With one bottle, placed as far from the adjustment room door as the room allows. At 300 sq ft the entire clinic is a single body of air, which removes the zoning question and leaves only a distance and a dose.
Quick answers — read this first
How do I scent a 300 sq ft chiropractic clinic? One 50ml reed diffuser, stood at the point furthest from the adjustment room door, with three of the six reeds in it. Do the volume sum first: 300 sq ft × a 3.05 m ceiling × 0.0929 gives roughly 85 cubic metres. That is one connected body of air with a partition in it rather than a building with zones, so there is nothing to schedule and nothing to divide. Distance and reed count are your only two controls, and both are free.
Can I keep the adjustment room unscented at this size? Not by installing anything, and that is the honest position. In 85 cubic metres the cabin is a partitioned part of the same air, so a faint drift into it is unavoidable and normal. What you can do is set the whole clinic's level low enough that the drift is acceptable to somebody lying prone with their face in a cradle, which means the cabin door sets your dose. Put no source in the cabin, keep the door shut between clients, and run the reception quieter than you would in a larger practice.
Would a small machine be better than a reed here? It would buy you a switch, and nothing else. The Boond at ₹899 is a desk unit quoted at 150 sq ft or under and the Sukoon at ₹1,899 at 270-320 sq ft, so neither adds coverage you lack at 85 cubic metres. Both are ultrasonic, so both put a little water into the air and both need a tank routine. If nobody on your staff has asked for an off switch, that money buys a feature the room has no use for.
The short answer
Short answer: With one 50ml reed diffuser and nothing else. Three hundred square feet at a 3.05 m ceiling works out at roughly 85 cubic metres, which is a single connected volume rather than a set of zones, so the plan is a position and a reed count rather than a machine. Stand the bottle furthest from the adjustment room door, use three reeds, and let the cabin set the level for the whole clinic.
The pick: one 50ml Morning Freshness at ₹749, three reeds standing, on a low surface at the far end of reception.
Next step: send the floor dimensions, the ceiling height and where the cabin door sits, and we will do the cubic sum and mark the spot with you - ask for a clinic scenting plan.
How should I scent a chiropractic clinic of about 300 sq ft?
With one bottle, positioned carefully, and nothing after that. Start with the volume, because at this size the volume settles the whole page. You scent air, not floor, so the number that matters is cubic: floor area in square feet × ceiling height in metres × 0.0929. Three hundred square feet at a normal Indian ceiling of 3.05 metres gives 300 × 3.05 × 0.0929, which is about 85 cubic metres. Set that against the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, which is rated to 1000 cubic metres, and you are looking at roughly twelve of your clinic in one machine. The Angaan at ₹25,999 is rated to 3,000 cubic metres, about thirty-five of it. Even the small ultrasonics are sized past you rather than under you: the Boond at ₹899 is a desk unit for 150 sq ft or less, the Sukoon at ₹1,899 is quoted at 270-320 sq ft, and the Megh at ₹3,499 is a runtime and humidity machine covering only about 215 sq ft, so its six litres buy hours rather than reach. Now the part that is specific to 300 sq ft, and it is not the price. At this size your clinic is one connected volume with a partition in it. The adjustment room is not a separate air space; it is a corner of the same air behind a door that opens forty times a day. That inverts the usual instruction. In a larger practice you scent the front and the corridor buffers the cabins. Here there is no buffer, so the cabin sets the level for the whole clinic. Put the bottle on a low surface at the point furthest from the cabin door, stand three of the six reeds rather than six, and judge the result from inside the cabin with the door shut rather than from behind the desk. If it is noticeable in there, take a reed out. The room you are protecting is the one where a client is prone with their nose centimetres from the upholstery for forty minutes and cannot turn away, and that room outranks your reception every time. So the purchase is one 50ml Morning Freshness at ₹749, out of direct sunlight, soaked for an hour before the first flip and flipped weekly with gloves. Fragrance here is an ambience decision like lighting, seating or flooring, it sits alongside your ventilation and cleaning rather than replacing them, SOSA products are not medical devices, we make no claim that scenting affects bookings, retention or spend, adjustment and treatment rooms stay unscented, and the clinician's judgement overrides any scenting plan.
Roughly 85 cubic metres, all of it connected, so there is nothing to zone. One 50ml reed at ₹749 with three reeds standing, placed furthest from the cabin door, and the cabin decides the level.
