This page has to be honest in both directions, and the second direction is the one that costs us money. There is a real point at which one machine stops covering a property, it can be stated in cubic metres, and pretending otherwise would waste a broker's viewing. There is also a much more common situation in which a broker is about to spend another eleven thousand rupees on a problem that would be solved by opening a door, starting an hour earlier, or scenting the route instead of the floor plan. Both of those are true, and you deserve to know which one you are in before you buy anything.
Quick answers — read this first
When is one Vaayu genuinely not enough for a property? Four situations. When the connected route is past roughly 1000 cubic metres - at a ten-foot ceiling that is about 3,500 sq ft, since 35,000 cubic feet divided by 35.3 is about 991 cubic metres. When ceiling height pushes a smaller floor area past the same line: 3,000 sq ft at twelve feet is 36,000 cubic feet, about 1,020 cubic metres. When a zone on the buyer's route is genuinely sealed and cannot be opened, because a tenant or owner occupies it or a door must stay locked. And when floors are separated by an enclosed staircase with a door, so the stack cannot carry anything upward. Outside those four, a second machine usually buys less than a door and an earlier start.
Should I buy a second Vaayu or a bigger HVAC system for a large listing? For a listing you do not own, neither, in most cases - and this is where the honest answer diverges from the price list. SOSA Aangan at Rs 25,999 covers approximately 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft and Meenar at Rs 38,500 covers approximately 12,000 to 18,000 sq ft, but both are HVAC nebulising systems that install into a building's duct system. A broker preparing someone else's flat for a viewing does not own that duct system and cannot commit to an installation in it. Those systems belong in a developer's permanent sales gallery, a hotel, a showroom or your own brokerage office. For a large listing, the broker's upgrade is a second portable Vaayu at Rs 11,999, or a smaller route.
Is two machines better than one in a property that does not need two? No, and it is worth saying plainly because it is a real risk rather than a theoretical one. Two machines in a property that one covers means two sources, two settings, twice the output into the same air, and a strong likelihood of an overscented flat - which is the single worst outcome in a viewing, because heavy scent reads as concealment and a buyer starts wondering what is being covered. It also means twice the set-up and pack-down at every appointment, and two sockets to find in a vacant flat. If you do run two, run the same register at the same low level on both and treat them as one system with two outlets.
The short answer
Short answer: One Vaayu at Rs 11,999 covers roughly 1000 cubic metres of connected air. It genuinely stops in four cases: a connected route past about 991 cubic metres (roughly 3,500 sq ft at a ten-foot ceiling); a smaller floor area with high ceilings (3,000 sq ft at twelve feet is about 1,020 cubic metres, and 6,000 sq ft at twenty feet is about 3,400); a zone on the route that cannot be opened; and floors separated by an enclosed staircase with a door. Otherwise, open the doors, start an hour earlier and scent the route rather than the square footage - all cheaper and usually more effective. Aangan Rs 25,999 and Meenar Rs 38,500 are HVAC installs into a duct system, so they belong in a permanent space, not in a listing you do not own. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
The pick: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) for premises to ~1000m³; reeds from ₹749 for a single room; cabin systems from ₹1,899; HVAC from ₹25,999.

Every customer-facing space hosts two audiences at once: the customer who forms an opinion in a single visit, and the staff who breathe that air for eight hours. Commercial scenting serves both with one move - a single refined fragrance, held evenly from the entrance to the far end of the floor, running on a schedule nobody has to remember. Customers experience it as "this brand has itself together"; the team gets premises that smell composed from opening to close.
How do I know whether I actually need a second machine for a listing, or just a better routine?
