Seventy-five hundred square feet is the size at which the question stops being about machines and starts being about the building. One Angaan is enough for 7,500 sq ft when the air is one connected volume; the only reason for a second machine is that the building has already divided the air in two.
Quick answers — read this first
Is one scent machine enough for a 7,500 sq ft home-appliance showroom? Yes, if the showroom is one connected volume of air. A 7,500 sq ft floor holds about 2,100 cubic metres at a three-metre ceiling and about 2,800 at four, inside one SOSA Angaan's 3,000m³ rating (Rs 25,999) - at the top of its range on the taller floor, so it goes on the air-handling plant rather than standalone. It needs two machines only when there are two volumes: a second floor with a solid floor between, or a wing on its own air-handling unit behind doors that stay shut.
How do I tell whether my 7,500 sq ft showroom is one volume or two? Follow the air, not the plan. If one air-handling unit supplies and returns the whole sales floor and you can walk the entire route without opening a door that stays shut or climbing a stair, it is one volume, whatever partitions stand on it. If part of the floor is served by a separate AHU with its own returns, sits behind fire doors, or is on another level with a solid floor between, that part is a second volume and gets its own machine, sized for its own cubic metres.
If it is two volumes, is it two Angaans? Almost never. Size each volume on its own: a 6,000 sq ft main floor is one Angaan; a 1,500 sq ft wing on its own AHU is one SOSA Vaayu (Rs 11,999), rated to 1000m³. Same register, same schedule, each level set from its own far end and locked. Two Angaans is only right when both volumes are past 1000m³. Fragrance is an interiors decision like lighting or music - SOSA makes no claim that it changes dwell time, footfall or sales.
The short answer
Short answer: one Angaan is enough for 7,500 sq ft if the floor is one connected volume - 2,100 to 2,800m³ against a 3,000m³ rating - on the air-handling plant, at the top of its range on a four-metre floor. Two machines only for two volumes, each sized for its own air. Never two in one air.
The pick: one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) for the connected floor, HVAC-connected on a duct serving the sales floor alone; one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) for a second volume under about 1000m³ - a wing or mezzanine on its own AHU. Both in the Mountain Breeze register (₹849 for the desk test), set low.
Next step: send the plan with the AHU zones and the fire doors marked and we will count the volumes with you - ask for a showroom scenting plan.
Is one scent machine enough for a 7,500 sq ft home-appliance showroom?
Yes, on one condition, and the condition is not about the machine. Take the arithmetic first. Seventy-five hundred square feet is about 697 square metres; at a three-metre ceiling that is roughly 2,100 cubic metres, at three and a half about 2,440, at four about 2,800. The SOSA Angaan is rated to 3,000m³ - the manufacturer's phrase is about 8,000-10,000 sq ft at a normal ceiling - so one Angaan covers a 7,500 sq ft floor with margin at three metres and at the top of its range at four. On the taller floor that means two things: it goes on the air-handling plant rather than standalone, because a wall-mounted unit at the edge of its rating will not reach the far corner evenly on a floor this long, and the level is judged from the furthest point at five in the afternoon with no margin for a sunlit glass front. Past about four and a half metres the volume passes 3,000m³ and the floor is a 10,000 sq ft-class volume, with the next machine up. The condition, then. One machine is enough for one connected volume of air, and a 7,500 sq ft showroom is sometimes one and sometimes two. The test is not the floor plan; it is the plant. If one air-handling unit supplies and returns the whole sales floor, and you can walk from the entrance to the furthest display without opening a door that stays shut or climbing a stair, the air is one volume however many partitions, display kitchens and changes of flooring stand on it - partitions are a height problem, solved by putting the source above them or on the duct, never a count problem. If part of the floor is served by its own AHU with its own returns, or sits behind fire doors, or is a mezzanine with a solid floor under it, that part is a second volume: the air there does not mix with the main floor's, and a machine on the main floor's plant will never reach it. Then, and only then, a second machine - and it is sized for its own cubic metres, not copied from the first. A 6,000 sq ft main floor with a 1,500 sq ft wing on its own AHU is one Angaan and