Tier two · The Long-Run Reed Kit, ₹6,545. Five 130ml bottles: ₹1,349 + ₹1,349 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,249 = ₹6,545.
Tier three · The Hybrid Kit, ₹8,444. Tier two plus a Sukoon: ₹6,545 + ₹1,899 = ₹8,444.
Tier four · The Vaayu-Led Setup, ₹18,544. Tier two plus a Vaayu: ₹6,545 + ₹11,999 = ₹18,544. A leaner three-reed version is ₹11,999 + ₹3,847 = ₹15,846. The machine ships with 400ml and no separate refill oil is sold today.
2. Tier two — The Long-Run Reed Kit, ₹6,545. Five 130ml bottles, one per space whose door closes or whose corner is its own: Fresh Brew ₹1,349, Mountain Breeze ₹1,349, Garden Bloom ₹1,299, Evening Calm ₹1,299, Morning Freshness ₹1,249. ₹1,349 + ₹1,349 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,249 = ₹6,545.
3. Tier three — The Hybrid Kit, ₹8,444. Everything in tier two plus one Sukoon at ₹1,899 for the connected living-dining, giving you scent on demand in the one room where that matters. ₹6,545 + ₹1,899 = ₹8,444. This is where most large Indian homes should stop.
4. Tier four — The Vaayu-Led Setup, ₹18,544. Everything in tier two plus a Vaayu at ₹11,999 for a connected volume approaching 1000m³. ₹6,545 + ₹11,999 = ₹18,544. A leaner version with three reeds behind doors is ₹1,299 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,249 = ₹3,847, so ₹11,999 + ₹3,847 = ₹15,846.
5. Budget the second year as well as the first. On oil-only refills, one position costs ₹3,499 ÷ 16 months × 12 = ₹2,624 a year. Five positions is ₹13,120 a year. That figure belongs in the plan on day one, not in month fifteen.
6. The caveat attached to tier four. The Vaayu ships with four 100ml cold-air fragrances — 400ml, exactly one tank, specified at 90+ days per fill — and SOSA does not currently sell a separate Vaayu refill oil. The water-based Hotel Collection is a different product for ultrasonic machines and is never a Vaayu refill. Budget tier four knowing that, and ask SOSA where refill availability stands before you order.
Our reed fragrances are composed and handmade in small batches in Pune, the Vaayu is made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Part one — three things to settle before a budget can exist
A budget is a consequence of three measurements, and every one of them is free. People skip them and then ask a price question that has no answer, because "large home" describes a floor area while scenting is a problem of connected air, closed doors and moving windows. Fifteen minutes with a tape measure will move your budget by thousands of rupees in one direction or the other, and it is the only part of this page I would insist on.
Morning Freshness₹749 · bathroomsThis is the number that sets the size of every kit above, because a closed door is a wall and the space behind it receives nothing from anywhere else. Count bedrooms, bathrooms, the study, the utility and the guest room, and that is how many small sources you need — no machine at any price substitutes for them. It is also the cheapest part of the budget: a 130ml bottle at ₹1,249–₹1,349 sits behind a door for 14 to 18 weeks with no electricity, nothing to switch on and nothing to spill. In tier two that count is five. In a bigger house it might be nine, and the kit simply grows by ₹1,299 a time.Part two — the four tiers, itemised and totalled
Four kits, each a single order, each with its arithmetic on the page. Read the last column before the price column.
| Tier | The named kit, itemised | Total, as arithmetic | What it covers | What it will not do |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Two · The Long-Run Reed Kit ★ | 5 × 130ml: Brew ₹1,349 · Mountain ₹1,349 · Bloom ₹1,299 · Calm ₹1,299 · Morning ₹1,249 | ₹1,349 + ₹1,349 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,249 = ₹6,545 | Five rooms, 14–18 weeks each, no electricity anywhere | Cannot be turned up, down or off; will not fill an open floor above ~300 sq ft |
| One · The Two-Point Start | Fresh & Grounded duo 2 × 50ml ₹1,548 + Garden Bloom 50ml ₹799 | ₹1,548 + ₹799 = ₹2,347 | Two ends of a living-dining and the entrance, 6–8 weeks | Leaves bedrooms and bathrooms unscented; rebuying 50ml is the dearest way to run |
| Three · The Hybrid Kit | Tier two ₹6,545 + one Sukoon ₹1,899 | ₹6,545 + ₹1,899 = ₹8,444 | Five rooms constantly, plus 270–320 sq ft on demand with timers | Adds humidity; still will not carry a 1,400 sq ft open floor |
| Four · The Vaayu-Led Setup | Tier two ₹6,545 + one Vaayu ₹11,999 | ₹6,545 + ₹11,999 = ₹18,544 | Up to 1000m³ of connected volume, scheduled and key-locked, plus five closed rooms | Ships with 400ml and no refill oil is sold today; does not climb stairs |
| Four (lean) · machine plus three doors | Vaayu ₹11,999 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,249 = ₹3,847 of reeds | ₹11,999 + ₹3,847 = ₹15,846 | The same connected volume, three closed rooms | Two doors still unscented — add ₹1,299 each |
| Not a tier: the big-tank shortcut | Megh 6L ₹3,499 | ₹3,499 | About 100 hours of runtime from one fill | ~215 sq ft — less than the ₹1,899 Sukoon. Runtime and humidity, never coverage |
| The honest caveat: tier four carries a condition the other three do not. SOSA does not currently sell a separate Vaayu refill oil — the four 100ml cold-air fragrances in the box are 400ml, exactly one full tank, specified at 90+ days per fill, and that is the whole supply available today. The water-based Hotel Collection (15ml ₹299 · 100ml ₹999 · 300ml ₹1,799) is a different product for ultrasonic machines, shares scent names with the cold-air oils, and must never be used in a Vaayu. If you need supply beyond that first fill, ask SOSA where things stand before you budget for tier four. | ||||

Part three — the second budget, the one nobody writes down
Here is the arithmetic that changes people's tier choice more often than the purchase price does. A reed position rebought as fresh bottles is the most expensive way to run a house. A 50ml lasts six to eight weeks, so at a seven-week midpoint that is 52 ÷ 7 ≈ 7 bottles a year — about ₹5,593 at ₹799 each, for one position. A 130ml lasts 14 to 18 weeks, so 52 ÷ 16 = 3.25 bottles a year, roughly ₹4,222 at ₹1,299. And on oil-only refills, where you keep the glass vessel you already own, a 500ml at ₹3,499 runs a position for 14 to 18 months: ₹3,499 ÷ 16 × 12 = ₹2,624 a year. Three ways to run one bottle, and the gap between the dearest and the cheapest is more than twice.
