Two thousand square feet is the number on the box - the Vaayu's manufacturer describes 1000m³ as about 2,000-3,000 sq ft - and it is the size at which owners assume the decision has been made for them. It has not. Two thousand square feet is a floor area; a machine scents a volume, and the tape measure has to go up before it goes across.
Quick answers — read this first
What scenting system is suitable for a 2,000 sq ft home-appliance showroom? One SOSA Vaayu (Rs 11,999) for almost every floor this size - a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, mounted high on the wall the AC supply crosses, on a trading-hours timer with the key-lock on. A 2,000 sq ft floor holds about 560 cubic metres at a three-metre ceiling, 745 at four and 930 at five, all inside one unit. Only a double-height space open to a mezzanine or atrium passes the rating, and that floor takes one SOSA Angaan (Rs 25,999) instead.

Why does the ceiling matter more than the floor area? Because fragrance fills a room, not a plan. A cold-air nebuliser puts a dry aerosol into the whole volume of air the AC is moving, and a floor with a six-metre ceiling holds twice the air of the same floor at three metres. Every machine is rated in cubic metres; the square-foot figure on a box assumes a normal ceiling. Measure the height, multiply, and compare that number - not the area - with the rating.

Does a taller showroom need two Vaayus instead of one? No. A taller floor that has outgrown one Vaayu takes one Angaan, rated to 3,000m³, never a second Vaayu in the same connected air - two sources in one volume make two gradients and a band where they overlap. A second machine belongs only to a second volume: another floor, a separately air-handled wing. Fragrance is an interiors decision like lighting or music - SOSA makes no claim that it changes dwell time, footfall or sales.
The short answer
Short answer: 2,000 sq ft is a one-Vaayu floor up to about five metres of ceiling - roughly 560m³ at three metres, 930m³ at five - mounted high on the supply wall, timer for trading hours, key-lock on. A double-height volume open to a mezzanine passes 1000m³ and becomes an Angaan floor. Never two Vaayus in one air.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) for a 2,000 sq ft floor at a normal or tall ceiling; one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) if the floor is a double-height atrium or opens to a mezzanine. Either way one machine, in the Mountain Breeze register (₹849 for the desk test), set low.
Next step: send the plan with the ceiling height written on it - and a section if there is a mezzanine - and we will do the multiplication with you: ask for a showroom scenting plan.