one Vaayu at ₹11,999, rated to 1000m³, mounted high on the wing's supply wall with its own timer and key-lock; same register, same schedule, each level set from its own far end. Two Angaans is right only when both volumes are past 1000m³. What is never right is two machines in one volume: two sources make two gradients that overlap in a band stronger than either while both far edges stay weak, and two dials drift apart as two people fix two corners - one large vs multiple small goes through why, as does the 3,000 sq ft page. On the connected floor the Angaan connects to a duct serving the sales floor alone, confirmed by whoever maintains the plant; if the same AHU feeds the live kitchen, it does not connect, and the unit is standalone on the reception-side supply wall at the cost of some evenness. The live kitchen, the coffee counter and any running demo theatre stay unscented while they run - the schedule is cut out around every demonstration, the kitchen's extraction runs during and after, and the fragrance returns only when the floor smells of nothing. Level: the lowest setting whose trace is still faintly present at the far corner at five, set for the advisor who stands there nine hours, then locked, on a floor of steel and glass that absorbs nothing. Register: Mountain Breeze cedar and sage, or lemon-mint for a white floor, nothing edible near a hob. Fragrance is an interiors decision, like lighting or music: SOSA makes no claim that it changes footfall, dwell time, conversion or sales, no claim about what it does to any appliance or finish, and it is never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or extraction. The 5,000 sq ft page is the rung below, where one Angaan has margin at any ceiling; how to calculate scent-machine requirements is the method for counting volumes. Ask for a showroom scenting plan with the AHU zones and fire doors marked, and we will count them with you.
Yes, if it is one connected volume: 7,500 sq ft is about 2,100-2,800m³, inside one Angaan's 3,000m³ (Rs 25,999), on the plant. Two machines only for two volumes - a second floor or a wing on its own AHU - each sized for its own air, usually an Angaan plus a Vaayu (Rs 11,999). Never two in one air.
For a connected 7,500 sq ft floor, one SOSA Angaan - 3,000m³, HVAC-connected, 800ml reservoir, programmable schedules - at ₹25,999. Count the volumes before you count the machines.
The machine for a connected floor and the machine for a second, smaller volume on the same site. The images link to the product pages so every figure can be checked directly.
The connected floor - 7,500 sq ft on one AHU, 2,100-2,800m³
HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³. With margin at a three-metre ceiling; at the top of its range at four, which is why it goes on the plant rather than standalone on this floor. 800ml reservoir; metal body; programmable schedules with demo windows cut out; under 42dB. Connected to a duct serving the sales floor alone, confirmed by whoever maintains the plant. Rs 25,999.
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³ - right for the 1,000-2,500 sq ft wing that has its own air-handling unit, its own returns and a shut door or solid floor between it and the main floor. Mounted high on the wing's supply wall; same register as the Angaan; its own timer and key-lock; its own far-end level test. Never a second source in the Angaan's air. Rs 11,999.
3,000m³ on one unit - 7,500 sq ft with margin at three metres, at its ceiling at four. 800ml reservoir; metal body; programmable schedules; under 42dB. HVAC-connected on a sales-floor-only duct. One Angaan, one gradient, one schedule. Made in India, Rs 25,999.
Five things decide one machine or two, none of them the area: cubic metres, air-handling units, doors and floors, the length of the floor, the demo zones.
1
The cubic metres
With margin at three metres, at the ceiling at four
Multiply first. At three metres a 7,500 sq ft floor is about 2,100m³ and one Angaan has a third of its range in hand; at four metres it is about 2,800m³ and the Angaan is at its ceiling, which is honest but leaves nothing for a west-facing glass front, a mall door that never shuts or a fourteen-hour day. On the taller floor the answer is still one Angaan - on the plant, not standalone, with the level judged from the far corner late in the day - and never a second Angaan to make up the margin, because that puts two sources in one air. Past about four and a half metres the floor has passed 3,000m³ and belongs to the 10,000 sq ft page and the machine above the Angaan. The high-ceilings page explains why height moves the ladder a rung.
Arithmetic: 7,500 sq ft × 0.093 ≈ 697m²; × ceiling in metres. Under 3,000m³, one Angaan; over it, the next machine - not two of this one.
