This is the page where the earlier musk questions land. The verdict is Adaa, said plainly, with an equally plain account of what you would be getting and who should look somewhere else. A recommendation you can trust has to include both halves.
Quick answers — read this first
Which SOSA attar should a clean-musk lover try? SOSA Adaa at ₹379 for the 3ml. It is the lightest of the four attars, with bergamot, green cardamom and neroli over jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang, on white musk, vetiver and cedarwood.

Is Adaa a pure musk or a clean-laundry scent? Neither. White musk is a base note in it, and SOSA makes no musk soliflore and no clean-linen or laundry accord. Adaa is bright and close, and clean in a citrus-and-green way rather than a soapy one.

Who should look elsewhere than Adaa? Anyone who wants a single-note musk, a heavy enveloping musk, a laundry or soapy-clean scent, or a spray. The range does not hold those, and it is better that you know before you buy.
The short answer
Short answer: Adaa. It is the lightest of the four attars, with white musk as a base note, in an alcohol-free oil that sits close to the skin. It is not a musk soliflore, which SOSA does not make.
The pick: One 3ml of SOSA Adaa at ₹379, one dab, judged at hour three on an ordinary day. The 12ml at ₹1,149 can wait until you are sure.
Next step: If the limits below rule Adaa out, tell us what you want instead and we will say plainly whether another SOSA bottle fits. Ask for an attar recommendation.

Which SOSA Attar Should a Clean-Musk and Skin-Scent Lover Try?
Try SOSA Adaa. That is the whole verdict, and the rest of this page is the fine print that makes it trustworthy: what you are getting, what you are not, and who should look elsewhere. Five steps.

1. The verdict is Adaa. SOSA Adaa at ₹379 is the lightest of the four attars, composed with no oudh. Bergamot, green cardamom and neroli over jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang, resting on white musk, vetiver and cedarwood.

2. What you are getting. An alcohol-free roll-on oil on a sandalwood and jojoba carrier, hand-blended in Pune, in 3ml, 6ml and 12ml. SOSA states 6–8 hours on skin and nothing beyond that. A light, close, musk-based composition.

3. What you are not getting. SOSA makes no musk soliflore; white musk is a base note in Adaa, Ameeri and Nawaab. There is no clean-linen, cotton or laundry accord, no aldehydic-soapy scent, and no heavy, enveloping musk.

4. Who should look elsewhere. If you need a single-note musk, a soapy-clean scent or a heavy musk, this range is not it. If you want something crisp and fresh with a soft musk, SOSA Bahaar is a perfume oil with orchard pear and freesia.

5. How to try it. One 3ml, one dab, three ordinary days, judged at hour three. Buy the 12ml at ₹1,149 only once you have stopped reaching for anything else.

Nobody can promise you what anyone else will think of it, and I am not going to. What a fragrance can be is consistent, close and distinctive. What it does in someone else's head is theirs.
Try one 3ml of SOSA Adaa at ₹379. Light, close, white musk as a base note. No musk soliflore, no laundry accord, no heavy musk. One dab, judged at hour three.
The verdict is one 3ml of SOSA Adaa at ₹379: Calabrian bergamot, green cardamom and neroli over jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang, on white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. Alcohol-free roll-on oil on a sandalwood and jojoba carrier, hand-blended in Pune. It is a light, musk-based composition. It is not a musk soliflore, which SOSA does not make.

Four attars, and where each stands

SOSA makes four attars. All four are alcohol-free oils on a sandalwood and jojoba carrier, hand-blended in Pune, as roll-ons in 3ml, 6ml and 12ml. Only one fits a clean-musk, skin-scent taste, and the others are described here so you can see why they do not.

SOSA Adaa
The verdict, the light one with musk in the base
SOSA Adaa
₹379 for 3ml, ₹669 for 6ml, ₹1,149 for 12ml. Calabrian bergamot, green cardamom and neroli over jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang, on white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. The lightest of the four, composed with no oudh and nothing resinous. Close, bright and alcohol-free, and the only one I would put in front of a skin-scent lover.
From ₹379
SOSA Ameeri
Carries white musk, and is fuller by design
SOSA Ameeri
₹385 for 3ml, ₹679 for 6ml, ₹1,165 for 12ml. Persian saffron, pink pepper and bergamot over Taif rose and Indian sandalwood, on soft oudh, amber and white musk. SOSA's own line is that it is the scent of old money. The musk is there, but the amber and soft oudh make it a rounded, present scent, not a skin scent.
From ₹385
SOSA Mastani
Has no musk at all, so it is the one to cross off for this taste
SOSA Mastani · alcohol-free roll-on attar
₹389 for 3ml, ₹685 for 6ml, ₹1,179 for 12ml. Litchi, bergamot and pink pepper over night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose, on Mysore sandalwood, oudh, Madagascar vanilla and tonka. A deep floral-gourmand and a lovely one. Its base carries no white musk, so it cannot be a musk answer, and I would not want you to buy it as one.

