Three questions, and the first one is not about equipment at all. It is a census.
Quick answers — read this first
Which SOSA system suits a 4BHK, 5BHK or 6BHK? Eight to sixteen reed diffusers for the rooms behind doors, plus one machine for the connected living space and a second only if there is a genuinely occupied second living volume.

What is the first question? The occupancy census: how many bedrooms are actually slept in on an ordinary weeknight. Unused rooms need drain traps and airing rather than fragrance.

Does a higher BHK need a bigger machine? No. Bedrooms are sealed rooms, so BHK changes the bottle count and not the machine. The connected living space decides the machine at every BHK.
The short answer
Short answer: Census first, then living volumes, then closed doors. Eight to sixteen bottles and one or two machines.
The pick: the SOSA Safar (₹3,999) as the flagship delivery gift; volume gifts from ₹299; reed diffusers from ₹749; the Vaayu (₹11,999) for your own premises.
Planning volumes? WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 - tell us the customer moment, per-unit band and quantity and we will quote and build the programme.
Customer gifting that compounds - the SOSA method at a glanceStep 1 - gift the moment: delivery day, possession, checkout, milestone purchaseStep 2 - set the per-unit band: ₹299 to ₹3,999 by customer valueStep 3 - brand the gesture: your card, your story, our fragranceStep 4 - pilot small, then scale to 50, 100, 500 unitsWhatsApp the bulk desk for volume pricing
A customer gift works when it survives the drive home - sweets vanish in a day and keychains join a drawer, but a fragrance is used daily in the customer's own car or living room, replaying your brand at every use. The method: gift the milestone moment, set the per-unit band by customer value, brand the gesture with your card, pilot and scale. This guide walks the exact play, with real SOSA options at every band.
Straight answer
Which SOSA scenting system is best for a 4BHK, 5BHK or 6BHK?
Three questions, and the first is not about equipment. One: how many bedrooms are actually slept in on an ordinary weeknight? Do the census. Occupied rooms take the lightest register in the home from a source the occupant can move or cap. Unoccupied rooms need a mug of water down every drain and hours of airing, not fragrance - a dried trap connects the room to the drainage system and is the commonest bad smell in a large house. Two: how many living volumes do people genuinely sit in? One machine each, and the ceiling is two. A bedroom wing is a corridor of closed doors, not a volume. A landing is somewhere people walk through - one reed from ₹749. Three: how many closed doors on the ground floor at an ordinary hour? Zero qualifies the Vaayu at ₹11,999; one means partly open and a Megh at ₹3,499; two or more means compartmented and no machine qualifies at 4BHK, 5BHK or 6BHK. In a flat the answer is a hall unit - a Sukoon at ₹1,799 - or none. Bottles: eight to ten at 4BHK, ten to fourteen at 5BHK, twelve to sixteen at 6BHK. And at 6BHK, shared spaces run at the lowest level anybody would still choose. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
Quick answer: census, then living volumes, then closed doors. Eight to sixteen bottles and one or two machines.
The gift most business readers of this guide pilot first: the SOSA Safar - rechargeable waterless car diffuser, three hotel-inspired scents in the box, used by the customer every single day - at ₹3,999 per unit. Volume gifts from ₹299; reeds from ₹749. Or WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 for a bulk quote.

