The standard kit: add Mountain Breeze 50ml ₹849 for the second bedroom (four bottles, ₹3,696), then Morning Freshness 50ml ₹749 for the second bathroom — five bottles, ₹4,445.
Past five bottles: the cart is decided entirely by the third bedroom — nothing for a store room, a working scent for an office, a gentler dose for a child, a familiar floral for parents, or a seventh bottle for a joint family's closed kitchen. The 3BHK ceiling is seven bottles, ₹6,493.
2. The second bedroom is almost always the fourth bottle. It is nearly always slept in or worked in, so Mountain Breeze 50ml ₹849 takes the cart to four bottles, ₹3,696.
3. The second bathroom, if you have one, is worth its own bottle before the third bedroom gets anything. A second Morning Freshness 50ml ₹749 takes you to five bottles, ₹4,445 — the standard 3BHK kit, and the point at which most flats stop.
4. The third bedroom is where the cart forks, and it forks six ways. Empty, and it stays at five bottles. A store room, an office, or a child's room — still five, the money spent inside rather than added. Parents moved in, or every bedroom now slept in — six bottles, ₹5,244. A joint family with a closed kitchen — the ceiling, seven bottles, ₹6,493.
5. Past seven bottles, stop — a 3BHK does not need an eighth. A passage, a balcony and an entrance hall get nothing at all, whatever else is in the flat; past the ceiling a home stops smelling of a fragrance and starts smelling of fragrance, full stop.

Why the third bedroom decides the cart
Every other room in a 3BHK announces its own job. The living-dining is where you sit; the master bedroom is where you sleep; a bathroom is a bathroom whatever else changes in the flat. A builder's floor plan fixes these before a single family moves in, which is why the setup for them barely varies — the general 3BHK setup is close to identical from one flat to the next. The third bedroom is the exception. It is drawn on the plan as a bedroom, sold as a bedroom, and then used as whatever the family actually needs — and that decision is made after the sale, by the people living there, not by the architect.
Across SOSA's 3BHK customers the third room settles into one of six roles with almost no overlap: a store room for suitcases and off-season linen; a daily home office; a child's room; a room for parents who have moved in; the closed kitchen of a joint household running alongside all of the above; or, in a flat bought ahead of a family that has not arrived yet, nothing at all. A store room and a home office share a door and a floor area and nothing else about how they should be scented. Treating them identically — a bottle for every bedroom, on principle — either wastes ₹849 on a room nobody stands in, or under-serves a room somebody works in eight hours a day. A four-fragrance 3BHK setup is common, but only once the fourth fragrance has a genuine occupant behind the door.
This is also why a 3BHK's ceiling sits at seven bottles rather than a fixed number that follows from bedroom count alone. Count the doors that shut — living-dining is the one open zone, then master bedroom, second bedroom, third bedroom, first bathroom, second bathroom, closed kitchen — and you get seven possible stopping points, never all of them occupied at once in the same flat. A 3BHK with an open kitchen and an empty third bedroom needs four bottles. A joint family with a closed kitchen and every bedroom full needs seven. Both are correctly furnished 3BHKs; they simply describe different households behind the same floor plan.
The three decisions in a 3BHK
Garden Bloom 130ml₹1,299The 50ml suits rooms up to 150 sq ft and lasts six to eight weeks. The 130ml suits anything larger and lasts fourteen to eighteen. In a 3BHK only the living-dining zone reliably clears 150 sq ft, so it is almost always the sole 130ml in the flat — every bedroom, however generous the third one is, takes a 50ml. The one exception worth budgeting for is a closed kitchen large enough to cook a joint family's meals in; that gets the 130ml too, because it is doing the same job at the same scale as the living room.Six carts, one per third bedroom
A 3BHK runs roughly 900–1,300 sq ft carpet, but as with every flat in this cluster the table below counts rooms occupied rather than feet. The first four rows total ₹4,445 or close to it — the standard kit, spent differently depending on the third bedroom's job. The last two rows are where a household genuinely needs more or genuinely needs less.
| Third bedroom is | Cart | Bottles | Total |

