It usually starts as a cost question and it is really a physics question. One machine on its highest setting looks like the cheap way to cover a big building, and it is genuinely cheaper — it is simply not coverage. What maximum intensity buys you is a heavier concentration within a few metres of the machine and very little more at the far end of the room than you had before, which in a showroom means the strongest smell in the building is standing closest to the cars.
Quick answers — read this first
Does turning one machine up cover a bigger area? No. Intensity and range are different things. A higher setting puts more into the air near the source; how far that travels is decided by the air movement in the building, not by the dial. In a large showroom the result is a concentrated area around the machine and very little difference at the far end.
So does a large showroom need zones? It needs zones on the customer side, and the display floor is not one of them. The genuine candidates are the lounge, the first-floor waiting area, the delivery room, the documentation rooms and service reception — each sized on its own rather than reached from somewhere else.
What does zoning actually cost? Two Vaayus is Rs 23,998 and three is Rs 35,997, against Rs 11,999 for one. A mixed plan of one Vaayu and two Sukoons is Rs 15,797. The cost nobody prices is maintenance: three machines is three tanks, three settings and three people who can change them. Nobody can promise that a scent moves a business number, and this guide does not try to.
The short answer
Short answer: Zones, but fewer than you think and none of them on the display floor. Maximum intensity does not extend reach — it concentrates output near the machine, which in a showroom puts the strongest air next to the vehicles. Size each customer-side room on its own.
The pick:SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 for a connected customer-side volume up to 1000m³; SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 for a small enclosed zone that does not need one; SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999 where one large connected zone would otherwise take two machines.
The honest limit: Nobody can promise that a scent moves a business number, and this guide does not try to. The arithmetic below tells you what a plan costs, not what it is worth.
Does a large car showroom need multiple scent zones rather than one machine running at maximum intensity?
Zones — but far fewer of them than the question implies, and the reason to reject the single machine at maximum is not cost. It is that intensity and range are different variables, and the dial only touches one of them. Turning a machine up puts more into the air at the point of release. How far that air then travels is decided by the building: the air-conditioning throw, the return paths, the door and shutter cycles, the height of the ceiling. A higher setting therefore produces a heavier concentration within a few metres of the machine and very little change at the far end of a large floor. You have not covered more building. You have made one part of it stronger.
In a showroom that failure mode is worse than merely wasteful. The machine has to stand somewhere, and in a building organised around a display floor, 'somewhere' is usually close to the cars. So maximum intensity delivers the strongest air in the building to the one place that must not have it, while the lounge at the other end of the plan gets almost nothing. That is not a compromise between two imperfect options; it is the worst available arrangement, and it is the one that a cost-driven single-machine plan produces by default.
So: zones, and the first job is to delete most of them. The display floor is not a zone — it is an exclusion. The delivery bay is not a zone. That leaves the genuine candidates, which are the rooms where people sit: the customer lounge, the first-floor waiting area, the delivery room, the documentation and finance rooms, and service reception where it is a proper room. In most buildings, two or three of those connect to each other and can be served as one zone rather than three, which is the single biggest saving available in this decision. Measure each candidate in cubic metres, see which of them share air, and you will typically end up with two zones where the original plan had five.
Now the arithmetic, since the question is partly a cost one. One SOSA Vaayu is ₹11,999. Two is Rs 23,998; three is Rs 35,997. A mixed plan — one Vaayu for the connected lounge and corridor plus two SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 for two small enclosed rooms — is Rs 15,797, which is usually the sensible shape. Where one connected customer-side volume genuinely runs past 1000m³, SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999 is one machine rather than two Vaayus, and it is the better answer because two sources in one volume produce a seam wherever their outputs meet. Electricity is small enough to be a footnote: a Vaayu is 5W, roughly 1.5 units a month on a ten-hour daily schedule, so three of them is about four and a half units a month, and tariffs vary. The cost that never appears on a quotation is the maintenance one: three machines is three tanks to refill on three different dates, three settings that have to agree with each other, and three dials that twenty members of staff can reach. In practice that is what makes a five-zone plan fail — not the money. Nobody can promise that a scent moves a business number, and this guide does not try to. Size the rooms, merge what shares air, buy the smallest thing that serves each one, and key-lock whatever has a dial on it.
Zones, but fewer than five and none on the display floor. Maximum intensity does not extend reach — it concentrates output near the machine, which in a showroom is next to the cars. Merge the customer-side rooms that share air, then size each remaining zone: one SOSA Vaayu is ₹11,999, two is Rs 23,998, three is Rs 35,997, and one Vaayu with two Sukoons is Rs 15,797. The real cost of zoning is three tanks, three settings and three dials people can reach.
For a customer-side zone of up to 1000m³, SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 is one machine with a level you set once and key-lock — which matters more in a twenty-person building than any specification on the box, because the setting stops being something anybody can raise before a busy Saturday.
