The three decisions that protect a quantity buyer, all free: buy identically within a tier so nobody can compare · choose a low-polarisation scent, because you are buying for an average household rather than a known person · and ask before ordering, because availability by scent varies.
The floor: there is no SOSA reed diffuser below Morning Freshness at ₹749 and no diffuser machine below the Boond at ₹899. At ₹500 a head the honest answer is the Sandalwood or Smoked Oudh candle at ₹449, and it is a good answer rather than a consolation.
What does not exist: no bulk rate, no discount band, no GST invoicing scheme, no custom branding, no minimum order, no gift set, no gift wrap and no gift card. For anything above roughly twenty-five units, write through the contact page before you order.
2. Divide, and land on a real price beneath the result. ₹500 a head lands on ₹449 — the Sandalwood and Smoked Oudh scented candles. ₹400 lands on ₹379, the four message-free jar candles. ₹749 opens the reed line at Morning Freshness. Landing under a per-head figure is better than landing on it, because the margin becomes spare units.
3. Buy the tier whole. One product, one scent, every name. The commonest failure in this block is not overspending, it is a list bought in two halves — the good version for the people you see daily and something else for the rest — which creates a hierarchy everybody in the room can read in a second.
4. Choose the fragrance last, and choose it for an average household. Quiet and woody travels furthest across a list. On the candles that is Sandalwood or Smoked Oudh at ₹449; on the reeds it is Evening Calm at ₹799, the softest thing we make at 8.9, or Morning Freshness at ₹749, which carries the least cultural loading of the five. Fresh Brew at 9.5 is the least safe blind buy and never leads a list.
5. Ask before anything large. Each scent is stocked separately, so a large single-scent order is harder than a large mixed one. For anything above roughly twenty-five units, write to us through the contact page before you order. There is no rate to negotiate and no terms will be quoted; it is a question, and it is better asked than assumed.

The three axes this whole block turns on
Each page in the 10–25 family answers one shape of the question, but all nine of them move along the same three axes, and it is worth seeing them separately because people habitually collapse them into one. Quantity is a logistics question, budget is an arithmetic question, and fragrance is a judgement question — and they must be settled in that order. Almost every difficult quantity order I have seen was one where the fragrance was chosen first and the other two were bent around it afterwards.
Misty Mornings₹379At ten you can still hold the recipients in your head — you know who has a small flat, who dislikes anything sweet, who has a new baby. By twenty-five you have a spreadsheet, and a spreadsheet cannot tell you any of that, which is the moment specificity stops being thoughtfulness and becomes risk. Two other things change with the number. Comparison becomes certain rather than possible, because twenty-five people include at least two who will put their gifts side by side. And availability starts to bite, because each scent is stocked separately and a wall of twenty-five identical units is a harder ask than ten. That is why twenty-five is the point at which I ask people to write to us first. Below it, order the ordinary way and it works.
Sandalwood₹449The whole of this block sits on four tiers and they are worth memorising. ₹379 is a message-free jar candle, roughly fifteen to eighteen hours. ₹449 is the Sandalwood or Smoked Oudh single, the strongest-looking thing under ₹500. ₹664 is the two-pack, roughly thirty to thirty-six hours. ₹749 is where the category changes entirely, because that is Morning Freshness and six to eight weeks of a room quietly working without anybody lighting anything. Between ₹664 and ₹749 there is a genuine cliff rather than a step. And below ₹749 there is no reed diffuser at all, at any size or quantity — the cheapest machine is the Boond at ₹899, and the only sub-₹300 item on the store is the Hotel Collection 15ml at ₹299, which is a refill for an ultrasonic machine and never a gift.
Evening Calm₹799Fragrance is the axis people want to settle first and it is the one that should be settled last, because until you know the quantity and the tier you do not know what you are choosing between. The rule at quantity is the opposite of the rule for one person: choose the scent fewest people will push away, not the one you like most. Anti-floral is a common and firmly held position. Gourmands divide a room faster than anything else we make. Rose, jasmine, coffee and pine all arrive in an Indian home already attached to a memory; lavender and lemon do not. So across a list: Evening Calm ₹799 at 8.9 is the safest reed, Morning Freshness ₹749 the cheapest and nearly as safe, Mountain Breeze ₹849 the best for the hard-to-buy-for, Garden Bloom ₹799 only when you know they like flowers, and Fresh Brew ₹849 at 9.5 never at the head of a list.