| A store room ★ | Living Garden Bloom 130ml ₹1,299 + master Evening Calm 50ml ₹799 + second bedroom Mountain Breeze 50ml ₹849 + both bathrooms Morning Freshness 50ml ₹749 × 2 — the store room gets nothing | 5 | ₹4,445 |
| A daily home office | The same living, master and two-bathroom bottles, with Mountain Breeze 50ml ₹849 standing in the office instead of the second bedroom. If the second bedroom is also lived in, add Garden Bloom 50ml ₹799 there too | 5 (6 if both used) | ₹4,445 (₹5,244) |
| A child's room | Living Garden Bloom 130ml ₹1,299 + master Evening Calm 50ml ₹799 + a second Evening Calm 50ml ₹799 in the child's room on two reeds + both bathrooms Morning Freshness 50ml ₹749 × 2 | 5 | ₹4,395 |

| A joint family, closed kitchen | The six-bottle cart above + a closed-kitchen Morning Freshness 130ml ₹1,249 — the 3BHK ceiling | 7 | ₹6,493 |
| Empty, bought for later ★ | Living Garden Bloom 130ml ₹1,299 + master Evening Calm 50ml ₹799 + second bedroom Mountain Breeze 50ml ₹849 + one bathroom Morning Freshness 50ml ₹749 — the second bathroom and third bedroom stay unscented | 4 | ₹3,696 |
| Note: moving between these carts is additive, not a restart. A store room that becomes a nursery is the child's-room cart minus nothing; a home office that gains a flatmate is the six-bottle cart plus a bathroom already owned. Buy for the room as it stands today and add the next bottle when the room's job changes, not before. | |||

Reeds, flipping and where each bottle stands in a bigger flat
The reed counts do not change with flat size. Six in the living-dining and, if you have one, the closed kitchen — both are rooms with real footfall and cooking or entertaining air to compete with. Three in every bedroom that is actually slept in — master, second, third, whichever applies. Two in each bathroom. The one adjustment worth making at 3BHK scale is the child's room, where two reeds rather than three is the better default: a child's room does not need bedroom-strength fragrance, it needs a trace of one, and pulling a reed after the fact is the annoying direction to correct in.
Flip every bottle's reeds saturated-end up every three to five days — this does not change with the number of bottles you own, though it does mean more flips to remember across a 3BHK than a 1BHK. A Sunday circuit of five to seven bottles takes under ten minutes and is the entire maintenance load for a flat that would otherwise need a plug, a timer or a reminder for anything electric. Give each newly placed bottle seventy-two hours before judging it; the first evening is never representative.
Placement follows the same rules whatever the third bedroom is doing: about a metre off the floor, clear air around the bottle, out of a ceiling fan or split AC's direct path, off the windowsill, away from the hob if the kitchen is open. In an office, keep the bottle off the desk itself and on a shelf or cabinet instead — papers and USB cables are exactly the surfaces an oil spill would mark. In a child's room, height matters twice over: above the reach of small hands, and on a surface that will not be knocked by play. Nothing goes in a passage, a corridor or a balcony in a 3BHK any more than in a smaller flat — a longer corridor is still transit air, not a room.
What each 3BHK cart costs — and the refill maths that starts to matter here
The full arithmetic, every total checked by hand. What changes at 3BHK scale is not the maths per bottle — it is the number of bottles running at once. A 1BHK owner tracks one or two refill decisions a year; a standard 3BHK on the five-bottle kit is tracking five, each announcing itself empty on its own schedule. That is where the 500ml refill stops being a nice-to-have and starts being the difference between this staying a purchase and quietly turning into a subscription you never signed up for.

Every 3BHK question I get starts with a number — three bedrooms, so how many bottles? — and I have learned to answer with a different question: what is the third one for? Not what it is called on the floor plan, which is always "bedroom", but what actually happens behind that door on a Tuesday. A store room, an office, a child, a parent, an empty room waiting for a life to grow into it — five completely different answers, and five completely different carts, from the same three-bedroom flat.
The bottle I would ask every 3BHK household to buy last, not first, is the one for a room nobody is using yet. I understand the impulse — three bedrooms feels like it should mean three bedroom bottles, and an empty room can look like an oversight on a shopping list. It is not an oversight. It is honesty. A reed diffuser scents a life happening in a room, and a room with no life happening in it does not need one, however complete that would make the set look.
Buy the floor first — living-dining, master bedroom, one bathroom, ₹2,847 — and let the rest of the cart follow the family you actually have, not the one the floor plan implies. Every purchase funds a girl's education through Nanhi Kali — not a percentage, not a quarterly cheque. Every one.
