This is the page where a second machine is finally allowed, and it is worth being precise about when. Multiple zones is a genuine specification. It is counted in doors, floors and air-conditioning branches - and the moment you start counting it in corners, you have bought two problems instead of one.
Quick answers — read this first
When does a large footwear store need multiple SOSA Vaayu scenting zones? When it has genuinely separate volumes of air. A second floor reached by stairs, a wing or annexe on its own air-conditioning branch, an enclosed suite behind a door - each of those is a body of air that the main unit cannot reach, and each can carry its own unit, its own timer and its own level. What does not justify a second unit is a second corner of the same connected room. Several units inside one connected volume do not combine into wider coverage; they overlap into competing gradients, and the corner you were worried about stays thin.
Why does adding a second unit not fix the thin corner? Because a thin corner is an airflow finding, not an intensity one. If air is not reaching that part of the floor, adding a source somewhere else in the same connected volume does not move air into it - what it does is raise the level everywhere air is reaching, and produce a band of higher intensity where the two fields overlap. You end up with a louder store, a hotspot in the middle, and the same still corner. The honest fixes are a fixture move, a grille adjustment, or getting the air conditioning to run during trading hours.
What if my connected floor is bigger than one machine is rated for? Then buy one larger instrument, not two of the same. A SOSA Vaayu is rated at 1000 cubic metres, which a standard-ceiling 3,000 sq ft floor essentially reaches; at 4,000 sq ft you are at roughly 1,230 cubic metres and past it. The SOSA Angaan at Rs 25,999 is rated at 3,000 cubic metres, about 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, and holds a floor of that size on one dial. One volume, one instrument, one level, and one thing to adjust when the room does something you did not expect.
The short answer
Short answer: Only for genuinely separate volumes of air: a second floor, a closed stockroom, an enclosed suite, a wing on its own air conditioning. Several units inside one connected volume make competing gradients rather than combined coverage, and leave the thin corner exactly as thin. Above roughly 3,000 sq ft of connected floor the honest answer is one larger instrument rather than more units of the same kind.
The pick: For one connected floor above roughly 3,000 sq ft, one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) at 3,000m³ rather than several Vaayus. For a genuinely separate second volume, one Vaayu (₹11,999) of its own. For a small one such as a landing, a Mountain Breeze reed (₹849).
Next step: Send a plan with every staircase, shut door and separate AC branch marked, and we will count the volumes with you - ask for a store scenting plan.
Multiple zones is a real specification for a real building. It is decided by staircases, shut doors and separate air-conditioning branches, and never by the shape of an open floor.
When does a large footwear store genuinely need more than one scenting unit?
When it has more than one body of air, and that is the whole test - so it is worth applying it properly, because the wrong version of this purchase is expensive and makes the store harder to run rather than easier. A second unit belongs to a second volume. Concretely: a first or second floor reached by stairs; a wing or annexe on its own air-conditioning branch; an enclosed suite, fitting room or brand room behind a door that is normally shut; a stockroom, which is a separate volume but should not be scented at all. Each of those is air the main unit cannot reach, and each can carry its own instrument, its own timer and its own level, because there is a real boundary holding them apart. Now the version that fails. Several units placed inside one connected volume do not combine into wider coverage. They release into the same moving air, so their fields overlap rather than tile, and what you get is competing gradients - a band of noticeably higher intensity where they meet, thinner reads at the outer edges, and no way to correct either, because adjusting one moves the overlap and the far edge together. And here is the part owners are least prepared for: the corner that worried you is still thin. A thin corner is an airflow finding. If air is not reaching that part of the floor, putting a source somewhere else in the same volume does not move air into it - it raises the level everywhere air already goes, so you have bought a louder store, a hotspot in the middle, and the same still corner. The fixes for that corner are mundane and cheap: move a tall fixture, adjust a supply grille, run the air conditioning in fan-only mode during trading hours. Finally, the ceiling on this whole approach. A standard-ceiling 3,000 sq ft connected floor holds roughly 920 cubic metres of air, which essentially reaches what one SOSA Vaayu is rated for; a 4,000 sq ft floor holds roughly 1,230 and is past it. At that point the honest answer is not two Vaayus in one room - it is one SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999, rated at 3,000 cubic metres, about 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB. One volume, one instrument, one dial, one thing to adjust when the room surprises you. We make no claim that any SOSA product removes, neutralises, eliminates or absorbs an odour, or that it cleans, purifies, sanitises or disinfects air - it adds scent, and that is all it does. We make no claim that scent affects sales, conversion, footfall, browsing or what anybody buys. Ask for a store scenting plan with the staircases and shut doors marked.