The whole purchase is one 50ml Morning Freshness at ₹749, or Mountain Breeze at ₹849 if the interior is dark and quiet. There is no second line on the invoice and I would rather say so than invent one.
These are here so the decision is made by arithmetic rather than by my preference. Hold your own cubic figure next to the ratings on the product pages and the shortlist writes itself, which is the reason we publish both numbers.
Waterless cold-air nebuliser at ₹11,999, rated to 1000m³ or roughly 2,000-3,000 sq ft. Bought for control, corridor distribution and 90+ days of uptime. A 300 sq ft clinic has no corridor to distribute along and no schedule to keep.
HVAC nebulising diffuser at ₹25,999, rated to 3,000m³, about 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir. Against 85 cubic metres that is around thirty-five of your clinic. It belongs to a facility, not to a practice this size.
₹11,999, 1000m³ coverage (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft), waterless nebulisation of undiluted oil, 400ml tank lasting 90+ days, Bluetooth app and onboard buttons, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, key-lock, under 38dB, 5W. CE, RoHS and SGS are electrical and compliance marks, not medical approval. Made in India.
Three things eighty-five cubic metres decides for you
The number does more work than any preference on this page. Once you have it, three decisions stop being decisions, and the third is the one that separates a small clinic from a small shop.
1
Consequence one
There are no zones, so there is nothing to zone
A scenting plan for a larger practice is mostly a map: this space gets a source, that corridor takes drift, those rooms get nothing. At 300 sq ft the map has one shape on it. Reception, the desk, the two chairs and the cabin partition are all sharing the same 85 cubic metres, and a door that opens between clients does not create a second volume, it creates a restriction in one volume. That removes an entire category of spending. You cannot buy separation here, and any product sold on the promise of separating these two spaces is being sold against the physics of the room. What you can buy is distance, and distance is free.
Tip: Do the sum with the height you actually have. A 300 sq ft room under a 4.2 m ceiling is nearer 117 cubic metres, and a mezzanine changes it again.
Separation is what mounting and run windows give a large plan. The Vaayu does that job properly at 1,500 sq ft and upward, and it has nothing to separate here.
The reed count is the dial, and three is the setting
Output from a reed diffuser is governed by exposed reed surface area rather than by how much oil sits in the glass. Six fibre reeds is the number the bottle ships with, and it is set for a normal domestic room, not for a clinic where somebody lies still for forty minutes on the other side of a partition. Start at three. Add a fourth only if a week has passed and nobody, staff included, has registered anything at all on walking in. Take one out the moment somebody can name the fragrance, because identification is the failure condition in a clinic rather than the goal. The bottle size is a separate question and it changes only how often you reorder: 50ml runs 6-8 weeks, 130ml runs 14-18, and both put out at the same rate for the same reed count.
A machine sells you an intensity dial and a lock on it. The Vaayu has both, and at this size a reed you can pull out of the bottle does the same job for nothing.
The cabin sets the level for the reception, not the other way round
This is the instruction that makes a 300 sq ft clinic different from a 300 sq ft boutique. In a shop you set the level at the door and the rest of the room follows. Here the most exposed person in the building is lying prone with their face in a cradle a few centimetres from vinyl, breathing through a hole, for the length of a session, and they cannot turn away from whatever is in front of them. A level that reads as barely-there standing at the desk is a different experience entirely in that position. So you set the number from inside the cabin: walk in with the door shut, sit for two minutes, and if you can detect it at all, reduce. Your staff are the second check, because the receptionist breathes this for nine hours.
Tip: Judge the level twice a week for the first month, once from inside the cabin and once at the entrance, and write down what you changed.
Where a clinic is large enough for a corridor, the Vaayu's timed windows keep the front zone busy while the back stays quiet. A single-volume clinic does that with distance instead.
In a clinic small enough to be one volume, the most exposed person in the building sets the level for everybody else, and that person is face-down in a cradle.
Every other sizing decision on this page follows from that sentence, including the decision to spend seven hundred and forty-nine rupees and stop.
Shown for the arithmetic: 1000 cubic metres rated, against roughly 85 in a 300 sq ft clinic. No intensity setting reconciles a gap that size.
Six lines, five of them free. Print it, stick it inside the stationery cupboard, and hand it to whoever opens the clinic on a Monday.