Straight answer
What scenting system is suitable for a 2,000 sq ft home-appliance showroom?
One SOSA Vaayu, in nearly every case, and the word nearly is the reason this page exists. Start with why the number on the box is not the decision. The Vaayu is rated to 1000m³, and the manufacturer describes that as about 2,000-3,000 sq ft, which is honest on one condition: a normal ceiling. Fragrance does not spread across a plan; it fills a room. A cold-air nebuliser breaks oil into a dry aerosol that rides the air your air-conditioning is moving, and the air-conditioning is moving every cubic metre between the floor and the ceiling, not the square feet you pay rent on. So the arithmetic for a 2,000 sq ft floor is the floor area - about 186 square metres - multiplied by the height. At three metres that is roughly 560m³: one Vaayu at a moderate setting. At four metres, about 745m³: still one Vaayu, mounted higher. At five metres, about 930m³: one Vaayu at the edge of its range, which still works at a normal floor but leaves no margin for a glass front that faces the afternoon sun or a door that never shuts. And at six metres - a double-height showroom, or a ground floor open to a mezzanine that shares its air - about 1,100m³, which is past one Vaayu and not, please, two of them. That floor is one SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999: an HVAC nebuliser rated to 3,000m³, connected to the plant or wall-mounted standalone, with programmable schedules. The reason it is never two Vaayus is the reason it is never two of anything in one volume of air: each source makes its own gradient, strongest at the nozzle and fading with distance, and two gradients in one room overlap in a band that is stronger than either while the edges stay weak, and then two people adjust two dials to fix two edges and the whole floor drifts up. One volume, one machine. So the system for a 2,000 sq ft home-appliance showroom is: measure the ceiling; if it is under about five metres, one Vaayu at ₹11,999, waterless, mounted high on the wall the supply crosses first and away from the return, above the top of the tallest display so it enters the moving layer of air; the 1h/4h/8h/24h timer for trading hours and off for any demonstration; the lowest intensity that can still be found at the far end at five in the afternoon; and the key-lock on. If the floor is double-height or open to a mezzanine, the same rules with one Angaan on the plant. In both cases the register is dry - Mountain Breeze cedar and sage, or lemon-mint for a white floor - set for the advisor who stands there all day, and the demo kitchen and any coffee counter stay unscented while they run. A taller room also changes the level, not just the machine: heat rises, the warm layer under a high ceiling carries fragrance further, and the setting that reads right at the desk at ten in the morning can be too much at the far end by five. Judge it from the far end, late. Fragrance is an interiors decision, like lighting or music: SOSA makes no claim that it changes footfall, dwell time, conversion or sales, no claim about what it does to any appliance or finish, and it is never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or extraction. The step below this size is the 1,500 sq ft centre, where placement is the whole job; the step above is 3,000 sq ft, where a Vaayu is at its ceiling and the Angaan comes into the conversation on a normal floor; the high-ceilings page goes deeper on tall rooms, and how to calculate scent-machine requirements is the whole method. Ask for a showroom scenting plan with the height written on the drawing, and we will do the multiplication with you.
2,000 sq ft is one Vaayu (Rs 11,999) up to about five metres of ceiling - about 560m³ at three metres, 930m³ at five. A double-height floor or one open to a mezzanine passes 1000m³ and takes one Angaan (Rs 25,999). Never two Vaayus in one air. Measure the ceiling before the floor.
For a 2,000 sq ft showroom at a normal or tall ceiling, one SOSA Vaayu - waterless, 1000m³, timer and key-lock, wall or HVAC mount - at ₹11,999. Write the ceiling height on the plan first.

Five things the ceiling changes

The height of the room changes the machine you buy, where it goes, how the air behaves, what level you set and when a second machine is honest. Here they are in that order.

1
The rating
What 2,000-3,000 sq ft on the box actually means
Every commercial scent machine is rated in cubic metres, and every manufacturer, SOSA included, translates that into square feet because that is how a showroom is described. The translation assumes a ceiling of about three metres. At that height 1000m³ is indeed about 2,000-3,000 sq ft - the Vaayu's figure - and a 2,000 sq ft floor sits inside it with margin. Raise the ceiling to four metres and the same plan is about 745m³; five metres, about 930m³; six, about 1,100m³ and past the rating. None of those floors has changed on paper. The habit to build is to write the ceiling height on the drawing before anything else, multiply, and compare that number to the rating. How to calculate scent-machine requirements gives the multiplication for any size.
Arithmetic: square feet times 0.093 gives square metres; times the ceiling in metres gives cubic metres. A 2,000 sq ft floor at 3.5 metres is about 650m³.
2
The mount
Higher ceiling, higher machine
In a tall room the air stratifies: the AC supply drops cool air in from high grilles and the warm layer sits under the ceiling. A nebuliser mounted at desk height in a five-metre room puts its aerosol into the bottom layer and the trace stays there, so the desk smells right and the far end smells of nothing. Mount it above the display line - the top of the tallest fridge run or wall-unit - and below the supply grille, on the wall the supply crosses first, so the aerosol enters the moving layer and the air carries it. The Vaayu's wall and HVAC brackets are what make that possible; a freestanding unit on the floor of a tall room is the most common reason I hear that a machine does not reach. Where to place a scent machine with central AC covers the supply-and-return logic in full.
SOSA Vaayu
The Vaayu mounts on the wall or on the HVAC, so in a tall room it can go where the air moves.