A second unit for a second body of air. Two in one room give you a band in the middle, thin ends, and the original still corner untouched.
Where one connected floor runs past a Vaayu, the answer is one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999): 3,000m³ - about 8,000-10,000 sq ft - 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules, under 42dB, HVAC-connected or wall-mounted. One volume, one instrument, one dial.
The sizing honesty on this page is a refusal: we will not sell you a second unit for a second corner, and above roughly 3,000 sq ft of connected floor we would rather sell one Angaan at ₹25,999 than two Vaayus at ₹11,999 each. The second-unit purchase is right, and only right, when there is a second body of air - a floor above, a wing on its own AC, a room behind a shut door.
HVAC nebulising diffuser rated at 3,000m³ - about 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft - with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB, HVAC-connected or wall-mounted. ₹25,999. This is what replaces the idea of several units in one room: one instrument, one level, one thing to diagnose.
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated at 1000m³, wall or HVAC mountable, adjustable intensity, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, key-lock, under 38dB, 5W. ₹11,999. A first floor, a wing on its own air-conditioning branch or an enclosed suite is a second body of air, and each one can carry its own unit and its own schedule.
Himalayan pine, sage and cedar, ₹849 for 50ml. Not every second volume deserves a machine. A landing, a lift lobby, an enclosed fitting room or a customer-facing office is usually best served by a single reed in the same register as the main floor, set lower.
HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³ - about 8,000-10,000 sq ft - with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB. HVAC-connected or standalone wall-mount. Made in India.
Three things that decide how many units a large store actually needs.
1
First, the test for a second volume
A staircase, a shut door, or a separate air-conditioning branch
There are exactly three boundaries that reliably create a second body of air in a retail building, and all three are physical. A change of floor reached by stairs or a lift: the air above behaves separately, has its own stillness and its own warm layer, and nothing you mount downstairs will hold it. A door that is normally shut: an enclosed suite, a fitting room, a brand room, a stockroom. And a separate air-conditioning branch, which is the clearest boundary of all because the building is already handling that air as its own system. If you are unsure, hold a light tissue at the threshold during trading: freely moving air means one volume, whatever the drawing calls it. What does not create a boundary: a fixture run, a screen, a curtain, a change of flooring, a rope, or the simple fact that one end of the room is a long way from the other.
Tip: if you cannot close something between the two areas, they are one atmosphere and will stay one atmosphere.
Each genuinely separate volume can carry its own SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, on its own schedule.
Second, what several units in one volume actually leave you with
A band in the middle, thin ends, and the same still corner
Two things go wrong, and the second is the one nobody warns owners about. The first is competing gradients: two sources releasing into the same moving air overlap rather than tile, producing a band of higher intensity somewhere between them and thinner reads at the outer edges, with no way to adjust one without moving the other. The second is that the corner you bought the unit for is still thin. A thin corner is an airflow finding - air is not reaching it - and a source placed elsewhere in the same volume cannot push air into a place air does not go. What it does instead is raise the level everywhere that air already reaches. So you spend ₹11,999, make the middle of your store louder, give your staff a harder nine hours, and still have the corner. The corner's actual fixes cost far less: move a tall fixture, have the grille adjusted, or run the air conditioning in fan-only mode so the loop keeps turning.
Tip: before adding anything, hold a tissue in the corner that bothers you. If it does not move, no machine is the answer.
A reed such as Morning Freshness at ₹749 belongs in a separate volume, never as a second source here.
This is the arithmetic that ends the argument. A connected retail floor of 3,000 sq ft at an ordinary ceiling holds roughly 920 cubic metres of air, which essentially reaches the 1000 cubic metres a Vaayu is rated for. Take that floor to 4,000 sq ft and you are at roughly 1,230 - past the rating, on one connected body of air. The instinct at that point is two units. The correct move is one larger instrument: the SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999, rated at 3,000 cubic metres or about 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, a metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB, HVAC-connected or wall-mounted. The reason is not brand loyalty, it is diagnosis. With one input you can change a setting and read what the room does. With two in the same air you can only guess, and a year later you will be adjusting both every few weeks and calling the result inconsistent.
Tip: past about 3,000 sq ft of connected floor, price the larger unit before you price a second smaller one.
One SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999 holds a large connected floor on a single dial.
Multiple zones is a real specification for a real building. It is just that buildings are divided by staircases and doors, and open floors are not divided at all.
One volume, one instrument, one level. When the volume outgrows the instrument, size the instrument up rather than adding another.
For one large connected floor: SOSA Angaan - 3,000m³, 800ml, metal body, programmable, under 42dB, HVAC-connected. ₹25,999.
The corner you are buying the second machine for will still be thin afterwards. Air was not reaching it before, and a source at the other end of the room does not change where air goes.

