✓ One SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 covers up to 1000m³ of connected air on a single waterless unit; one Angaan at Rs 25,999 past about 3,000 sq ft of one air - the ladder does not move with the weather✓ Humidity, heat, dust, sealed recirculation and tall ceilings each change the level or the wall - none of them changes the product, and none is fixed by turning up✓ Demo kitchen and coffee counter stay unscented - and SOSA makes no claim that scent moves any business number

Nine city pages sit under this one, and an honest reader will notice they keep reaching the same machine, the same register and the same demo rule. That is the point. India's climate changes the number and the wall - it does not change what you buy, and it never changes what you leave unscented. This page is the table those nine pages are rows of.
Quick answers — read this first
Does India's climate change how a large appliance showroom should be scented? It changes two settings and nothing else: the level the machine is locked at, and the wall the source sits on. Humid air holds fragrance close and long, so the number steps down and anything that adds water leaves the floor. Heat lifts and spreads a fragrance, so the same number reads stronger by afternoon and the level is found at the hottest hour. Dust and smog are filter and cleaning work before any fragrance. A sealed, recirculating box builds a scent up instead of letting it leave. A tall floor is sized by the air it holds, not the area it covers.
What does not change with the climate? The product, the register and the map. The machine is waterless in a wet city because the air has enough water and waterless in a dry city because a scent machine is not a humidifier. The register is a well-kept home - cedar, sage, tea and dry woods, or lemon-mint on white glass - in every climate, because dry woods stay clean in humid air and read right in dry air. The live kitchen, hob demo and coffee counter stay unscented while a demonstration runs, in every city, in every month.
Which machine, and what is the honesty? One SOSA Vaayu (Rs 11,999) - waterless, 1000m³, adjustable intensity, timer, key-lock - per connected floor of roughly 1,500-3,000 sq ft; one SOSA Angaan (Rs 25,999) past about 3,000 sq ft of one air, or sooner where the ceiling is tall; a Mountain Breeze or Morning Freshness reed (Rs 749-849) at the desk below about 750 sq ft. Fragrance is an interiors decision, like lighting or music: SOSA makes no claim that it changes footfall, dwell time or sales, and no claim about what humidity, heat, dust or fragrance does to any appliance on display.
The short answer
Short answer: yes, but only the level and the placement. Humidity: a step down, and no water on the floor. Heat: find the number at the hottest hour and lock it there. Dust and smog: filters, tops and fresh air first, fragrance last. Sealed AC and winter recirculation: it builds, so the setting comes down and the mornings start with fresh air. Tall floors: size by volume, not area. The product, the register and the unscented demo zone never change.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) per connected floor of roughly 1,500-3,000 sq ft in any climate; one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) past about 3,000 sq ft of one air or earlier under a tall ceiling; a Mountain Breeze (₹849) or Morning Freshness (₹749) reed at the desk below about 750 sq ft.
Next step: send a floor plan with the AC supply and returns, the ceiling height, the glass front and the demo kitchen marked, and name the city - ask for a showroom scenting plan. Anything beyond the product - visits, timing, service - is confirmed with SOSA directly.
Does India's climate change how a large appliance showroom should be scented?