Applied to the tiers: tier one's three 50ml positions rebought as bottles is roughly ₹16,779 a year, which is more than tier four costs to buy. Tier two's five positions on 500ml refills is ₹2,624 × 5 = ₹13,120 a year. Tier three adds the water-based Hotel Collection for the Sukoon, priced at ₹1,799 ÷ 300 = ₹6.00 per millilitre on the largest bottle against ₹19.93 on the 15ml — how many millilitres a household gets through is a matter of how hard you run it and how often, and I am not going to invent a figure for your usage. Tier four adds the Vaayu's electricity, which is knowable: 5W run continuously is 0.12 units a day and 43.8 units a year, roughly ₹350 at an illustrative ₹8 per unit, with state tariffs varying and no bill being quoted.
And tier four's fragrance line has no figure at all, which I want to state here rather than bury in a footnote. The machine arrives with 400ml — one full tank, specified at 90+ days — and SOSA does not currently sell a separate Vaayu refill oil. So when you budget tier four, budget it as ₹18,544 for the setup and one quarter of fragrance, and then a supply question to ask us directly. For a buyer scenting a defined stretch — a wedding season, three months of guests, a house occupied part of the year — that may be exactly right. For a buyer who wants a signature scent running continuously for two years, it is a genuine reason to wait until you have an answer. Both of those readers deserve to know before they spend, not after.
Part four — what to add, and in what order
Once a tier is chosen, these are the additions worth making, ranked by how much difference each makes per rupee. The first two are free.
| Add this | Why | Which tier it belongs to | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Placement and the weekly flip ★ | Passing air near a doorway, waist to chest height, off vents and out of sun; all six reeds flipped weekly | Every tier, before any purchase | Free |
| 2. Two more reeds in a big room | Reed count is the only true volume control — and it shortens the bottle roughly in proportion | Tiers one and two | Free, costs bottle life |
| 3. A second bottle rather than a bigger one | Output per bottle is fixed; two 50ml at opposite ends beat one 130ml in the middle | Tier one → tier two | From ₹749 |
| 4. Move from 50ml to 130ml | ₹1,299 ÷ 130 = ₹9.99 per ml against ₹799 ÷ 50 = ₹15.98, and three bottle changes a year instead of seven | Tier one → tier two | ₹1,249–₹1,349 |
| 5. Oil-only refills | ₹3,499 ÷ 500 = ₹7.00 per ml; the moment you run three or more positions | Tiers two, three and four | ₹2,399 · ₹3,499 |
| 6. A Sukoon for the room you host in | Scent on demand, remote, steady/2H/4H timers, three 15ml fragrances in the box | Tier two → tier three | ₹1,899 |
| 7. A Boond for a snug or a landing | ~150 sq ft, 300ml, about 6 hrs a fill, USB — the cheapest machine we make | Anywhere with a socket and a small room | ₹899 |
| 8. A Vaayu — only above ~2,000 sq ft connected | Up to 1000m³ of dry, undiluted cold-air mist, scheduled and key-locked | Tier four, with the refill question asked first | ₹11,999 |
| Do not add for reach: Megh | 6L and ~100 hrs, but ~215 sq ft — less than the Sukoon. Runtime and humidity only | A dry winter, not a big room | ₹3,499 |
Versailles
I have avoided writing this page for two years, because publishing four totals invites the objection that every house is different. Every house is different. What every house shares is that the person buying has no idea whether the correct answer is two thousand rupees or twenty thousand, and leaving them to guess is not neutrality, it is unhelpfulness dressed up as caution. So the tiers are here, with their sums shown, and you can move them by a bottle in either direction.
If I had to guess where a reader of this page belongs, I would say tier two or three, and I would say it about four homes in five. Five 130ml bottles at ₹6,545, one behind every door that closes, plus a Sukoon at ₹1,899 in the room you actually host in — that is a very well-scented large house, and the money left over is considerable. Tier four earns its place when the connected volume genuinely approaches what it is built for, and not before.
The last thing, said here as it is said on every page in this cluster: we do not currently sell a separate refill oil for the Vaayu. The 400ml in the box is the supply that exists today. If your plan depends on running one scent continuously for years, ask us where we stand before you budget for tier four rather than afterwards. Everything we compose is handmade in small batches in Pune, the Vaayu is made in India, and a portion of every order funds a girl's classroom through Nanhi Kali.

The cold-air oil supplied with the Vaayu is a different product from the water-based Hotel Collection sold for ultrasonic machines (15ml ₹299 · 100ml ₹999 · 300ml ₹1,799), which must not be used in a Vaayu despite sharing scent names.
