There is a question nobody asks about a corporate gift until it is too late: can you order it as one thing? Not one product family, one line on one purchase order. A gift that has to be split into four different versions to fill your headcount is no longer one gift, and the moment those four versions are handed out in the same room, the company has accidentally made a statement it never intended to make.
Quick answers — read this first
Are reed diffusers a good premium Diwali gift for employees? Yes for a group of roughly 20 to 50, where you can order a single scent for everybody. A 50ML reed diffuser runs ₹749 to ₹849, is flame-free, needs no plug and no water, and lasts around six to ten weeks. Above 50 you start splitting the order across scents.
How many reed diffusers can a company order on one scent? Stock runs roughly 143 to 335 units per scent, so one scent comfortably covers a group in the tens. Five scents together could in theory cover more, but then five different gifts arrive in one office, which is a different problem.
Why do reed diffusers feel more premium than they cost? Because they are a furnished object rather than a consumable. Glass, reeds and oil sit on a shelf for two months. A ₹799 reed diffuser occupies the same visual space in a home as things that cost several times more.
The short answer
Short answer: Excellent for 20 to 50 people on a single scent, at ₹749 to ₹849 a head. Beyond that the order has to be split across scents and stops being one gift - route larger headcounts to the bulk enquiry.
The pick: a SOSA fragrance gift - alcohol-free, useful past January, from ₹379 a head.
Bulk: send headcount, per-head budget and cities, and we will confirm what stock can actually fill.
A corporate Diwali gift works when it is useful, appropriate to a professional relationship, and actually available in the quantity you need. SOSA's fragrance range runs from Rs 379 per head to Rs 3,999 for senior gifts, alcohol-free and handmade in India.
Can we give our employees reed diffusers this Diwali?
If your headcount is in the tens, yes, and it is one of the best-value premium-feeling gifts in the range.
What you are giving. A 50ML reed diffuser at ₹749, Garden Bloom or Evening Calm at ₹799, Mountain Breeze or Fresh Brew at ₹849. Flame-free, no plug, no water, no instructions. It runs for roughly six to ten weeks on the 50ML, which takes a Diwali gift comfortably into February.
Now the order line. Stock runs 143 to 335 units per scent. So for 30 people, or 50, you place one line for one scent and every single person receives the identical object. That is what makes it read as a gift the company chose rather than whatever was left. For 200 people you would be splitting across four or five scents, and the day it is handed out somebody will notice that the Bengaluru office got Fresh Brew and the Pune office got Morning Freshness. That is a small thing that becomes a large thing in about four seconds.
If you are over about fifty. The honest answer is a different product, not a bigger reed order. A hanging car perfume at ₹449 holds roughly 2,800 to 2,990 units per scent, which means one scent, one line, three hundred identical boxes. Send us the headcount and we will tell you what can actually be filled before you plan around it.
One product note worth stating plainly: reed diffusers use their own alcohol-free reed oil. The Hotel Collection is a separate water-based fragrance made for ultrasonic mist diffusers, and the two are not interchangeable. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: reed diffusers at ₹749 to ₹849 are a genuinely premium employee gift for 20 to 50 people on one scent, and the wrong answer above that, because the order has to split.
For a whole team that commutes, the honest starting point is a hanging car perfume at ₹449 - useful, gift-ready, and stocked in the thousands. For managers, a reed diffuser from ₹749.
What happens to a gift when you have to split the order
Three things decide whether a reed diffuser is the right corporate gift, and only the first one is about the product.
1
One line
Everybody should receive the identical object
A corporate gift is not really chosen at the product page. It is chosen at the purchase order, and the question there is how many lines it takes. One scent for the whole company means one line, one carton spec, one thing to explain. At 30 or 40 people a single Garden Bloom at ₹799 does that easily. At 250 it cannot, because no single reed scent holds 250 units, and a split order turns one gift into several of visibly different character.
Tip: Count the lines on the purchase order, not just the rupees per head.
2
Premium
It occupies more space than it costs
This is the real argument for reeds at a manager or all-company level. A ₹799 object that sits on a console table for two months is doing something a ₹799 consumable cannot. Glass, reeds and a scent that fills a room read as considered. The 130ML at ₹1,349 doubles the run time and looks the part on a shelf, and the day-and-night duo at ₹1,498 covers two rooms in one box.