Yes, and less than the city pages under this one might suggest. The climate changes the level and the placement; it does not change the product, the register, or the rule that the demonstration stays unscented. Take them in order. Humid air - the Mumbai monsoon, Chennai in every month, Surat by the river - carries a fragrance longer and holds it closer to the floor, so the same output reads stronger; the standing number in a humid city is a step below an inland floor's, and on the coast that step-down is the number for the year. Humid air also settles the machine: nothing that adds water belongs on a humid electronics floor, which is why the waterless SOSA Vaayu is the only SOSA machine this family names for a sales floor. Heat is related but different. Warm air lifts a fragrance and spreads it through the whole volume, and sun through a glass front heats the zone behind it above the rest, so a number that was un-nameable at ten in the morning in Ahmedabad or Delhi in June is nameable by four. The machine has not changed; the reading has. The level is found at the hottest hour, at the far point, with the advisor as the judge, and locked there - and the source sits off the sun-facing glass. Dust is the third condition and not a fragrance condition at all: summer dust, construction dust and winter smog are filter, vent, top-of-appliance and fresh-air work, done before the machine is switched on, because a scent machine adds one thing to the air and takes nothing out. The fourth is the sealed box. A floor that recirculates its own air - Delhi in winter, any showroom with the plant off overnight - does not let a fragrance leave, so it builds; the response is a step down, fresh air before opening where the outside allows it, and a timer that never runs overnight. The fifth is height. A double-height centre holds far more air than its footprint admits, and a machine is chosen by the air it has to fill: one machine per volume, sized by volume, never by area - which is why an Angaan at ₹25,999 is named at 3,000 sq ft under a normal ceiling and earlier under a tall one, and why two Vaayus never share one air. Now the part that stays still. The machine is waterless everywhere - in a wet city because the floor already has enough water, in a dry one because a scent machine is not a humidifier and mine makes no claim to be. The register is a well-kept home everywhere: Mountain Breeze's pine, sage and cedar on walnut, stone and dark glass, Morning Freshness's lemon and mint on a white floor; dry woods stay clean in damp air and read right in dry air, and nothing edible enters a kitchen-appliance showroom in any weather. And the map is the same in every city: one source per volume, high on the wall the AC supply crosses, off the street glass, off on the timer while a hob or coffee demonstration runs. The nine city pages - Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Surat and Jaipur - are each one condition worked through on one kind of floor, and what a premium home-appliance showroom should smell like is where all of them start. And the honesty, which does not change with the weather either: fragrance is an interiors decision, like lighting or music. SOSA makes no claim that it changes footfall, dwell time, conversion or sales, no claim about what humidity, heat, dust or fragrance does to any appliance or finish on display, and it is never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or extraction. Nothing here is a promise about visits, timing or service in any city - those are confirmed with SOSA. Ask for a showroom scenting plan and tell me the city, the ceiling height and which way the glass faces.
Climate changes the level and the wall, never the product. Humid: a step down, no water. Hot: set at the hottest hour, off the sun glass. Dusty: filters and fresh air first. Sealed and recirculating: it builds, so step down and air the floor before opening. Tall: size by volume. One waterless SOSA Vaayu (Rs 11,999) or Angaan (Rs 25,999) per volume, in every city.
For a connected sales floor of roughly 1,500-3,000 sq ft in any Indian climate, one SOSA Vaayu - waterless, 1000m³, adjustable intensity and key-lock - at ₹11,999. The climate decides the number and the wall; the machine is the same.
What one machine per volume looks like across the climates
Two honest answers by connected volume of air, and neither changes with the weather. The images link to the product pages so every figure can be checked.
From about 1,500 sq ft of connected sales floor, any climate
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³ - about 2,000-3,000 sq ft under a normal ceiling - on one unit, Rs 11,999. Waterless is the climate feature: no moisture added to a humid floor, none pretended on a dry one. Adjustable intensity is the other, because every condition here is answered by a step down and the key-lock keeps it there. 1h/4h/8h/24h timer so it runs trading hours, switches off for demos and never overnight; under 38dB; wall or HVAC mount so it sits on the supply wall, off the glass.
HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³ - about 8,000-10,000 sq ft under a normal ceiling, a good deal less under a double-height one - Rs 25,999. Metal body, 800ml reservoir, programmable schedules, under 42dB, HVAC-connected on the sales-floor duct or standalone on a wall. One Angaan instead of two Vaayus sharing one volume.
1000m³ coverage (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft) on a single unit, Rs 11,999, adjustable intensity, 400ml tank running 90+ days a fill, Bluetooth app and 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, key-lock. Wall or HVAC mount so the source sits on the AC supply path, off the glass. CE, RoHS, SGS certified. Made in India.
The five climate conditions, and what each one moves
Five conditions, each with a city or two under it: what each does to the air, which dial it moves - the level or the wall - and what it leaves alone.
1
Humidity
Wet air holds the fragrance - the level steps down, and water leaves the floor
Humid air is the condition that changes the most, and the coast never gets a break from it. Water in the air carries a fragrance longer and holds it closer to the floor, so the same output reads stronger, lingers after the machine has stopped and pools where the plant does not reach. That is why a humid city runs a step below an inland one: in Mumbai the step-down is the monsoon setting, in Chennai the standing setting because there is no dry quarter to go back up to, in Surat the number the new build is switched on at. Humid air also settles the machine. An ultrasonic diffuser puts mist into air that already has too much water, around a desk of steel and screens; nothing that adds water belongs on a humid electronics floor, so the waterless Vaayu is the only machine this family names. And damp gets into things: cardboard, fabric chairs and the doormat hold moisture and smell, and they leave the floor before any fragrance is judged. What humidity does not change is the register - dry woods stay clean in wet air where sweet and floral turn thick - or the map. Mumbai and Chennai work the wet floor through; Surat adds the new build.