What you are getting, stated plainly

A verdict is only as good as its edges. Three things to know before you buy: one about the musk, one about the word clean, and one about the format, each with the plain version.

1
One
The musk is a base note, and there is no soliflore
White musk in Adaa sits under the other notes, beside vetiver and cedarwood, with jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang above and bergamot, green cardamom and neroli on top. It is the floor, not the subject. SOSA makes no musk soliflore, and the same is true of the other two attars that carry it: Ameeri and Nawaab hold white musk beneath amber and oudh. If you are hoping for a single, plain musk, this is not it, and the honest thing is to say so before you spend anything. What you get instead is a light, musk-based composition.
Tip: If a single-note musk is the only thing you will wear, tell us and we will say plainly that SOSA does not make one.
SOSA Adaa
Adaa at ₹379 has white musk, vetiver and cedarwood in the base. It is musk-based and light, and it is not a musk soliflore, which SOSA does not make.

Two
Clean here means bright and green, not laundry or soap
People mean different things by clean. If you mean crisp and open, Adaa's bergamot, green cardamom and neroli deliver that, with neroli being orange blossom. If you mean laundry, cotton or soap, SOSA makes none of those: no clean-linen accord, no aldehydic-soapy scent. That is a real gap in the range, not a matter of emphasis. Adaa's brightness comes from citrus, spice and flowers over a woody musk base, and it will smell like that, which for some skin-scent lovers is exactly the point and for others is not what they meant.
Tip: Decide which clean you mean before you buy. If it is laundry or soap, this range is not the one.
SOSA Ameeri
Ameeri at ₹385 is not a clean scent in either sense. It is saffron, rose and amber over soft oudh, and it is listed here only so you can rule it out.
See SOSA Ameeri →
3
Three
The oil is the format a skin-scent lover wanted all along
This is the part that is a plain yes. An alcohol-free oil goes on by the dab, warms from the skin and stays close to where you put it, which is what a skin scent is trying to do. A spray works against that, throwing a cloud where you wanted a whisper. One dab is a whisper and two is a sentence, and one is the dose to begin with. SOSA states 6–8 hours on skin and nothing beyond that, and how far it carries depends on your skin, your dose and the weather. If you want a spray, none of the SOSA attars or perfume oils is one.
Tip: Start at one dab on the inside of one wrist, and judge it at hour three on an ordinary day.
SOSA Nawaab
Nawaab at ₹399 shows the format's limit: as an oil it is still the deepest of the four, oud-led from the first minute, and not a skin scent.
See SOSA Nawaab →
The SOSA principle
A recommendation that cannot say what it leaves out is only a sales line. The useful version is the one where you know the edges of the bottle before you open it, and can still decide that you want it.
Adaa is a light, musk-based oil with bright citrus and flowers above a woody musk base. It is not a plain musk, not a laundry scent and not a heavy musk. If you can live with all three of those, it is very likely your bottle.
SOSA Adaa
The verdict for this taste, on its live page: Adaa at ₹379 is bergamot, green cardamom and neroli over jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang, on white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. The lightest of the four, with no oudh in the composition.

A week with the 3ml, checked

The table is a short check on the verdict, a statement of what you are getting, set against what you should notice in a week. Same bottle, same dose, and a straight answer at the end.

The SOSA plan
What you are getting from Adaa, and what to check in a week
What you are getting, or are not The plain statement, and the check
SOSA AdaaThe musk: a base note, and not a soliflore
White musk sits under the woods and flowers. Check at hour three whether the musk is enough for you. If you wanted a plain musk, this is the moment to say so. View →
The brightness: bergamot, cardamom and neroli, not laundry
Notice the first hour. Is it crisp and open in a way you like, or were you hoping for soap or cotton? SOSA makes no scent of that kind.
The format: one dab of an alcohol-free oil on warm skin
Do you find it by lifting your wrist and not from across a table? That is the format working. If you can find it from further off, use less tomorrow.
The weight: nothing resinous, nothing dense in the base
In the heat of an afternoon, does it stay light? Adaa has no amber, oudh or vanilla. SOSA states 6–8 hours on skin and nothing beyond that.

If you are reading in order, the pages this one closes are worth a look. The clean-musk page goes into the question of what clean means, and the fresh-linen page is honest about the laundry accord the range does not hold. For the largest map of all of this, the complete taste-matching guide puts every taste against every bottle. The verdict does not change across them: SOSA Adaa is the pick, SOSA makes no musk soliflore, and the edges are stated above. If you want a person to check your case, tell us what clean means to you and we will reply.

SOSA Ameeri
Carries white musk, but not a skin scent: Ameeri at ₹385 is Persian saffron and pink pepper over Taif rose and Indian sandalwood, on soft oudh, amber and white musk. Rounded and present by design, so a second bottle rather than the first.
Told plainly whether Adaa fits your taste
Tell us what clean means to you and which skin scents you already like, and we will say whether Adaa fits, or whether to look somewhere else.

The most useful sentence on a recommendation page is the one that says what the bottle is not. Adaa is a light, musk-based oil, and not a plain musk.

