The number in the question is doing all the damage. Almost everyone who writes to me at this size is pricing a machine against 750 sq ft, when the space that will actually be scented is barely a quarter of that.
Quick answers — read this first
How many machines does a 750 sq ft centre need? One, and it lives in the reception. The consultation rooms are not getting machines and the examination rooms are getting nothing at all, so there is no second zone to equip. One SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899, rated to 270-320 sq ft, on the reception counter, running on a schedule at its lowest useful setting. That is the entire installation for the building.
Why isn't 750 sq ft a bigger job than 500? Because the extra 250 sq ft went into rooms that are never scented. A centre this size typically holds three consultation rooms, an examination room, a store, a washroom and a short corridor. Subtract all of it and the qualifying zone is an entrance, a desk and a waiting area of perhaps 200 sq ft. The building got bigger; the scented space did not.
What does it cost, and when would that change?Total hardware spend: ₹1,899, one machine, with three 15ml fragrances included. The answer changes when there is a genuinely long corridor with closed cabins along it, or central AC worth mounting into - at that point a SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 starts earning itself. At 750 sq ft the corridor is usually five metres long, and a Sukoon at the reception end already reaches the far door.
The short answer
Short answer: one machine, in the reception, and nothing anywhere else. A SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 rated to 270-320 sq ft covers it, because the consultation rooms get no unit of their own and the examination rooms get nothing at all - which leaves a qualifying zone of roughly 200 sq ft rather than 750. Total hardware spend ₹1,899.
The pick: one SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) on the reception counter, with every consultation, examination and treatment room left completely alone. A Mountain Breeze reed at ₹849 is still a defensible answer if the reception is small and you want nothing to manage.
Next step: send the floor plan with every room labelled by what happens in it, and we will cross out the rooms that never get fragrance and tell you the square footage that is actually left - Ask for a clinic scenting plan.
Do the subtraction before you price anything. The headline square footage of a multi-room centre is mostly made of rooms that are permanently out of the plan.
The one machine for the whole centre - tap for the specification
How should a 750 sq ft women's wellness centre with several consultation rooms be scented?
With one machine, in the reception, and nothing anywhere else. The reason that answer surprises people is the number in the question, so let me take it apart before I name a product. You are not scenting 750 sq ft. Draw the plan and start crossing things out. Three consultation rooms at roughly 110 sq ft each are 330 sq ft, and none of them gets a unit of its own - the house answer for a consultation room where no examination happens is a faint drift from reception through an open door, never stronger than the room it opens off, and never a machine standing in the corner. The examination room, and any scan, procedure or treatment room, is out entirely: nothing at all, not a lighter version, because the patient is undressed in a room she cannot leave, often for a long time, and she did not choose the fragrance. That reason is complete on its own and needs nothing else added to it. Then take out the washroom, the store, the staff room and the corridor. What is left is an entrance, a desk and a waiting area of perhaps 200 sq ft. That is the job. One SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 is rated to 270-320 sq ft, so it covers that zone with room to spare and runs at its lowest useful setting rather than working hard. Three 15ml fragrances come in the box. Total hardware spend: ₹1,899, one machine, for a 750 sq ft centre. I know the instinct at this size is to buy the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, because 750 sq ft feels like a real building rather than a room. It is rated to 1000m³, and your whole centre at a 10 ft ceiling is about 212m³ - the qualifying part of it is nearer 57m³. There is a version of this centre where the Vaayu is right, and I would rather tell you what it looks like than pretend it does not exist: a genuinely long corridor with several closed cabins off it, or central air conditioning worth mounting a machine into so the profile travels the way the air already travels. At 750 sq ft the corridor is usually about five metres, and a Sukoon standing at the reception end already reaches the far door. If your plan is the unusual one - a long thin floor plate, a corridor of twelve or fifteen metres, cabins that stay shut - then read the 1,000 sq ft post, because that is where the crossover genuinely sits. The rest of the plan is standing policy and costs nothing. Keep one seat in the waiting area effectively unscented by design and make sure the front desk knows which one it is. Make sure any member of staff can switch the machine off in seconds without asking permission. If a patient asks for no fragrance, reduce it or switch it off and do not explain why she should not mind. And keep the whole thing in proportion: this is an ambience decision with no clinical, therapeutic or wellbeing claim attached, it works alongside your cleaning and ventilation rather than instead of them and is never used to cover another smell, and your judgement as the treating clinician overrides any plan in your own rooms. Ask for a clinic scenting plan and send the floor plan with each room labelled by what happens in it - I will cross out the ones that never get fragrance and tell you what is left.
One Sukoon at ₹1,899 in the reception, and nothing else in the building. Consultation rooms get a drift and no unit; examination and treatment rooms get nothing at all. The zone you are scenting is about 200 sq ft, not 750.