The master arithmetic, ten to twenty-five
Before the table, the disclosure that governs every page in this block, stated once more because it is the thing readers most often assume away. SOSA has no published bulk rate, no discount band, no GST invoicing scheme, no custom branding, no minimum order and no lead-time arrangement. Nothing here is a special price. Order twenty-five and you pay twenty-five times the price of one. I print the multiplication because most people planning a list this size have never written it down, and in nine pages of doing this the totals have almost always come in below the figure the buyer was bracing for.
Two comparisons in the table are worth pausing on. The first: ₹11,225 buys twenty-five candles at ₹449, and ₹11,235 buys fifteen reeds at ₹749. Ten rupees apart, two entirely different plans, and the deciding question is not which product is better but how many names are honestly on your list. Fifteen good gifts and ten people with nothing is not a solution; it is a new problem with a visible edge to it. The second: the distance between the ₹379 and ₹449 tiers is ₹70 a head, which is ₹700 across ten people and ₹1,750 across twenty-five. That is usually the easiest ₹1,750 in the whole budget to find, and it buys the shift from a place-name to a material-name, which is the largest single change in how a gift is read at this price.
One piece of arithmetic that people consistently miss, and the only logistics fact stated anywhere in this universe: free shipping starts at ₹499. A single ₹379 candle does not clear it and a ₹749 reed does — but no order of ten or more ever fails to, on any tier. Which means shipping stops being a variable in your planning entirely at this scale, and the total in the table is the total.
| Tier | What it is | 10 | 15 | 20 | 25 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jar candle ₹379 | 80g soy, message-free, roughly 15–18 hours | ₹3,790 | ₹5,685 | ₹7,580 | ₹9,475 |
| Sandalwood / Smoked Oudh ₹449 ★ | The named-material candle — the sub-₹500 default | ₹4,490 | ₹6,735 | ₹8,980 | ₹11,225 |
| Wax melts / mugs ₹474 | Wax melts need a burner the recipient may not own | ₹4,740 | ₹7,110 | ₹9,480 | ₹11,850 |
| Jar candle two-pack ₹664 | Two jars, roughly 30–36 hours between them | ₹6,640 | ₹9,960 | ₹13,280 | ₹16,600 |
| Morning Freshness reed ₹749 ★ | 50ml, six fibre reeds, 6–8 weeks — the category changes here | ₹7,490 | ₹11,235 | ₹14,980 | ₹18,725 |
| Evening Calm / Garden Bloom ₹799 | Evening Calm at 8.9 is the safest blind buy in the range | ₹7,990 | ₹11,985 | ₹15,980 | ₹19,975 |
| Mountain Breeze / Fresh Brew ₹849 | Mountain Breeze for the hard-to-buy-for; Fresh Brew never leads a list | ₹8,490 | ₹12,735 | ₹16,980 | ₹21,225 |
The two honest gaps in this block
A pillar page earns its place by collecting what we cannot do as carefully as what we can, so here are both gaps in full. The first is the floor. There is no SOSA reed diffuser below ₹749 and no diffuser machine below ₹899, and quantity does not move either figure by a rupee. If your per-head number is ₹500, the reed is not available to you at ten units or at two hundred, and any page implying otherwise is quoting a price that does not exist. Below the floor the real shelf is: jar candles ₹379, the two named-material singles at ₹449, wax melts and mugs at ₹474, 3ml attars at ₹379–₹399 and car perfumes at ₹449–₹509. The ₹299 Hotel Collection 15ml belongs on none of those lists; it is a refill for an ultrasonic machine and does nothing without hardware the recipient almost certainly does not own.