SOSA makes no musk soliflore, no clean-linen, cotton or laundry accord, and no aldehydic-soapy scent. White musk is a base note in SOSA Adaa, SOSA Ameeri and SOSA Nawaab; SOSA Mastani has none. If you need a plain musk, a laundry-clean scent or a heavy, enveloping musk, this range will not give you that, and I would rather say so than let a note name mislead you. For something crisp with a soft musk, SOSA Bahaar is a perfume oil with orchard pear and freesia, from ₹599 in 10ml. Adaa is ₹379 for 3ml, ₹669 for 6ml, ₹1,149 for 12ml. SOSA states 6–8 hours on skin and nothing further; how far a scent carries depends on skin, dose, clothing and weather, and varies from person to person. Nobody can promise you what anyone else will think of it, and I am not going to. Ours is a contact page and a person who replies: Ask for an attar recommendation and tell us what clean means to you.

A note from Sonal

This page is the end of a long run of questions about musk, and I want it to be the most honest of them. A verdict that only lists what a bottle is good for is half a verdict. The other half is what it leaves out, and I would rather you read that before you buy than discover it at hour three, when the bottle is already on your wrist and the page that sold it to you was quiet about the one thing you cared about most.

So, plainly. Adaa is the lightest of the four attars I make. It is bergamot, green cardamom and neroli over jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang, on white musk, vetiver and cedarwood, with no oudh in it. It is not a musk soliflore, because I do not make one. It is not a laundry scent, because I do not make a laundry accord, nor an aldehydic-soapy one. And it is not a heavy, enveloping musk. If any of those is the thing you came for, I would send you elsewhere with a clear conscience.

If you can live with all of that, it is very likely your bottle. The format is right, the composition is light, and the way to find out is one 3ml, one dab, three ordinary days, judged at hour three. Nobody can promise you what anyone else will think of how you smell, so there is nothing riding on this beyond your own preference. A portion of every order supports Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

Is Adaa a clean musk, and in what sense?
It is clean in a bright, green way: bergamot, green cardamom and neroli over jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang, on white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. It is not clean in a laundry or soapy way, because SOSA makes no such accord, and it is not a plain musk. If bright and close is what you mean, SOSA Adaa fits. If you mean soap or cotton, it does not.
Does SOSA make a clean-linen or soapy scent?
No. SOSA makes no clean-linen, cotton or laundry accord, and no aldehydic-soapy scent. That is a real gap in the range and I would rather name it than write around it. If that is the clean you are after, this range is not it, and it is better to know before you spend anything.
Who should not buy Adaa, in all honesty?
Anyone who needs a single-note musk, a heavy enveloping musk, or a laundry-clean scent, and anyone who wants a spray. SOSA Adaa is a light, musk-based, alcohol-free oil, and it does not pretend to be more. If you are unsure which side of that line you are on, write to us and we will say honestly.
What about the Bahaar perfume oil, since it has soft musk?
SOSA Bahaar is a perfume oil with crisp orchard pear, freesia and soft musk, from ₹599 in 10ml. It is a fresh scent with a soft musk in it, not a skin scent, and it is a perfume oil rather than one of the four attars. It is a neighbour to this taste for anyone who likes crisp and fresh, and not a substitute for Adaa.
Which size should I buy first, then?
The 3ml of SOSA Adaa at ₹379. It is enough to judge the scent properly over three ordinary days at one dab. The sizes are ₹379 for 3ml, ₹669 for 6ml, ₹1,149 for 12ml. Move to the 6ml or 12ml only once you have stopped reaching for anything else, because that is when the larger bottle is a decision and not a hope.
SOSA Nawaab
The deepest of the four, for a different taste entirely: Nawaab at ₹399 is white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron and aged tobacco leaf over amber, leather and white musk. For someone who wants depth, and not the answer here.

Facts verified 17 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: SOSA makes four attars, all alcohol-free roll-on perfume oils on a sandalwood and jojoba carrier, hand-blended in Pune and sold in 3ml, 6ml and 12ml. Adaa opens on Calabrian bergamot, green cardamom and neroli, with jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang in the heart and white musk, vetiver and cedarwood in the base, from ₹379. Ameeri pairs Persian saffron, pink pepper and bergamot with Taif rose and Indian sandalwood over soft oudh, amber and white musk, from ₹385. Mastani has litchi, bergamot and pink pepper over night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose, on Mysore sandalwood, oudh, Madagascar vanilla and tonka, from ₹389. Nawaab has white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron and aged tobacco leaf over amber, leather and white musk, from ₹399. The Attar Trio of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani is from ₹1,055. Bahaar is a perfume oil with crisp orchard pear, freesia and soft musk, from ₹599 in 10ml. White musk is a base note in Adaa, Ameeri and Nawaab; SOSA makes no musk soliflore, no clean-linen or laundry accord and no aldehydic-soapy scent. Longevity is stated as 6–8 hours on skin and nothing further. Compositions are made in India to IFRA standards and are phthalate-free; the attars are alcohol-free and DPG-free, and a patch test on first use is recommended.
