This is the most common villa size in India and the most common version of this question, so here is the short verdict before the arithmetic: yes, comfortably, across the entire band, and with enough margin that you will run the machine gently rather than at its limit. The three things that can turn that yes into a no are not the square footage at all - they are your ceiling height, how many of your doors are shut, and where the unit ends up standing.
Quick answers — read this first
Is a SOSA Vaayu suitable for a 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft villa? Yes, across the whole band and with margin. At a 10 ft ceiling, 2,000 sq ft is 20,000 cubic feet or about 566 cubic metres, 2,500 sq ft is 25,000 cubic feet or about 708, and 3,000 sq ft is 30,000 cubic feet or about 850 - all inside the Vaayu's approximately 1000 cubic metre rating even before you subtract anything. In practice you subtract a great deal, because the connected living volume is what a machine actually holds: usually 800 to 1,000 sq ft in a 2,000 sq ft house, 1,000 to 1,200 in a 2,500, and 1,100 to 1,500 in a 3,000, which is roughly 227 to 425 cubic metres. So one Vaayu at Rs 11,999 with four hotel-inspired blends included, plus a reed from Rs 749 in each closed room.
Will one Vaayu cover a 3,000 sq ft villa completely? It covers the connected living volume completely and reaches nothing behind a closed door, which is true at any size. In a 3,000 sq ft villa the entrance, living room, dining, passage and stair void usually come to 1,100 to 1,500 sq ft, about 311 to 425 cubic metres at a 10 ft ceiling, and that is the space one Vaayu at Rs 11,999 holds at an even level on a Bluetooth schedule. The four or five rooms behind doors are separate volumes and take a reed from Rs 749 or a Boond at Rs 899 each, which costs a fraction of a second machine and works better in a sealed room. For every room regardless of doors, the ducted Aangan at Rs 25,999 on central air-conditioning is the different answer.
Does a high ceiling change the answer in this size range? It is the one thing in this band that can make the arithmetic tight, so count it honestly. Volume is floor area multiplied by height, so 2,500 sq ft at a 12 ft ceiling is 30,000 cubic feet, about 850 cubic metres - the same load as 3,000 sq ft at 10 ft. And 3,000 sq ft at 12 ft is 36,000 cubic feet, about 1,020 cubic metres, which is past the Vaayu's approximately 1000 cubic metre rating on the whole-plan figure. Even then the connected part is what matters and it stays well inside, but a double-height hall should be added at its real height: a 600 sq ft hall at 20 ft is 12,000 cubic feet, about 340 cubic metres on its own.
The short answer
Short answer: Yes, across the whole 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft band. At a 10 ft ceiling the whole-plan figures are about 566, 708 and 850 cubic metres, all inside the SOSA Vaayu's approximately 1000 cubic metres, and the connected living volume you actually scent is smaller again - roughly 227 to 425 cubic metres. That margin is the point: the machine runs gently rather than flat out. One Vaayu Rs 11,999 with four hotel-inspired blends included on the connected volume, plus a reed from Rs 749 or a Boond Rs 899 behind each shut door. Place it low, inside the connected volume, out of the air-conditioning draught, near where the entrance opens up. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
The pick: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999, four hotel-inspired blends included in the box) for the connected living volume of a villa; reeds from ₹749 for a single bedroom or bathroom; a single room done properly from ₹899; the Aangan (₹25,999) ducted into central air-conditioning for genuine whole-home coverage.

A villa is not one room, it is a set of connected volumes and a set of closed doors, and the two need different answers. Whole-home scenting means one fragrance held evenly across the part of the house you actually live in - the entrance, the living room, the dining - running on a schedule so it is already there when someone walks through your front door, and already there when you come home yourself. The bedrooms, the guest bathroom and the study get their own quiet solutions. Nobody in the house has to remember anything.
Is a Vaayu the right machine for a 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft villa, and what decides whether it works?
