The wardrobe: Ritz-Carlton-inspired, St. Regis-inspired and Westin-inspired fixed, with 1 Hotels-inspired and W Hotels-inspired moving.
The running cost: one 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799, roughly ₹6 per ml.
The fork: a genuinely open 450–500 sq ft living-dining wants a hybrid — one Vaayu plus two Sukoons, ₹15,797.
2. Three fixed characters, two that move — and all of them included. Nine 15ml Hotel Collection bottles of your choice arrive with the three machines. Ritz-Carlton-inspired in the living/dining, St. Regis-inspired in the master, Westin-inspired where somebody else sleeps, with 1 Hotels-inspired for the hot months and W Hotels-inspired for the evening people come.
3. One schedule and one restock habit. Living/dining on steady or the 4H timer while people are home; both bedroom units on low with the 2H timer. Then one morning a week, all three tanks together — empty, rinse, wipe the misting plate, refill. A 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 supplies every tank at roughly ₹6 per ml.
4. The fork is layout, not budget. If your living, dining and entrance are one uninterrupted 450–500 sq ft with no door in them, that volume is larger than one Sukoon's rating and the honest answer is a hybrid: one waterless Vaayu at ₹11,999 — up to 1000m³, Bluetooth app with real scheduling, under 38dB, no added humidity — plus two Sukoons in the bedrooms, at ₹15,797.
5. What a premium 3BHK should not buy. A fifth machine, a diffuser in the corridor, a 500ml unit in a bathroom, the Megh at ₹3,499 for a flat with four doors, the Aangan at ₹25,999 which is an HVAC system for 8,000–10,000 sq ft, or essential oils in an ultrasonic tank.
A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Step one: the hardware, room by room
SOSA makes several home and commercial scenting systems and only four of them matter to a 3BHK — the Sukoon for the rooms you live in, the Boond for a bathroom, reeds for a room still waiting, and, in one specific layout, the Vaayu. Everything else in the catalogue exists because a 1,600 sq ft flat and a 15,000 sq ft lobby are not the same problem, and I would rather name the parts you can ignore than let a comparison table imply you need them. The deciding number is 270–320 sq ft. The deciding concept is the enclosed air mass: fragrance is stopped by doors long before it is exhausted by distance, which is why the same 1,600 sq ft would need one machine as a loft and three as a 3BHK.
Step two: every premium 3BHK setup, compared
These are the configurations premium 3BHK households actually buy, with what each costs, what arrives in the box and what it honestly delivers. The rows worth staring at are the third and the fourth — and then the fifth, which is a hundred rupees cheaper than a fourth machine and a better home.
| Setup | Cost | What it genuinely covers | Scents included | Honest verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| One Sukoon | ₹1,899 | Part of a 350–500 sq ft living-dining; three bedrooms untouched | Three 15ml | A gesture rather than a setup in a four-room flat |
| Two Sukoons | ₹3,798 | The living/dining and the master bedroom, properly | Six 15ml | The honest starting point — and you are naming two rooms you are leaving out |
| Three Sukoons ★ | ₹5,697 | Living/dining, master bedroom and the second room somebody is awake in | Nine 15ml | The recommendation for the great majority of premium Indian 3BHKs |
| Three Sukoons + a 300ml refill | ₹7,496 | The same three rooms, with the everyday scent never rationed | Nine 15ml + 300ml | ₹100 less than a fourth machine, and the better order for almost every household |
| Three Sukoons + refill + Pack of 7 + Boond | ₹10,194 | Three rooms, a seasonal rotation and a bathroom at the right scale | Nine 15ml + 300ml + seven 15ml | The complete walled-flat setup. Nothing above this improves a partitioned 3BHK |
| Vaayu + two Sukoons — the hybrid | ₹15,797 | A genuinely open 450–500 sq ft living-dining on a waterless nebuliser, plus two bedrooms on ultrasonic | Six 15ml | Right for an open plan and excessive for a walled one — ₹17,696 with a third Sukoon |

Step three: the wardrobe, the schedule, the budget and what to skip
Start with the wardrobe, because it is where a premium 3BHK differs most from a smaller flat and where the money is best spent — except that it usually is not money at all. Every Sukoon arrives with three 15ml Hotel Collection bottles of your choice, so three machines land with nine, and if you spread that choice at checkout rather than doubling up you own the entire range on the first evening. The structure that works is three fixed and two moving. Fixed: Ritz-Carlton-inspired (white tea, bergamot, cedar) in the living/dining, because it is the largest air mass, the room nearest the kitchen and the room the front door opens into, so it works hardest and must offend least; St. Regis-inspired (amber, violet, woods) behind the master bedroom door, where richness is comfortable rather than tiring because you are conscious in there for two hours rather than sixteen; Westin-inspired (white tea, aloe, cedar) where a guest or a child sleeps, chosen by subtraction because it has the least to say. Moving: 1 Hotels-inspired (cedarwood, vetiver, green leaves) into the master for the hot months and permanently into any bedroom used as a study, and W Hotels-inspired (citrus, pepper, amber) in the living/dining from two hours before people arrive. Choose for the distance between the bottles rather than the description of each — cedar running through three of them is what keeps the flat coherent. The three-bottle case is here and the five-bottle case here.
