Every question in this family - the AC, the reception desk, the tall ceiling, the busy door, the long floor, the second storey, the partitions, the strong corner, the entrance - is the same question wearing a different room. Even fragrance across display zones is five decisions, taken once, and none of them is a second machine.
Quick answers — read this first
How do I create even fragrance across multiple appliance display zones? Count the volumes of air and give each exactly one source; mount that source at the height where the air runs unbroken - above the partition line, at supply-grille height in a tall room; put it on the wall the AC supply crosses and away from the returns, inward from the door; exclude the live kitchen, coffee counter and any running demo appliance's zone; then set the level from the far point with the team and lock it. Evenness is placement and discipline, never a machine count.
Why not simply add a machine wherever a zone is weak? Because a weak zone has a cause you can walk to - a return, a door, a partition, a running display unit, a source on the wrong wall - and a second source in the same volume of air does not remove the cause; it adds a second gradient that meets the first at a level nobody set. One connected volume takes one machine. A second machine belongs only to a second volume: another floor, or a wing walled to the ceiling with its own plant.
Which machines, and what do they cost? One SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 per volume of up to about 1000m³ - a connected floor of roughly 1,500-3,000 sq ft at an ordinary ceiling - waterless, wall or HVAC mount, timer and key-lock. One SOSA Angaan at Rs 25,999 per larger volume on one plant. Reeds at Rs 749-849 or a Sukoon at Rs 1,899 for a studio. Fragrance is an interiors decision like lighting or music - SOSA makes no claim that it changes dwell time, footfall or sales, and no claim about what it does to any appliance.
The short answer
Short answer: even fragrance across display zones comes from five decisions: one source per volume of air, mounted where the air runs unbroken, on the wall the AC supply crosses and away from the returns and the door, with the demo zones excluded, and the level set from the far point and locked. Every page in this family is one of those decisions in a particular room.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) per volume of up to about 1000m³; one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) per larger volume on a single plant; a Mountain Breeze reed (₹849) or SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) for a studio or a closed room off the floor.
Next step: send the plans of every floor with the AC grilles, the door, the partitions, the demo zones and the ceiling height marked - ask for a showroom scenting plan and we will take the five decisions with you.
How do I create even fragrance across multiple appliance display zones?
By taking five decisions in order and then resisting the urge to take a sixth. Every page in this family is one of the five in a particular room, and the reason the pillar exists is that owners meet the rooms one at a time and reach for the same wrong answer in each - a second machine, or a higher setting - when the right answer is always one of these. One: count the volumes of air, not the zones. A zone is a place on a plan; a volume is a body of air that the AC moves as one. A floor of twelve display kitchens under one plant is one volume. A second storey is a second volume, because a staircase carries people, not air. A double-height space with a gallery is one tall volume, sized by area times height, which is why high ceilings move a floor one step up the ladder. A wing walled to the ceiling on its own plant is a volume of its own. Each volume takes exactly one source, and a second source in one volume adds a second gradient rather than evenness - one large machine vs several small ones is the case in full. Two: mount where the air runs unbroken. Display kitchens and partitions are walls at the height they stand and nothing above it, so the source goes above the tallest partition line, which partition walls works through; in a tall room it goes at supply-grille height rather than the roof, where warm still air would hold it uselessly. A machine on a shelf beside the desk is the single most common cause of the complaint that opens scent at reception but not across the floor. Three: put it on the wall the supply crosses, away from the returns and the door. The AC is the distribution system; the supply carries the register across the displays and the return removes it, so the source sits with the first and away from the second - where the machine goes on a central-AC floor gives the tissue test. The entrance is one more wall the air leaves through, which is why the machine goes deeper inside and why a door that opens all day makes a threshold zone that is accepted rather than fought. On a corridor floor the position is the far third-point, from the long, narrow showroom. An HVAC mount is the alternative on a large floor, only on a duct that serves the sales floor alone, confirmed by whoever maintains the