2
The air-handling units
One AHU, one volume - two AHUs, two
The plant room answers this question before the floor plan does. Ask whoever maintains the air-conditioning how many air-handling units serve the sales floor and which grilles each one supplies and returns. One AHU across the whole floor is one volume, and the Angaan on its supply duct - after the filters, where they tell you - reaches every grille evenly. Two AHUs serving two halves of the floor is the ambiguous case: if the halves are open to each other the air still mixes at the boundary and it is one volume with two supplies, so one Angaan on the larger unit's duct and a standalone placement is usually still honest; if the halves are divided by doors or a floor, they are two volumes. Where to place a scent machine with central AC works through the supply-and-return logic that decides the duct.
The Angaan on the sales-floor AHU is the one machine for one connected volume.
Partitions do not. Display kitchens, half-height walls, a change from stone to timber, a run of full-height fridges - these interrupt the air at head height and are crossed by putting the source above them or on the duct. What divides a volume is a solid floor between levels, a door that stays shut, or a wing behind fire doors on its own plant. A mezzanine open to the floor below is not a second volume; it is a tall room, and its air is added to the main floor's when you multiply. A mezzanine with a solid floor and its own AC is a second volume and gets its own unit, sized for its own air - usually a Vaayu. How to fragrance a two-floor experience centre is the full two-volume plan; partitions and display walls is the case for height over count.
Test: walk from the entrance to the furthest display. If you opened a door that stays shut or climbed a stair, you crossed into a second volume. If you did not, it is one.
4
The length
A long floor is a duct problem, not a count problem
A 7,500 sq ft showroom is often long and narrow - a strip of display kitchens along a mall frontage, or a converted shed with the entrance at one end. The instinct is one machine at each end, and it is wrong for the same reason it is wrong at 3,000 sq ft: two sources in one air meet in the middle in a band stronger than either. The right answer on a long floor is the plant, because every supply grille along the length becomes a source and the gradient flattens; if the Angaan must be standalone, it sits at the third-point from the far end on the wall the supply crosses, as the long, narrow showroom page sets out.
5
The demo zones
Subtracted from the map, kept out of the duct
A 7,500 sq ft showroom has a live kitchen, a coffee counter, probably a demo theatre and an AC wall with units running. None is a second volume; none gets a machine. The live kitchen and coffee counter stay unscented while they run: the Angaan's schedule is cut out around every demonstration, the kitchen's extraction runs during and after, and the Angaan never sits on a duct that supplies the kitchen - if the only AHU does, it goes standalone on the reception side instead. The demo theatre is closed and small and carries a trace from the corridor at most. Running display ACs and chimneys strip fragrance from their zone; that is correct, and the source is placed where they are not blowing, as the AC experience centre page explains.
The Vaayu is the machine for a second volume on the site - a wing or a mezzanine with its own air - never a twin on the main floor.
One machine is enough for 7,500 sq ft whenever the air is one - and when the building has split the air, the second machine is sized for its own volume, not copied from the first.
Count the AHUs, the shut doors and the solid floors; multiply each volume by its height; one machine each. Angaan for the floor, Vaayu for the wing, never two in one air.
The connected floor on one unit: SOSA Angaan, ₹25,999, 3,000m³, HVAC-connected on a sales-floor-only duct, programmable schedules.
The same 7,500 sq ft as one connected floor on one AHU, and as a 6,000 sq ft main floor with a 1,500 sq ft wing on its own plant.

The situation
What it takes
One open floor, one AHU, no shut doors - one volume
One Angaan on the sales-floor duct. At a three-metre ceiling with margin; at four, at its ceiling - still one, on the plant. View →
One open floor, two AHUs, halves open to each other
Still one volume - the air mixes at the boundary. One Angaan on the larger unit's duct, level judged at the far end of the other half.
A 6,000 sq ft main floor plus a 1,500 sq ft wing on its own AHU behind doors - two volumes
One Angaan for the main floor and one Vaayu for the wing, mounted high on the wing's supply wall. Same register, same schedule, each locked at its own far-end level. View →
A mezzanine open to the floor below
Not a second volume - a tall room. Add its air to the main floor and check the total against 3,000m³; one Angaan on the plant, or the next machine up if it passes.
The live kitchen, coffee counter and demo theatre, in every case
Nothing while they run. Not on the scented duct; own extraction; schedule cut out around every demonstration; a trace from the corridor at most in the theatre.
