Garden Bloom ₹799
Fresh Brew ₹849
Warmth & Bloom duo ₹1,598
Oil refill 300ml ₹2,399
Evening Calm ₹799
The 130ml is the longer bottle, not the louder one. Reach comes from exposed reed surface, and both sizes carry six reeds. Size is duration; reed count is volume.
Two 50ml beat one 130ml when the zone is long or L-shaped. Output per bottle is fixed, so the only way to raise the total in a room is a second source: ₹1,598 for 2 × 50ml, ₹1,598 − ₹1,299 = ₹299 more than the single big bottle.
Past roughly 250–300 sq ft of connected open volume, reeds are being asked to do a job they were not built for, and a Sukoon at ₹1,899 is the honest alternative — for control, not strength.
2. Understand what you are buying, though. The 130ml is the same composition at the same six reeds as the 50ml. It projects the same distance and sits at the same level in the room. What it buys is 14–18 weeks instead of 6–8.
3. The two measurements that actually decide it: the longest straight line across the connected space, and the number of places people genuinely sit. Not floor area, and not the size of the bottle.
4. Two 50ml beat one 130ml in a long zone, an L, or a room with two clusters. Output per bottle is fixed; a second source is the only way to raise the total. Warmth & Bloom duo ₹1,598 — Fresh Brew and Garden Bloom, which meet on warmth and soft musk so the middle of the room reads as a blend rather than a change of subject.
5. The price gap is small and the trade is real. ₹1,598 − ₹1,299 = ₹299 more for the duo, and you get two ends covered but 6–8 weeks per bottle instead of 14–18. Coverage costs attention; duration costs reach you were never getting.
6. Place it at the sofa end, not on the dining table. Inner wall, waist-to-chest, clear air around the reeds, on a tray — the oil marks wood and stone. A table gets cleared at every meal, and a bottle that moves twice a day never settles a room.

Part one — what a 130ml actually buys you
The question assumes a ladder: 50ml for a small room, 130ml for a big one. There is no such ladder in a reed diffuser, and the sooner it is out of the way the better your decision gets. What the larger bottle does, what it does not, and what actually settles whether one is enough.
Warmth & Bloom₹1,598 · 2 × 50mlTwo bottles put twice as much into the room as one, and they put it in at two different places, which is the part that matters in a long zone. The far end stops being far. The cost of that is duration: each 50ml runs 6–8 weeks, so you are back at the shop sooner than with a single 130ml at 14–18. The other cost is compatibility — two compositions sharing one volume of air need a common thread or you get a seam where they meet. Fresh Brew and Garden Bloom meet on warmth and a soft musk, which is why they are sold together; Morning Freshness and Mountain Breeze meet on green eucalyptus. Pairing across the range at random is where this goes wrong.Part two — one 130ml against two 50ml, measurement by measurement
Take each row in turn against your own room. The first row that clearly describes you settles it.
| The measurement you take | One 130ml | Two 50ml | Which wins |
|---|---|---|---|
| Longest straight line across the zone ★ | Holds about five metres from one point | Halves the distance each bottle covers | 130ml under 5 m · two 50ml over it |
| Places people actually sit | One cluster, comfortably | One source per cluster | Two clusters means two bottles |
| Shape — rectangle or L | Fine in a compact rectangle | The only thing that works around a corner | Any L takes two |
| Total fragrance entering the room | Fixed at six reeds, wherever it stands | Double, because there are two sources | Two 50ml, always — size adds nothing here |
| Weeks before you deal with it again | 14–18 weeks | 6–8 weeks each | 130ml, by a wide margin |
| What one 300ml refill at ₹2,399 does | Fills it twice with 40ml over (2 × 130 = 260) | Six fills across the pair (6 × 50 = 300) | Even — the oil goes the same distance |
| Up-front cost | ₹1,299 | ₹1,598 | ₹1,598 − ₹1,299 = ₹299 for the second end |
| The honest caveat: five metres is a working rule for typical Indian flats, not a specification, and it shifts with ceiling height, how open the zone is and how much air moves through it. Longevity figures are typical ranges rather than guarantees. There is no 100ml reed diffuser in the SOSA range — the sizes are 50ml and 130ml — so a middle option does not exist to split the difference. And none of this is about smell removal: a reed diffuser adds a fragrance alongside what is already in your air and does not clean, purify or neutralise anything, including cooking arriving from an adjoining kitchen. | |||