Three questions, and the first is not about the machine

This is a selector for the large-BHK range, and the three questions are ordered so that the first one changes what you buy more than the other two combined. Question one is the occupancy census, and it is not about equipment at all. Walk the house on an ordinary weeknight - not a festival, not a weekend when relatives are visiting - and count the bedrooms somebody actually sleeps in. In most 5BHKs the honest answer is three; in most 6BHKs it is four. That number matters because occupied and unoccupied rooms need completely different things. An occupied bedroom takes the lightest register in the home, from a source the occupant can move, cap or take out of the room without asking anybody, since dwell time is long, everybody adapts within about an hour and perceives almost nothing thereafter, and a room somebody cannot leave should never impose a register they did not choose. An unoccupied bedroom does not have a fragrance problem at all. It has a dried drain trap in the attached bathroom, where the water seal evaporates within weeks and connects the room directly to the drainage system - the commonest bad smell in any large house - and it has still air, where the mattress, wardrobe and curtains equilibrate with whatever the room has been holding. The fix is a mug of water down every drain including the floor drain, and hours of airing with the internal door and wardrobes open. Only after that does a quiet reed have anything useful to do in there. Getting this wrong is the most expensive mistake in a large-BHK home, because it leads people to buy coverage for rooms that need plumbing attention. Question two counts living volumes, and the qualifying word is sit. How many bodies of connected air do people genuinely occupy? In most homes the answer is one: the hall in a flat, or the ground plane in a villa. Sometimes it is two, where an upper floor has a family area or lounge people actually use. It is almost never three. Two things that look like volumes and are not: a bedroom wing, which is a corridor with closed doors off it, where a machine scents a narrow passage nobody sits in while every room stays sealed; and a landing, which is somewhere people walk through and which a single reed covers adequately. This is why the machine count barely moves from 1BHK to 6BHK while the bottle count climbs the whole way - bedrooms are added as sealed volumes, not as more of the space a machine serves. Question three decides which machine, and it is architectural. Walk the ground floor at an ordinary hour, changing nothing, and count the closed doors between the living area, the dining area, the passage and the foot of the stairs. Zero closed doors means one large connected volume, which is what qualifies the Vaayu at Rs 11,999 - and what you are buying there is one device instead of six or eight, waterless operation with nothing to fill or empty, and a saved schedule, rather than the coverage rating, most of which will never be used. One closed door usually means a partly open plan and a Megh at Rs 3,499 with its 6L tank. Two or more means the home is compartmented, and a compartmented home does not qualify at 4BHK, 5BHK or 6BHK, because a closed door is a hard boundary regardless of how many bedrooms sit behind it. In a flat of any BHK the answer is a hall unit at most - a Sukoon at Rs 1,799 - and often none at all. Then the bottles, which are the majority of the setup at every size in this range: eight to ten at 4BHK, ten to fourteen at 5BHK, twelve to sixteen at 6BHK. One per bathroom, one per bedroom, one in a study, and one just inside the entrance, which is the highest-value single position in any house because arrival is the only moment anybody perceives their own home. Two standing rules for the top of this range. At 6BHK the household is usually several generations, so shared spaces should run at the lowest level anybody in the house would still choose, and private rooms should be autonomous, with each occupant selecting their own register or none. And from 4BHK upward, name one person responsible for restocking and set one quarterly date on which every bottle is replaced and every machine topped up together, or the house drifts into a patchwork within months without anybody noticing.

Why this works
The three questions
1 How many bedrooms are actually slept in on a weeknight? 2 How many living volumes do people genuinely sit in? 3 How many closed doors on the ground floor at an ordinary hour? 4 Answers: the bottles, the machine count, and which machine
The flagship delivery gift: the SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 - a rechargeable waterless car diffuser with three hotel-inspired scents in the box. Per-unit gifts from ₹299; volume pricing on WhatsApp.
01
Census before equipment
How many beds are actually slept in?
Three in most 5BHKs, four in most 6BHKs. Occupied rooms take a light movable source; unoccupied ones need a mug of water down every drain and hours of airing before any fragrance.
Tip: The most expensive mistake in this range starts here.
02
Count volumes people sit in
A wing is a corridor. A landing is a walkway
Usually one, sometimes two, almost never three. This is why the machine count barely moves from 1BHK to 6BHK while the bottle count climbs the entire way.
03
Then the closed-door walk
Which decides the machine, not the BHK
Zero doors qualifies the largest machine, two or more disqualifies it at any BHK. And at 6BHK, shared air runs at the lowest level anybody in the house would still choose.
Tip: One person restocks, on one quarterly date.
The SOSA principle
The first question in a large home is not which machine. It is how many of those beds anybody sleeps in.
Census, volumes, doors. In that order.

The large BHK selector

The large BHK selector. Question one, the census, walked on an ordinary weeknight: occupied bedrooms take a reed diffuser each at the lightest level in the home, from a source the occupant can move, cap or take out without asking anybody; unoccupied bedrooms get a mug of water down every drain in the attached bathroom including the floor drain, then hours of airing with the internal door and wardrobes open, and only then the quietest reed in the house. Question two, living volumes people genuinely sit in: one machine each, ceiling of two - the SOSA Sukoon at Rs 1,799 for a second, upstairs. Not a bedroom wing, which is a corridor of closed doors, and not a landing, which one reed covers. Question three, closed doors on the ground floor: zero qualifies the SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 - waterless with no tank, coverage up to 1,000 m², Bluetooth app and timer control; one means a partly open plan and the SOSA Megh at Rs 3,499 with a 6L tank; two or more means compartmented, where no machine qualifies at 4BHK, 5BHK or 6BHK. In a flat of any BHK: a hall unit at most, and often none. The bottles, the majority of the setup at every size here: eight to ten at 4BHK, ten to fourteen at 5BHK, twelve to sixteen at 6BHK - one per bathroom, one per bedroom, one in a study, one just inside the entrance - Morning Freshness at Rs 749, Garden Bloom at Rs 799, Evening Calm at Rs 799, Fresh Brew at Rs 849, Mountain Breeze at Rs 849, three to four months per bottle, refills at Rs 2,399 for 300ml and Rs 3,499 for 500ml, or the SOSA Boond at Rs 799 at the door. At 6BHK: shared spaces at the lowest level anybody in the house would still choose, and private rooms autonomous, each occupant choosing their own register or none. From 4BHK upward: one named person responsible for restocking, and one quarterly date on which every bottle is replaced and every machine topped up together. Fragrance for machines: Hotel Collection at Rs 299 for 15ml, Rs 999 for 100ml and Rs 1,799 for 300ml, at three to six drops per tank, rinsing between scents; it is not reed diffuser oil. Never scented: children's rooms, the kitchen at any time, the dining area during a meal, staff quarters, and covered terraces and balconies. Everything is alcohol-free and made to IFRA-compliant standards.

