I have walked into a lot of hotels in my training years, and the good ones taught me something people rarely notice consciously: the scent does not change as you move. You catch it in the lobby, you catch the same note in the lift, you open your room door and it is still there, fainter, agreeing. Nobody in any room is spraying anything. The method
How to give a whole home one hotel-grade signature
1. Air and clean first. A signature over a musty or shut-up home just smells like fragrance losing an argument with damp. Open the house, fix ventilation, deal with any mould at source. Scent crowns a clean home; it never masks a dirty one.
2. Choose one scent — and only one — for the front of house. Living, dining, passages, entrance. Pick a note you genuinely like and commit for a season.