One SOSA Sukoon covers the whole scented part of a 750 sq ft centre - 270-320 sq ft rated, ultrasonic cool mist, three 15ml fragrances included, ₹1,899. If the reception is small and you want nothing to refill, a Mountain Breeze reed at ₹849 is still defensible. A Vaayu at ₹11,999 is not needed here.
One unit does the whole centre because there is only one zone in it. Here is the machine and the cheaper format it sits above, with the specifications on the product pages.
Ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser rated to 270-320 sq ft, three 15ml fragrances included, ₹1,899. Stands on the reception counter, runs on a schedule at its lowest useful setting and comes off at the wall when the centre closes. It uses water, so keep it out of every consultation and clinical room and give the refill to one named person.
Himalayan pine, sage and cedar, alcohol-free and phthalate-free, six fibre reeds, ₹849 for the 50ml and ₹1,349 for the 130ml. No power, no water, nothing to refill. It cannot be scheduled and it cannot be turned up, and in a multi-room centre that second point is worth more than it sounds.
SOSA Sukoon: ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser rated to roughly 270-320 sq ft, supplied with three 15ml fragrances, ₹1,899. Sized against a qualifying zone of about 200 sq ft, so it runs low rather than hard. Ultrasonic means water, so it stands in reception and never in a corridor outside a consultation door. Made in India, composed in Pune to IFRA standards.
Three passes over the floor plan, in this order. By the end of the third you will know exactly what you are buying for.

Cross out the clinical rooms first
These are not negotiable and they are not a lighter setting
The examination room is out. So is any scan, procedure, recovery or treatment room, any pelvic-floor cabin, and any room where a patient is undressed, mid-treatment, holding a baby or waiting on a result. Unscented means unscented - there is no reduced version of this. The reason is environmental and consent-based rather than medical, and it is enough on its own: she is in a room she cannot leave, often for half an hour or more, and nobody asked her whether she wanted a fragrance. In a 750 sq ft centre these rooms usually account for 150 to 250 sq ft before you have even started on the consultation rooms.
Tip: Mark them on the plan in one colour and pin the plan up where the machine lives.
One Sukoon ₹1,899, set once and left alone, is the whole hardware side of this.
Then decide the consultation rooms - the answer is no
A consultation room takes a drift, never a unit of its own
This is the one genuine judgement call in the building, and the house answer is settled. A consultation room where no examination happens may carry whatever faintly drifts in from reception through an open door. It gets no machine, no bottle and no separate fragrance, and it is never stronger than the reception it opens off. Two reasons. A patient sits in that room for twenty minutes discussing something private, and a room she cannot leave should not be pushing anything at her. And the moment you put a second unit anywhere, you have two levels drifting apart and a building that smells inconsistent, which reads worse than no fragrance at all.
Tip: If a consultation room smells stronger than reception, the door has been shut on a unit that should not be there.
One Sukoon ₹1,899, set once and left alone, is the whole hardware side of this.
About 200 sq ft, which is a Sukoon and not a Vaayu
Take out the consultation rooms, the clinical rooms, the washroom, the store, the staff room and the corridor, and a 750 sq ft centre leaves an entrance, a desk and a waiting area of roughly 200 sq ft. Multiply by your ceiling height and you have about 57m³ of air. A Sukoon at ₹1,899 is rated to 270-320 sq ft and covers it with margin. A Vaayu at ₹11,999 is rated to 1000m³ and would be doing a seventeenth of its job. Buy against the zone, never against the signboard.
One Sukoon ₹1,899, set once and left alone, is the whole hardware side of this.
In a multi-room women's centre the headline square footage is mostly made of rooms that are permanently out of the plan. Seven hundred and fifty square feet buys you about two hundred that qualify.
Every quotation I have seen for a centre this size was priced against the lease, not against the room the fragrance is allowed to be in.
One unit, one zone: SOSA Sukoon, 270-320 sq ft rated, three 15ml fragrances included, standing on the reception counter and nowhere else. ₹1,899.
Sized against 200 sq ft, not 750: The qualifying zone is about a quarter of the lease, which is why one small machine finishes the whole building. ₹1,899.
The SOSA Sukoon is rated to 270-320 sq ft against a qualifying zone of roughly 200 - which is why a multi-room centre needs one unit rather than several.
People price scenting against the lease. The lease includes three rooms where a patient takes her clothes off, and none of those rooms is ever going to smell of anything I sell.
— Sonal Sahani, SOSA
Why one unit rather than several
Two units in one building is how a centre starts smelling inconsistent
One machine and one bottle cover every version of this centre I have been sent a plan for. Which you choose depends on whether you want a schedule; how many rooms you have does not enter into it, because the extra rooms are not in the scented zone. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The SOSA women's-health specification
One zone, one unit - and the cheaper way to do the same thing
Do the subtraction before you price anything, buy against the qualifying zone rather than the lease, and keep the whole centre on one profile at one level. Examination, scan, procedure and treatment rooms stay completely unscented, consultation rooms get a drift and never a unit of their own, and one seat in the waiting area is kept unscented by design with the front desk knowing which one it is. Fragrance here is an ambience decision that makes no clinical, therapeutic or wellbeing claim, it works alongside your cleaning and ventilation rather than instead of them, it is never used to cover another smell, and your judgement as the treating clinician overrides any plan in your own rooms. Ask for a clinic scenting plan before you spend anything.