Rule: in humid air the question is never how much more the room needs. It is how much less - and whether anything on the floor is adding water.
2
Heat
Warm air lifts the fragrance - find the number at the hottest hour, off the sun glass
Heat is the condition owners least expect because nothing on the machine changes. Warm air lifts a fragrance and spreads it through the whole volume, so the same number reads stronger on a hot floor than on a cool one, and sun through a glass front heats the zone behind it above the rest, so the strongest reading is in front of the window by mid-afternoon. The response is a rule about the hour, not the machine: the level is found at the hottest hour of a hot day, at the far point, with the advisor who has stood there since morning as the judge, and it will sit a step below the morning instinct; then the key-lock goes on. The wall follows: the source never sits on the sun-facing glass, where the socket so often is, but high on the wall the AC supply crosses, so the scent reaches the hot window zone last and lightest. Dry heat adds one trap - a fragrance seems to vanish at the door, and the instinct is to turn up; the door is a draught in every city and is accepted as such. What heat does not change is the water question: dry air is not a reason for a mist diffuser, because a scent machine is not a humidifier. Ahmedabad is the heat page; Jaipur adds stone, which amplifies.
The Vaayu wall-mounts on the supply wall, holds the afternoon number under a key-lock, and switches off in one press for a demo.
It is filter, vent and top-of-appliance work - done first, never scented over
Dust has nothing to do with fragrance, and it is on this page because so many owners reach for a scent machine to deal with it. Summer dust in Delhi NCR and Jaipur settles on every top; construction dust on a Pune main road comes through the door with the traffic; winter smog on the days a Delhi floor keeps its windows shut is in the air the plant recirculates. Every one is smelled before it is seen, and every one has a fix that is not a fragrance: the plant's filters cleaned or changed, the supply vents wiped, the tops of the appliances dusted before opening, cardboard out of the back store, fresh air through the floor where the outside allows it. A scent machine adds one thing to the air and takes nothing out, and fragrance over dust is a worse smell than dust - a nose that meets cedar and grit remembers the grit. The machine goes on last, after the floor smells of nothing, at a number found in clean air. What dust does not change is the level, once the floor is clean, or the wall. Delhi NCR is the dust-and-smog page, Pune the construction-dust one, the dusty floor after cleaning the order of work.
Test: if the floor smells of the road, the fragrance is not the next job. The filter is. Fragrance comes on when the floor smells of nothing.
4
The sealed box
Sealed AC and winter recirculation build a fragrance - the setting comes down, the mornings start with air
A large appliance showroom in most of India is a sealed box for most of the year - against heat in summer, against smog in a northern winter, every night when the plant goes off. A box that recirculates its own air does not let a fragrance leave. It keeps what the machine puts in and adds the next hour's output; by late afternoon the floor carries more than the setting suggests, and whatever is in the air at closing is in it at opening. Two things follow. The level on a recirculating floor sits a step below what the same floor would take with fresh-air make-up, found at the far point in the last trading hour. And the day starts with air, not fragrance: an hour of fresh air before opening where the outside allows it, the filters doing the work where it does not, and the machine off until the floor smells of nothing. The timer matters more here than anywhere - the Vaayu runs trading hours and never overnight; an Angaan on the plant runs the plant's schedule. The wall follows the plant: on the supply path, away from the return, so the scent crosses the floor once before it is taken back. What the sealed box does not change is the product or the register. Delhi NCR covers the winter case, the stale morning floor the overnight one, and fragrance disappearing when the AC runs the supply-and-return logic.
Rule: in a sealed box the machine never runs overnight, and the morning belongs to fresh air. What the plant holds, the plant amplifies.
