Why is size the wrong question? Because a machine serves connected air rather than floor area, and in most homes the majority of the floor area sits behind closed doors it can never reach.
What is the fastest way to an answer? Walk the home at a normal hour, count the closed internal doors, and describe the one connected space that is left. That is a single WhatsApp message.
It is not a size question, which is why it keeps going wrong
This is the most-asked question in the category and it has a good answer, but the answer starts by replacing the question, because size is not what decides it and asking in those terms is what leads people to the wrong product. Here is the replacement. How many internal doors are shut at an ordinary hour? Walk your home at a normal time on a normal day, in the season you actually live in, changing nothing about how the house is currently arranged, and count. In almost every Indian home the answer includes every bedroom, shut for privacy and for air conditioning; every bathroom, shut permanently; and often a study, shut for calls. The kitchen is excluded from the exercise entirely because it should never be scented at any time. Now the important part: every one of those closed rooms is a separate volume that no machine reaches at any price or setting, because a machine distributes fragrance through connected moving air and a closed door is a hard boundary. So each of them takes its own passive source - a reed diffuser at Rs 749 to Rs 849, running three to four months untouched - and that count is your bottle number. It is typically three or four in a compact flat, five to seven in a 2,000 square foot home, and eight to sixteen in a large villa. What is left connected after that subtraction is the only thing a machine ever sizes to, and it is usually much smaller than people expect. In a flat, it is the hall, however many bedrooms surround it, because extra bedrooms were added alongside the living area rather than enlarging it. A Sukoon at Rs 1,799 suits that, or a Megh at Rs 3,499 with its 6L tank for a substantial open living-dining - and for a great many flats the honest answer is no machine at all, with another bottle finishing the home. In a villa where the living area runs into the dining hall with the passage part of the same space and the stairwell opening off it without a door, that is a genuinely large connected volume, and it is the one architecture where a single device replaces six or eight separate sources with one fragrance, one schedule and nothing to fill. That is what qualifies the Vaayu at Rs 11,999. Two or more closed doors between those spaces means the home is compartmented, and a compartmented home does not qualify at 1,500 square feet or at 5,000, because the physics does not change with the size of the building. Now the specific reason asking in terms of size misleads so badly, which is worth knowing because it costs people real money. Coverage figures in this category are quoted in square metres, and Indian homes are discussed in square feet. Those numbers look interchangeable and are not: one thousand square metres is roughly 10,700 square feet. So somebody with a 1,000 square foot flat who sees a machine rated to 1,000 m2 and concludes it matches their home is looking at a device built for a volume about ten times larger. And oversizing here does not behave like oversizing elsewhere. A machine has a minimum output calibrated for the scale it was designed for, so a villa unit in a compact space can exceed the room even at its lowest setting - and nobody in the household will ever detect it, because everybody living in a home adapts to its background within about an hour. Only visitors perceive the true level, in the first few seconds of the door opening, and they never mention it. So the fastest route to a right answer is one message: how many doors are shut, and what does the connected space that remains actually look like. Send us that and we will tell you what to buy, including when the answer is nothing.
The question to ask instead
The question to ask instead. Step one, the doors: walk the home at an ordinary hour in the season you live in, changing nothing, and count the shut internal doors. Every one is a sealed volume needing its own reed diffuser - Morning Freshness at Rs 749, Garden Bloom at Rs 799, Evening Calm at Rs 799, Fresh Brew at Rs 849, Mountain Breeze at Rs 849 - three to four months per bottle, refills at Rs 2,399 for 300ml and Rs 3,499 for 500ml, with bedrooms at the lightest level in the home from a source the occupant can move or cap. Typically three or four bottles in a compact flat, five to seven at 2,000 sq ft, eight to sixteen in a large villa. Plus one just inside the entrance, the highest-value position in any house. Step two, what is left connected: in a flat, usually a hall, taking the SOSA Sukoon at Rs 1,799, or the SOSA Megh at Rs 3,499 with a 6L tank for a substantial open living-dining, or honestly no machine at all with another bottle finishing the home. In a villa with living, dining, passage and stair joined and no doors between them, the SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 - waterless with no tank, coverage up to 1,000 m², Bluetooth app and timer control. Two or more closed doors between those spaces: no machine at any size. The unit warning: coverage is quoted in square metres and 1,000 m² is roughly 10,700 square feet, so matching the numbers buys a machine about ten times too large, and a machine's minimum output may exceed a compact room even at its lowest setting - invisibly, since everybody indoors adapts within about an hour. Fragrance for machines: Hotel Collection at Rs 299 for 15ml, Rs 999 for 100ml and Rs 1,799 for 300ml, at three to six drops per tank, rinsing between scents; it is not reed diffuser oil. Never scented: children's rooms, the kitchen at any time, the dining area during a meal, and covered terraces and balconies. Everything is alcohol-free and made to IFRA-compliant standards.
| Scent | Why it suits the mood |

Versailles
Most customer gifts are bought to be handed over, not to be kept: the sweet box is finished by the family that evening, the keychain joins a drawer, the branded pen was never really a gift at all. Then the moment that cost your business lakhs to create - the new car, the new home, the big purchase - is remembered with nothing. A fragrance gift keeps that moment alive, because scent is the sense wired closest to memory: months later, your customer is still in the middle of the experience you gave them.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and everything we make is built for Indian lives - car diffusers that survive a Mumbai summer, reed diffusers that hold through the monsoon, alcohol-free formulas safe to gift across every customer profile. If you run a dealership, a project, a hotel, a showroom or a team, message the bulk desk on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 - tell me the customer moment and the volumes, and I will help you design the programme myself. The business conversations are my favourite kind: one good gifting programme teaches me more about a category than a year of retail orders.
And a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali - so your customer gift quietly gives twice. That equation has always felt right to me.
Frequently asked questions
Facts verified August 2026: Olfactory memory research shows scent-linked memories are unusually durable and emotionally vivid, which is why a used-daily fragrance gift sustains brand association in a way consumable or novelty gifts do not; customer-experience research consistently finds that peak moments (delivery, possession, checkout) disproportionately shape how the whole purchase is remembered. Fragrance preference is personal: volume gifting programmes should default to gentle fresh, green and lightly floral registers, and to space formats (diffusers, reeds, car fragrance) rather than skin perfume. SOSA range: Hotel Collection ultrasonic fragrance from Rs 299; car perfumes from Rs 449 (spray and hanging, alcohol-free); attars Nawaab, Ameeri, Mastani and Adaa from Rs 379 (3ml/6ml/12ml, alcohol-free); Attar Trio from Rs 1,055; perfumes from Rs 499; reed diffusers from Rs 749; Boond Rs 799, Sukoon Rs 1,799 and Megh Rs 3,499 ultrasonic diffusers; SOSA Safar waterless car and travel diffuser Rs 3,999 (rechargeable, three hotel-inspired scents included); SOSA Vaayu waterless scent machine Rs 11,999 (~1000m³, app + timer).
