First, read your floor plan
Before you count machines, count doors. The single biggest factor in a three-bedroom home is not its size but how connected it is. An open-plan 3BHK — living, dining and kitchen flowing together, bedrooms opening onto a short shared passage — behaves like one volume of air, and one well-placed machine can scent nearly all of it. A compartmentalised 3BHK, with bedrooms closed off behind doors down a corridor, is really four or five separate air pockets, and scent will not travel between them on its own.
So the question “how many diffusers” has two answers because there are two kinds of 3BHK. Decide which is yours by standing at the front door: if you can see and feel the air move through most of the home, you are on Route B. If you are looking at a corridor of shut doors, you are on Route A.
Route A: a unit per room
In a compartmentalised flat, scent each room you care about at its own source. The limit is honest: a closed bedroom off a shut door will not get the scent from a living-room machine. If two of your three bedrooms stay open or you only care about the shared spaces, the single Vaayu is ideal. If every bedroom is shut and you want them all scented, you are partly back to Route A — a Vaayu for the open space and a Boond in each closed bedroom.

The honest cost comparison
Up front, Route A is cheaper: a Sukoon and three Boonds land around ₹3,600 against the Vaayu’s ₹11,999. If budget is the deciding factor and your rooms are closed anyway, that is a perfectly good answer and where many homes start.
Over a year, the gap narrows and often reverses. Four ultrasonic units mean four tanks to refill, four settings to keep in step, and a little added humidity in each room; one Vaayu sips a single bottle on a timer, holds one strength, and adds no moisture — which in a humid coastal city genuinely matters.
