Founder Diaries · Home Fragrance · How Many to Buy
By Sonal Sahani · ISIPCA Versailles 9 min read Updated August 2026
Of every purchase in this range, the second Sukoon is the one people are most glad they made and the one they hesitate longest over. The answer depends entirely on one thing — whether your home has a second room with a door — and not at all on how much you like fragrance.
Quick answers — read this first
Is it worth it? Yes if you have a second enclosed room you use daily. No in a studio, where it makes the same air heavy.

What it costs: ₹1,899, including three more 15ml Hotel Collection bottles.

The alternative: if you have no second room, a ₹299 bottle is the better spend.
The short answer
Short answer: yes, if your home has a second enclosed room you spend hours in. The second Sukoon at ₹1,899 lets two rooms hold different scents at the same time, brings three more 15ml Hotel Collection bottles, and removes the daily decision of carrying one machine around. In a studio it is not worth it — one connected air mass does not want two machines.
The pick: a second Sukoon (₹1,899, total ₹3,798) if you have the room for it; a 15ml Hotel Collection bottle (₹299) or the Pack of 7 (₹1,799) if you do not.
Shop: the Sukoon and the Hotel Collection from ₹299.
Straight answer
Is it worth buying a second ultrasonic diffuser for your home?
1. Yes, if you have a second enclosed room you use daily. Fragrance does not travel through a closed door, so a second room genuinely has nothing until it has its own machine.

2. It brings three more 15ml Hotel Collection bottles. The second Sukoon at ₹1,899 doubles your fragrance wardrobe as well as your coverage — six bottles across two machines if you choose different trios.

3. It buys simultaneity. One machine holds one scent at a time. Two lets the living room and the bedroom be different things all evening, which is most of what makes a home feel designed.

4. It removes the daily decision. Two machines on timers need nothing from you. That is the single biggest reason home fragrance survives past month two.

5. No, if you live in a studio. One connected air mass plus two machines is heavier, not richer — and you cannot walk away from it, because it is also your bedroom.

A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
TL;DR: yes if you have a second enclosed room you use daily — ₹1,899, three more 15ml bottles, two scents at once, and no carrying. No if you live in a studio; buy a ₹299 bottle instead.
The second Sukoon
The purchase people regret not making
The second Sukoon ₹1,899
Almost nobody who owns two regrets the second. It is the machine that turns one good room into a home with a geography — and because it arrives with three more 15ml Hotel Collection bottles, the second purchase quietly doubles your fragrance wardrobe as well as your coverage.

The two-question test

You can settle this in under a minute without measuring anything. Two questions, and the answer only counts as yes if both come back yes.

1
QUESTION ONE
Is there a second room with a door you close?
Not a second area — a second room, behind a door that is shut for part of the day. An open living-dining is one space and a second machine in it will double the scent rather than extend it. A bedroom with the door closed at night is genuinely a separate air mass, and no amount of output from the first machine will reach it.
2
QUESTION TWO
Do you spend hours in it?
A spare room used twice a year does not need ₹1,899 of machine; it needs airing before guests arrive and perhaps a reed diffuser from ₹749. The rooms that justify a second Sukoon are the ones you are actually in — a bedroom, a home office, a living room. The test is hours, not square feet.
If both answers are yes: buy it. This is the highest-value ₹1,899 in the range and almost nobody who spends it comes back unhappy.
3
IF EITHER IS NO
Buy fragrance instead
A single-room home, or a second room you barely use, is a home where the next ₹1,899 should go on scent rather than hardware. Six 15ml Hotel Collection bottles at ₹299 is ₹1,794 — or the Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 — and in a one-machine home that changes the space far more than a second unit would. Variety is what you notice; coverage is only what you miss.

What the second one is worth

Set against the other things ₹1,899 could buy in this range, so the comparison is honest rather than rhetorical.

The second purchase, whichever it is
The SOSA principle
The second machine is worth it for the second room — never for more scent in the first.
If the room you already have does not smell right, the answer is placement or fragrance. It is never another machine in the same air.