One dial per body of air
Sized to the volume, scheduled to the trading hours, locked at one level
One instrument per body of air, sized to that body of air. The table below goes upward in capability rather than upward in unit count, which is the whole argument of this page compressed into three rows. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
What that table deliberately never does is put two units into one connected volume, at any store size. We make no claim that any SOSA product removes, neutralises, eliminates or absorbs an odour, or that it cleans, purifies, sanitises or disinfects air - it adds scent, and that is all it does. Fragrance works alongside ventilation, stock rotation and cleaning, never instead of them, and is never used to mask a smell that has a source - which is why the stockroom is a second volume that receives nothing. We make no claim that scent affects sales, conversion, footfall, browsing or what anybody buys. Staff must be able to switch every unit off in seconds, and if they say it is too much, it is too much. Ask for a store scenting plan.

A note from Sonal
This is the page where I finally get to say yes to a second machine, and I want to be exact about it, because the wrong version of this purchase is the most expensive mistake in the whole family. A second unit belongs to a second body of air: a floor above, a wing on its own air conditioning, a room behind a door that stays shut. That is the entire list.
The version I turn down is the corner. An owner has a far end that always reads thin and wants a machine for it. But air was not reaching that corner before, and a source at the other end of the same room does not change where air goes - it raises the level everywhere else and leaves the corner exactly as it was. And if one connected floor has simply outgrown a Vaayu, I would rather sell one Angaan at ₹25,999 than two of anything.
The limits, plainly. This is a brand and interior decision, and we make no medical, hygiene or therapeutic claim of any kind. We make no claim that any SOSA product removes, neutralises, eliminates or absorbs an odour, or that it cleans, purifies, sanitises or disinfects air - it adds scent, and that is all it does. It never masks a smell that has a source, and no number of units changes that. We make no claim that scent affects sales, conversion, footfall, browsing or what anybody buys. The staff who work each volume for nine hours decide what is too much in it. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
When does a large footwear store need multiple SOSA Vaayu scenting zones?
When it has genuinely separate volumes of air: a floor above reached by stairs, a wing or annexe on its own air-conditioning branch, or an enclosed suite behind a normally-shut door. Each of those can carry its own unit, timer and level. A second corner of the same connected room is not a second zone, and a unit placed there produces competing gradients rather than combined coverage.
Will a second unit fix the corner of my store that always reads thin?
No. A thin corner is an airflow finding rather than an intensity one, and a source placed elsewhere in the same connected volume cannot push air into a place air does not go. It raises the level everywhere air already reaches, so you get a louder store, a band of higher intensity in the middle, and the same still corner. Move a fixture, adjust a grille, or run the air conditioning in fan-only mode instead.
My connected floor is bigger than one Vaayu is rated for. What then?
One larger instrument rather than two of the same. A standard-ceiling 3,000 sq ft floor holds roughly 920 cubic metres, essentially reaching the 1000 a Vaayu is rated for; at 4,000 sq ft you are at about 1,230 and past it. The SOSA Angaan at Rs 25,999 is rated at 3,000 cubic metres, about 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, and holds a floor of that size on one dial.
Does every separate volume need its own machine?
No. Size the instrument to the volume. A first floor of real size or a wing on its own air conditioning may well want its own unit, but a landing, a lift lobby, an enclosed fitting room or a customer-facing office is usually best served by a single reed in the same register as the main floor, set lower. And a stockroom gets nothing at all beyond extraction and a door that shuts itself.
Should separate volumes carry different registers?
Generally no. Different levels, yes - a small enclosed room concentrates and should sit below the main floor - but the register should be the same throughout, so that a customer moving between areas experiences one store rather than several. The exception is a genuinely distinct destination such as a bridal suite, and even then it is a decision about what that room should signal rather than a claim about what a fragrance does.
For a small second volume: Mountain Breeze - a reed on a landing or in an enclosed room, in the floor's register and set lower. ₹849.
A second unit belongs to a second body of air - a floor above, a wing on its own AC, a room behind a shut door - at ₹11,999 each. Above roughly 3,000 sq ft of connected floor the honest answer is one SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999 rather than more units of the same kind. Never two in one room. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Send the plan and we will count the volumes with you.

Facts verified 7 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB, and runs HVAC-connected or standalone wall-mounted. the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with adjustable intensity, a 400ml refillable tank lasting up to about 75 days depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment. Ambient fragrance is an interior and brand decision only. SOSA makes no claim that scent influences a purchase decision, sales, conversion, footfall, browsing time or basket size, and no claim that any product removes, neutralises, eliminates or absorbs an odour, or that it cleans, purifies or disinfects air.