Part three — where neither answer is right
There is a point past which this comparison stops being the right one. Once a connected open volume runs past roughly 250–300 sq ft — a living-dining that also takes in the kitchen, say — you are asking a passive product to hold a space it was not designed for, and a third bottle is not the answer either. What you want at that size is usually fragrance at a particular moment rather than more of it in general, and that is a different tool. A Sukoon at ₹1,899 covers 270–320 sq ft, runs 16–18 hours on low, and has a remote and steady, 2H and 4H timers. Buy it for control, not strength. Two caveats: it works by aerosolising water, so it adds moisture where a reed diffuser adds none, and it takes only the water-based Hotel Collection — reed oil never goes into a machine, and the machine's fragrance never goes into a reed bottle. And the Megh at ₹3,499, which people reach for because it is the biggest, covers about 215 sq ft — less than a Sukoon, a runtime and humidity machine rather than a coverage upgrade.
There is also a case for buying nothing yet. If you already own a 50ml and it is not covering the zone, the free experiment comes first: move it to the far end from wherever it is now, get it up to waist-to-chest on an inner wall with clear air around the reeds, take it off the dining table and out of any draught from a balcony door or a fan, and flip all six reeds. A well-placed 50ml routinely beats a badly placed 130ml, and that costs nothing to find out. Give it a fortnight, and remember your own nose is an unreliable witness at home — you stop registering a constant fragrance in a room you live in, and no technique resets that. Leave the flat for an hour and judge the first breath at the door.
One last thing, about the middle size people go looking for. There is no 100ml reed diffuser in the SOSA range; the sizes are 50ml and 130ml, and that is the whole ladder. The 100ml figure that turns up belongs to the Hotel Collection fragrance for ultrasonic machines, a different product line. The decision in front of you is genuinely binary — one long bottle or two short ones — and your room's shape decides it.
Part four — your combined zone, by shape
Six shapes of combined living-dining, the buy for each, and where the bottles stand.
| Your combined living-dining | What I would buy | Where it stands | Cost and life |
|---|---|---|---|
| Compact rectangle, table at the end of the sofa run, under about 5 m ★ | One Garden Bloom 130ml, six reeds | Sideboard at the sofa end, inner wall, on a tray | ₹1,299 · 14–18 weeks |
| Long rectangle, sofa at one end and table at the other | Warmth & Bloom duo — they meet on warmth and soft musk | One at each end, never both on the same wall | ₹1,598 · 6–8 weeks each |
| L-shaped, dining around the corner | The same duo, Fresh Brew in the dining leg | One in each leg of the L, out of the walking line | ₹1,598 · a corner needs two |
| Compact, but you would rather not think about it for months | Duo in 2 × 130ml — same reach, more than twice the wait | Both ends, six reeds each | ₹2,598 · 14–18 weeks each |
| Zone also takes in an open kitchen, past 250–300 sq ft | One bottle at the far end from the hob, and stop there | Fresh Brew 130ml, sofa side | ₹1,349 · accept the ceiling |
| You want the room scented for guests at eight, not all day | Sukoon, on a timer — control, not strength | Side table, away from the seating, water-based only | ₹1,899 · it adds moisture; reeds add none |
Versailles
This is the question I am asked most often about size, and it is almost always asked in the wrong currency. People write in having decided that their room is big, and therefore that they should buy the big bottle. The big bottle is not for big rooms. It is for people who do not want to think about it again until the season changes.
We make two sizes rather than four because only two things are genuinely adjustable in a reed diffuser: how long it lasts, which is the reservoir, and how much it puts out, which is the number of reeds standing in the air. Reach is not on that list — it is set by the six reeds and by how the air in your room moves, and no version of this product pushes further because there is more liquid beneath it. Saying so costs us the occasional upsell, and I would rather lose it than have somebody spend ₹1,349 and feel let down at week three.
So: measure the long line, count the places people sit, and buy for the answer. A compact living-dining is a genuinely easy room and one bottle will hold it for four months. A long one or an L is two bottles at half the duration, and the pair we sell together share a thread on purpose so the middle of the room does not read as a join. Made in small batches in Pune, and a part of every order funds a girl's classroom through Nanhi Kali.

A reed diffuser adds fragrance to a room. It does not clean, purify or filter air, remove or neutralise cooking, damp or smoke smells, reduce humidity, or change how anyone feels. A reed diffuser adds no moisture to the air; ultrasonic machines work by aerosolising water and therefore do. A persistent musty smell indicates moisture that needs finding and drying, and SOSA sells no dehumidifier or air purifier. Ventilate or extract first; add fragrance second. Evaporation rate rises with warmth and falls with humidity, and airflow carries scent away from the bottle — so performance varies with season, ventilation, ceiling height and room use; longevity figures are typical ranges, not guarantees. Not noticing a constant fragrance is ordinary olfactory adaptation; the reliable checks are leaving the room and returning, or asking someone who has just arrived. Strength figures are positions on SOSA’s own internal scale, not an industry standard. Fragrance oil is flammable — keep bottles away from open flame and out of direct sunlight, and out of reach of children and pets.