When the answer is no

In a studio, and I would say this even if it cost me the sale. A studio is one connected air mass. Two machines in it do not create two zones; they double the output into the same air, and the result is heavy in exactly the place you sleep. If you have ₹1,899 spare and a studio, buy the Hotel Collection Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 and switch scents by time of day. That genuinely gives you two flats. A second machine gives you one louder one.

When the first room is not working yet. A surprising number of second-machine purchases are really attempts to fix a first machine that is sitting on the floor next to a plug socket. Cool mist is denser than room air and descends as it disperses, so a floor-level diffuser scents the bottom third of the room and little else. Move it to waist height on a hard surface, in the path air already takes, and give it a week. That correction is free and it solves the problem often enough to be worth trying first.

And when the second room is not really a room you use. A guest room occupied twice a year, a box room, a study nobody sits in — these are reed diffuser territory from ₹749, aired before they are needed. Machines belong in rooms with hours in them. Everything else is hardware you will be rinsing for a room nobody is standing in.

Buy the second machine for the second room. Never for more scent in the room you already have.

Honest notes for buyers: the Sukoon covers 270–320 sq ft, which is why a studio needs exactly one and a 3BHK needs three or a Vaayu instead. Ultrasonic diffusers are water-based and add a little humidity to the room, which is a benefit in an AC-dry home and a consideration in a damp coastal one; they run SOSA's own water-based Hotel Collection fragrance and nothing else, because thicker essential and carrier oils clog the 2.4MHz misting plate. The Vaayu and the HVAC systems are waterless nebulisers running undiluted oil — a different technology, not a bigger Sukoon, and the better choice for long daily runs across connected space. Fragrance layers on top of clean air; it does not replace an extractor fan, an open window or a bin that gets emptied. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Hotel Collection
More rooms, more moods
Hotel Collection from ₹299
Seven hotel-inspired water-based scents at ₹299 for 15ml, or ₹1,799 for the Pack of 7 — about ₹257 a bottle against ₹2,093 for seven singly. In a small home this is the upgrade that beats a second machine; in a large one it is what stops several rooms smelling identical.

A note from Sonal

If you look at what people actually buy second, it splits almost exactly along one line: whether their home has a door in the middle of it. Homes with a door buy a second machine and are glad. Homes without one buy a second machine and quietly find it is too much.

So I would rather ask you about your floor plan than about your budget. A studio should spend its second ₹1,899 on seven fragrances. A 1BHK should spend it on the bedroom. Both are good purchases; they are just not the same purchase, and the room decides which.

Everything is made and supported from Pune, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. You get a home that smells like somewhere you chose; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.

Frequently asked questions

Is a second ultrasonic diffuser worth it?
Yes, if you have a second enclosed room you spend hours in. At ₹1,899 the second Sukoon brings three more 15ml Hotel Collection bottles, lets two rooms hold different scents at once, and removes the daily routine of carrying one machine around.
Should I buy a second diffuser for my studio apartment?
No. A studio is one connected air mass, so a second machine doubles the output into the same air and the room becomes heavy rather than richer — and you cannot walk away from it because it is also your bedroom. Buy the Hotel Collection Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 instead.
Will a second diffuser make my home smell stronger?
It should not, and if that is why you are buying it, it is the wrong purchase. A second machine extends fragrance into a second room; it does not deepen it in the first. If the first room feels weak, move the machine to waist height in the airflow before spending anything.
What is better value — a second diffuser or more fragrances?
It depends on your floor plan. With a second enclosed room used daily, the machine at ₹1,899. Without one, the Hotel Collection Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 — about ₹257 a bottle — changes the home more than a second unit in the same air.
Do I need a diffuser in a spare room?
Usually not. A room used twice a year is better served by airing it before guests arrive and a reed diffuser from ₹749. Machines belong in rooms you spend hours in — the test is hours, not square feet.
