★ SOSA home scenting · the villa kit list
Two houses share the word villa — one is a set of rooms and one is a single volume, and they take completely different kit
There are two villa kits, not one. Kit A is six Sukoons at ₹11,394 for a cellular bungalow. Kit B is a Vaayu plus four Sukoons at ₹19,595 for an open ground floor.
The two shopping lists
Choose by layout
A Sukoon covers 270–320 sq ft and runs 16–18 hours on low. Every bedroom, study and guest room in either kit is a Sukoon — that half of the list never changes.
What every villa buys
Sukoon ₹1,899
The Vaayu is rated to 1000 m³, about 2,900 sq ft of floor at a twelve-foot ceiling. It is waterless, so it runs neat oil and cannot take the Hotel Collection.
What Kit B adds
Vaayu ₹11,999
Megh is ₹3,499 for a six-litre tank but covers only 215 sq ft — less than a ₹1,899 Sukoon. It buys 100 hours of runtime in one room, never extra floor area.
The one to skip on a kit list
Not a coverage step
Every Sukoon arrives with three 15ml Hotel Collection fragrances. A six-machine bungalow therefore lands with eighteen bottles and needs nothing added on day one.
What is already in the box
18 × 15ml included
Kit A: six Sukoons, ₹11,394. Kit B: Vaayu ₹11,999 plus four Sukoons ₹7,596 = ₹19,595, with the Vaayu oil bought separately.

Founder Diaries · Home Scenting by Home Type
By Sonal Sahani · ISIPCA Versailles 10 min read Updated August 2026
This is a kit list rather than an argument, but it comes with one piece of sorting to do first, because the word villa covers two buildings that need almost nothing in common. A 1990s bungalow with doors between every room is a set of ordinary rooms and takes ordinary machines. A builder villa with an open ground floor is one volume with bedrooms attached. Work out which one you live in and the shopping list writes itself.
Quick answers — read this first
Kit A — cellular bungalow: six Sukoons, one each in the drawing room, dining room and four bedrooms. ₹11,394, eighteen 15ml fragrances included.

Kit B — open-plan villa: one Vaayu at ₹11,999 for the whole ground floor, four Sukoons upstairs. ₹19,595, plus the Vaayu's own neat oil.

Both kits: nothing in the corridors, nothing on the landing, nothing in the guest room you use four times a year.
The short answer
The best setup: For a cellular bungalow, six Sukoons at ₹1,899 each — living, dining and four bedrooms — for ₹11,394 with eighteen 15ml fragrances in the boxes. For a villa with one open ground floor, a Vaayu at ₹11,999 downstairs plus four Sukoons upstairs, ₹19,595 in total.
How to tell which: Walk from your front door to your dining table. If you pass through a door that closes, you have rooms and Kit A is right. If you do not, the ground floor is one air space and needs to be sized by volume rather than by room, which is Kit B.
Not on either list: A Megh. At ₹3,499 it is the most expensive ultrasonic here and covers the least area of the three — about 215 sq ft against the Sukoon's 270–320. It is a 100-hour runtime and humidity machine for one dry room, and it does not belong on a coverage kit list.
Straight answer
What is the best diffuser setup for a villa or bungalow?
1. Kit A, for a bungalow with doors: six Sukoons. Drawing room, dining room and four bedrooms, one Sukoon each at ₹1,899. Six machines, ₹11,394, and eighteen 15ml Hotel Collection fragrances arrive with them.

2. Kit B, for an open ground floor: one Vaayu plus four Sukoons. The Vaayu at ₹11,999 covers the whole connected downstairs from one point; the four bedrooms upstairs stay on Sukoons at ₹7,596. Total ₹19,595, with the Vaayu's neat oil bought separately — it is waterless and cannot use the Hotel Collection.

3. Add a Boond only for the small odd rooms. A powder room, a home office cupboard, a puja alcove — anything under 150 sq ft is a Boond at ₹899 rather than a full Sukoon. It is the cheapest sensible line on either kit list.