3
No instructions
Nothing about it has to be explained
This matters more at scale than people expect. A gift handed to forty people cannot come with a briefing. Reeds need no flame, no socket, no water and no maintenance beyond turning the sticks occasionally. Compare that with a candle, which needs supervision and a safe surface, or an ultrasonic diffuser, which needs a plug, water and a compatible water-based fragrance. In any group of that size, some people will not use a fragrance product at all, for reasons that are entirely their own, so keep a quiet alternative available.
Tip: If a gift needs a note explaining how to use it, it will be used by half the people who receive it.
The SOSA principle
A corporate gift is not one product. It is one order line, and a product you cannot order in a single line has already stopped being the gift you imagined.
Reed diffusers at 143 to 335 units per scent are a superb answer for a group in the tens and a genuinely bad plan for a group in the hundreds.
Reed diffusers by the size of the group
Take your headcount first and the product question mostly answers itself.
The SOSA gifting edit
Reed diffusers by headcount, with the honest cut-off
Possible on two or three scents, but the split is visible. If you go ahead, split by office location rather than by seniority so there is nothing to read into it.
A gift the company had to split across four versions is no longer one gift. It is a ranking, whether you meant it that way or not.

The SOSA corporate gift edit
Every SOSA gift is alcohol-free, long-lasting and ready to hand over, handmade in small batches in India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is the edit by budget tier and by who the gift is for.
The SOSA corporate Diwali gift edit
Five tiers that cover a whole company - from a ₹379 attar to a ₹3,999 executive gift
Waterless car diffuser - the executive gift that is actually in stock
₹3,999
Two honest notes. Reed diffusers use their own alcohol-free reed oil; the Hotel Collection is a separate water-based fragrance for ultrasonic mist diffusers, and the two are not interchangeable. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations - SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

A note from Sonal
Most corporate Diwali gifts fail for the same reason: they are chosen to be defensible rather than useful. A box of sweets nobody eats, dry fruits that go into a cupboard. The gift is not really for the employee - it is for the person signing it off.
The test I would apply is simple. Will this still be in use in February? A car fragrance in the car of someone who drives to work every day passes that test. So does a reed diffuser in a home office. A body-worn perfume chosen for someone you do not know well does not, because fragrance worn on skin is personal - choosing it for a colleague is a comment on how they smell, and most people quietly do not wear it.
Two honest things I would rather say than sell past. If your budget is genuinely under Rs 350 a head, fragrance is the wrong category - buy something else and come back next year. And if you need three hundred of something we hold ninety of, we will tell you, because a Diwali gift that arrives in December is worse than no gift at all. A portion of every order supports girl-child education.
Frequently asked questions
Are reed diffusers good corporate Diwali gifts for employees?
For a group of roughly 20 to 50, yes, and they are among the best-value premium-feeling gifts available. A 50ML runs ₹749 to ₹849, lasts six to ten weeks, and needs no flame, plug or water. Above about 50 the order has to be split across scents, and at that point a car fragrance at ₹449 is the better answer.
How many reed diffusers can SOSA supply for a Diwali order?
Stock runs roughly 143 to 335 units per scent across the five scents. That covers a single-scent order for a team in the tens very comfortably. Anything larger should come through the bulk enquiry so we can confirm what is actually available before you plan around it.
Do reed diffusers feel premium enough for a corporate gift?
Yes, and disproportionately so for the price. A reed diffuser is a furnished object rather than a consumable - glass, reeds and oil sitting visibly in a room for two months. At ₹749 to ₹849 it occupies the same space in a home as gifts costing several times more.
What is the difference between reed diffuser oil and the Hotel Collection?
They are two separate systems. Reed diffusers use their own alcohol-free reed oil, drawn up the sticks with no power. The Hotel Collection is a water-based fragrance made for ultrasonic mist diffusers such as Boond, Sukoon and Megh. They are not interchangeable, so never buy one expecting to use it in the other.
Can reed diffusers be refilled after the gift runs out?
Four of the five scents have 300ML and 500ML refills at ₹2,399 and ₹3,499. Evening Calm does not currently have a refill variant, so if refillable continuity is part of what you are promising the recipient, choose Morning Freshness, Garden Bloom, Mountain Breeze or Fresh Brew instead.
