1. Start with the Sukoon and only move if something makes you. At ₹1,899 the Sukoon covers 270–320 sq ft — the most floor in the range — runs 16–18 hours on low, and includes three 15ml Hotel Collection fragrances. For an ordinary Indian room it is the right machine and nothing else in the range beats it at that job.

2. Move down to a Boond for small spaces and first attempts. The Boond at ₹899 covers up to 150 sq ft, runs about six hours a fill and is USB powered with a soft night light. Right for a desk, a bedside, a small bathroom or a 1RK, and the honest way to test the habit before spending more.

3. Move sideways to a Megh only for runtime and dry air. Six litres and up to 100 hours means filling it weekly rather than nightly, and it humidifies a dry room properly. But it is rated to 215 sq ft — less area than a Sukoon for ₹1,600 more. Never buy it to cover more floor.

4. Move up to a Vaayu only for a genuinely large connected volume. Double-height living rooms, villa great rooms, connected open-plan above roughly 2,000 sq ft. The Vaayu at ₹11,999 is waterless, rated to 1,000 m³, and cannot take the Hotel Collection. It is one output point, so it never replaces a fleet of room machines.

5. And the Aangan only where there are ducts. The Aangan at ₹25,999 is a ducted HVAC nebulising system for 8,000–10,000 sq ft. It needs central air handling, and it scents everywhere the ducts reach — so the bedrooms lose their independent control. That is a household decision, not just a purchase.

Three ladders, not one

Ranges are usually built as a line, so we read them as one by habit: pay more, get more of the same thing. This one is built as three independent axes, and each machine is the top of a different one. On coverage, the order runs Boond 150 sq ft, Megh 215, Sukoon 270–320 — so the peak sits in the middle of the price list. On runtime, it runs Boond about six hours, Sukoon 16–18 on low, Megh up to 100 — a different order entirely. On volume, only the waterless machines appear at all, because volume is a property ultrasonics are not built to address. No machine is the top of two of those lists, and a home almost never needs to climb more than one.

Underneath the three axes there is a single principle that makes the whole range legible, and it is the same principle this entire series rests on: scent does not pass through a closed door. Fragrance moves by diffusion and by whatever air currents exist, and a shut door removes both. So the unit of home scenting is the room, not the square foot — which means coverage in a house is a counting problem, answered by buying more machines, and not a power problem, answered by buying a bigger one. Then strike out the ones nobody actually spends waking or sleeping hours in — a guest room used twice a year, a store, a utility. The number left is how many machines the home needs, and it is almost always smaller than the room count and larger than one. Corridors and stairwells do not go on the list at all; they are transit zones and they take their scent from the rooms either side, which is why a machine placed in a passage to "do the whole flat" achieves nothing.
The output: a number, usually between one and five. That is your machine count, before you have looked at a single specification.

One number decides whether you leave the ultrasonic range
Now measure the largest single connected space on your list. Up to about 320 sq ft, one Sukoon handles it. Between roughly 320 and 700 sq ft — a large open living-dining zone — use two Sukoons placed apart rather than one machine of any size, because two output points distribute far better across a long or L-shaped space than one does. Above roughly 2,000 sq ft of genuinely connected area, or in any double-height room, ultrasonic mist stops accumulating where people sit and you are in Vaayu territory at ₹11,999. Ceiling height matters more than the floor plan suggests here: the same 1,000 m³ is about 3,950 sq ft under a 2.7-metre ceiling and only about 2,150 under a five-metre void.
The threshold: the answer changes technology only at the top end. Everything below a double-height or villa-scale volume is an ultrasonic problem.

Runtime, humidity, budget and portability
With the count and the size settled, the remaining choices are about the room's habits. Does it need to run unattended for days, and is it dry? Then the Megh at ₹3,499 earns its place — six litres, up to 100 hours and real humidification, at 215 sq ft. Is it small, or is this your first diffuser? Then the Boond at ₹899 with a 15ml at ₹299 is ₹1,198 well spent. Do you want to move the machine around — into the guest room for a weekend, onto a desk for a working afternoon? A Sukoon is 17cm tall and goes anywhere; a Megh is furniture. And what does your city do in August? Ultrasonic output is mostly water, which is a comfort in a dry winter and a nuisance in a coastal monsoon.

The SOSA principle
Every machine here is the right answer to some home. The whole skill is describing yours accurately enough that only one of them fits.
And two facts do all the describing: how many separate air spaces you have with the doors shut, and how large the biggest connected one is.

Running whatever you buy

Placement is free and it outperforms every upgrade. Stand the machine about a metre off the floor — a console, a shelf, a chest of drawers — with a clear foot around it and out of the direct path of a ceiling fan or a split AC. Mist that hits a wall or a curtain condenses instead of dispersing, and moving air does not distribute fragrance, it pushes it into one corner and holds it there. In a long or L-shaped room, two machines placed apart beat one machine of any size, which is the practical reason a second Sukoon is nearly always a better purchase than a larger single unit. Corridors get nothing; they borrow from the rooms either side.

Dose low and run short, whatever the tank holds. The Hotel Collection guidance is 3–6 drops per tank: two to three in a Boond, three to four in a Sukoon, five to six per fill in a Megh — note that the Megh takes only about twice the Sukoon's dose for twelve times the water, because you are dosing per fill rather than per litre. Then use the timer. Two hours in the evening on a 2H setting beats sixteen hours of continuous running, because a nose stops registering a constant scent within about twenty minutes; a machine that has been on since morning is producing a fragrance nobody in the house can still detect, and emptying a bottle to do it.

Match the liquid to the machine, and adjust for the season. The water-based Hotel Collection goes in the Boond, Sukoon and Megh only. Neat nebulising oil goes in the Vaayu and Aangan only — put it in an ultrasonic and it will not atomise, it will film the plate, and the mist will thin away over days. Reed liquid belongs in neither. Beyond that: use filtered water in a hard-water city so the plate does not scale, rinse the tank when you change scent, and remember that ultrasonic output is mostly water. In a dry Delhi January that humidity is a benefit worth running longer for; in a Mumbai August, cut the hours and drop to three drops.

Almost every wrong purchase I see — the corridor machine, the Megh bought for coverage, the commercial nebuliser in a two-bedroom flat — comes from skipping that walk and reaching for a specification sheet instead.

The second thing I would ask you to hold on to is that our price list is not a quality order. The Sukoon covers more floor than the machine above it and costs half as much; the Vaayu is a superb machine that is wrong for most flats; the Boond at ₹899 is exactly right for a great many bedsides and studies.