The SOSA business gifting edit

Whatever your business gifts, the logic is the same: gift the milestone moment, set the per-unit band by customer value, keep the register gentle and crowd-safe, and brand the gesture with your card rather than your logo on the product. Every SOSA fragrance is alcohol-free and made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali - so every customer gift quietly gives twice. Here is the full business range by per-unit band.

Honest notes for business gifters: customer taste varies, so volume programmes should run gentle, crowd-tested registers - fresh, clean and lightly floral scents are received well across every profile, and space formats (diffusers, reeds, car fragrance) avoid the personal-taste risk of skin perfume entirely. Listed prices are per-unit store prices; volume pricing, pilot batches, branded cards and custom hamper builds are quoted on WhatsApp - and signature-scent development for your brand is a consultation with our perfumer, not an off-the-shelf item, so timelines are discussed case by case. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with any hotel brand. Ultrasonic diffusers use the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance; reed diffusers use their own alcohol-free reed oil - the two are not interchangeable. All personal fragrances are alcohol-free and IFRA-compliant. WhatsApp bulk desk: +91 96192 18531. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

A note from Sonal

Most customer gifts are bought to be handed over, not to be kept: the sweet box is finished by the family that evening, the keychain joins a drawer, the branded pen was never really a gift at all. Then the moment that cost your business lakhs to create - the new car, the new home, the big purchase - is remembered with nothing. A fragrance gift keeps that moment alive, because scent is the sense wired closest to memory: months later, your customer is still in the middle of the experience you gave them.

I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and everything we make is built for Indian lives - car diffusers that survive a Mumbai summer, reed diffusers that hold through the monsoon, alcohol-free formulas safe to gift across every customer profile. If you run a dealership, a project, a hotel, a showroom or a team, message the bulk desk on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 - tell me the customer moment and the volumes, and I will help you design the programme myself. The business conversations are my favourite kind: one good gifting programme teaches me more about a category than a year of retail orders.

And a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali - so your customer gift quietly gives twice. That equation has always felt right to me.

Frequently asked questions

Which system suits a 4BHK, 5BHK or 6BHK?
Eight to sixteen reeds for the rooms behind doors, plus one machine for the connected living space and a second only if there is a genuinely occupied second living volume.
What is the first question?
The occupancy census. Count the bedrooms actually slept in on an ordinary weeknight, because unused rooms need drain traps topped up and airing rather than fragrance.
Does a higher BHK need a bigger machine?
No. Bedrooms are sealed rooms, so BHK changes the bottle count and not the machine. The connected living space decides the machine at every BHK.
What changes at 6BHK?
The household is usually several generations, so shared spaces run at the lowest level anybody would still choose and private rooms stay autonomous.
What should I set up from 4BHK upward?
One named person responsible for restocking and one quarterly date on which everything is replaced together. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.

Editorial standards & sources
About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the customer-gifting advice applies whatever your business finally buys.

Facts verified August 2026: Olfactory memory research shows scent-linked memories are unusually durable and emotionally vivid, which is why a used-daily fragrance gift sustains brand association in a way consumable or novelty gifts do not; customer-experience research consistently finds that peak moments (delivery, possession, checkout) disproportionately shape how the whole purchase is remembered. Fragrance preference is personal: volume gifting programmes should default to gentle fresh, green and lightly floral registers, and to space formats (diffusers, reeds, car fragrance) rather than skin perfume. SOSA range: Hotel Collection ultrasonic fragrance from Rs 299; car perfumes from Rs 449 (spray and hanging, alcohol-free); attars Nawaab, Ameeri, Mastani and Adaa from Rs 379 (3ml/6ml/12ml, alcohol-free); Attar Trio from Rs 1,055; perfumes from Rs 499; reed diffusers from Rs 749; Boond Rs 799, Sukoon Rs 1,799 and Megh Rs 3,499 ultrasonic diffusers; SOSA Safar waterless car and travel diffuser Rs 3,999 (rechargeable, three hotel-inspired scents included); SOSA Vaayu waterless scent machine Rs 11,999 (~1000m³, app + timer).