The rungs either side of this one: at 5,000 sq ft one Angaan has margin at any ceiling, and at 10,000 sq ft the Angaan meets its rating on a normal floor and the machine above it enters. The two-floor page is the full plan for two volumes, and what a premium appliance showroom should smell like sets the register both machines carry. SOSA makes no claim that any of this affects footfall, dwell time, conversion or sales.
For a second volume on the same site: SOSA Vaayu, ₹11,999, waterless, 1000m³ - a wing or mezzanine on its own AHU, sized for its own air.
The plant room knows how many machines you need before the floor plan does. Count the air-handling units and the shut doors; the area was never the question.

A note from Sonal
At 7,500 sq ft the question I am asked is always the one in the title, and the honest reply is a question back: how many air-handling units serve the floor, and are there any doors that stay shut? If the answer is one and none, one Angaan is enough and I will not sell you a second machine, because two sources in one air do not add reach - they add a band in the middle and two dials that drift apart. If the answer is two units behind fire doors, or a wing on its own plant, then the building has already made two volumes and each one gets its own machine, sized for its own air.
Sized for its own air is the phrase people skip. A 6,000 sq ft main floor and a 1,500 sq ft wing is one Angaan and one Vaayu, not two Angaans; the wing at a thousand cubic metres would fight a 3,000m³ machine all afternoon. Same register on both, same schedule, and each one judged from its own far corner at five and locked there. On the taller connected floor - four metres, near the Angaan's ceiling - the machine goes on the plant, not on a wall, because a long floor at the edge of a rating needs every supply grille working for it.
The demo zones are never a reason for a second machine. The live kitchen and the coffee counter share the floor's air and stay unscented while they run, which is a schedule, a duct and an extraction matter; the demo theatre is small and closed and carries a trace from the corridor at most. No claim that fragrance moves footfall, dwell time or sales, and no claim about what it does to anything on display - it is an interiors decision, like lighting or music, and never a substitute for extraction. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
Is a single SOSA Angaan enough for a 7,500 sq ft home-appliance showroom?
Yes, when the showroom is one connected volume of air. At a three-metre ceiling 7,500 sq ft is about 2,100m³ and the Angaan, rated to 3,000m³, has margin; at four metres it is about 2,800m³ and the Angaan is at its ceiling, so it goes on the air-handling plant rather than standalone and the level is judged from the far corner late in the day. Past about four and a half metres the volume passes the rating and the next machine up applies, never a second Angaan in the same air.
How do I tell whether my 7,500 sq ft showroom is one volume of air or two?
Ask the plant room, then walk the floor. One air-handling unit supplying and returning the whole sales floor, and a route from the entrance to the furthest display with no door that stays shut and no stair, is one volume, whatever partitions stand on it. A wing on its own AHU behind fire doors, or a level with a solid floor between it and the main floor, is a second volume. A mezzanine open to the floor below is not a second volume; it is a tall room whose air is added to the total.
If my 7,500 sq ft showroom has two AC zones, which machine goes in each?
Size each volume on its own cubic metres. A 6,000 sq ft main floor is one Angaan at Rs 25,999 on its AHU; a 1,500 sq ft wing on its own AHU is one Vaayu at Rs 11,999, rated to 1000m³, mounted high on the wing's supply wall with its own timer and key-lock. Same register and schedule on both, each level set from its own far end. Two Angaans is right only if both volumes are past 1000m³. If the two zones are open to each other, it is still one volume and one Angaan.
Would two Vaayus be cheaper than one Angaan for a 7,500 sq ft floor?
No, and they would not cover it. Two Vaayus at Rs 11,999 each cost about what one Angaan costs at Rs 25,999 and are rated to 2,000m³ between them against a floor of 2,100-2,800m³ - under-sized on paper, and worse in practice because two sources in one connected air make overlapping gradients and a strong band where they meet, with two dials drifting apart. One Angaan on the plant covers the floor evenly with one schedule, one reservoir and one lock.
Where should one Angaan be placed on a 7,500 sq ft showroom floor?
On the air-handling plant, connected to a duct that serves the sales floor alone, on the supply side after the filters, where whoever maintains the plant confirms. That is what makes every supply grille a source and flattens the gradient on a long floor. If the only AHU also feeds the live kitchen, the connection is not made and the Angaan is wall-mounted standalone at the third-point from the far end on the wall the supply crosses, high above the display line and away from the return and the hood.
