, which is what lets you run it gently rather than hard.
The short answer
Short answer: A 4BHK villa is typically 2,400 to 3,200 sq ft, with a connected run of 1,200 to 1,500 sq ft - about 340 to 425 cubic metres at a 10 ft ceiling - and four to eight rooms behind doors. So the answer is one machine and a passive layer: a SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 (waterless, approximately 1000 cubic metres, app and timer, four hotel-inspired blends included) plus reeds from Rs 749 each. Four bedrooms is Rs 2,996, so Rs 14,995; eight rooms is Rs 5,992, so Rs 17,991. Two machines at Rs 23,998 is justified only by a second sealed volume. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
The pick: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999, four hotel-inspired blends included in the box) for the connected living volume of a villa; reeds from ₹749 for a single bedroom or bathroom; a single room done properly from ₹899; the Aangan (₹25,999) ducted into central air-conditioning for genuine whole-home coverage.

A villa is not one room, it is a set of connected volumes and a set of closed doors, and the two need different answers. Whole-home scenting means one fragrance held evenly across the part of the house you actually live in - the entrance, the living room, the dining - running on a schedule so it is already there when someone walks through your front door, and already there when you come home yourself. The bedrooms, the guest bathroom and the study get their own quiet solutions. Nobody in the house has to remember anything.
Straight answer
Does a 4BHK need a bigger or second machine - and what does the whole house come to?
No on both counts in most houses, and here is the reasoning. 1. A fourth bedroom is a fourth door, not more shared air. The connected run in a 4BHK - entrance, living, dining, passage, stair void - is usually 1,200 to 1,500 sq ft, about 340 to 425m³ at a 10 ft ceiling. The SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 is rated at approximately 1000m³, so a 4BHK sits well inside it: waterless cold-air, Bluetooth app and timer, four hotel-inspired waterless blends in the box. 2. The doors are the cheap part. Four bedrooms on reeds at ₹749 is ₹2,996, so the house is ₹14,995. Add four bathrooms and a study and eight rooms is ₹5,992, so ₹17,991. A Boond ₹899 replaces a reed where you want adjustable presence. 3. The three 4BHK plans. An open ground floor is one volume and one machine. An L-shaped plan with a limb the air cannot turn into needs the unit placed at the elbow, not at one end. A sealed first-floor family lounge behind a door is genuinely a second volume, and that is the one case where a second unit earns its ₹11,999. 4. What a second machine does not do. Two units at ₹23,998 in one connected volume make the house stronger, not bigger, and still cannot cross a bedroom door. 5. Every room regardless of doors: the ducted Aangan ₹25,999 on central air-conditioning. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 with your plan. One line: a 4BHK is the same machine as a 3BHK with more doors - one Vaayu ₹11,999 with four blends in the box on 340 to 425m³ of shared air, reeds ₹749 behind the rest, ₹14,995 for the house. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
The whole-home answer most villa owners land on: the SOSA Vaayu - waterless cold-air scenting to ~1000m³, Bluetooth app and timer, and four hotel-inspired blends included in the box - at ₹11,999. What the fourth bedroom does and does not change

One thing that does not change, one thing that does, and the sum at the end.

