The dose: two drops, not six. In a room this size a full dose is the commonest mistake, and there is no other room to escape to.
2. A Sukoon is not an upgrade in a 1RK. The Sukoon covers 270–320 sq ft. Put it in a 130 sq ft room and you spend the first month reducing drops until it stops being overwhelming. Buy it when you move somewhere it can stretch out.

Why the small machine is the right machine, not the cheap one
There is an assumption running through most fragrance advice that output is a virtue — that a machine rated for more area will simply do a smaller room better. It will not, because coverage ratings describe an output rate matched to a volume of air, and a rate matched to 300 sq ft delivered into 130 sq ft does not produce a nicer room, it produces a saturated one. You can feel this within a day: the scent stops being a quality of the room and becomes an object in it, something you are aware of rather than something you live in. People then reduce the drops to compensate, which works, but they have paid ₹1,899 for the privilege of using a machine at a fraction of its capability. The Boond is not a compromised Sukoon. It is a differently rated device, and 1RK is the room it was made for.
The second thing a 1RK does is remove every escape. In a 2BHK you can over-scent the living room and shut a bedroom door on it. Here the bed, the sofa if there is one, the wardrobe and the cooking corner all sit in a single body of air, so any decision you make about fragrance is a decision about your sleep. That is the real argument for the smaller machine and the smaller dose, and it is also why the "just buy the bigger one, you can always turn it down" advice fails specifically here. Turning it down is not free — it means running a 500ml tank at two drops, and finding somewhere to stand a much larger machine in a room with no spare surface.

Placement, drops and schedule in a single room
There are usually only three or four sensible surfaces in a 1RK, so placement is a short list rather than a plan. The windowsill, if it is deep enough and the machine is not going to be rained on. A shelf on the wall furthest from the hob. The top of a small fridge, if that fridge is not next to the cooking slab. Aim for roughly a metre off the floor and a hand's width off the wall so mist disperses instead of condensing on plaster — in a rented room that is a deposit problem as well as a fragrance one. Avoid the floor, the direct line of a ceiling fan, and the bedside at head height: a Boond a foot from your pillow is strong even at two drops.
On dose: start at two drops per 300ml tank and only go to three if the room genuinely reads of nothing after twenty minutes. The general Hotel Collection guidance of three to six is written for ordinary rooms, and a 1RK is not one. Give it that full twenty minutes before you judge — a diffuser under-delivers for ten and then arrives all at once. Schedule it around when you are actually in the room. An hour or two in the evening does more than six hours of background running, because you go nose-blind to a constant scent within about twenty minutes and stop perceiving what you are paying for. The Boond has no timer, so either switch it off before bed or let the six-hour tank run out on its own — the difference matters less than people think. Rinse the tank when you change scent; in a single room a muddied blend is something you live inside rather than walk past. Use filtered water if your city is hard, empty the tank if you are away for a few days, and never put raw essential or carrier oils in an ultrasonic machine — they are too thick to atomise and will foul the plate.