plant; SOSA gives no engineering advice. Four: exclude the demonstration. The live kitchen, the coffee counter and the zone in front of any running demo appliance - a display AC, a chimney, an air purifier - are not part of the even floor. The demonstration owns that air, the machine is off on the timer while a demo runs, and a corner stripped by a running unit is the product working, not a gradient to fix. Five: set the level from the far point and lock it. Not from the door, not from the desk, not from in front of a running unit: from the last kitchen or the specification table, at five in the afternoon, with the advisor who stands there nine hours, noticed at the first display and forgotten by the table. Then the key-lock on the SOSA Vaayu goes on, because every uneven day on a shop floor is an argument for turning it up and the lock is what refuses. When a floor is still uneven after all five, the cause is on the floor and strong in one zone, weak in another is the walk that finds it. Machines and prices: one Vaayu at ₹11,999 per volume of up to about 1000m³, waterless, wall or HVAC mount, timer and key-lock; one SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999 per larger volume on one plant; a Mountain Breeze reed or a SOSA Sukoon for a studio or a closed room, with the honest note that the Sukoon is water-based and adds a little moisture. And the frame that sits around every page in this family: fragrance is an interiors decision, like lighting or music. SOSA makes no claim that it changes dwell time, footfall, conversion or sales, no claim about what it does to any appliance or finish, and it is never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or extraction. The live kitchen and coffee counter stay unscented. Ask for a showroom scenting plan and send every floor with the grilles, the door, the partitions, the demo zones and the ceiling height marked.
Even fragrance across display zones is five decisions: one source per volume of air, mounted where the air runs unbroken, on the wall the AC supply crosses and away from the returns and the door, with the demo zones excluded, and the level set from the far point and locked. Never a second machine in one volume. Vaayu (Rs 11,999) per volume; Angaan (Rs 25,999) for the large one.
For each volume of up to about 1000m³, one SOSA Vaayu - waterless, wall or HVAC mount, timer and key-lock - at ₹11,999, placed by the five decisions above. Not one per zone.
Two machines, one per volume of air, and the reed and Sukoon for the rooms too small for either. The images link to the product pages so every figure here can be checked directly.
One per volume of up to about 1000m³ - a connected floor of roughly 1,500-3,000 sq ft
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³ on one unit, Rs 11,999. Wall or HVAC mount so the source can sit where the five decisions put it - high, on the supply wall, inward, above the partitions; adjustable intensity set from the far point and key-lock so it stays there; 1h/4h/8h/24h timer so the floor with the live kitchen switches off for demos; under 38dB; no water, no residue.
HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³ - roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft - Rs 25,999, 800ml reservoir, programmable schedules, under 42dB. Wall-mounted by the same five decisions, or connected to a duct serving the sales floor alone once whoever maintains the plant has confirmed it. One Angaan per volume, never two Vaayus in one.
1000m³ on a single unit, Rs 11,999, wall or HVAC mount, adjustable intensity, 400ml tank running 90+ days a fill, Bluetooth app with 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, key-lock, under 38dB. The mount options are what let it be placed by the air path; the lock is what keeps the level where the far point set it. CE, RoHS, SGS certified. Made in India.
Five decisions, in the order they are taken, each with the pages in this family that take it in a particular room. Take all five before buying anything, and take none of them twice.
1
Count the volumes
One source per body of air - never per zone
Walk every floor with the plant on and ask, of each part of the building, whether its air is moved as one with the part next to it. A floor of display kitchens under one plant is one volume; a second storey is another, because the stair carries almost no air between them - a two-floor experience centre is two Vaayus, same scent, own level each, or one Angaan only on a plant that serves both sales floors alone. A double-height space with a gallery around a void is one tall volume, and high ceilings shows why the sum - area times height - moves it one step up the ladder. A closed designer room off the floor is a small volume of its own and takes a Mountain Breeze reed. Then the rule the whole family is built on: each volume takes exactly one source. How to calculate scent-machine requirements is the counting method for the whole building, and one large machine vs several small ones is why several sources in one air compete rather than add.
Rule: if you can walk between two places without passing through a door or up a stair, they are one volume and one machine.