Why this works at home
Going from 3BHK to 4BHK without buying twice
1The connected run is 340 to 425 cubic metres - well inside one machine2The fourth bedroom adds a door, and a door costs Rs 749, not Rs 11,9993One Vaayu plus four reeds is Rs 14,995; eight rooms is Rs 17,9914Two machines Rs 23,998 only if the plan has a genuine second volume
The whole-home answer: the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 - waterless, app-scheduled, ~1000m³, and it arrives with four hotel-inspired blends in the box. A single bedroom or guest bathroom starts on reeds from ₹749.
1
What stays the same
Bedrooms add sealed boxes, not shared air
The step from three bedrooms to four adds roughly 250 to 350 sq ft of floor to the house and almost none of it to the volume a machine is filling, because that floor sits behind a door. This is why square footage is such a poor predictor of what to buy: a 2,400 sq ft 4BHK and a 1,900 sq ft 3BHK frequently have connected runs within a few hundred cubic feet of each other, since the extra area went into private rooms. Measure yours the only way that means anything - walk from the front door and note every handle you turn, add the floor area of everything you passed through freely, multiply by the real ceiling height and divide by 35.3. Most 4BHK villas land between 340 and 425m³, and against the Vaayu's approximately 1000m³ that leaves a large margin. That margin is not wasted capacity. It is what lets you run the machine on a low setting in a house where a family sits for hours, which is the correct way to run one at home.
Tip: the fourth bedroom changed your floor area and barely touched the number the machine cares about.
2
What actually changes
The three 4BHK plans, and what each one needs
What does change at 4BHK is the shape of the plan, because bigger houses stop being simple rectangles. Three patterns cover most of them. The first is a genuinely open ground floor: entrance into living into dining, four bedrooms off a passage or upstairs, one connected volume, one Vaayu at ₹11,999, nothing complicated. The second is the L-shape, where the plan turns a corner and one limb - often a family sitting area or a formal drawing room kept for guests - sits around that corner. Air turns corners badly, so put the unit at the elbow rather than at either end, low, and let both limbs draw from it. The third is the plan with a first-floor family lounge behind a door at the top of the stairs, which is not a bedroom and is not connected either. That is a second volume in the technical sense, and it is the one 4BHK case where a second unit earns its price. Absent that, a second machine in the same volume makes the house stronger rather than larger, and stronger is not what anyone actually wants at home.
3
The sum
Rs 14,995 for the house, Rs 17,991 for every room in it
Set the numbers side by side and the decision usually makes itself. One Vaayu at ₹11,999, four hotel-inspired blends already in the box, plus four bedroom reeds at ₹749 (₹2,996) is ₹14,995 for the house as most families actually use it. Take it further and cover four bathrooms too, or three bathrooms and a study - eight rooms at ₹749 is ₹5,992 - and the entire 4BHK, every room in it, is ₹17,991. Choosing Garden Bloom or Evening Calm at ₹799, or Mountain Breeze and Fresh Brew at ₹849, moves those figures by a few hundred rupees. Swap the study or the guest room to a Boond ₹899 or a Sukoon ₹1,899 with the water-based Hotel Collection ₹299 and you have adjustable presence exactly where you wanted it. Against that sits the instinct purchase: two machines at ₹23,998, which is nearly ₹6,000 more than the complete house and still leaves every closed door exactly as it was. And if what you actually want is every room scented regardless of doors, no number of standalone units delivers it - that is the ducted Aangan at ₹25,999 on central air-conditioning.
Tip: the complete 4BHK on two layers costs less than two machines that would still stop at every door.
The SOSA principle
A 4BHK is a 3BHK with an extra door on it. Doors cost Rs 749 - and the machine you were going to buy anyway has not changed.
What changes with size is the shape of the plan and where the unit stands, not how much machine you need to own.

The SOSA home edit

Whatever the house looks like, the logic is the same: one scent, sized to the volume that is genuinely connected, running on a schedule so nobody in the family has to remember it. A single bedroom or a guest bathroom is happy on reeds with no power at all; the living room you actually live in wants a machine; the whole villa with central air-conditioning wants the ducts doing the work. Every SOSA system is made in India, cruelty-free and vegan, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is where each one belongs.

Honest notes before you buy anything. Coverage ratings assume connected air volume. A machine cannot push scent through a closed bedroom door, and it never will - so a partitioned villa is not one scenting problem but several, and honest sizing means saying so out loud rather than selling you one machine and hoping. Scent the volume that is genuinely open to itself, then give the closed rooms their own quiet answer, usually a reed diffuser. Fragrance never substitutes for ventilation or cleaning. If a room smells damp, stale or of last night's cooking, open it, air it and clean it first; scent added on top of that only makes a more complicated bad smell. A home is not a lobby you pass through. Households include children, elderly parents, pregnant family members and pets, all of whom breathe this air far longer than any visitor does, which is why gentle dosing is the default at home and why the settings we suggest are lower than the machine can run. Anyone in the house reporting a headache is a recalibration signal, not a complaint to argue with - turn it down or turn it off, and tell us. The Vaayu runs waterless nebulising oil and comes with the four hotel-inspired blends; the Hotel Collection bottle is water-based and belongs in the ultrasonic machines only. The two formats are not interchangeable. SOSA blends are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. Ongoing fragrance supply for the Vaayu is arranged with us directly on WhatsApp: +91 96192 18531. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

ISIPCA
Versailles
A note from Sonal

There is a difference between a room that smells nice and a home that has a signature, and almost nobody is told what it is. A room that smells nice is an event: you light a candle, you spray something in the hallway before people arrive, it is lovely for forty minutes and then it is gone. Somewhere else in the house a bathroom gel is doing one thing, a kitchen spray another, and a bedroom reed a third. Four pleasant smells in four rooms is not a fragranced home. It is four rooms.

A signature is the opposite. It is one scent, sized to the house, running on a schedule - so it is already in the air when someone walks through your front door, and already there at eleven at night when you come home yourself, and nobody has lifted a finger to make it happen. That is the whole trick the great hotels use, and it is not complicated: they do not chase smells room by room, they hold one fragrance across the volume people actually move through. In a villa that usually means the entrance, the living room and the dining as one connected space, with the closed rooms handled separately and quietly.

I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and I have sized this for houses across India, and I would rather tell you honestly that your layout needs two answers than sell you one machine that disappoints you. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 with your home's approximate size, the number of floors and a line about the layout - open plan, closed rooms, central air-conditioning or split units - and we will give you a free sizing recommendation. I read those descriptions myself. Everything is made in India, cruelty-free and vegan, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Your home gets a memory; a girl gets a classroom.