Yes, and the margin is bigger than most people expect. 1. The whole-plan arithmetic. Floor area x ceiling height = cubic feet, / 35.3 = cubic metres. At 10 ft: 2,000 sq ft is 20,000 cu ft or about 566m³, 2,500 sq ft is 25,000 cu ft or about 708m³, 3,000 sq ft is 30,000 cu ft or about 850m³. All three sit inside the Vaayu's approximately 1000m³ even before you subtract a single door. 2. The figure you actually carry. A machine holds connected air, so count only the entrance, living, dining, passage and stair void: usually 800-1,000 sq ft at 2,000 (about 227-283m³), 1,000-1,200 at 2,500 (about 283-340m³) and 1,100-1,500 at 3,000 (about 311-425m³). 3. What the margin buys. Not a bigger smell - a gentler one. A machine running well inside its rating holds an even, low level, which is exactly the register a home wants, and it leaves headroom for a double-height hall, a 12 ft ceiling and a front door that keeps opening. 4. The machine. ₹11,999, waterless cold-air nebulising, Bluetooth app and timer, four hotel-inspired waterless blends in the box. 5. The layer that is not optional. Three to five rooms behind doors: a reed from ₹749 or a Boond ₹899 each. Three reeds is ₹2,247 and the house is ₹14,246; four is ₹2,996 and ₹14,995. 6. Where it goes. Low, in the connected volume, out of the air-conditioning draught, near where the entrance opens up. Ventilate and clean first. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 with your layout. Made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: 566m³ to 850m³ on paper, about 227-425m³ of genuinely connected air in practice, against a ~1000m³ rating - so yes, one Vaayu ₹11,999 run gently, plus a ₹749 reed behind each shut door. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
The whole-home answer most villa owners land on: the SOSA Vaayu - waterless cold-air scenting to ~1000m³, Bluetooth app and timer, and four hotel-inspired blends included in the box - at ₹11,999. One bedroom or a guest bathroom starts on reeds from ₹749; a single room done properly from ₹899; central air-conditioning from ₹25,999. The verdict across the band, and what decides it in your house
The verdict in numbers, what the spare capacity is actually for, and the decision that makes or breaks it.
Why this works at home
Why this band is the easiest sizing decision in the bank
The whole-home answer: the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 - waterless, app-scheduled, ~1000m³, and it arrives with four hotel-inspired blends in the box. A single bedroom or guest bathroom starts on reeds from ₹749.
Every size in this band lands inside the rating twice over
Run the whole band and the answer never changes. At a standard 10 ft ceiling, 2,000 sq ft is 20,000 cubic feet, about 566m³; 2,500 sq ft is 25,000 cubic feet, about 708m³; 3,000 sq ft is 30,000 cubic feet, about 850m³. Those are whole-plan figures, as if every internal wall had been removed, and all three are already inside the Vaayu's approximately 1000m³. Then subtract what a real house does with itself. The connected living volume - entrance, living room, dining, the passage joining them, the stair void - is typically 800 to 1,000 sq ft in a 2,000 sq ft villa, about 227 to 283m³; 1,000 to 1,200 sq ft in a 2,500, about 283 to 340m³; and 1,100 to 1,500 sq ft in a 3,000, about 311 to 425m³. So the load the machine genuinely carries across this entire band is somewhere around a quarter to a little over two fifths of what it is rated for. That is why this is the band the machine feels designed around, and why the interesting questions here are about ceilings, doors and placement rather than about capacity.
Tip: the honest figure for this band is not 850m³. It is closer to 300 or 400, because the bedrooms took their air behind the door with them.
2
The margin
Spare capacity is what lets you run it gently, which is the whole point
People read headroom as wasted money, and in home scenting it is the opposite. A machine working near its limit has to run harder to hold a level, and hard is exactly the wrong setting in a house where children, elderly parents and pets breathe the air for hours rather than walking through it for four minutes. A machine working at a third of its rating holds a low even level without effort, which is the register that reads as luxurious rather than perfumed. The margin also absorbs the three things that quietly eat capacity in this band. Ceiling height: 2,500 sq ft at 12 ft is 30,000 cubic feet, about 850m³ - the same load as 3,000 sq ft at 10 ft - and 3,000 sq ft at 12 ft is 36,000 cubic feet, about 1,020m³, which is past the rating on the whole-plan figure though not on the connected one. Double height: a 600 sq ft hall at 20 ft is 12,000 cubic feet, about 340m³ on its own, so count it at its real height. The front door: every opening exchanges air with outside, which is why the schedule runs ahead of arrivals rather than trying to keep up with them.