5
Tall floors and large formats
Size by the air the room holds, not the floor it stands on - one machine per volume
The last condition is a building fact, not a weather one, and in India it belongs to Hyderabad's double-height experience centres and Surat's purpose-built new builds. A machine fills air, not floor: a 2,500 sq ft floor under a double-height ceiling holds roughly twice the air the plan admits. So the ladder is read in cubic metres - the Vaayu's 1000m³, the Angaan's 3,000m³ - and the Angaan is named earlier under a tall ceiling than the area rule suggests. A mezzanine open to the floor is the same volume; a second floor with its own plant is a second volume and takes its own machine, same scent, same level test. Never two Vaayus in one connected air - two sources in one volume make two gradients, and the visitor walks through the seam. Height changes the wall as well: the source sits high, above the partition line, on the supply wall. What height does not change is the register or the level test - stone, steel and full-height glass carry a fragrance a long way, so the number sits low, and the demonstration below the atrium stays unscented while it runs. Hyderabad is the volume page; high ceilings and calculating requirements give the method.
Past about 3,000 sq ft of one air, or sooner under a tall ceiling, one Angaan - HVAC nebuliser, 3,000m³, programmable schedules - rather than a second Vaayu.
India's climate is an argument about two dials - the level and the wall - and every condition on this page turns the first one down; not one of them turns it up, and not one of them changes the machine.
Wet, hot, dusty, sealed or tall: a step down, the right wall, the same waterless machine, the same dry register, the same unscented demonstration.
One machine, five climates, one number found honestly: SOSA Vaayu, ₹11,999, waterless, adjustable intensity and key-lock, up to 1000m³ of connected floor in any city.

What it does to the level and the wall - and what it leaves alone
Humid air - Mumbai in the monsoon, Chennai all year, Surat
Level: a step down; on the coast, the standing number. Wall: unchanged - the supply path, off the street glass. Water: ruled out, so the waterless Vaayu. View →
Heat and sun through glass - Ahmedabad, Delhi in summer, Jaipur
Level: found at the hottest hour, a step below the morning instinct, locked. Wall: off the sun-facing glass, deep inside on the supply wall. Register: lemon-mint earns its place on the sunlit white floor. View →
Dust and smog - Delhi NCR, Jaipur, a Pune main road
Level and wall: unchanged once the floor is clean. What changes is the order of work - filters, vents, tops, fresh air, then the machine, only when the floor smells of nothing.
The sealed, recirculating box - Delhi in winter, any floor overnight
Level: a step down, judged in the last trading hour. Wall: on the supply path, away from the return. Timer: trading hours only, never overnight; the morning starts with fresh air.
Tall ceilings and large formats - Hyderabad, Surat
Level: low, because stone, steel and full-height glass carry it far. Wall: high, above the partition line, on the supply. Machine: sized by volume - the Angaan earlier than the area rule suggests; never two Vaayus in one air. View →
Mild air with the front open - Bengaluru
Level: found with the doors open and the fans running. Wall: the back two-thirds - the threshold belongs to the street. Register: dry woods, unchanged. View →
The wet floors are Mumbai, Chennai and Surat; the hot and dusty ones are Ahmedabad, Delhi NCR and Jaipur; the tall one is Hyderabad; the open front is Bengaluru; and Pune is the dry baseline with a wet quarter and SOSA's home. For a chain with stores in several rows at once, standardising fragrance across a multi-city chain turns this table into a written standard. SOSA makes no claim that any of this affects footfall, dwell time, conversion or sales.
The register that travels to every row of the table: one Mountain Breeze reed diffuser at the desk of a small studio, ₹849 for 50ml, 6-8 weeks, dry woods in wet air or dry.
SOSA Vaayu ₹11,999 covers up to 1000m³ on a single waterless unit in any Indian city. Send a plan with the ceiling height and glass front marked and we will choose the wall.

A note from Sonal
I wrote the nine city pages before this one, and by the fifth I could see what I was going to have to admit here: the cities are different and the plan is nearly the same. Mumbai and Chennai asked me for a step down and no water. Ahmedabad and Delhi asked me to set the level at four in the afternoon and keep the machine off the sun glass. Delhi in winter and every city overnight asked me to remember that a sealed box holds what you put in it. Hyderabad and Surat asked me to measure the ceiling. Not one of them asked for a different machine or a different scent, and not one asked for more.
