A 300 sq ft collection point and a 4,000 sq ft hub are different buildings doing different work, and the honest question is which parts of an identity travel between them. Two do, for nothing. One does not, and the reason is on our side rather than yours.
Quick answers — read this first
Can collection centres and hubs share one scent identity? They can share the two parts that a customer actually experiences: the register - dry, clean, cool, nothing sweet or gourmand - and the unscented-room list, which is identical whether the branch has one collection cubicle or twelve. Both of those scale for nothing. What cannot match is the hardware, because a 300 sq ft branch is a bottle and a 4,000 sq ft hub reception may be a machine, and those two formats do not run the same oil.
Why can't the two formats run literally the same oil? Because of a gap in my own range, and it is worth knowing before you design around it. The hotel-inspired fragrances exist only as machine fragrance - there is no hotel-inspired reed diffuser. And there is no cold-air refill oil sold for the Vaayu today: the 400ml in the box is the whole supply available, and refills must be confirmed with us rather than assumed. So a mixed estate standardises the register and the zero list, and treats literal oil-for-oil identity as something to check with us in writing first.
What does a mixed estate actually buy, then? At the small collection centres, one Morning Freshness reed at ₹749 - three or four reeds in the bottle, flipped weekly, and at 200 to 300 sq ft that is not the budget option, it is the correct one. At the hubs, whatever the public volume that survives your exclusions actually calls for, which is often a Sukoon at ₹1,899 and only sometimes a Vaayu at ₹11,999. Same register throughout, three very different price points.
The short answer
Short answer: Yes for the two parts that scale for free - the register and the unscented-room list - and no for the hardware and the oil. A 300 sq ft collection centre runs a ₹749 reed and a large hub may run a machine, and those formats do not share a fragrance: there is no hotel-inspired reed and no separately sold cold-air refill oil today.
The pick: one Morning Freshness reed at ₹749 per collection centre, with the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 only at hubs whose public volume genuinely earns it.
Next step: send the estate split by format with the scented area of each hub, and we will tell you where the identity holds and where it cannot - ask for a clinic scenting plan.
Two of those five lines cost nothing at all. The third is arithmetic, and the fourth is a gap on my side that a mixed estate needs in writing before it designs around it.
What a hub might end at - the collection centres are a bottle
We have small collection centres and large diagnostic hubs - can both use the same scent identity?
Two parts of the identity travel between them for nothing, and two parts do not travel at all, and it is worth being precise about which is which. The parts that scale for free are the register and the zero list. The register is a written description rather than a product - dry, clean, cool, structured, built from citrus, green, tea, herbal and light woods, with nothing sweet, gourmand, powdery or lavender-led. It costs nothing extra to apply that description to a 300 sq ft collection point and to a 4,000 sq ft hub, and it is the thing a customer moving between the two would register if they registered anything at all. The gourmand exclusion applies identically in both, because both have a fasting morning queue, and putting a coffee or bakery register in front of people who have not eaten since the night before is a discourtesy rather than anything more than that. It rules out Fresh Brew at ₹849 across your whole estate. The zero list scales for free as well and is genuinely identical: collection and phlebotomy, sample processing and bench areas, every scan room and control room, and changing cubicles are unscented at every site, as a flat rule and never as a lighter dose, because those rooms are governed by your lab director, your radiographers, the equipment manufacturers and your facilities engineer. A one-cubicle collection point applies exactly the same sentence as a hub with four modalities. Now the parts that do not travel. The first is hardware, and that is simple arithmetic: 200 to 300 sq ft of quiet reception is roughly 55 to 80 cubic metres, which is a bottle's job, while a hub reception with a cycling door and a heavy morning peak may genuinely need a scheduled machine. The second is more awkward, because it is a gap in my range rather than in your plan. There is no hotel-inspired reed diffuser - that range exists only as machine fragrance - and there is no cold-air refill oil sold for the Vaayu today; the 400ml in the box is the entire supply available, and refills must be confirmed with us rather than assumed. So literal oil-for-oil identity across a mixed estate is not something I can promise you off a product page, and a chain should get that answer in writing before it builds a standard on it. On terms more generally, SOSA has no bulk pricing, no discount slab, no minimum order, no GST arrangement, no custom branding, no published lead times, no installation or commissioning service, no AMC or warranty statement and no corporate account programme at all - a multi-branch enquiry goes to the contact page and nothing is promised on terms. A last, deliberate concession: a small collection centre and a large hub should not feel identical. They are different rooms doing different work, and a customer expects the hub to feel like the bigger building. Fragrance here is an ambience decision like lighting, seating or signage, SOSA products are not medical devices, the clinician's judgement overrides any plan, and we make no claim that a shared identity affects footfall, package sales or revenue.
The register and the unscented-room list scale for free and should be identical. The hardware cannot be, and neither can the oil - there is no hotel-inspired reed and no cold-air refill sold today. Standardise the description, not the bottle.
For a collection centre the purchase is one Morning Freshness reed at ₹749, three or four reeds in the bottle, flipped weekly. For a hub it depends entirely on the public volume that survives your exclusions - sometimes a Sukoon at ₹1,899, sometimes a Vaayu at ₹11,999.