The second gap is the bulk programme, which does not exist either. No rate, no band, no invoicing scheme, no branding, no minimum, no account manager. I have been asked for one several hundred times and I have never had one to give. What we do have is genuinely useful and smaller: help with selection, arithmetic done honestly at real prices, and a straight answer to a question about availability before you commit. The availability answer comes with a shape rather than a number — each scent is stocked separately, so a large single-scent order is harder to fill than a large mixed one — and I will not publish a stock figure, because it changes daily and a number on a page is out of date the week after it goes up. For anything above roughly twenty-five units, write through the contact page before you order.
And the fairness this block owes the alternative, stated once properly rather than nine times in passing. Mithai is not the lazy option; it is the ritual form of the greeting, and there are entries on nearly every list of twenty-five where it is simply correct — a first visit to somebody’s elders, a household where sweets are the expected shape of the exchange, a small group who will open the box and eat together on the day. In those cases a candle or a diffuser is a substitution nobody asked for, and giving it looks like somebody applying a rule instead of reading a room. Where the case in this block holds is the rest of the list: ten to twenty-five separate households, several near-identical boxes arriving at each in the same week, nobody having told you who cannot eat what, and the fourth box arriving as an event rather than as a gift. Duplication, dietary exposure, effort and duration are the four axes on which home fragrance wins. Ritual is not one of them.
What to buy, by the number you actually have
The whole block reduced to one table, arranged by the situation you are in rather than by the product. The last row is the honest gap, kept as a row with its arithmetic attached, because on a guide about buying in quantity the thing we cannot sell you is as useful as the things we can.
| Your situation | Buy | Why | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25 people, ₹500 a head ★ | 25 × Sandalwood or Smoked Oudh ₹449 | The highest real price under the ceiling, and the strongest-looking gift there | ₹11,225 |
| 20 people, ₹10,000 total | 20 × the same candle, and two spare | ₹10,000 ÷ 20 = ₹500, which lands on ₹449 and leaves ₹1,020 for late names | ₹8,980 |
| 10–15 people, ₹749 a head or more | Morning Freshness or Evening Calm reeds | Six to eight weeks of a room working, rather than one or two evenings | ₹7,490 – ₹11,985 |
| The number has to come down | 25 × a message-free jar candle ₹379, one scent | Uniformity intact, tier lowered — far better than splitting the list | ₹9,475 |
| The list is above roughly 25 | One message through the contact page, first | Availability by scent varies; a single-scent order is harder than a mixed one | No terms quoted |
| You wanted a reed at ₹500 a head: the honest gap | There is none. The line starts at ₹749, the machines at ₹899 | 25 × ₹749 = ₹18,725 against ₹11,225 for the candles. Said plainly rather than worked around | ₹18,725 |
Versailles
When we began writing this block I assumed the useful thing we could offer a quantity buyer was a price. It took a season of answering these messages to understand that the price was almost never the difficulty. The difficulty was that nobody had solved the selection problem, and negotiating felt like progress. People arrived with a per-head cell in a spreadsheet and an empty column beside it, and what they actually needed was somebody to say: buy this one thing, buy it for everybody, and stop.
So that is what these nine pages say, in nine different arrangements. Divide before you browse. Land under the number rather than on it. Buy the tier whole, including the two spare units for the names that appear on the last afternoon — and they will appear. Choose the quietest scent rather than your own favourite, because your favourite is a specific taste and you are buying for the average of twenty-five households you cannot picture. None of that costs anything, and all of it matters more than a discount would.
The one thing I will keep repeating is the floor. There is no reed diffuser below ₹749 and I would rather lose a sale than pretend there is, because underneath that figure sits 50ml of composed oil, six fibre reeds instead of rattan, a refillable glass bottle and a heat-stable CCT carrier rather than the DPG that turns bitter in an Indian summer — and at twenty-five units, a cheaper bottle would fail in twenty-five houses at once. If your list is above roughly twenty-five, write to us through the contact page before you order. There is no rate on the other end, only an answer. Everything is composed and made in Pune, and part of every order funds a girl’s classroom through Nanhi Kali.