3
The air
Heat rises, and fragrance rides it
A tall showroom with a glass front is warmer under the ceiling than at the floor by the afternoon, and a warm layer carries fragrance further and reads stronger. That is why a level that seemed faint at the reception desk at ten in the morning can be plainly nameable at the specification table at five. Two consequences. First, judge the level from the far end late in the day, never from the desk at opening. Second, on a tall floor start a step below your instinct and come up only if the far end is empty after a full day. A floor of steel, glass and stone has nothing to absorb the trace, so the tall-room effect and the hard-surface effect stack. How strong fragrance should be inside an experience centre has the full test; the high-ceilings page explains why a double-height floor holds far more air than its footprint suggests.
4
The level
Set for the advisor, judged from the far end, locked
The person who matters on a 2,000 sq ft floor is the advisor who stands on it nine hours a day, not the visitor who walks it in forty minutes. Set the lowest intensity that can still be found at the far end at five in the afternoon, and if the team says it is too much, it is too much. Then lock it: a floor this size has four or five people on it and one of them will always want it stronger, and levels on a shop floor only drift one way. The Vaayu's key-lock means the setting found together on a Saturday is still the setting in six months. And the schedule: the 1h/4h/8h/24h timer covers trading hours and nothing else, and the machine goes off in one press before any hob demo or coffee tasting - the demonstration owns the air while it runs, and extraction clears the room after.
Rule: the demo kitchen and the coffee counter stay unscented while they run, at every ceiling height. Fragrance never clears cooking odour - extraction and time do.
5
The second machine
Only ever for a second volume of air
When a 2,000 sq ft floor passes 1000m³ the answer is one bigger machine, not two of the same one. Two Vaayus in one connected air make two gradients that overlap in a band stronger than either, and two dials that drift apart; one large machine vs multiple smaller machines goes through why. A second machine is honest only for a second volume: a mezzanine with its own AC and a floor between it and the ground, a closed wing behind doors that stay shut, a first floor. In that case each volume gets its own correctly sized unit - often a Vaayu for a 1,200 sq ft mezzanine and an Angaan or Vaayu for the ground floor - in the same register at the same level test, as the two-floor page sets out. A mezzanine open to the ground floor is not a second volume; it is a tall room.
SOSA Angaan
The Angaan - 3,000m³, HVAC-connected or standalone - is the one machine for a 2,000 sq ft double-height volume.

The SOSA principle
A 2,000 sq ft showroom is a one-Vaayu floor until the ceiling says otherwise - and when it does, the answer is one bigger machine, never two of the same.
Measure the height, multiply, compare the cubic metres to the rating. Under about five metres, one Vaayu mounted high; past 1000m³, one Angaan. One volume, one machine.
SOSA Vaayu
The usual answer at 2,000 sq ft: SOSA Vaayu, ₹11,999, waterless, 1000m³ - one unit mounted high, to about five metres of ceiling.

Nothing while they run. Machine off on the timer before the demo; extraction during and after; fragrance back only when the room smells of nothing.

The pages either side of this size finish the argument: the 1,500 sq ft centre is about choosing the wall, and the 3,000 sq ft store is where a Vaayu at a normal ceiling meets its rating and the Angaan enters. What a premium appliance showroom should smell like sets the register that all of them share. SOSA makes no claim that any of this affects footfall, dwell time, conversion or sales.

A note from Sonal

Two thousand square feet is the size that arrives in my inbox with the most confidence, because it is the number printed on the Vaayu's page, and I understand why the owner thinks the conversation is over. It usually is. Most 2,000 sq ft showrooms sit under a ceiling of three to four metres and hold well under a thousand cubic metres, and one Vaayu mounted high on the right wall is the whole answer. But I have stood in a 2,000 sq ft showroom that was a converted warehouse with a six-metre roof and a mezzanine open to the floor, and that room held more air than a 3,500 sq ft floor with a normal ceiling. Same number on the plan. Different machine.

So I ask for the height before I ask for anything else, and I ask for a section if there is a mezzanine. If the room is under about five metres, the Vaayu goes above the display line on the wall the supply crosses, on the timer for trading hours, off for the demo hob, locked at the lowest setting the far end can still find at five in the afternoon. If the room is double-height, the same rules with one Angaan on the plant. What I will not do in either room is add a second Vaayu, because two sources in one air do not add up to more reach; they add up to a strong band in the middle and two dials drifting apart.