This section is about the large end of your estate only. If most of your sites are 200 to 400 sq ft collection points, the honest reading of this page stops at the reed above, and I would rather you spent the difference on seating and lighting at those branches.
Hub receptions with a genuinely large public volume
Waterless cold-air nebuliser, 1000m³ or roughly 2,000-3,000 sq ft, ₹11,999. Bought at a hub for the morning peak and the door traffic rather than for coverage. Refills must be confirmed with SOSA rather than assumed.
HVAC nebulising diffuser, 3,000m³ or about 8,000-10,000 sq ft, ₹25,999, 800ml reservoir, metal body, under 42dB. Without accessible duct work its main advantage is unavailable to you, and a Vaayu is the better answer.
₹11,999, 1000m³ coverage, 400ml tank at 90+ days, app and onboard control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, key-lock, under 38dB, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounted. CE, RoHS and SGS - electrical and compliance marks, not medical approval. Made in India.
What travels between the two formats, and what does not
Three things to settle before anybody writes the word identity into a brand document. Two of them are yours to decide and cost nothing; the third is mine to answer and I have answered it plainly.
1
One
The register travels, and it is written not bought
The most portable thing in a scenting standard is a sentence, and it is worth writing yours as a description rather than as a product code. Dry, clean, cool and structured; citrus, green, tea, herbal, light woods, cedar, pine and sage are in; sweet, gourmand, creamy, powdery, heavy floral and lavender-led are out. Written that way, the register survives a change of format, a change of supplier and a branch refit, and any competent supplier can be measured against it. It also does the practical work at both ends of your estate: a collection point running Morning Freshness at ₹749 and a hub running a dry hotel-inspired machine fragrance are recognisably the same intention, even though they are not the same liquid. That is a more honest definition of identity than pretending two formats share a bottle.
Tip: Write the register as three adjectives and two exclusion lists. That fits on a line and cannot be misread at branch level.
At the hub end the Vaayu's hotel-inspired range sits in the dry, cool part of the register, which is why it pairs with a citrus-green reed at the small branches.
The zero list travels unchanged, whatever the branch size
This is the element people assume needs scaling and it does not. Collection and phlebotomy, sample processing and bench areas, every scan room and its control room, changing cubicles, and any space where a patient is undressed, cannulated, enclosed in equipment or waiting on a result are unscented at every site in the estate, as a flat rule with no lighter-dose version. A single-cubicle collection point applies the identical sentence a four-modality hub applies. The reason is jurisdictional rather than technical: those rooms are specified by your lab director, your radiographers, the equipment manufacturers and your facilities engineer, and a fragrance supplier has no standing in them. The consequence at the small end is more interesting than it looks. At a 300 sq ft collection point, once the cubicle comes out, the scented volume might be 180 sq ft of counter and two chairs - which is a bottle, comfortably.
Tip: The zero list is the one clause in a chain standard that needs no branch-specific version at all. Write it once and copy it.
A hub's Vaayu is sized against the public volume left after the same exclusions - not against the hub's lease area.
The oil does not travel, and that is our gap not yours
I would rather write this plainly than let a brand team design around something that does not exist. There is no hotel-inspired reed diffuser in the range: those fragrances exist only as machine fragrance. And there is no cold-air refill oil sold separately for the machines - the 400ml in the box runs 90+ days and is the whole supply available today, so refills have to be confirmed with us rather than inferred from a specification. For a single hub buying one machine that is a detail. For a mixed estate writing an identity clause it is material, and the correct response is to standardise the register in the document, treat the oil as an open item, and get our answer in writing before anything is signed. The reed line is the part of the range with ordinary catalogue continuity - published refills, oil only, at ₹2,399 for 300ml and ₹3,499 for 500ml.
Tip: Put the words to be confirmed with the supplier against the oil field. A standard with an honest blank in it beats one with an invented answer.
The same open item applies to an Angaan at your largest site. Settle the consumable question before it goes into a branch specification.
An identity that only exists when two branches run the same bottle is not an identity, it is a purchase order. The portable version is a written register plus a room list, and both of those cost nothing to copy.
It is also the version that survives you changing supplier, which is the test any brand clause should have to pass.
At the hub end only: a scheduled machine bought for the morning peak and the door traffic, with the refill position confirmed with us rather than assumed from the tank size.
Four elements, and only two of them are free. Read the fourth row before you write the word identical anywhere in a brand document.
The SOSA plan
Which parts of a scent identity survive both formats
Element of the identity
Collection centre and hub, side by side
The register
Identical, and free. Dry, clean, cool and structured at both ends; nothing sweet, gourmand, powdery or lavender-led anywhere in the estate.
The unscented-room list
Identical, and free. One cubicle or twelve, the same rooms stay at zero and for the same jurisdictional reason. No lighter-dose version at either size.
The hardware
Different, deliberately. Roughly 55-80m³ at a collection point is a bottle's job; a busy hub reception may earn a scheduled machine. View →
The actual oil
Not identical, and the reason is ours. There is no hotel-inspired reed and no cold-air refill oil sold today, so treat oil-for-oil matching as an open item to confirm with us in writing.
