Why is BHK a useful measure here? Because it counts bedrooms, and bedrooms mean doors. Closed doors are exactly what decides how many passive sources a home needs, so BHK predicts the bottle count better than square footage does.
Does BHK tell you which machine to buy? No. The machine depends on the size and openness of the living area, which two homes with the same BHK can differ on enormously.
BHK is a door count, and doors are what matter
There is a reason BHK works better than square footage for this particular question, and it is worth stating because it changes how the whole answer is structured. Square footage is a measure of floor. Fragrance does not care about floor; it moves through connected air and stops dead at closed doors. So the number that actually predicts what a home needs is the number of separate volumes it contains, and BHK is a rough but genuinely useful proxy for exactly that. A 2BHK means two bedrooms, hall and kitchen. In practice that means at least four closed doors - two bedrooms, two bathrooms - plus a kitchen that gets nothing at any time because cooking smell is aerosolised oil requiring extraction rather than competition. Every one of those closed rooms is a separate volume that no machine reaches at any price. That gives us a precise answer to one half of the question. A 2BHK needs four or five passive sources: one reed diffuser in each bathroom, one in each bedroom, and one just inside the entrance. That number holds whether the flat is 600 square feet or 1,200, because the door count is the same. It is a genuinely useful thing to know before shopping, and it is why we would rather somebody told us their BHK than their square footage when asking about bottles. Bathrooms are the best value in the whole category, being small enough that one source distributes evenly and being the room visitors actually notice. Bedrooms take the lightest level in the home, because dwell time there is long, everybody adapts within an hour, and the occupant cannot leave the room - so the source should be something they can move, cap or take out without asking anybody. The entrance is the single highest-value position in the flat, because everybody who lives there has adapted to it and perceives very little, which makes walking in from outside the only moment anybody experiences the home properly, several times a day. What BHK tells us almost nothing about is the machine, and this is where the label breaks down. Two flats both described as 2BHK can have completely different living spaces. One might have a compact hall barely bigger than a bedroom. Another might have a large open living-dining that runs the width of the flat and opens onto a balcony. The first needs no machine at all; the second might genuinely benefit from one. So the machine question has to be answered separately, by looking at the actual connected living space rather than the label on the listing. For most 2BHKs the honest answer is that another reed in the living area finishes the flat, and the whole home is done for a few thousand rupees with nothing to switch on, fill or remember, and with nothing that can drift upward because there is no setting to raise. The case for a machine is narrow and specific: you want the level to change with time - quieter at three in the afternoon, present at seven in the evening when somebody walks in from outside with an unadapted nose - or you host often enough that building a level before guests arrive matters. That capability is real and it is the only thing a reed cannot do. Where it applies, the Sukoon at Rs 1,799 is the right unit for a 2BHK living area, and the Megh at Rs 3,499 with its 6L tank suits a larger connected living-dining, remembering that a tank is refilled every few days and rinsed between scents and is the small job that quietly stops being done. The Vaayu at Rs 11,999 is rated for up to 1,000 square metres of connected air, which is roughly 10,700 square feet, and it is simply not a 2BHK product at any square footage. Two things that matter more than any of this in a flat. Extraction over the hob used every single time, with whatever door exists closed, because in a compact plan the kitchen may be a few metres from the sofa and cooking smell settles into the soft furnishings of the living area within seconds. And a mug of water down the drains of any bathroom not used daily, since a dried trap connects the room directly to the drainage system and is the commonest bad smell in a flat.