Test it against four thresholds, and if none of them is crossed, do not buy. 1. The route arithmetic. Measure only the path the buyer walks, multiply by the finished ceiling height, divide by 35.3. About 3,500 sq ft of route at ten feet is 35,000 cubic feet, which is about 991 cubic metres - right at a single Vaayu's roughly 1000m³ rating. Under about 800 and one unit is comfortable. Over about 1,100 and it is not. 2. Height. The same line moves fast with ceiling height. 3,000 sq ft at twelve feet is 36,000 cubic feet, about 1,020 cubic metres, already past. 2,300 sq ft at fifteen feet is 34,500 cubic feet, about 977. A 6,000 sq ft double-height villa at twenty feet is 120,000 cubic feet, about 3,400 cubic metres, which is three units of connected air and a different conversation entirely. 3. Sealed zones on the route. A tenant's rooms, a locked study, a staff room in use: if the buyer will be shown it and the door cannot be opened early, it is its own volume. Often that is a reed diffuser from ₹749 rather than a machine. 4. A staircase with a door. An open stair joins two floors into one volume; a stair with a door separates them, and the arithmetic resets on each side. Before any of that, exhaust the free fixes. Open every internal door an hour before the appointment. Start the machine earlier rather than turning it up. Scent the route rather than the square footage, which in a 3,000 sq ft flat takes the number you are buying against from about 850 cubic metres to about 391. Put the source on the airflow path a few metres inside the entrance rather than in the visual centre of the plan. Those four cost nothing and they solve most of what looks like a coverage problem. And know where the HVAC ladder actually applies.SOSA Aangan (₹25,999, approximately 8,000-10,000 sq ft) and SOSA Meenar (₹38,500, approximately 12,000-18,000 sq ft) install into a building's duct system - right for a developer's permanent gallery, a hotel, a showroom or your own brokerage office, and wrong for a flat you do not own and are trying to sell. Ventilate and clean first; fragrance never substitutes for either. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531. Made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: one Vaayu ₹11,999 covers roughly 1000m³ connected - about 3,500 sq ft of route at 10 ft, or about 991m³. Past that, or with a sealed zone or a stair door, buy a second. Otherwise open the doors, start an hour earlier and scent the route. HVAC from ₹25,999 is for premises you own. Registers from ₹299. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.

The four thresholds that genuinely break one unit
Three parts: the numbers at which one machine genuinely runs out, the four free fixes that should be tried before any second purchase, and why the HVAC rungs above the Vaayu are the wrong ladder for a broker.
Why this works
The upgrade test, in the order you should run it
The commercial standard: the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 - waterless, app-scheduled, ~1000m³ coverage. Single rooms start on reeds from ₹749.
Start with the honest version of the limit. A Vaayu is rated at roughly 1000 cubic metres of connected air, and SOSA's own published figure describes one unit covering 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft evenly using a room's natural airflow. Those two statements agree: 3,000 sq ft at a ten-foot ceiling is 30,000 cubic feet, and 30,000 divided by 35.3 is about 850 cubic metres, which sits inside the rating with margin. Push it and you find the edge. 3,500 sq ft at ten feet is 35,000 cubic feet, about 991 cubic metres, which is the line itself. 4,000 sq ft at ten feet is 40,000 cubic feet, about 1,133 cubic metres, and that is past it. Height moves the line harder than floor area does, and it is the variable brokers forget: the same 3,000 sq ft under twelve-foot ceilings is 36,000 cubic feet, about 1,020 cubic metres, so a flat that was comfortable becomes marginal purely because of the slab-to-slab dimension. At fifteen feet, 2,300 sq ft is 34,500 cubic feet, about 977 cubic metres, so a modest floor area in a double-height apartment is already at the limit. And a 6,000 sq ft double-height villa at twenty feet is 120,000 cubic feet, about 3,400 cubic metres, which is not a second-machine conversation at all - it is three units of connected air, and it needs zoning and a proper plan rather than an extra box. Measure the finished ceiling, not the drawing, and measure the route rather than the whole plan before you compare anything to these numbers.
Tip: about 3,500 sq ft of connected route at a ten-foot ceiling is where one machine ends - and twelve-foot ceilings move that line down to 3,000.
2
The cheaper fixes
Four free moves that solve most apparent coverage problems
Almost every broker who writes to us about needing a second machine is describing a symptom rather than a limit: the far bedroom smells of nothing, or the flat is uneven, or it faded before the second appointment. Four things fix nearly all of that and none of them costs anything. First, open every internal door an hour before the viewing rather than as you walk the buyer through. A closed door is a hard boundary and a coverage rating assumes one connected volume; opening the doors early is the cheapest way ever devised to make one, and a viewing is the one occasion when every door is going to be open anyway. Second, start earlier rather than stronger. Distribution through a connected flat is a matter of time, particularly in a vacant property where nothing absorbs and nothing holds, and an extra thirty minutes at a low setting beats an extra notch of intensity every time. Third, scent the route rather than the square footage. In a 3,000 sq ft flat that takes the number you are buying against from about 850 cubic metres to about 391, and it is the single largest correction available. Fourth, place the source on the airflow path a few metres inside the entrance, not in the middle of the room where it looks tidy and not at the front door where it announces itself. A machine standing behind a sofa, or beside an open balcony door, or in a corner with no air movement, will underperform in a way that looks exactly like insufficient coverage. Run all four before you spend, and be genuinely willing to conclude that you do not need anything.
