Coverage figures assume a building with its doors closed. A Bengaluru villa often is not that building - the ground floor opens onto a garden or a deck and stays open for most of the day, which means the space a machine is actually being asked to scent is not the floor plan. It is whatever part of the house shuts, during the hours it is shut.
Quick answers — read this first
Is a scent machine a good gift for a villa in Bengaluru? Yes for a villa around 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft - the SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999. Size it on the part of the house that closes, and schedule it for the evening.

Why does the open ground floor matter? Because an open garden door makes the volume effectively unbounded, so fragrance disperses outward rather than accumulating.

Where should it be placed in a villa? On the closed side of the house - in the circulation path near the stairs or an air conditioning return, not beside an open garden door.
The short answer
Short answer: Coverage ratings assume a closed building, while Bengaluru villas are often lived in with garden or deck doors open for much of the day, making the ground floor an effectively unbounded volume. The practical approach is to size and schedule for the part of the house that closes and the hours it is closed, typically evening and night. The SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 covers up to 1,000 cubic metres, about 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft, with 1, 4, 8 and 24 hour run windows and adjustable intensity, and should be placed on the closed side - in the circulation path near the stairs or an air conditioning return rather than beside an open door. Bedrooms behind closed doors sit outside its field and want reed diffusers at Rs 749 to Rs 1,349.
The pick: a SOSA return gift - consumable, no shelf space, from ₹299 a head.
Bulk: 10 to 200+ pieces quoted on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. Rates are not published here.
Large-home scenting gifts - at a glanceUp to 1,000 m³ - about 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft. Volume decides, not budgetA 2BHK does not need it. A villa or a penthouse genuinely mightA new house smells of paint for weeks. Air it first, then scent it₹11,999 · four oils included · runs itself
A scenting machine is the one premium home gift that is decided by arithmetic rather than by taste. The SOSA Vaayu covers up to 1,000 cubic metres, roughly 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft, which a villa, a penthouse, a large open-plan 4 or 5BHK or a double-height living room genuinely reaches - and which an ordinary flat does not. So the question is never how much somebody has spent on their house; it is how many cubic metres of air are in it. Where the answer is a normal-sized home we will say a reed diffuser from Rs 749 is the better gift. One more thing nobody mentions: a brand-new house smells of paint, varnish and polish for several weeks, and that needs open windows rather than fragrance. Give the machine at the housewarming; it comes into its own a month later. Ask on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 with the square footage before you spend Rs 11,999.
Straight answer
Is a scent machine a good gift for a villa in Bengaluru?
Yes - but size it on what closes. Why: a Bengaluru villa's ground floor often stands open to a garden or deck most of the day, so that volume is effectively unbounded and fragrance disperses outward. So: the SOSA Vaayu ₹11,999, up to 1,000 m³, scheduled for the closed hours - evening and night - and placed on the closed side: the circulation path near the stairs or an AC return, never beside an open door. Bedrooms: doors shut, so outside the field - reed diffusers ₹749 to ₹1,349 there. Ask on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
An open garden door is an unbounded volume. Scent the hours it shuts.
One sentence if you want to skip the reading: over roughly 2,000 sq ft, the Vaayu at ₹11,999; under it, reed diffusers from ₹749. Bulk and corporate quantities are quoted on WhatsApp rather than published.