What 2BHK tells us, and what it does not
What 2BHK tells us, and what it does not. The part the label answers precisely, four or five bottles regardless of square footage: a reed diffuser in each bathroom, the best value anywhere in home fragrance; one in each bedroom at the lightest level in the home, from a source the occupant can move, cap or take out of the room without asking anybody; and one just inside the entrance, the highest-value position in the flat - Morning Freshness at Rs 749, Garden Bloom at Rs 799, Evening Calm at Rs 799, Fresh Brew at Rs 849, Mountain Breeze at Rs 849, three to four months per bottle, refills at Rs 2,399 for 300ml and Rs 3,499 for 500ml, or the SOSA Boond at Rs 799 at the door. The part answered separately, by looking at the living area rather than the label: for most 2BHKs, another reed and no machine at all, which finishes the flat with nothing to switch on, fill or remember and nothing that can drift upward. Where you want the level to build before you come home, or you host often: the SOSA Sukoon at Rs 1,799, or the SOSA Megh at Rs 3,499 with a 6L tank for a larger open living-dining, remembering that a tank is refilled every few days and rinsed between scents. Not a 2BHK product at any square footage: the SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999, rated for up to 1,000 m² of connected air, roughly 10,700 square feet. Fragrance for machines: Hotel Collection at Rs 299 for 15ml, Rs 999 for 100ml and Rs 1,799 for 300ml, at three to six drops per tank, rinsing between scents. This is a water-based fragrance for ultrasonic diffusers and is not reed diffuser oil; the two are not interchangeable and reed oil can damage a diffuser. Mattering more than any of it in a flat: extraction over the hob used every single time with whatever door exists closed, since the kitchen may be a few metres from the sofa, and a mug of water down the drains of any bathroom not used daily. Never scented: the kitchen at any time, the dining area during a meal, children's rooms, and covered balconies, which cannot hold fragrance. Everything is alcohol-free and made to IFRA-compliant standards.
| Scent | Why it suits the mood |
|---|---|
| Bottle count · from ₹749 | Four or five. Precisely predicted by BHK, at any size |
| Bathrooms · from ₹749 | Best value in the category. Behind doors nothing else reaches |
| Machine | Not predicted at all. Depends on your actual living area |
| Not this · ₹11,999 | Rated to roughly 10,700 sq ft. Not a 2BHK product |
Whether you need a machine at all is in the whole-home chapter, large 2BHKs are in the large 2BHK chapter, and the count is in the diffuser count chapter. Everything gathers in the BHK guide.

Versailles
Most customer gifts are bought to be handed over, not to be kept: the sweet box is finished by the family that evening, the keychain joins a drawer, the branded pen was never really a gift at all. Then the moment that cost your business lakhs to create - the new car, the new home, the big purchase - is remembered with nothing. A fragrance gift keeps that moment alive, because scent is the sense wired closest to memory: months later, your customer is still in the middle of the experience you gave them.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and everything we make is built for Indian lives - car diffusers that survive a Mumbai summer, reed diffusers that hold through the monsoon, alcohol-free formulas safe to gift across every customer profile. If you run a dealership, a project, a hotel, a showroom or a team, message the bulk desk on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 - tell me the customer moment and the volumes, and I will help you design the programme myself. The business conversations are my favourite kind: one good gifting programme teaches me more about a category than a year of retail orders.
And a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali - so your customer gift quietly gives twice. That equation has always felt right to me.
Frequently asked questions
Facts verified August 2026: Olfactory memory research shows scent-linked memories are unusually durable and emotionally vivid, which is why a used-daily fragrance gift sustains brand association in a way consumable or novelty gifts do not; customer-experience research consistently finds that peak moments (delivery, possession, checkout) disproportionately shape how the whole purchase is remembered. Fragrance preference is personal: volume gifting programmes should default to gentle fresh, green and lightly floral registers, and to space formats (diffusers, reeds, car fragrance) rather than skin perfume. SOSA range: Hotel Collection ultrasonic fragrance from Rs 299; car perfumes from Rs 449 (spray and hanging, alcohol-free); attars Nawaab, Ameeri, Mastani and Adaa from Rs 379 (3ml/6ml/12ml, alcohol-free); Attar Trio from Rs 1,055; perfumes from Rs 499; reed diffusers from Rs 749; Boond Rs 799, Sukoon Rs 1,799 and Megh Rs 3,499 ultrasonic diffusers; SOSA Safar waterless car and travel diffuser Rs 3,999 (rechargeable, three hotel-inspired scents included); SOSA Vaayu waterless scent machine Rs 11,999 (~1000m³, app + timer).