3
The wrong ladder
HVAC is the upgrade for premises you own, not for a listing
There is a sales version of this page in which the answer to a large property is the next rung up, and it would be dishonest, so here is the real position. SOSA Aangan at ₹25,999 covers approximately 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, which at a ten-foot ceiling is 80,000 to 100,000 cubic feet, about 2,266 to 2,833 cubic metres. SOSA Meenar at ₹38,500 covers approximately 12,000 to 18,000 sq ft, about 3,400 to 5,099 cubic metres. Both are HVAC nebulising systems: they are installed into a building's duct system and they distribute one signature through it. That makes them the correct answer for a developer's permanent sales gallery, a hotel, a large showroom, a banquet venue, or your own brokerage office if it is big enough. It makes them the wrong answer for a listing, because a broker preparing a flat for a viewing does not own the property, does not own the ducting, cannot commit to an installation in it and will hand the whole thing over to a buyer in a few months. The broker's upgrade path is therefore flatter than the price list suggests: it goes reeds from ₹749, one Vaayu at ₹11,999, and then a second Vaayu at ₹11,999 for the properties that genuinely need it. Two units at ₹23,998 sit close to Aangan's ₹25,999, which invites the comparison, and the comparison resolves cleanly: two portable machines can be carried between listings, stood on a platform and packed down in five minutes, and an HVAC system cannot. Portability is the whole point in this business, and it is why the honest ceiling for a broker is two machines rather than a bigger one.
Tip: a broker's ladder stops at two portable machines - the HVAC systems are for premises you own, not for a flat you are selling for someone else.
The SOSA principle
One machine runs out at about 991 cubic metres of connected route. Most brokers who think they have reached it have actually reached a closed door - and a door costs nothing to open.
Test the four thresholds honestly. If you cross one, buy the second unit and run both on the same register at the same level. If you do not, open the doors and start earlier.

The SOSA commercial edit
Whatever your business sells, the system logic is the same: one signature, sized to the space, scheduled so it never depends on anyone's memory. A single small room or a consultation corner can sit happily on reeds with no power at all; a customer-facing floor wants the Vaayu; a venue or a flagship wants HVAC. Every SOSA system is supported from India, and the Hotel Collection blends - SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations - run across the powered ones. Honest notes for business owners: scenting compounds a well-run premises and rescues nothing. Ventilation, air-conditioning and cleaning come first, and fragrance never substitutes for hygiene or air quality - if the air is stale, damp or smoky, fix that at the source before any scent goes in. The people most exposed to the fragrance are not your customers but your STAFF, who work eight-hour shifts in it, which is why whisper calibration and locked settings are standard on every SOSA commercial install, and any staff sensitivity report should be treated as a recalibration signal rather than a complaint. Healthcare and wellness spaces need extra restraint: keep scenting to reception and circulation areas, never treatment rooms, and the practitioner's judgement overrides anything in this guide. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. Ultrasonic systems use the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance; the Vaayu and HVAC systems run waterless nebulising oil - the formats are not interchangeable. WhatsApp consult: +91 96192 18531. ISIPCA Versailles
A note from Sonal
I have walked into jewellery showrooms lit like museums, bridal boutiques with hand-embroidered walls, furniture floors styled down to the last cushion, clinics with better art than most galleries - and in almost every one of them, the air was an afterthought. Floor polish, packaging cartons, the phenyl from the morning mopping, the workshop or the loading bay drifting forward. The one thing every customer takes in before they see anything is the thing most businesses leave to chance.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles, where the world's scent-marketing perfumers learn the craft, and what I build for Indian businesses is the same architecture the global hospitality brands use, whatever you sell: one signature, sized to the space, run on a schedule - so the scent is as reliable as your lighting. A consultation corner may only need reeds; a full floor needs the Vaayu; a venue needs the HVAC systems. If you want it applied to your specific premises, message us on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 with the type of space and its approximate size - I read those descriptions myself.
