Scaling it: five bottles at ₹4,495 if only one bathroom is fitted out yet; seven at ₹6,093 once all four bedrooms are slept in; eight at ₹7,342, the ceiling, once the kitchen is closed too.
Two zones instead of one? A living half and a dining half, same scent, one 130ml and one 50ml, comes to ₹2,098 for the public zone alone.
2. The public zone is one bottle or two, and the test is a straight line of sight. If you can see the dining table from the sofa without turning a corner, one 130ml, stood near the entrance, does the job. If living and dining are separated by an L-turn or more than roughly 25 feet, it is two zones and two bottles — a 130ml plus a 50ml, same scent, ₹2,098 for the pair.
3. A bedroom earns a bottle only if someone sleeps in it. A 4BHK routinely has four bedrooms and three sleepers. The fourth — home office, storage, occasional guest — does not get a bottle by default; it gets one when it starts being used, not before. Same for a stairwell, landing, corridor or balcony: none of them hold a fragrance long enough to be worth the ₹749.
4. Sizes and reeds follow the same 150 sq ft line as any smaller flat, applied to more rooms. 130ml above 150 sq ft, 50ml below it; six reeds where people pass through, three where people sleep, two to three in a bathroom. Nothing about a large home changes the physics — it just multiplies the rooms the physics applies to.
5. Eight bottles is the ceiling, at ₹7,342. That is every bedroom slept in plus a closed kitchen. Past eight, a home stops smelling of a fragrance and starts smelling of fragrance — the long version of why is here.

What actually changes past a 4BHK
The first change is the public zone itself. Below a 3BHK, living and dining are almost always one continuous space you can see across in a glance, and one bottle standing on the entrance side covers it. A 4BHK public zone is frequently an L-shape, or a living room with a separate dining alcove, or two rooms joined by an archway — spaces where the far end is genuinely out of a single bottle's reach. That is not a bigger version of the same problem; it is a different problem, and the fix is a second bottle at the far end rather than a bigger bottle in the middle. Placement across a large home gets the full treatment here.
The second change is the gap between bedroom count and sleeper count. A 1BHK has one bedroom and it is occupied. A 4BHK has four bedrooms and, in most households, three people using them — a home office, a storage room, a room kept for parents who visit twice a year. Buying a bottle for every bedroom because the flat has four of them is buying for the floor plan instead of the household. The rule stays the one from the doctrine: buy per place you stop moving, and a room nobody stops in yet does not qualify, whatever the builder called it on the brochure.
The third change is doorway density. A 1BHK has perhaps two internal doors; a 4BHK routinely has six or seven, plus a corridor connecting several of them. That many doorways means a scent that drifts under one door can meet a different scent drifting under the next, in a way that never happens in a smaller flat. Below 4BHK this can be left to chance because there are only two or three scents in the whole home to begin with. Past 4BHK, with five or six bottles running, adjacency has to be planned — which is exactly what the fragrance-combination decision below is for.
The three decisions in a large home
Garden Bloom 130ml₹1,299Stand at the sofa and look toward the dining table. If nothing blocks the view and the distance feels like one room, a single 130ml near the entrance covers it — the same answer as a 3BHK. If there is a turn, an archway with a step, or the dining end is genuinely a separate room off a passage, treat it as two zones with the same scent: a 130ml where guests arrive and a 50ml at the far end. That is ₹2,098 for the whole public zone rather than one bottle quietly failing to reach half of it.The full specification for a large home
The table below is the standard six-bottle 4BHK laid out room by room, with the extensions to five, seven and eight bottles marked, and the rooms that get nothing at all included on purpose — a specification is not complete until it says what to skip. Longevity assumes the reed counts shown and a flip every three to five days.

| Stairwell, landing, corridor, balcony | Nothing. Open, transit or outdoor air; none of it holds a fragrance long enough to earn a bottle | — | ₹0 |
| Note on the public zone: if yours is genuinely two spaces rather than one, replace the single ₹1,299 row above with a 130ml plus a 50ml, same scent — ₹2,098 for the zone. And if you want one room to change on demand for guests rather than run always-on, add a Sukoon at ₹1,899 to the standard six-bottle kit: ₹7,143 for the pair, reeds as the everyday baseline and the machine for evenings. | |||

Reeds, flipping and the four ways a large-home setup goes wrong
Start every bottle at the reed count you intend to keep. Six in the public zone, three per bedroom, two to three per bathroom, six in a closed kitchen — and give each room seventy-two hours before judging it, because the reeds are still saturating and the room has not reached a steady state on day one. With six bottles running, resist adjusting more than one room a week; changing everything at once makes it impossible to tell which change did what.
Four failures show up more often at this scale than in a smaller flat, and each has a specific fix. A draught from a ceiling fan or an AC vent strips the top notes off a bottle within days and leaves only the base behind, which reads as the scent "going off" when it has simply lost half of itself to moving air — move the bottle, not the reeds. Unflipped reeds are the quietest failure: skip the three-to-five-day flip on even one of six bottles and that single room goes faint while the rest of the house is fine, which is easy to miss when you are not paying equal attention to six rooms at once. Nose blindness is real and gets worse with more bottles running simultaneously — you stop noticing all six long before a visitor does, so judge strength on a guest's reaction after the second week, not your own. And the failure specific to a large home: the stale bottle in a room nobody enters. An unused guest room or a rarely-opened home office left running for months goes flat and slightly sour, and that smell is worse than no bottle at all because it reads as neglect rather than absence. The fix is the capped-bottle method — keep the bottle sealed with its stopper in when the room is not in use, open it two or three days before guests arrive so the reeds have time to saturate and project properly, then cap it again once they leave.
Placement across a large home follows the same physical rules as a small one, just applied more times. About a metre off the floor, clear air on both sides, out of a fan or AC draught, out of direct sun, away from the hob if the kitchen is open, and above the reach of children and pets in every room, not only the ones you visit most. The room-by-room placement notes are here if you want the surface, height and draught detail for each of the six rooms rather than the general rule.
What a large-home reed setup actually costs
The full arithmetic, every total checked by hand. Reed diffusers carry no electricity cost and no consumable beyond the oil, so across six bottles the running cost is still just refills — and because the glass is designed to be refilled rather than replaced, a large home's year two is considerably cheaper than its year one.

Large-home orders used to worry me before I understood the pattern in them. Someone with a 4BHK would write in wanting to know the single biggest bottle we made, on the reasonable assumption that a bigger house needs a bigger diffuser. It doesn't. It needs the same small bottle, repeated correctly, at every place the household actually stops.
What changes past a 4BHK is not the physics of a reed — it is the geography around it. The public zone might be two rooms pretending to be one. A third of the bedrooms might be storage in disguise. And with six scents running instead of two or three, the doorways between them start to matter in a way they never did in a smaller flat. Get those three things right and the bottle count settles itself, almost always somewhere between five and eight, never past it.
If I had to leave a large-home reader with one instruction, it would be this: buy the public zone and the bathrooms first, because they are used by everyone including guests, and let the bedroom count grow only as the rooms themselves fill with people. Every purchase funds a girl's education through Nanhi Kali — not a percentage, not a quarterly cheque. Every one.