3
The decider
At this size, placement is what turns a yes on paper into a yes in the house
Two houses of the same 2,500 sq ft can give completely different results from the same machine, and the variable is where it stands. Four rules cover it. Inside the connected volume. Not in a bedroom, not in a store, not in a utility area with the door shut - it must be in the air it is meant to hold. Low. Warm air rises, so a unit at low level lets convection carry the register up through the room and up a stair void on its own, while a unit on a high shelf mostly scents the ceiling. On the long axis, entrance-forward. A house in this band usually has a long connected run from the front door to the dining end; the best spot is roughly where the entrance opens into the living area, close enough to the door that arrival is the strongest moment and central enough that the far end does not go thin. Out of the draught and out of the cupboard. A split air-conditioner blowing across the unit throws everything one way; a closed cabinet with no air movement suffocates it. Get those four right and 3,000 sq ft behaves better than a badly placed machine in 1,500. Send us your layout and we will suggest the spot before you buy rather than after.
Tip: the same machine in the same house gives a different answer depending on one decision, and that decision is free.
The SOSA principle
Across this whole band the machine is not being stretched. It is running at a third of what it can do - which is exactly the level a home should be scented at.
Yes for 2,000, 2,500 and 3,000 sq ft on the connected volume. The variables that matter are ceiling height, how many doors are shut and where the unit stands.

Whatever the house looks like, the logic is the same: one scent, sized to the volume that is genuinely connected, running on a schedule so nobody in the family has to remember it. A single bedroom or a guest bathroom is happy on reeds with no power at all; the living room you actually live in wants a machine; the whole villa with central air-conditioning wants the ducts doing the work. Honest notes before you buy anything. Coverage ratings assume connected air volume. A machine cannot push scent through a closed bedroom door, and it never will - so a partitioned villa is not one scenting problem but several, and honest sizing means saying so out loud rather than selling you one machine and hoping. Scent the volume that is genuinely open to itself, then give the closed rooms their own quiet answer, usually a reed diffuser. Fragrance never substitutes for ventilation or cleaning. If a room smells damp, stale or of last night's cooking, open it, air it and clean it first; scent added on top of that only makes a more complicated bad smell. A home is not a lobby you pass through. Households include children, elderly parents, pregnant family members and pets, all of whom breathe this air far longer than any visitor does, which is why gentle dosing is the default at home and why the settings we suggest are lower than the machine can run. Anyone in the house reporting a headache is a recalibration signal, not a complaint to argue with - turn it down or turn it off, and tell us. The Vaayu runs waterless nebulising oil and comes with the four hotel-inspired blends; the Hotel Collection bottle is water-based and belongs in the ultrasonic machines only. The two formats are not interchangeable. SOSA blends are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. ISIPCA Versailles
A note from Sonal
There is a difference between a room that smells nice and a home that has a signature, and almost nobody is told what it is. A room that smells nice is an event: you light a candle, you spray something in the hallway before people arrive, it is lovely for forty minutes and then it is gone. Somewhere else in the house a bathroom gel is doing one thing, a kitchen spray another, and a bedroom reed a third. Four pleasant smells in four rooms is not a fragranced home. It is four rooms.
A signature is the opposite. It is one scent, sized to the house, running on a schedule - so it is already in the air when someone walks through your front door, and already there at eleven at night when you come home yourself, and nobody has lifted a finger to make it happen. That is the whole trick the great hotels use, and it is not complicated: they do not chase smells room by room, they hold one fragrance across the volume people actually move through. In a villa that usually means the entrance, the living room and the dining as one connected space, with the closed rooms handled separately and quietly.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and I have sized this for houses across India, and I would rather tell you honestly that your layout needs two answers than sell you one machine that disappoints you. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 with your home's approximate size, the number of floors and a line about the layout - open plan, closed rooms, central air-conditioning or split units - and we will give you a free sizing recommendation. I read those descriptions myself. Everything is made in India, cruelty-free and vegan, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Your home gets a memory; a girl gets a classroom.
Frequently asked questions
My 3,000 sq ft villa is broken into a lot of small rooms. Is it still suitable?
It is suitable for the part that shares air, and less useful the more your ground floor is divided, which is worth being honest about before you spend Rs 11,999. Walk from your front door to the dining table and count the doors you have to open. If the answer is none, you have a genuine connected volume and one Vaayu will hold it beautifully. If the answer is two or three, you have several small volumes rather than one, and the machine will do the room it stands in properly and thin out beyond each doorway. In that case the sensible pattern is a machine in the largest connected run including the entrance, a reed from Rs 749 in each separate room, or - if the house has central air-conditioning - the ducted Aangan at Rs 25,999, which distributes through the ductwork the house already has and does not care about doors.