4. Leave the transit space out of the list entirely. Corridors, stairs, the landing, the double-height void. A villa has enough passage area to swallow two machines and give nothing back. Those rooms take their fragrance from the doors either side of them.

5. Do not add a Megh to make the kit feel more serious. It is ₹3,499 for six litres and up to 100 hours, but it is rated to 215 sq ft — less than the ₹1,899 Sukoon. There is exactly one villa use for it: a single very dry bedroom you want running unattended for days.

Made in India, composed by an ISIPCA Versailles-trained perfumer — and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
TL;DR: two kits. A cellular bungalow takes six Sukoons for ₹11,394 and is finished. An open-plan villa takes one Vaayu downstairs and four Sukoons upstairs for ₹19,595 plus oil. Nothing goes in a corridor, and the Megh is not on either list.
SOSA Sukoon 500ml ultrasonic cool mist diffuser
On every villa kit list, in every room with a door
SOSA Sukoon · 500ml ₹1,899
270–320 sq ft, 16–18 hours a fill on low, 9–12 on high, a remote and steady / 2H / 4H timers. Three 15ml Hotel Collection scents in every box, which is why a six-machine bungalow needs no fragrance order at all in month one. Buy one per closed room and stop.

Why one kit list does not fit both kinds of villa

Floor area is the least useful number on a villa's floor plan. Two houses of 3,200 sq ft can need entirely different equipment, because what determines the kit is how the air inside is divided rather than how much of it there is. An older bungalow is cellular by design — a drawing room you close, a formal dining room, a kitchen with a door because of the cooking, bedrooms off a corridor. Every one of those is a self-contained body of air of two or three hundred square feet, which is precisely what a Sukoon was built for. A bungalow like that is not a big house as far as fragrance is concerned; it is six small ones. Six Sukoons at ₹1,899 finish it completely, each with its own timer, its own scent and its own switch.

The contemporary villa inverts that. The ground floor is deliberately undivided — entrance flowing into seating, seating into dining, dining into an island kitchen, often with a void over the living area and a staircase passing through it. There are no doors to count, so there is nothing to allocate machines to, and the temptation is to place three or four Sukoons around the edge and hope they meet in the middle. They do not. Ultrasonic mist is cold and dense; it falls out of the air within a few metres of the machine rather than travelling across a hall, so what you get is three scented islands and dead air between them. The Vaayu exists for exactly this: it nebulises neat oil into cold air with no water at all, producing a far finer particle that stays airborne long enough to fill a volume. That is the whole reason Kit B has a different machine in it rather than more of the same one.

The three parts of a villa kit

1
PART ONE · THE ROOM MACHINES
Four to six Sukoons, and they are the same in both kits
SOSA Sukoon diffuserSOSA Sukoon₹1,899Every room with a door that closes takes one Sukoon: master, children's rooms, the study, the guest suite if it is genuinely used. 270–320 sq ft each, which comfortably covers the 150–250 sq ft a villa bedroom usually runs to, with room to spare for a high ceiling. Sixteen to eighteen hours on a fill at low, a remote so nobody crosses a dark room, and steady / 2H / 4H timers so a bedroom can scent itself before bed and stop on its own. Three 15ml scents in each box means a six-machine order arrives with eighteen bottles.
The count: doors, not rooms. A dressing area open to the bedroom is not a second machine.
2
PART TWO · THE VOLUME MACHINE
One Vaayu, and only if you genuinely need it
This is the line that separates the two kits and the only one worth deliberating over. If your ground floor is one connected space above roughly 800–1,000 sq ft, the Vaayu at ₹11,999 replaces every machine you would otherwise scatter across it. Rated to 1000 m³ — about 2,900 sq ft of floor at a twelve-foot ceiling, or around 1,750 sq ft of true double height — driven by a Bluetooth app and a timer rather than by refilling a tank. Two things to accept before buying it: it is waterless, so it runs neat oil and cannot take the water-based Hotel Collection at all, and it cannot reach a single closed bedroom, which is why Kit B still has four Sukoons in it.
The threshold: under 800 sq ft of connected floor, two Sukoons are the better buy. Over it, one Vaayu.
3
PART THREE · THE FRAGRANCE ORDER
Usually nothing, in month one
The part of the list people over-buy. Each Sukoon includes three 15ml Hotel Collection scents of your choice, so Kit A lands with eighteen bottles and Kit B with twelve — months of running before you need to think about it. When you do reorder, buy by the way you actually run the house: a 300ml bottle at ₹1,799 works out around ₹6 per millilitre and is the sensible unit for a signature scent used across several machines, while the Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 is for deciding which scent that should be. A 100ml refill from ₹999 sits between them. The Vaayu's oil is a separate purchase on a separate schedule.