The position

Adjustment and treatment rooms
No source, at any level, ever. A faint drift through a shared partition is normal and acceptable; a scented cabin is not, and the difference is a purchase rather than a degree.
If your clinic is a little larger, the point at which a switch starts to be worth paying for is argued in reed or machine at 500 sq ft, the reason a bigger bottle does not buy reach is set out in why a reed stops at the reception, and the four honest reasons anyone buys a machine at all are listed in when a clinic needs an active waterless machine. SOSA makes no health, therapeutic or wellbeing claim of any kind, and no claim that scenting affects bookings, retention or spend.
What ₹11,999 actually buys: timed run windows, adjustable intensity, a key-lock and wall or HVAC mounting. Four capabilities, and a single-volume clinic has a use for none of them.
A 300 sq ft clinic does not have zones. It has one body of air with a door across part of it, and the person behind that door decides how strong everything else is allowed to be.

The four reasons a machine ever earns its price
Control, no water, distribution, uptime - and eighty-five cubic metres asks for none of them
Here for the day the practice takes a bigger unit, and for nobody reading this page today. One source per connected volume of air. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The SOSA size ladder
Two machines that are the wrong size for a single-volume clinic
At 300 sq ft the correct rung is the bottom one and there is no case for climbing. Two honest gaps worth knowing: SOSA makes no room spray of any kind, since every spray in the range is a car product, and there is no hotel-inspired reed diffuser, so a small clinic that specifically wants that lobby character cannot have it without a machine far too large for the room. Reed refills are sold as oil only at ₹2,399 for 300ml, with glass and reeds bought separately. Fragrance is an ambience decision like lighting or seating, with no health, therapeutic or clinical claim of any kind. It works alongside your ventilation, cleaning and clinical protocol, never instead of them, and SOSA products are not medical devices. Adjustment and treatment rooms stay unscented, staff must be able to stop the source within seconds, and the clinician's judgement overrides any plan. Ask for a clinic scenting plan if you would like the sum checked.

A note from Sonal
The first thing I do with a floor area is convert it, because square feet is a leasing unit and scenting happens in cubic metres. Three hundred by a three-metre ceiling by 0.0929 is eighty-five. I write that figure at the top of the page before I write anything else, and in a surprising number of conversations it is the only thing that needs saying, because the reader has been comparing their clinic against a machine rated for twelve of it without realising.
What makes a clinic this size different from a shop of the same size is the partition. In a boutique the whole room has the same occupant doing the same thing. In your clinic there is a person lying face-down behind a door that shares your air, and they are the constraint. I have walked into 300 sq ft practices where the reception was set beautifully and the cabin was two reeds too strong, and the owner had never judged it from in there.
So this page ends at ₹749, which is the least expensive thing SOSA sells, and I am content with that. We make no health, therapeutic or clinical claim of any kind and no claim that scenting affects bookings, retention or spend. Fragrance is an ambience decision, like lighting or seating. Treatment rooms stay unscented, and the clinician's judgement overrides any plan. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
How many cubic metres is a 300 sq ft clinic, and why does it matter?
About 85, using floor area in square feet × ceiling height in metres × 0.0929. It matters because scenting equipment is rated in cubic metres rather than square feet, so that is the only figure you can hold against a product page. Eighty-five against a machine rated for 1000 is not a margin, it is a mismatch, and it ends the hardware question in one line.
Where exactly should the bottle go in a 300 sq ft clinic?
On a low surface at the point furthest from the adjustment room door, out of the direct path of the air conditioning and away from the height a client's face sits at when they lean on the desk. Distance is the only separation available in a single volume, so use all of it. Never put it in the doorway itself, where air is being exchanged rather than held.
Should I use three reeds or all six at this size?
Three to begin with, in a clinic rather than a home. Output is a function of exposed reed surface area, so reed count is your intensity dial and it is the only one a bottle has. Add a fourth after a week if nobody has registered anything at all, and remove one immediately if anybody can name the fragrance, because identification is the failure condition here.
My whole clinic is one room with a curtain - does anything change?
Only that the level goes lower still. A curtain restricts air movement without dividing the volume, so a client behind it is in the same 85 cubic metres as your desk with less between them than a door would give. Two reeds rather than three, judged from behind the curtain with somebody lying down, and no source anywhere near the table.
Is there any version of a 300 sq ft clinic that should buy a machine?
Only where the room stops being 85 cubic metres or where control is a written requirement. A double-height or mezzanine ceiling lifts the cubic figure sharply, and a member of staff who needs the source stopped on a schedule is a real reason to want a switch. Absent one of those, a machine buys capability the room cannot use.
Included purely as a scale marker: the SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999 is rated to 3,000 cubic metres, which is about thirty-five times the air inside a 300 sq ft clinic.

Facts verified 24 August 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W (roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule), freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment. The SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB, and also runs standalone wall-mounted or lay-flat. Ambient scent is an interior and hospitality decision: it works alongside proper ventilation, cleaning and clinical protocol and is not a substitute for any of them, it is not a medical device, and SOSA makes no health, therapeutic or treatment claim of any kind and no claim that fragrance affects bookings, retention or spend. CE, RoHS and SGS are electrical and compliance marks, not medical approval.