2
Mount where the air runs unbroken
Above the partition line - at grille height in a tall room
Fragrance released into still air at counter height stays near the counter, and on an appliance floor the counter is surrounded by three-sided boxes. Every display kitchen, cabinet run and partition is a wall to output released below its top edge and nothing at all to output released above it, so the source goes above the tallest partition on the floor, where the AC moves the air as one continuous body - partition walls gives the survey, which is a single measurement. In a double-height room the same logic sets a ceiling as well as a floor: the top few metres hold warm, still air that would carry the register nowhere, so the mount is at supply-grille height, not the roof. The wall bracket on the Vaayu is the feature that makes this decision available; the socket by the desk never offers it, which is the whole story of scent at reception but not across the floor.
Method: measure the tallest partition; find the supply-grille height. The bracket goes above the first and at the second.
The Vaayu wall-mounts at any height, which is the feature decisions two and three depend on.
Supply side, away from the returns, inward from the door
The AC is the distribution system and the machine is only the source. Supply grilles push conditioned air across the floor; return grilles pull it out; the door is a third opening that swaps air with the street every time it moves. So the wall is chosen by the tissue test in where the machine goes on a central-AC floor: on a wall the supply crosses, as far from the returns as the plan allows, and inward from the entrance, which entrance or deeper inside settles and constantly opening glass doors explains. On a corridor floor the wall is a long one and the position is the far third-point, from the long, narrow showroom. Where a floor is large enough for the Angaan and a duct mount is being considered, the condition never changes: only a duct that serves the sales floor alone, confirmed by whoever maintains the plant. SOSA does not touch ductwork and gives no engineering advice.
Test: a tissue under each grille with the plant on. It leans away from a supply and towards a return. The machine goes at the start of the route it shows.
4
Exclude the demonstration
The live kitchen, the coffee counter, and any running demo appliance
An even floor is even across the sales zones and deliberately absent from three places. The live kitchen and the coffee counter are unscented because the smell of what is being cooked or brewed is the product demonstration; the machine is placed so the supply does not carry a trace into them, it is switched off on the timer while a demo runs, and extraction clears the room afterwards - fragrance never covers cooking odour and returns only when the air smells of nothing. Where the machine goes with a live kitchen is the placement version. The third exclusion belongs to this vertical alone: a running display air-conditioner, chimney, range hood or air purifier moves or strips the air in its own corner, and that corner smelling of nothing is the demonstration working. Strong in one zone, weak in another includes it in the diagnosis so that nobody tries to fix it. On the merchandise: SOSA makes no claim about what fragrance does to any appliance or finish; the product fact is that a waterless machine adds no moisture and leaves no residue.
Rule: mark the kitchen, the coffee counter and every demo unit on the plan before choosing the wall. They are not zones to scent; they are zones to keep the source away from.
5
Set from the far point and lock
The level is judged where the register has furthest to travel
With the source placed, the level is set once, from the far point - the last display kitchen, the specification table, the corner behind the partition - at five in the afternoon, with the advisor who stands there nine hours a day. Never from the doorway, never from the desk beside the machine, never from in front of a running demo unit. Noticed at the first display, forgotten by the table, un-nameable at the desk, and if the team says it is too much, it is too much. Then the key-lock on the Vaayu goes on, because an appliance floor generates a fresh argument for turning it up every day - a draughty morning, a demo afternoon, an owner walking in from the street - and levels on a shop floor only ever drift upward. If the floor is still uneven after all five decisions, the cause is on the floor and the walk in strong in one zone, weak in another finds it; the answer is then to move the source, and it is never a second one.
The Vaayu holds its level under a key-lock and switches off on the timer for the demo - the two features decision five depends on.
Evenness is not a property of a machine. It is what a floor does when it has one source per volume of air, mounted where the air runs unbroken, on the wall the supply crosses, with the demonstration left out and the level set from the far point.
Count, mount, place, exclude, set and lock. Nine rooms in this family, and every one of them is one of those five.
One per volume, placed by the five decisions: SOSA Vaayu, ₹11,999, waterless, wall or HVAC mount, timer and key-lock, up to 1000m³ of connected air.
Room by room: the family, and which decision each page takes
Here are the nine rooms this family walks through, each with the decision it turns on and the page that takes it. Find your room in the left column; the right column is the short answer and where the long one lives.