The register does not change with the ceiling - dry cedar and sage, or lemon and mint for a white floor, set for the person who stands there all day - and neither does the rule about the demo kitchen and the coffee counter, which stay unscented while they run. And neither does this: no claim that fragrance moves footfall, dwell time or sales, and no claim about what it does to anything on display. It is an interiors decision, like lighting or music, and never a substitute for ventilation or extraction. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

Why does ceiling height decide the scenting system for a 2,000 sq ft appliance showroom?
Because a scent machine fills a volume of air, not a floor plan, and every machine is rated in cubic metres. A 2,000 sq ft floor holds about 560 cubic metres at a three-metre ceiling and about 1,100 at six metres - the same drawing, twice the air. The SOSA Vaayu is rated to 1000m³, so the first floor is well within one Vaayu and the second has passed it. Write the height on the plan, multiply, and compare that figure to the rating rather than the area.
At what ceiling height does a 2,000 sq ft showroom outgrow a single SOSA Vaayu?
At about five metres. A 2,000 sq ft floor is roughly 186 square metres; at five metres that is about 930 cubic metres, the edge of the Vaayu's 1000m³ rating, and at anything taller it passes it. Up to five metres the answer is one Vaayu at Rs 11,999 mounted above the display line. Past that, the floor is one SOSA Angaan at Rs 25,999, rated to 3,000m³, on the plant or wall-mounted - never two Vaayus in one connected air.
Does a mezzanine open to the main floor count as part of the same 2,000 sq ft volume?
Yes. If the mezzanine has no floor between it and the ground level and shares the same air, it is not a second volume; it is a tall room, and its air is added to the ground floor's when you size the machine. A 2,000 sq ft ground floor open to a mezzanine is almost always past 1000m³ and takes one Angaan. A mezzanine closed off with its own air-conditioning and a solid floor is a separate volume and gets its own correctly sized unit.
Should the Vaayu be mounted higher in a 2,000 sq ft showroom with a tall ceiling?
Yes, above the line of the tallest display and below the supply grille, on the wall the supply crosses first. In a tall room the air stratifies, and a nebuliser at desk height puts its aerosol into the bottom layer, where it stays near the desk and never reaches the far end. Mounted high it enters the moving layer the air-conditioning creates and is carried across the floor. The Vaayu's wall and HVAC brackets exist for this; a freestanding unit on the floor of a tall room rarely reaches.
Is an Angaan a safer choice than a Vaayu for a 2,000 sq ft home-appliance showroom?
Only if the volume calls for it. On a 2,000 sq ft floor under about five metres of ceiling the Angaan is a 3,000m³ machine in a 560-930m³ room, and it would run at its lowest settings to avoid over-scenting a floor of steel and glass. Buy the machine the cubic metres ask for: the Vaayu at Rs 11,999 for a normal or tall ceiling, the Angaan at Rs 25,999 for a double-height volume. Oversizing is not caution; it is a level you will fight every afternoon.

Facts verified 7 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days a fill depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W (roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule), freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification - electrical and compliance marks. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or displays; the four 100ml bottles in the box are the supply, and refill availability should be confirmed with SOSA. The SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB; the SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) is the HVAC machine for 12,000-18,000 sq ft. The SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) is a 500ml water-based ultrasonic diffuser for a single room of roughly 270-320 sq ft. SOSA reed diffusers - Mountain Breeze (₹849 / ₹1,349) and Morning Freshness (₹749 / ₹1,249), or the two together as the Fresh & Grounded duo (₹1,548 / ₹2,548) - are alcohol-free and phthalate-free, with a 50ml bottle lasting 6-8 weeks and a 130ml bottle 14-18 weeks. Ambient fragrance in a showroom is an interior and hospitality decision: SOSA makes no claim that it changes dwell time, footfall, conversion, basket size, sales or any other business number, no claim about what it does to any appliance, surface or finish on display, and it is never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or extraction. Warranty, installation, service and bulk terms are confirmed with SOSA directly. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own original interpretations; SOSA is an independent brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel or appliance brand named for reference. Coverage, fragrance usage and running cost depend on the space, settings and hours of use, and are confirmed on a consultation. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