That is the finding of this family, and I would rather say it plainly than dress each city up as its own product. The climate turns two dials: the level, which in every case it turns down, and the wall, which is always the one the AC supply crosses and never the glass. The Vaayu is the same waterless machine in Chennai and in Jaipur - waterless in the first because the air has enough water, in the second because a scent machine is not a humidifier and I make no claim that mine is one. What the air does to the brands you carry is a question for them, and I say so on every page.
Dust is the exception that proves it: not a fragrance condition at all, and the honest thing to say about a floor that smells of the road is that the filter is the next job, not the machine. The machine goes on last, at a number found in clean air, and it goes off while the hob is lit. Under about 750 sq ft a Mountain Breeze reed at the desk; from about 1,500 sq ft one Vaayu; past 3,000, or sooner under a tall ceiling, one Angaan. And in every climate: no claim that fragrance moves footfall, dwell time or sales, no claim about what humidity, heat or fragrance does to anything on display, never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or extraction, and the demonstration unscented while it runs. It is an interiors decision, like lighting or music. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
Across India's climates, which showroom scenting decisions change and which stay the same?
Two things change: the level the machine is locked at and the wall the source sits on. Humid air, heat, a sealed recirculating box and a tall floor each move one or both. Everything else stays the same in every city: the waterless machine, the well-kept-home register of dry woods or lemon-mint, one machine per volume of air, the source on the AC supply path off the glass, and the live kitchen and coffee counter unscented while a demonstration runs.
Is there any Indian climate condition that calls for turning the fragrance up?
No. Humid air holds a fragrance, so the setting steps down. Heat lifts and spreads it, so the number is found at the hottest hour and sits below the morning instinct. A sealed box builds it, so the setting comes down again. Dry air at the door makes it seem to vanish, but the door is a draught in every city and is accepted rather than chased. If the middle of a floor is genuinely not receiving scent, that is placement relative to supply and return, fixed by moving the source.
Does a humid city and a dry city need a different SOSA machine for the sales floor?
No - the same waterless Vaayu, for opposite reasons. In Mumbai, Chennai or Surat the air already carries water, so nothing that adds mist belongs on a floor of steel, glass and screens. In Ahmedabad, Delhi or Jaipur the air is dry, but a scent machine is not a humidifier and SOSA makes no claim that the Vaayu is one; whether a floor wants humidification is a question for the building and the brands on display, not for a fragrance.
How does dust or smog in a city change the fragrance plan for a large appliance showroom?
It changes the order of work, not the level or the product. Dust and smog are filter, vent, top-of-appliance and fresh-air work, done before the machine is switched on; a scent machine adds one thing to the air and takes nothing out, and fragrance over grit is a worse smell than grit alone. Once the floor is clean and smells of nothing, the machine goes on at a number found in that clean air and the wall is chosen by the AC supply as it is anywhere.
For a multi-city appliance chain, can one written scenting standard cover every Indian climate?
Yes, if the standard fixes what does not change and leaves two fields open per site. Fixed: the register, the waterless machine, one machine per volume, the source on the supply wall off the glass, the timer for trading hours, the unscented demo zone. Open per site: the locked number, found at that floor's worst hour by its own advisor at the far point, and the wall, chosen from that floor's AC drawings. SOSA makes no claim that any of it moves a business number.
The same machine in every climate, at the number the air allows: SOSA Vaayu, ₹11,999, waterless, for the sales floor in any Indian city.

Facts verified 7 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days a fill depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W (roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule), freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification - electrical and compliance marks. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or displays; the four 100ml bottles in the box are the supply, and refill availability should be confirmed with SOSA. The SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB; the SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) is the HVAC machine for 12,000-18,000 sq ft. The SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) is a 500ml water-based ultrasonic diffuser for a single room of roughly 270-320 sq ft. SOSA reed diffusers - Mountain Breeze (₹849 / ₹1,349) and Morning Freshness (₹749 / ₹1,249), or the two together as the Fresh & Grounded duo (₹1,548 / ₹2,548) - are alcohol-free and phthalate-free, with a 50ml bottle lasting 6-8 weeks and a 130ml bottle 14-18 weeks. Ambient fragrance in a showroom is an interior and hospitality decision: SOSA makes no claim that it changes dwell time, footfall, conversion, basket size, sales or any other business number, no claim about what it does to any appliance, surface or finish on display, and it is never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or extraction.
