Used mainly after dark, for guests? The W Hotels-inspired Lobby Bar has the projection.
The part people get wrong: one machine. A marble living room usually needs two Sukoons at five to six drops, run as a session before you use the room.
2. Assume two machines, not one. A living room with a marble floor is usually the biggest connected volume in the flat and often double-height. One Sukoon lights up one end of it. Two Sukoons at ₹1,899 each, placed apart, beat any single machine — and no larger tank solves a coverage problem.
3. Five to six drops, and time it around use. Stone stores nothing, so run a forty-minute session before the room is used rather than trying to hold a level all day. People, open doors and an adjoining kitchen all clear the air faster than you think.
4. If it is an evening room: W Hotels-inspired. Lobby Bar — citrus, pepper and amber. Bold and spiced, with genuine projection across a big hard space. The right answer for a marble living room used mainly after dark and for guests, and too much for a quiet weekday one.
5. Put a tray under it. Ultrasonic mist is water, and marble draws liquid in even though it will not hold fragrance. A machine standing on the stone console can leave a dark ring or a dulled patch. Use a metal tray or ceramic saucer, and keep the mist away from the glass and the television.

Two problems at once: a floor that holds nothing and a room that swallows everything
Marble is the most indifferent surface in a home. It is dense, cold and effectively sealed, so it takes up no fragrance and returns none — where wool, linen and upholstery quietly store scent and hand it back over hours, stone simply lets it pass. That alone would make a marble room need a bigger dose than its size suggests. But a living room adds three more drains that a hallway or a bedroom does not have. It has volume, usually the largest connected volume in the home and frequently a double-height or open-plan one. It has people, and every person is a warm body moving air, plus a door opening and closing. And it very often has a kitchen attached, which pushes competing smells and warm air into the same space every evening.
So the honest instruction is more machine, more drops and better timing — not a stronger fragrance, which in a hard room only turns harsh while it lasts. Two Sukoons spaced apart at five to six drops each scent a marble living room properly; one at eight drops scents a corner of it aggressively. On congruence the marble does you a favour: cold polished stone reads clean and expensive, and a clean scent agrees with it effortlessly. The mismatch to avoid is heavy amber in a bright stone room, which people register as wrong without being able to say why. Congruence matters more than intensity, and the effect is real but moderate — worth getting right, not enough to rescue a room under-dosed by half.
The three decisions in a marble living room
Hotel CollectionFrom ₹299Coverage is quoted in square feet because that is how people describe rooms, but fragrance fills a volume. A 300 sq ft living room with a standard ceiling and a 300 sq ft one with a double-height void over the seating are not the same job, and the second needs half as much again. Marble is almost always specified in the taller room. If yours is double-height, opens onto a stairwell, or runs into a dining area around a corner, plan for two Sukoons at ₹1,899 each, placed apart. What each scent does in a marble living room
The seven judged on how they behave in a big, cold, hard-floored room that people sit in for hours. Projection and fatigue matter more here than in any other marble space. A 15ml at ₹299 tested from your own sofa settles it faster than a table.

Dose, two machines, placement and a caution
Run five to six drops per tank on a Sukoon in a marble living room: six where the room is bare and hard, five where there is a proper rug and curtains, four only if it is genuinely upholstered throughout. Six is the top of the 3–6 range and there is nothing above it — if six still reads thin from the far end of the room, that is a coverage problem, and coverage problems are solved with a second machine. A Sukoon is rated 270–320 sq ft with 16–18 hours per fill on low and 9–12 on high; a small adjoining study or balcony room takes a Boond (₹899, 300ml, up to 150 sq ft, up to 6 hours) at three drops.
Placement decides half the result in a big hard room. Stand each machine about a metre up — console, shelf, sideboard — never on the floor, where cold air pooling above cold stone keeps the mist low and the fragrance travels along the skirting instead of reaching the sofa. Put the two at different ends of the room, keep a clear foot around each, and keep both out of the throw of an AC or ceiling fan, which will deliver the whole output to one wall. If the kitchen is open to the room, run the session after cooking.
The caution, which matters more here than in most rooms because of what the surfaces cost. Ultrasonic mist is water. Marble does not absorb fragrance but it is porous to liquid, so a machine standing directly on a stone console or windowsill can leave a darkened ring, a dulled patch in the polish or a chalky mineral bloom in a hard-water city. Stand it on a metal tray, a ceramic saucer or a coaster — and the same on polished timber, where settling mist marks the finish. Do not aim it at a glass table, a mirror, artwork, leather or the television, and use filtered water so mineral residue does not settle as fine white dust on a dark stone floor.
What to buy
The scent is a ₹299 decision. The machines are arithmetic, and a marble living room is the one room in an Indian home where two is the normal answer rather than the extravagant one.

Versailles
The marble living room is the single most common room people write to me about, and the messages are almost identical. It smells wonderful for half an hour by the machine and of nothing at all from the sofa. Then the assumption follows: the fragrance must be weak.
It is nearly always arithmetic instead. The room is bigger than they think, taller than they think, and built from a material that stores nothing. One machine in a double-height stone room is a candle in a hall. When I ask people to move it up onto a console and add a second one at the far end, the complaint disappears without anybody changing the scent.
So: two Sukoons, five or six drops, a session before you use the room, a tray under each. And buy the 15ml at ₹299 first and judge it sitting down, from where you actually sit — not standing over the machine. A portion of every order funds a girl's classroom through Nanhi Kali.