Size it on the part of the villa that closes

Every coverage number in this category, including ours, describes a closed volume. Up to a thousand cubic metres means a thousand cubic metres of air that stays broadly where it is, which is a fair description of an air-conditioned apartment with its windows shut. It is a poor description of how a villa in Bengaluru is actually lived in. Because the climate here allows it, the ground floor of a villa typically opens - sliding doors to a garden, a door to a deck or a sit-out, sometimes both ends of a living space open at once for cross ventilation, and often that arrangement holds from morning until the evening. Air passing through a house at that rate is doing something useful, which is why these houses feel fresh with no help at all, and it is also why fragrance introduced into that airflow mostly goes outside. A machine running at midday into an open living room is not over-scenting or under-scenting. It is scenting the garden. The practical consequence is a shift in how the gift should be specified and explained, and it is not a reason against the machine - it is the thing that makes it work rather than disappoint. Size and schedule on the part of the house that closes, during the hours it is closed. In most villas that means the evening onwards: the garden doors shut around dusk, sometimes because of insects, sometimes because the family has moved indoors, and from that point the house behaves like the sealed volume the rating describes. That is the window in which ambient fragrance accumulates and is noticed, and it happens to coincide with the hours people are at home, with guests arriving and with the part of the day anybody actually cares how their house smells. The SOSA Vaayu at eleven thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine rupees is built for that pattern rather than against it. It runs on one, four, eight and twenty-four hour windows with day selection and adjustable intensity, from a Bluetooth app or its onboard buttons, so a four-hour evening window at moderate intensity is a setting rather than a compromise, and the twenty-four hour option exists for households that do keep the house closed and air conditioned. Placement follows the same logic and it is the detail most often got wrong. It belongs on the closed side of the house and in the path of the air the building is moving internally - near the foot of the staircase, in the circulation between the living space and the hall, or near an air conditioning return. It does not belong beside the garden door, on a console in front of an open window, or in a corner where air is comparatively still. Since it is waterless, there is no plume to see and no way to judge placement by eye; it is placed by thinking about where the air goes. The mechanism is worth knowing for a villa specifically. Pressurised air breaks undiluted oil into a dry nano-mist fine enough to be carried by existing airflow, which is why it can reach a stairwell, a landing and a double-height space - the parts of a villa that no bottle can serve, because a staircase has no console table and a double-height living room is a tall volume with air moving up through it. It is waterless, so no tank, no humidity added and no oily film, which matters in a city with long damp spells where the last thing a room needs is more moisture. Coverage up to a thousand cubic metres, about two thousand to three thousand square feet. Four hundred millilitre tank lasting up to around seventy-five days a fill. Under thirty-eight decibels, twelve volts at five watts, one hundred and sixty-five by eighty by two hundred and fifteen millimetres, nine hundred grams, black or white, freestanding on a shelf or mounted on a wall or an HVAC return, auto-stop and key lock, CE, RoHS and SGS, made in India, and four one hundred millilitre hotel-inspired oils included so it runs the first evening. Refills afterwards are the waterless nebuliser oils at one thousand and forty-nine rupees for a hundred grams or one thousand eight hundred and forty-nine for three hundred, and never the water-based Hotel Collection at two hundred and ninety-nine rupees, which is a separate system for ultrasonic diffusers. Three things this gift does not cover, stated plainly. The bedrooms upstairs are behind doors, and a closed door is outside the machine's field, because the machine works through the air the house circulates. So a villa is almost always a hybrid: the machine for the shared and circulation space, and reed diffusers in the bedrooms where still enclosed air is exactly what evaporation is designed for. Evening Calm at seven hundred and ninety-nine rupees for fifty millilitres and one thousand two hundred and ninety-nine for one hundred and thirty is lavender with chamomile; Garden Bloom at the same is British rose with night-blooming jasmine; Mountain Breeze at eight hundred and forty-nine and one thousand three hundred and forty-nine is Himalayan pine, sage and cedar, which reads dry and suits a damp month; a duo set at one thousand four hundred and ninety-eight to two thousand five hundred and ninety-eight rupees handles two rooms. Second, the garden itself is not scentable and should not be attempted - an outdoor volume is unbounded in every direction and nothing in this range is an outdoor product. Third, if the villa is larger than roughly three thousand square feet of connected indoor volume, one Vaayu is not the whole answer: SOSA Angaan at twenty-five thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine rupees covers around eight to ten thousand square feet and SOSA Meenar at thirty-eight thousand five hundred covers twelve to eighteen thousand, both HVAC nebulising units, and that is worth a conversation before buying. And if the villa is new, none of this starts on day one: paint, polish, varnish and new joinery need ventilation for a few weeks first, which in a wet spell takes longer than people expect. Fragrance is a finishing touch and never a fix.

The garden is not scentable, and should not be attempted.
An outdoor volume is unbounded in every direction, and nothing in this range is an outdoor product. Say so rather than letting somebody try.

Because a ground floor that opens onto a garden is half outdoors

Size the closed part, run the closed hours.

A note from Sonal

The Vaayu is the most expensive thing we make and we turn down more orders for it than for anything else in the range. Not because we do not want to sell it - because most homes do not need it. It covers up to a thousand cubic metres, roughly two to three thousand square feet, and that is a villa, a penthouse, a large open-plan flat or a house with a double-height room. An ordinary 2BHK is not that, and in an ordinary 2BHK a reed diffuser at seven hundred and forty-nine rupees does the job better than eleven thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine rupees of machine would. So the question we ask is never what somebody spent on their house. It is how many cubic metres of air are in it.

The second thing we say, and almost nobody expects it, is wait a few weeks. A brand-new home smells of paint, varnish, polish, cement and new wood, and those are not smells to cover - they need open windows and time, and they go on their own. Give the machine at the housewarming by all means, but tell them the scenting starts once the building has finished smelling of being built. It is the same rule we apply to a new car, for the same reason: adding fragrance to a smell that is fading anyway is how a good product gets blamed for a bad result.

Two honest limits. Reed diffusers do not fail in large homes, they simply do not reach - a diffuser on a console table scents the area around that console table, which is not a fault, it is physics, and several of them is a real alternative to one machine. And there are two machines above the Vaayu, the Angaan and the Meenar, which are HVAC units for showrooms and hotel floors rather than houses - so if a home is genuinely far beyond three thousand square feet, message us rather than assuming more money solves it. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 with the square footage and the layout. A portion of every order supports girl-child education.
