People ask me this question hoping for one number, and I can't honestly give them one — a studio flat and a four-bedroom villa are not the same project. But I can give you the tiers cleanly, tell you where each one stops making sense, and warn you about the cost most guides quietly leave out: refills. The machine is a one-time buy; the fragrance is forever.
The three tiers
What each level of whole-home scenting costs
1. Reed tier — from ~₹2,000. A handful of reeds (₹749–₹1,349 each) placed in living areas. Passive, no power, no humidity. A 50ml lasts 6–8 weeks, so budget for refills. Perfect for a 1–2 BHK; it stops making sense once you'd need more than five or six to cover the place.
2. Vaayu tier — ₹11,999 + oil. One waterless Vaayu covers up to 1000 m³ — a whole floor or a compact home — on concentrated oil that lasts far longer per bottle than water-based fragrance. This is where most 3 BHKs and floors land, and where the per-hour cost is actually lowest over a year.