The room-by-room list

Both kits laid out room by room, with the machine and the running dose. Coverage figures assume a closed room without a strong draught — a villa bedroom with the garden door open behaves like a smaller room, so err towards the lower end of every range.

The villa kit list
Every room, the machine it takes, and why
Room Kit A · cellular Kit B · open plan Drops

Living / drawing room ★ Sukoon ₹1,899 Covered by the Vaayu 4–5 drops
Dining room Sukoon ₹1,899 Covered by the Vaayu 4 drops
Kitchen Nothing — extractor and window instead Nothing — cooking wins either way
Master bedroom Sukoon ₹1,899 Sukoon ₹1,899 3–4 drops
Bedrooms 2–4 Sukoon ₹1,899 each Sukoon ₹1,899 each 3 drops

Corridors, stairs, landing Nothing Nothing
Kit A total: six Sukoons, ₹11,394, eighteen 15ml fragrances included. Kit B total: one Vaayu ₹11,999 plus four Sukoons ₹7,596 = ₹19,595, twelve 15ml fragrances included and the Vaayu's neat oil bought separately. Neither list contains a Megh, which at ₹3,499 covers 215 sq ft — less than a Sukoon.

The kit, in three products
The SOSA principle
A kit list is only as good as the walk you took before writing it. Count the doors that close, not the rooms on the plan.
Two villas of identical area can take a ₹11,394 kit and a ₹19,595 kit respectively, and the plan drawing will not tell you which is which.

Where each machine stands, and what it runs on

Bedrooms are the same job in both kits. Put the Sukoon about a metre off the floor and a metre from the bed — a chest of drawers rather than the bedside table if the room allows — and keep it out of the direct throw of the split AC, which will drive the mist against one wall and leave the rest of the room untouched. Three drops of the Hotel Collection in a normal bedroom, four in a large master with a high ceiling. Set the 2H timer and let it run before the room is occupied rather than through the night; a bedroom that smells of something at 3am is over-scented, not well-scented.

Kit A's ground floor rooms want more than a bedroom does and less than people give them. A drawing room of 300–350 sq ft takes four to five drops and an hour of running before guests, not a continuous low burn from lunchtime. Place the machine off to the side of the seating rather than in the middle of it, at roughly the height of a console table, with a foot of clear space around it so the mist disperses instead of condensing on a wall. If the room opens to a garden and that door is open all evening, accept that you are scenting a part-outdoor space and run a slightly higher dose for a shorter time rather than all day at a low one.

Kit B's Vaayu is placed once and then operated from an app, which changes the discipline entirely. It wants to sit low and near existing air movement — beside the seating, in the path of the AC return or the natural draught coming in from the entrance — and it must not go up on a mezzanine or in the void, where its output rises and never comes down. Schedule it in blocks: an hour in the morning, two or three across the evening. Housekeeping for the Sukoons either side of it: filtered water in hard-water cities, a rinse when you change scent, never raw essential or carrier oil in an ultrasonic tank, and every bottle kept away from children and pets.

The best setup for a large house is usually the shortest list. Every machine you add in a passage takes something away from a room.

What each kit costs, itemised

Both kits with the arithmetic shown, plus the trimmed versions for people who do not need every room scented on day one. The fragrance column matters: Sukoons arrive with theirs, the Vaayu does not.