Waterless cold-air nebuliser, ₹11,999, rated to 1000m³ — about 2,000–3,000 sq ft depending on ceiling height. A 400ml tank lasting roughly 75–90 days a fill, adjustable intensity, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, auto-stop, under 38dB and — the specification that matters most in a large dealership — key-lock, so the level is one decision rather than a dial in a building where twenty people work.
HVAC nebulising diffuser, ₹25,999, rated to 3,000m³ — roughly 8,000–10,000 sq ft — with an 800ml reservoir, a metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB. Against two Vaayus at Rs 23,998 it is a slightly larger number that buys a materially better result, because two sources in one volume disagree somewhere in the middle and one source does not.
1000m³ coverage (about 2,000–3,000 sq ft depending on ceiling height), ₹11,999, adjustable intensity, a 400ml tank lasting roughly 75–90 days a fill, Bluetooth app and onboard buttons, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, auto-stop, under 38dB and key-lock. In a building with twenty staff, a display floor a few metres away and a busy Saturday, the value of key-lock is not convenience — it is that the level you agreed after walking the building is still the level three weeks later. DC 12V/1A at 5W, roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule, and tariffs vary. CE, RoHS and SGS certified, which are electrical and compliance marks. Made in India.
Why the dial does not do what people think it does, how to cut a five-zone plan down to two, and what zoning costs once the quotation has been written.
1
Intensity is not range
The dial changes concentration at the source, not how far air travels
This is the whole technical content of the question. How far scented air moves through a building is set by the building — air-conditioning throw and return paths, door and shutter cycles, ceiling height, whether the space is one volume or several. The machine controls how much is released, not how far it goes. So a higher setting gives you a heavier concentration near the machine, a modest increase at middle distance and essentially nothing new at the far end of a large floor. In a showroom that means the strongest air ends up nearest the cars, which is the outcome the whole of this family exists to avoid.
Tip: Walk from the machine to the far corner at two settings and note where the difference stops. It stops much closer to the machine than anybody expects.
SOSA Vaayu is rated to 1000m³ at a sensible setting, which is the honest way to read a coverage figure — not as a floor to be extended with a dial.
Two candidates usually share air, and the floor is not a candidate at all
Start by removing the display floor and the delivery bay, which are exclusions rather than zones. That leaves the lounge, the first-floor waiting area, the delivery room, the documentation rooms and service reception. Now measure each in cubic metres and mark which of them genuinely share air — a lounge that opens into a corridor that runs to the finance rooms is one volume, not three. Most plans that arrive with five zones leave with two: one connected customer-side volume and one separate enclosed room. That merge is the largest saving in this decision and it costs nothing but a tape measure.
Tip: Draw the doors before you draw the zones. Anything without a door between it and the next space is part of that space.
SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 is what a genuinely separate small room needs, and it is a tenth of the cost of giving it a machine it does not need.
Rs 23,998 for two, Rs 35,997 for three — and then the part nobody prices
One Vaayu is ₹11,999; two is Rs 23,998; three is Rs 35,997. A mixed plan of one Vaayu and two Sukoons is Rs 15,797, which is usually the right shape. Electricity is a footnote: 5W each, roughly 1.5 units a month per machine on a ten-hour daily schedule, so three is about four and a half units, and tariffs vary. The cost that never reaches the quotation is maintenance — three tanks refilled on three dates, three settings that have to agree, three dials in a building where twenty people work. That is what makes over-zoned plans fail, and it is the argument for merging zones and key-locking everything that has a control on it.
Tip: Write down who fills each machine and who is allowed to change each setting. If you cannot name them, you have one zone too many.
SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999 replaces two machines in one connected volume, which is one tank and one setting rather than two of each.
A dial changes how much is released. The building decides how far it goes. Confusing those two is how a showroom ends up with its strongest air standing next to the cars.
Which is why the first move in a zoning plan is always a tape measure and a list of doors, never a setting.
The cheap end of a zoning plan:SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 — 270–320 sq ft with 16–18 hours on the low setting, which is what a small enclosed zone actually needs rather than a second twelve-thousand-rupee machine.

Totals above are simple multiples of the catalogue prices and are written in Rs; the catalogue figures themselves are ₹11,999, ₹25,999, ₹1,899, ₹849 and ₹38,500. Electricity is 5W per Vaayu — roughly 1.5 units a month on a ten-hour daily schedule, and tariffs vary. Nobody can promise that a scent moves a business number, and this guide does not try to. The display floor, delivery bay and the vehicles themselves carry no source of any kind, and nothing goes inside a customer's vehicle. Ambient scent is an interior decision with no health, therapeutic, wellbeing or air-treatment claim, and SOSA sells no deodoriser, purifier, dehumidifier or extractor. Ask for a scenting plan and we will merge your zones before we price them.

A note from Sonal
The single-machine-at-maximum plan is the most understandable mistake in this cluster, because it is how everything else in a building works. A bigger light is brighter further away. A louder speaker carries. Air does not behave like either of those: the dial controls how much leaves the machine, and the building decides where it goes.
