Warranty and support on ultrasonic diffusers sold online in India
What should I look for in diffuser warranty online? Clarity over big numbers. Check who honours it (the seller or a distant factory), what it actually covers (transit damage, defects, or nothing), the time window to report, and whether there is a real person to contact.
What voids most diffuser warranties? Misuse - and the most common misuse is running thick raw essential oils that clog the plate, or using hot water. Use only SOSA water-based fragrance in clean room-temperature water to keep your unit healthy.
What to look for in warranty and support
Warranty language online is often designed to reassure rather than to inform. Here is how I would read it if I were buying, from any seller.
Who honours it. A big "1-year warranty" badge is worthless if the only route to claim it is a factory that never replies. Support you can actually reach - an email that a person answers - is worth more than a long number nobody stands behind.
What it covers. The single most useful cover for a fragile, water-filled gadget shipped across the country is transit-damage replacement. That is the failure most likely to happen and least your fault. Manufacturing-defect cover is a bonus; "no cover" is a red flag.
Be honest with yourself about wear-and-tear too. An ultrasonic plate is a consumable-adjacent part: treated well it lasts for years, but run thick raw oils or hot water through it and no warranty will save it. Care is the real warranty.
The reporting window. Most fair policies ask you to inspect and report damage quickly - often within a day or two - because that is when transit damage is provable. Note the window and open the box promptly.
What SOSA actually covers
Let me be completely clear, because vagueness here helps no one.
Reality: many of those badges are unenforceable. SOSA deliberately does not claim one. Instead we promise what we can truly deliver: a replacement if your unit is damaged in transit, reported within 48 hours of delivery.
| SOSA covers | SOSA does not claim |
|---|---|
| Replacement if damaged in transit (report within 48 hrs) | A multi-year manufacturer warranty we cannot honour |
| Real support you can email | Cover for misuse (raw oils, hot water) that damages the plate |
| Dispatch within 24 hrs; free shipping above ₹500 | Guarantees about scent lasting forever - fragrance is a consumable |
That is the whole truth of it. I would rather you trusted a modest promise we always keep than a grand one we would have to wriggle out of. If a competitor truly offers more and can honour it, buy theirs happily - but read the claim carefully first.

Versailles
I trained as a perfumer at ISIPCA in Versailles, but half the questions we get are not about scent at all - they are about the machine. Indian rooms are bone-dry from AC and winter, and most gadget diffusers are too small, too loud, or quit by midnight. So we made three: Boond (300ml, desk), Sukoon (500ml, bedroom, with a remote and mood light) and Megh (6L, whole-room), each shipping with three of our fragrances.
They are cool-mist ultrasonic diffusers - an ultrasonic plate turns water into a fine, cool mist with no heating element, so there is no boiling water or burn risk, and each has an auto shut-off when the tank runs dry.
One thing I say on every listing and will say here: use only SOSA's water-based Hotel Collection fragrance. Raw essential oils, perfumes and carrier oils are thick or solvent-heavy and can clog the misting plate and damage the unit. A few drops of our water-based fragrance in the tank mists cleanly and scents the whole room.