Would two machines be better than one at 3,000 sq ft?
Almost never, and the reason is that a second machine does not solve the problem people buy it for. If the second unit goes into the same connected volume, you now have two sources holding one space that one was already holding comfortably, and the usual result is a floor that is too strong rather than more even. If it goes behind a closed door to fix a bedroom, you have spent Rs 11,999 on a room that a Rs 749 reed answers better, because nothing hums beside a sleeping person. A second machine only earns its place when there is a second genuinely separate connected volume - a sealed upper floor with its own sitting area, or an annexe - and even then, in a large house with central air-conditioning, the ducted Aangan at Rs 25,999 is usually the better and cheaper decision than two of anything.
My ceilings are 12 ft, not 10. Does the answer change?
It changes the arithmetic and not the recommendation. Volume is floor area multiplied by height, so add twenty per cent for every extra two feet: 2,000 sq ft at 12 ft is 24,000 cubic feet, about 680 cubic metres; 2,500 sq ft at 12 ft is 30,000 cubic feet, about 850; 3,000 sq ft at 12 ft is 36,000 cubic feet, about 1,020, which is the one whole-plan figure in this band that goes past the Vaayu's approximately 1000 cubic metres. But whole-plan is not what you scent. Even at 12 ft, a connected run of 1,200 sq ft is 14,400 cubic feet, about 408 cubic metres, still comfortably inside one machine. Where height genuinely matters is placement: put the unit low and let convection carry the register up, rather than trying to push fragrance into a tall volume from above.
The house is two floors totalling 2,500 sq ft. Same answer?
Same machine, different placement. A stair void behaves like a chimney: warm air rises through it, so a unit placed low in the connected ground-floor volume near the base of the stairs carries its register up to the landing on its own, and what arrives upstairs is gentler than what is downstairs, which is usually welcome rather than a problem. Add the landing to your connected figure at its real floor area, because it is genuinely shared air - 150 sq ft of landing at a 10 ft ceiling is 1,500 cubic feet, about 42 cubic metres. What will not happen is scent getting under a closed bedroom door on that landing, so upstairs bedrooms and the guest bathroom still take a reed from Rs 749 each. One machine downstairs plus reeds upstairs is the pattern most two-floor houses of this size run.
Someone at home is sensitive to fragrance. Is it still suitable?
That is a household question rather than a sizing one, and our answer is genuinely cautious. We make no health, therapeutic or air-purifying claims for any of this, scent perception varies enormously between people in the same room, and a home is not a space anyone passes through for a few minutes - your family breathes it for hours. If someone in the house is sensitive, start by not scenting their rooms at all, run the connected volume at the lowest setting that survives someone walking in from outside, keep the house well ventilated as a matter of routine, and treat any report of a headache or irritation as a signal to turn it down or off rather than something to argue about. If the sensitivity is significant, the honest recommendation is to skip ambient scenting altogether and use a reed only in rooms that person does not use.

Format distinction: the Vaayu and the HVAC systems run waterless nebulising oil, while the separate SOSA Hotel Collection fragrance (15ml ₹299) is water-based and runs in the ultrasonic machines only - Boond (₹899), Sukoon (₹1,899) and Megh (₹3,499). The two fragrance formats are not interchangeable, and the Hotel Collection bottle does not go into a Vaayu. SOSA Aangan (₹25,999) and SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) are HVAC nebulising systems for approximately 8,000-10,000 sq ft and 12,000-18,000 sq ft respectively, ducted into central air-conditioning. Reed diffusers need no power and make no noise: Morning Freshness ₹749, Garden Bloom ₹799, Evening Calm ₹799, Mountain Breeze ₹849, Fresh Brew ₹849; 130ml from ₹1,249; duo sets ₹1,498, ₹1,548 and ₹1,598. Scent perception is personal and varies between people in the same room, and coverage figures assume connected air volume rather than a partitioned floor plan. Ventilation, cleaning and air-conditioning come first; fragrance is an addition to a well-kept home and never a substitute for any of them. SOSA blends are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any hotel brand. Made in India, cruelty-free and vegan. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Ongoing fragrance supply is arranged with SOSA on WhatsApp: +91 96192 18531.