Everything is made or assembled for Indian conditions, supported from Pune - and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Your brand gets a memory; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.
Frequently asked questions
If two machines cost about the same as one Aangan, why not just buy the Aangan?
Because they do different jobs and only one of them is portable. Two Vaayus at Rs 11,999 each come to Rs 23,998, which is close enough to Aangan at Rs 25,999 to make the comparison natural, but Aangan is an HVAC nebulising system that installs into a building's duct network and distributes through it. That is exactly right for a developer's permanent sales gallery, a hotel, a showroom or a brokerage office you own, and exactly wrong for a flat that belongs to a seller and will belong to a buyer in a few months. You cannot install into someone else's ducting for a viewing schedule, you cannot take it with you to the next listing, and the property will change hands with it in place. A broker's equipment has to be carried, stood on a platform, run for two hours and packed down, which is a portability requirement no HVAC system is built to meet.
Can I run one machine harder instead of buying a second one?
It is the most tempting substitute and it does not work, for two reasons. The first is mechanical: coverage is about how far a source can distribute through a connected volume using the room's own airflow, and turning up the output raises the concentration near the machine long before it improves anything at the far end. What you get is a strongly scented living room and a still-faint back bedroom, which is a worse result than an even, quiet flat. The second is the rule that governs this whole bank: heavy scent in a property viewing reads as concealment. A buyer who walks into a strongly perfumed flat starts wondering what is being covered up, and that suspicion costs you far more than an unevenly scented guest room ever will. If the route is genuinely too big, the answer is a second source at a low setting, not one source at a high one.
Does an empty property need a second machine when a furnished one would not?
No, and the reasoning is worth getting right because the instinct runs the other way. An empty flat feels like it needs more, because it is bare, echoing and visually large. What is actually true is that nothing in it absorbs fragrance, so what you release stays entirely airborne rather than being stored in curtains and upholstery, and a bare room with no competing smells makes a buyer's nose more attentive rather than less. Both of those point towards lower output and longer running, not a bigger installation. The genuine differences in an empty property are practical: there is often nowhere to stand a machine, so you use the kitchen platform, a window sill, the wall mount or a folding stool; and the machine is mains powered at DC 12V and about 5W, so a flat with the supply disconnected will not run one at all.
How do I decide between a second machine and simply showing fewer rooms?
Ask what the buyer is actually being sold, and be led by that rather than by the equipment. If a wing of the property is a genuine part of the proposition - the master suite, a family lounge that justifies the price, a second living room - it is on the route and it has to be right, and if it cannot be merged by opening a door, it needs its own source. If it is a store, a staff area, a utility passage or a room the buyer opens and closes in ten seconds, it does not need fragrance at all; it needs to have been aired and cleaned, which it needed anyway. Most of the time this question resolves without spending anything, because the rooms that are hard to reach with one machine turn out to be exactly the rooms nobody stands in. Send the plan and your route to +91 96192 18531 and we will mark it up with you.
If I buy two machines, should they run different intensities in different parts of the flat?
Only slightly, and only in one direction. Both should run the same register, because two fragrances meeting in a corridor is the fastest way to make a property smell deliberately perfumed. Both should run low, because the reason you have two is coverage rather than strength. The one legitimate variation is that a machine serving a smaller or more enclosed zone can sit a notch below one serving a large open volume, since the same output goes further in less air. Set both, leave the property, come back in through the front door and walk your full route as a buyer would - that walk is the only calibration that matters, and it will tell you within thirty seconds whether either machine is a setting too high. Judging from beside a machine tells you nothing, because you adapted to it in the first two minutes.

Facts verified August 2026: Ambient scent research consistently associates pleasant, congruent scenting with improved evaluations of a space and its service, longer dwell time and stronger brand recall at moderate effect sizes; congruence (scent matching the setting) and gentle intensity outperform strong scenting in replicated studies, and no scent effect survives poor ventilation, poor cleaning or poor indoor air quality. Olfactory memory is unusually durable: scent-linked brand memories persist and retrieve for years, which is the mechanism behind signature scents. Staff exposure is the design constraint, since employees breathe the fragrance for full shifts: whisper calibration, locked settings and sensitivity accommodations are standard practice, and healthcare and wellness settings call for extra restraint.
