Safe-use habits once it is home
Buying well is half of it. The other half is a handful of simple habits. None of these is alarming - they are just sensible.
Beyond ventilation: place the bottle out of reach of children and pets, on a stable surface where it will not be knocked over. Never let anyone ingest the oil - it is fragrance, not food. Keep it off porous or polished surfaces that the oil could mark.