Then the schedule and the budget, because a premium setup fails at the schedule far more often than at the hardware. Living/dining on steady or the 4H timer while people are home; both bedroom units on low with the 2H timer, which means they have stopped themselves long before you are asleep. Be clear about what the timers are: duration timers rather than a clock, so the Sukoon runs for a set number of hours once you start it and cannot switch itself on at six in the evening — the only machine here with genuine scheduling is the Vaayu. Then pick one morning a week and do all three tanks together — empty, rinse, wipe the misting plate, refill with filtered or RO water in hard-water cities — rather than reacting to whichever has run dry, because the reactive version is what turns three machines into a chore. On the budget: ₹5,697 is three machines and nine bottles, the recommendation for this home. ₹7,496 adds a 300ml 300ml refill at roughly ₹6 per ml against about ₹20 per ml in 15ml bottles, and is a hundred rupees less than the ₹7,596 four-machine setup. ₹8,395 adds a Boond at ₹899 for a bathroom. ₹10,194 adds the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 for a seasonal rotation, and that is the complete walled-flat setup with nothing above it worth buying. For the open-plan fork, ₹15,797 is the hybrid, ₹17,596 adds the refill for the two Sukoons, and ₹19,395 adds the Pack of 7 on top. Staging is unusually clean here because nothing you buy first is superseded: the second and third machines are the same unit at the same price, every bottle fits every tank, and a refill bought today serves a machine you have not bought yet. The priority order for the first two machines is here.
Now what to skip, plainly, because a premium budget is exactly the situation in which people buy the wrong things. A fifth Sukoon — a 3BHK has four enclosed rooms and a couple of bathrooms, and a bathroom wants an ₹899 Boond rather than a ₹1,899 machine rated for 270–320 sq ft. A machine in the corridor — it has no door of its own, borrows from whichever rooms are open, and nobody stands in it for more than a minute. The Megh at ₹3,499 — a genuinely good 6-litre unit whose large tank solves refill frequency in one big space, which is not the problem a four-door flat has; it still occupies exactly one room, and in a partitioned flat the next machine always beats the bigger machine. The Vaayu at ₹11,999 in a walled flat — it is a waterless cold-air nebuliser running undiluted oil, rated for up to 1000m³ of connected space, and it will not cross a bedroom door any more than an ultrasonic machine will, so it belongs alongside Sukoons in an open plan and nowhere at all in a partitioned one. Aangan at ₹25,999 and Meenar at ₹38,500 are HVAC systems for 8,000–10,000 and 12,000–18,000 sq ft — hotel floors and showrooms rather than homes. And essential oils: the Sukoon is a 2.4MHz water-based unit and thicker essential and carrier oils clog the misting plate, so it runs SOSA's own water-based Hotel Collection fragrance and nothing else. One last thing that costs nothing and outranks every line above it — deal with the air before you add anything to it. Extractor while you cook rather than afterwards, bins emptied before they are noticed, dry bathroom floors, the shoe cupboard ventilated, ten minutes of morning air. Fragrance layers on top of clean air and has never once replaced it.

| Buy | What it does | When it earns its place | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Three Sukoons ★ | 500ml each, 270–320 sq ft each, 16–18h on low, remote and steady/2H/4H timers — the living/dining, the master bedroom and the room somebody is awake in, with nine 15ml Hotel Collection bottles between them | The recommendation for a standard premium 3BHK. Two at ₹3,798 is the honest place to start | ₹5,697 |
| 2. 300ml refill | Months of the everyday scent across all three tanks at roughly ₹6 per ml against about ₹20 per ml in 15ml bottles — ₹7,496 all in, a hundred rupees less than a fourth machine | After a month, once one of the nine included bottles has clearly won | ₹1,799 |
| 3. Pack of 7 × 15ml | The fourth and fifth characters and a seasonal rotation — 105ml at about ₹17 per ml and roughly ₹257 a bottle, with the seventh effectively free against six singles | When the three rooms have started smelling like one another | ₹1,799 |
| 4. Boond 300ml / reed diffuser / candle | A bathroom at the right scale on bottles you already own; a bedroom still waiting for a machine; light as well as fragrance on the evening a guest stays | Once every room you live in has a machine — never before | ₹899 / from ₹749 / from ₹379 |
| 5. The fork: one Vaayu + two Sukoons | Waterless nebulising up to 1000m³ with Bluetooth scheduling and under 38dB for a genuinely open 450–500 sq ft living-dining, with ultrasonic machines behind the bedroom doors | Only when the living, dining and entrance are one volume with no door, and only after height and central placement have failed | ₹15,797 |
| Skip: a fifth Sukoon, Megh, Aangan, essential oils | A duplicate machine; a 6-litre tank that still occupies one room; an HVAC system for 8,000–10,000 sq ft; thicker oils that clog a 2.4MHz misting plate | Fifth Sukoon never; Megh only for a hall or loft; Aangan is a hotel floor rather than a home; oils never in an ultrasonic tank | ₹1,899 / ₹3,499 / ₹25,999 |
Versailles
The premium 3BHK is where people most often ask me to spend their money for them, and it is the home where I most often decline. The budget is genuinely there, the flat is genuinely large, and the assumption that follows — that a bigger machine or a fifth one must be the premium answer — is the one thing standing between most of these households and a home that smells the way they imagined. Four doors is four doors. It does not matter what the flat cost.
Three Sukoons at ₹5,697, three fixed characters and two that move, one refill and one morning a week. That is the answer for the great majority of premium 3BHKs, and the complete version with a seasonal rotation and a bathroom is ₹10,194 — which is less than most people expect to spend and more than most people need to. Nothing you buy first is superseded: the machines cost the same in November, the bottles move between every tank, and a refill bought today serves a machine you have not bought yet. Where I will genuinely change my recommendation is the open plan. If your living, dining and entrance are one uninterrupted volume with the corridor running off it, that room wants a Vaayu and your bedrooms still want Sukoons, and the honest number is ₹15,797. What I will not do is sell an ₹11,999 machine to a flat with four internal doors and a walled sitting room, because it would not do what the invoice implied — and I would rather be the fragrance house that talked you out of that than the one that took the order.
Everything is made and supported from Pune, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. You get a home that smells like somewhere you chose; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.