What that means practically is that maximum intensity gives you a strong patch around the machine and a far end that is more or less where it started. In a showroom the machine is usually near the display floor, so you have paid to put the loudest air in the building next to the cars. I would rather sell nothing at all than sell that arrangement.
The plans that work are smaller than the ones that arrive. Take out the floor and the delivery bay, which are not zones. Merge whatever shares air. You usually end up with two: a connected customer-side volume on one SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, key-locked, and one enclosed room on SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 — Rs 13,898 for the pair, against Rs 35,997 for the three-machine plan that was on the table. And no, nobody can promise any of it moves a business number. It makes two rooms better, and it does it without making anything worse.
Frequently asked questions
Does a large car showroom need multiple scent zones rather than one machine running at maximum intensity?
Zones, but fewer than most plans assume. Maximum intensity does not extend reach — it raises the concentration near the machine, while the building decides how far air travels, so you get a strong patch and an unchanged far end. In a showroom that patch is usually next to the cars. Remove the display floor and delivery bay as exclusions, merge the customer-side rooms that share air, and size what is left: SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 for a connected zone, SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 for a small one.
How much does a three-zone plan cost against a one-machine plan?
Three Vaayus is Rs 35,997 against Rs 11,999 for one. A mixed plan — one Vaayu for the connected lounge and corridor plus two Sukoons for two small enclosed rooms — is Rs 15,797, which is usually the sensible shape. Three Sukoons alone is Rs 5,697. Nobody can promise that any of these figures returns anything, and this page does not attempt that arithmetic.
Is two machines in one big room better than one?
No. Two sources in a single connected volume produce two strong areas and a seam wherever their outputs meet, and the seam moves with the air conditioning. At Rs 23,998 that is an expensive way to buy an audible join. Where one connected volume genuinely runs past 1000m³, SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999 is one source for up to 3,000m³ and the better answer for almost the same money.
What does running several machines cost in electricity?
Very little, and it is the least important number in this decision. A Vaayu is DC 12V/1A at 5W — roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule, so three machines is about four and a half units a month, and tariffs vary. The real recurring cost of zoning is attention: three tanks on three dates, three levels that have to agree, and three controls that staff can reach.
Can we at least run the lounge machine higher to reach the showroom floor?
That is the same mistake in a smaller frame. Raising the lounge machine makes the lounge heavier without materially changing the floor, and it pushes more air towards the threshold the whole arrangement is meant to protect. Keep the lounge at a low fixed level, key-locked, with the source at the far end from the opening — and accept that the display floor stays unscented, which it should be regardless of what any machine could do.
One zone, one setting, key-locked: SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 — 1000m³, waterless, adjustable intensity and a key-lock that keeps the level you agreed after walking the building.

Facts verified 5 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA reed diffusers are alcohol-free, phthalate-free and paraben-free compositions on a heat-stable coconut-derived base, supplied in a refillable glass bottle with six fibre reeds, flipped weekly, with 50ml lasting 6-8 weeks and 130ml lasting 14-18 weeks, tested at 45°C and 85% relative humidity - Mountain Breeze ₹849 / ₹1,349, Morning Freshness ₹749 / ₹1,249, Evening Calm ₹799 / ₹1,299. The SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) is an ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser covering about 270-320 sq ft for 16-18 hours on the low setting and supplied with three 15ml Hotel Collection fragrances; being ultrasonic, it works by aerosolising water and therefore adds some moisture to the air, which is worth weighing in a warm, high-occupancy room. The SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with a 400ml refillable tank lasting roughly 75-90 days a fill depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W (roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule, and tariffs vary), freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification - which are electrical and compliance marks, not medical approval. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment; refill availability should be confirmed with SOSA. The SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB. Coverage figures are volumetric, so ceiling height changes the floor area a machine genuinely serves. SOSA products are not medical devices and no health, therapeutic, wellbeing or air-treatment claim is made or implied anywhere in this guide, and nothing here claims that ambient scent affects sales, orders, enquiries, footfall, conversion or any other business number - no one can promise that, and this guide does not. Ambient scent is an interior decision that works alongside cleaning, ventilation, air handling and housekeeping and is never a substitute for any of them, and SOSA sells no deodoriser, purifier, dehumidifier or extractor. Ventilation rates, plant and laboratory air handling, pressure regimes, HVAC filtration and any decision about where a fragrance source may or may not be placed on a regulated site are matters for the company's own engineering, QA and EHS teams. Clinical, treatment and procedure areas are left completely unscented. Fragrance sensitivity is real: staff should be able to switch any system off in seconds, and no SOSA product is described as hypoallergenic or as safe for sensitive individuals. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own original interpretations; SOSA is an independent brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel named for reference. Coverage, fragrance usage and running cost depend on the space, settings and hours of use, and are confirmed on a consultation.