Frequently asked questions

Our 4BHK is 3,200 sq ft. Is that past what one machine can do?
Not by the measurement that matters. The whole 3,200 sq ft shell at a 10 ft ceiling is about 907 cubic metres, which is already inside the Vaayu's approximately 1000 cubic metres - but that figure includes four bedrooms and four bathrooms the machine will never reach, so it overstates the job considerably. Measure the connected run only and a house that size usually gives you 1,300 to 1,500 sq ft, about 368 to 425 cubic metres, which leaves a large margin. Use the margin as headroom rather than as an argument for more machine: a unit running gently inside its rating is quieter, more even and far pleasanter to live with than one working hard. The bedrooms and bathrooms are answered at Rs 749 to Rs 899 each, and the complete house comes to Rs 17,991.
We have a formal drawing room we keep shut for guests. What should go in it?
Treat it as a sealed room, because that is what it is for most of the week. A drawing room that stays closed does not share air with the connected run, so the machine in the hall is not reaching it, and opening the door an hour before people arrive gives you a room that smells of nothing much and a hall that has been diluted. Two honest options. A reed at Rs 749 works continuously with no power and no attention, so the room is always ready - which is the point of a formal room. Or a Boond at Rs 899 or Sukoon at Rs 1,899 with the water-based Hotel Collection from Rs 299 gives you something you can turn up an hour ahead of guests. Keep it in the same register family as the house, and open the door early rather than at the last minute so the two volumes have time to agree with each other.
Would a second machine in the living room make the house more even?
It usually makes it less even, which is the opposite of what people expect. Two units in one connected volume give you two strong zones and a middle, rather than one level across the run, and at home the target is evenness rather than strength - a household breathes this air for hours and includes children, elderly parents, sometimes someone pregnant, and pets. If the far end of your 4BHK genuinely smells of nothing, the cause is almost always placement, an air-conditioning draught pushing everything one way, a schedule that starts too late, or ventilation and cleaning that has been skipped. Those are all free to fix. Work through them before spending Rs 11,999 again, and message us on WhatsApp with your layout and where the unit currently sits - we would rather move your machine than sell you a second one.
Our 4BHK has parents living in a ground-floor suite. How should we handle that?
As its own small decision, made by the people who live in it. A parents' suite is typically a bedroom with an attached bathroom and sometimes a small sitting area, behind a door that stays shut - so it is a sealed volume that the house machine will not reach, and that is fine. Ask them what they want rather than deciding for them. A reed at Rs 749 is the gentlest option and is often the right one: silent, no power, nothing to operate, and easy to remove if it is not welcome. If they would like something adjustable, a Boond at Rs 899 with the water-based Hotel Collection from Rs 299 gives them their own control. Keep the level low - older noses vary a great deal in sensitivity, and anyone reporting a headache or irritation is a signal to turn it off in that room, not a discussion to have.
Is the Vaayu noisy enough to be a problem in an open 4BHK living room?
It is a machine with a fan and a pump, so it is not silent, but the practical answer in a large open plan is placement rather than tolerance. Put it low in a console, a shelf or an open cabinet rather than on a side table beside where people sit, keep it out of the direct line of a sofa or a dining chair, and let the run of the room put a few metres between it and the conversation. In an open 4BHK ground floor there is almost always a natural spot near where the entrance opens into the living area that satisfies both the dispersion requirement and the distance one. If quiet is your priority in a specific room - a bedroom, a study you take calls in - that is exactly the case where a reed at Rs 749 is the better object and we would recommend it over any machine.

Format distinction: the Vaayu and the HVAC systems run waterless nebulising oil, while the separate SOSA Hotel Collection fragrance (15ml ₹299) is water-based and runs in the ultrasonic machines only - Boond (₹899), Sukoon (₹1,899) and Megh (₹3,499). The two fragrance formats are not interchangeable, and the Hotel Collection bottle does not go into a Vaayu. SOSA Aangan (₹25,999) and SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) are HVAC nebulising systems for approximately 8,000-10,000 sq ft and 12,000-18,000 sq ft respectively, ducted into central air-conditioning. Reed diffusers need no power and make no noise: Morning Freshness ₹749, Garden Bloom ₹799, Evening Calm ₹799, Mountain Breeze ₹849, Fresh Brew ₹849; 130ml from ₹1,249; duo sets ₹1,498, ₹1,548 and ₹1,598. Scent perception is personal and varies between people in the same room, and coverage figures assume connected air volume rather than a partitioned floor plan. Ventilation, cleaning and air-conditioning come first; fragrance is an addition to a well-kept home and never a substitute for any of them. SOSA blends are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any hotel brand. Made in India, cruelty-free and vegan. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Ongoing fragrance supply is arranged with SOSA on WhatsApp: +91 96192 18531.