Why a hub gets a lock and a collection point does not: a bottle has no dial to drift, which is one of the quiet advantages of the cheapest thing in the range.
A hub and a collection point should not feel the same. They should feel like two buildings run by people who agreed on something, and that agreement is a sentence rather than a bottle.

The SOSA position for a mixed estate
Machines at the hubs only, bottles everywhere else
Every collection centre in your estate sits below all three rows and should be a reed at ₹749-₹849, with published refills, oil only, at ₹2,399 for 300ml and ₹3,499 for 500ml. There is no hotel-inspired reed diffuser and no cold-air refill oil sold today, so oil-for-oil matching across formats must be confirmed with us in writing. On terms, SOSA has no bulk pricing, no discount slab, no minimum order, no GST arrangement, no custom branding, no published lead times, no installation or commissioning service, no AMC or warranty statement and no corporate account programme at all - a multi-branch enquiry goes to the contact page and nothing is promised on terms. Fragrance here is an ambience decision like lighting, seating or signage, with no health, therapeutic or clinical claim of any kind, and no claim that it affects footfall, package sales, retention, reviews or revenue. It works alongside your ventilation, cleaning and laboratory protocol, never instead of them, SOSA products are not medical devices, collection, processing, bench, scan and control rooms stay unscented, staff must be able to switch the source off in seconds, and the clinician's judgement overrides any plan. Ask for a clinic scenting plan with your branch list attached.

A note from Sonal
The estates I see with this question usually have twenty small sites and two big ones, and the money conversation is entirely about the two big ones while the identity conversation is entirely about the twenty. That is the wrong way round in both directions. Twenty reeds at ₹749 is what your customers will mostly meet; the hub is what your brand team looks at.
I keep coming back to the same instruction: write the register, not the product code. A description survives a format change and a supplier change; a product code survives neither, and in my own range it does not even survive the jump from a bottle to a machine, because there is no hotel-inspired reed and no separately sold cold-air oil. That is my gap, it is real, and a chain deserves to hear it before it prints anything.
And I would let the hub feel bigger. A collection point that tried to feel like a 4,000 sq ft reception would be trying too hard, and customers read effort. We make no health, therapeutic or clinical claim of any kind, and no claim that scenting affects footfall, package sales, retention or revenue. Fragrance is an ambience decision, like lighting or seating. Clinical rooms stay unscented, and the clinician's judgement overrides any plan. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
Can a 300 sq ft collection centre and a 4,000 sq ft hub smell the same?
They can share the register and the unscented-room list, which is what a customer actually experiences. They cannot share hardware, because 300 sq ft of quiet branch is roughly 80 cubic metres and that is a bottle's job. And they cannot literally share an oil, because there is no hotel-inspired reed and no separately sold cold-air refill today.
Is there a reed version of the hotel-inspired machine fragrances?
There is not, and it is one of the gaps I would rather state than write around. Those fragrances exist only as machine fragrance. If literal oil-for-oil identity across formats matters more to you than coverage does, the workable answer is reeds everywhere - accepting that a busy hub reception on bottles alone will read faint against a cycling door.
What should the small branches in a chain actually run?
One Morning Freshness reed at ₹749, with three or four of the six fibre reeds in the bottle and a weekly flip with gloves. A 50ml lasts six to eight weeks, a 130ml fourteen to eighteen. At that size a machine is not an upgrade, it is a mismatch, and the money is better spent on lighting or seating at those sites.
Should the hub be dosed higher than a collection centre?
It will be a larger number on the dial and it should not be a stronger room. Dose is a level per cubic metre, so a bigger volume takes more output to reach the same faint level. The target at both sizes is the same: detectable on arrival, not identifiable, and set for the person who works a twelve-hour shift there.
Does SOSA offer a mixed-estate package covering both formats?
There is no package of any kind. No bulk pricing, no discount slab, no minimum order, no GST arrangement, no custom branding, no published lead times, no installation service and no AMC or warranty statement. Multi-branch enquiries go through the contact page and nothing is promised on terms. The register and the room list are what we can genuinely standardise with you.
Only if the estate has a genuine flagship: the SOSA Meenar at ₹38,500 is quoted for roughly 12,000-18,000 sq ft of HVAC-connected space, which almost no diagnostic hub reaches.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the planning advice applies to any brand.
Facts verified 5 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W (roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule), freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment. The SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB, and also runs standalone wall-mounted or lay-flat. The SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) is the largest machine in the range, quoted for roughly 12,000-18,000 sq ft of HVAC-connected space. Ambient scent is an interior and hospitality decision: it works alongside proper ventilation, cleaning and clinical protocol and is not a substitute for any of them, it is not a medical device, and SOSA makes no health, therapeutic or treatment claim of any kind and no claim that fragrance affects bookings, retention or spend. CE, RoHS and SGS are electrical and compliance marks, not medical approval. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own original interpretations; SOSA is an independent brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel named for reference. Coverage, fragrance usage and running cost depend on the space, settings and hours of use, and are confirmed on a consultation.
