Which SOSA unit? Boond for a desk or bedside, Sukoon for a bedroom, Megh for a living room - match the tank to the room.
What fragrance? A water-based hotel-inspired scent like SOSA's Hotel Collection - never raw oils, which clog the plate.
Picking the diffuser by room
There is no single best diffuser, only the best diffuser for your room. A big unit in a small bedroom is overkill; a tiny one in a living room will never fill it. So the honest way to choose is to start with the space, not the price tag.
| Unit | Best for | Specs |
|---|---|---|
| Boond ₹799 | Desk, bedside, hostel (~150 sq ft) | 300ml, USB, up to 6 hrs, colour night light |
| Sukoon ₹1799 | Bedroom, study, nursery (270-320 sq ft) | 500ml, 7-colour LED, remote + 2H/4H timers, 16-18 hrs |
| Megh ₹3499 | Living room, dry AC air | 6L, adjustable mist dial, ~35 dB, up to 100 hrs |
For most people chasing the hotel feeling, the Sukoon is the sweet spot: it runs a full night on 16-18 hours, you set the timer from the remote, and the soft light doubles as a night light. If your open-plan living room is the space you want to feel like a lobby, the 6-litre Megh has the reach and the runtime that a small unit simply cannot match.
The hotel effect comes from continuity, not power. A right-sized diffuser run steadily on a low setting beats an oversized one blasted for an hour. You want a quiet, always-there scent, not a burst.
The fragrance that makes it hotel-like
Here is the part people miss: the machine is only half of it. A diffuser filled with the wrong fragrance smells like a diffuser, not a hotel. The scent is what carries the association.
SOSA's Hotel Collection is seven water-based fragrances, each my own interpretation of the style a famous hotel is known for - a Ritz-Carlton-inspired white tea and cedar, a Westin-inspired white tea and aloe, a St. Regis-inspired amber and violet, and more. They are inspired interpretations, not the hotels' actual proprietary scents; SOSA is not affiliated with or endorsed by the hotels named, and the names only describe the scent style.
Myth: "Any diffuser oil will do." Raw essential oils and carrier oils are too thick for an ultrasonic plate and can clog it. A water-based diffuser fragrance is formulated to mist cleanly - that is why SOSA units ship with SOSA fragrance and I ask you to use it only.
Because each SOSA diffuser arrives with three of these fragrances, you have a complete hotel-scent setup out of the box - the right machine and the right water-based scent, from the people who made both.
The SOSA range
SOSA makes three cool-mist ultrasonic diffusers for different rooms, each arriving with three of our water-based Hotel Collection fragrances so you can scent from day one. Prices and headline specs below are live from the SOSA store. Whichever you choose, use only the SOSA water-based fragrance - raw essential or carrier oils can clog the misting plate.

Versailles
I trained as a perfumer at ISIPCA in Versailles, but half the questions we get are not about scent at all - they are about the machine. Indian rooms are bone-dry from AC and winter, and most gadget diffusers are too small, too loud, or quit by midnight. So we made three: Boond (300ml, desk), Sukoon (500ml, bedroom, with a remote and mood light) and Megh (6L, whole-room), each shipping with three of our fragrances.
They are cool-mist ultrasonic diffusers - an ultrasonic plate turns water into a fine, cool mist with no heating element, so there is no boiling water or burn risk, and each has an auto shut-off when the tank runs dry.
One thing I say on every listing and will say here: use only SOSA's water-based Hotel Collection fragrance. Raw essential oils, perfumes and carrier oils are thick or solvent-heavy and can clog the misting plate and damage the unit. A few drops of our water-based fragrance in the tank mists cleanly and scents the whole room.