Either kit, restocked A 300ml bottle ₹1,799 (~₹6/ml) or a 100ml refill from ₹999 Months across the whole fleet from ₹999
Honest notes before you buy: the totals above are hardware. Because each Sukoon includes three 15ml fragrances, Kit A genuinely needs no fragrance order for months; Kit B needs one on day one, because the Vaayu is waterless and runs neat oil bought with the machine. It cannot take the water-based Hotel Collection, and neither can the ducted Aangan at ₹25,999. The ultrasonic machines (Boond, Sukoon, Megh) are imported from China; the Hotel Collection fragrances are composed and made in India by an ISIPCA Versailles-trained perfumer. Water-based fragrance adds a little humidity — welcome in a dry winter, less so in a coastal monsoon. Use filtered water in hard-water areas, rinse the tank between scents, keep fragrance away from children and pets, and never substitute raw essential or carrier oils in an ultrasonic. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
SOSA Vaayu waterless cold-air scent diffuser
Only if the ground floor is one space
SOSA Vaayu · waterless ₹11,999
Cold-air nebulising rated to 1000 m³, Bluetooth app and timer, no tank and no added humidity. In Kit B it does the whole open ground floor from one point while the bedrooms stay independent upstairs. It is waterless and runs neat oil bought with the machine, so it cannot use the water-based Hotel Collection — plan for two fragrance supplies, not one.

A note from Sonal

The thing I most often delete from a customer's villa order is a machine for the corridor. It feels like the responsible purchase — the passage connects everything, so surely it should smell of something — and it is the one line on the list that reliably does nothing. Air moves through a corridor; it does not sit there.

The second thing I delete is the fourth machine in an open ground floor. People who have accepted that a large space needs more usually reach for more of what they already own, and with ultrasonics that produces pockets rather than coverage. It is not a failure of the Sukoon — it is what cold mist does. That is the only situation in a home where I will point somebody at a commercial machine, and it is why Kit B exists at all.

What I would keep on the list without hesitation: one machine behind every door you actually close, three drops rather than six, and a 300ml bottle once the included fifteens run out. It is a shorter list than most people expect for a house this size. A portion of it funds a girl's classroom through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best diffuser setup for a villa or bungalow?
It depends on whether the ground floor is divided. A cellular bungalow takes six Sukoons at ₹1,899 each — drawing room, dining room and four bedrooms — for ₹11,394, with eighteen 15ml fragrances included. A villa with one open ground floor takes a Vaayu at ₹11,999 downstairs plus four Sukoons upstairs, ₹19,595 in total, with the Vaayu's neat oil bought separately.
How do I know if my ground floor counts as one space?
Walk from the front door to the dining table and count the doors you have to open. If there are none, it is one air space and should be sized by volume rather than by room. If there is even one door you habitually close between the entrance and the seating, treat the two sides as separate rooms and give each its own Sukoon.
Do I need a diffuser in every bedroom of a villa?
Only in the bedrooms you use. A guest room occupied four nights a year does not need a machine standing in it — move one across for the weekend instead. The rule is one machine per closed room you actually occupy, which in most villas means the master, the children's rooms and possibly a study: four Sukoons at ₹7,596 rather than six at ₹11,394.
Where does the Boond fit in a villa kit?
In the small odd rooms. A Boond at ₹899 is rated to 150 sq ft and runs about six hours a fill, which suits a powder room, a compact study, a puja alcove or a dressing room. It is not a substitute for a Sukoon in a full bedroom, but it is a sensible way to finish the last two small rooms without adding ₹3,798 to the order.
Should a Megh be part of a villa setup?
Not as a coverage machine. The Megh costs ₹3,499 and is rated to about 215 sq ft, which is less than the ₹1,899 Sukoon's 270–320. What six litres buys is up to 100 hours of unattended runtime and meaningful humidity, so it has one honest villa job: a single very dry bedroom through a north-Indian winter. Anywhere else on the list, another Sukoon is the better purchase.