A note from Sonal
Almost every message I get about a centre this size opens with the square footage, and almost every one of them is asking me to price a machine against it. It is an honest question and it has a slightly deflating answer: the number in your lease is not the number the fragrance lives in. Seven hundred and fifty square feet with three consultation rooms and an examination room is, from where I sit, a reception of about two hundred square feet and a lot of rooms I am not allowed anywhere near.
So the work is the subtraction, and it is worth doing on paper with a pen. Cross out the examination room and anything clinical. Cross out the consultation rooms, which take a faint drift through the door and nothing else - that is the house rule and I have never regretted it, because a woman sitting in a small room discussing something private should not have a fragrance being pushed at her. Cross out the store, the washroom, the staff room. Look at what remains, measure it, and buy for that.
Which is one Sukoon at ₹1,899, or a Mountain Breeze reed at ₹849 if you want nothing to manage. Not a Vaayu, unless your floor plate is the long thin one with a fifteen-metre corridor, in which case write to me and say so. One seat stays unscented on purpose, staff can switch it off in seconds, and the clinical rooms get nothing at all. Made in India, composed in Pune, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
How do I scent a 750 sq ft women's wellness centre with multiple consultation rooms?
With one machine in the reception and nothing anywhere else. A SOSA Sukoon at Rs 1,899, rated to 270-320 sq ft, on the reception counter and running on a schedule. Total hardware spend is Rs 1,899. The consultation rooms get no unit of their own, only whatever faintly drifts in from reception, and the examination and treatment rooms get nothing at all.
Why does a 750 sq ft centre need only one small machine?
Because you are not scenting 750 sq ft. Three consultation rooms, an examination room, a store, a washroom and a corridor are all outside the scented zone, which leaves an entrance, a desk and a waiting area of roughly 200 sq ft. That is about 57 cubic metres of air. The building got larger than a small clinic; the part of it that carries fragrance did not.
Should each consultation room have its own diffuser?
No. A consultation room where no examination happens takes whatever faintly drifts in from reception through an open door, and nothing more. It gets no machine, no bottle and no separate fragrance, and it should never smell stronger than the reception it opens off. A patient sits in that room for twenty minutes discussing something private, and a room she cannot leave should not be pushing anything at her.
When would a Vaayu become the right answer instead?
When the building gives it something to do that a small unit cannot. A genuinely long corridor with several closed cabins off it, or central air conditioning worth mounting into so the profile travels the way the air already travels. At 750 sq ft the corridor is usually about five metres and a Sukoon at the reception end already reaches the far door. A SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 is rated to 1000 cubic metres, which is far more air than this centre holds.
Does having more rooms mean I need more machines?
No - it usually means the opposite. Every additional consultation or clinical room is a room that is never scented, so more rooms shrink the qualifying zone rather than growing it. A second machine belongs to a second volume of air, such as a separate floor or its own air-conditioning wing, and not to a second corner of the same reception.
The simplest version of the same answer: A Mountain Breeze reed at ₹849 near the entrance, flipped weekly, if you would rather have nothing to schedule or refill.
The SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 is rated to 270-320 sq ft and covers the qualifying zone of a 750 sq ft centre with margin, which is why the whole building takes one unit rather than several. Made in India, composed in Pune, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Send the floor plan and we will do the subtraction with you.

Facts verified 5 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with adjustable intensity, a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days a fill depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, operation under 38dB at 5W, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification, which are electrical and compliance marks and not medical approvals. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment. The SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) is an ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser covering roughly 270-320 sq ft and is supplied with three 15ml fragrances; the water-based Hotel Collection (₹299 / ₹999 / ₹1,799) is an ultrasonic fragrance and is not a refill for a waterless cold-air machine. SOSA reed diffusers are alcohol-free and phthalate-free, with 50ml lasting about 6-8 weeks and 130ml about 14-18 weeks. Cold-air refill oil for the Vaayu is not currently sold separately - the machine ships with 400ml included and further refills should be confirmed with SOSA. Warranty, annual maintenance, installation and bulk terms are not published and should be confirmed before ordering. Ambient scent is an interior and hospitality decision: it makes no clinical, therapeutic or wellbeing claim, it works alongside proper ventilation, cleaning and infection control and is never a substitute for any of them, it is never used to mask another smell, and no claim is made that fragrance influences a patient's decision or any commercial outcome. Clinical areas including procedure, post-procedure and photography rooms are left unscented, and the treating clinician's judgement overrides any scenting plan in their own room. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own original interpretations; SOSA is an independent brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel named for reference. Coverage, fragrance usage and running cost depend on the space, settings and hours of use, and are confirmed on a consultation.