For the large volume on one plant: one SOSA Angaan, ₹25,999, 3,000m³, wall-mounted by the same five decisions, or on a duct serving the sales floor alone, confirmed by whoever maintains it.
Nobody has ever made a showroom even by adding a machine. They have made it even by counting the air, finding the wall, leaving the kitchen out and locking the dial.

The SOSA even-fragrance specification
One source per volume, placed by the air path, level set from the far point
Between 750 and 1,500 sq ft a Vaayu is bought for control, no water and distribution - never for coverage. The four 100ml bottles in the Vaayu box are the supply; confirm refill availability with SOSA before you plan on it. Fragrance here is an interiors decision like lighting or music, with no claim about footfall, dwell time, conversion or sales, and no claim about what it does to any appliance or finish. It works alongside ventilation, cleaning and extraction, never instead of them. The live kitchen and coffee counter stay unscented, and a corner stripped by a running demo appliance is left alone.Ask for a showroom scenting plan and we will take the five decisions on your plans.

A note from Sonal
I wrote this family because the same conversation kept arriving in nine different rooms. The AC takes the scent away; the desk has it and the floor does not; the ceiling is six metres; the door never shuts; the floor is forty metres long; there is an upstairs; there are twelve kitchens; the laundry corner is strong and the television wall is weak; should it go by the door. Every one of those is a good question, and every one of them was being answered, before the owner reached me, with a second machine or a higher setting.
So the method is five decisions and a refusal. Count the volumes of air. Mount where the air runs unbroken. Choose the wall by the air path and away from the door. Leave the kitchen, the coffee counter and every running demo unit out. Set the level from the far point with the team at five and lock it. The refusal is the sixth: I will not put two Vaayus in one body of air, and I will not turn one up to reach a corner the air is not going to. If the floor is large, an Angaan takes the same position, and if a duct is discussed, whoever maintains the plant confirms it serves the sales floor alone. I give no engineering advice; I give the five decisions.
A closed room off the floor gets a Mountain Breeze reed and a studio gets a reed or a Sukoon, with the honest note that the Sukoon is water-based. And the frame around all nine rooms and this one: no claim that fragrance moves dwell time, footfall or sales, and no claim about what it does to anything on display. It is an interiors decision, like lighting or music, alongside ventilation and extraction, never instead of them, and the live kitchen stays unscented. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
What are the five decisions that make fragrance even across an appliance showroom?
Count the volumes of air and give each one source; mount that source where the air runs unbroken - above the partition line, at supply-grille height in a tall room; put it on the wall the AC supply crosses, away from the returns and inward from the door; exclude the live kitchen, the coffee counter and the zone of any running demo appliance; and set the level from the far point with the team, then lock it. Taken once, in that order, they are the whole method.
Does an even floor across many display zones need a scent machine in each zone?
No. Zones are places on a plan; the machine serves volumes of air, and a connected floor under one plant is one volume however many zones it is divided into. One SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 per volume of up to about 1000m³, or one SOSA Angaan at Rs 25,999 per larger volume on one plant. A second machine belongs only to a second volume - another floor, or a wing walled to the ceiling with its own air - and it carries the same scent at its own level.
If I have taken all five decisions and one zone is still weak, what then?
Walk the floor at five in the afternoon with the plant on and every demo appliance running, and find what is moving the air in the weak zone: a return grille, the door, a partition at counter height, or a running display unit stripping its own corner. The first three are fixed by moving the source - along the wall, higher, further inward - and the fourth is accepted as the demonstration working. The answer is never a second machine and never the dial.
Is the even-fragrance method different for an Angaan on ducted air-conditioning?
The decisions are the same; only the mount changes. An Angaan may be connected to a duct instead of a wall, but only a duct that serves the sales floor alone - never one shared with the live kitchen, coffee counter, demo room or office - and only after whoever maintains the plant has confirmed the duct and the access point. SOSA gives no engineering advice. Where that confirmation is not available, the Angaan wall-mounts by the same five decisions as the Vaayu.
Which single page should I read first if my showroom has more than one of these problems at once?
This one, then the page for the room that describes your floor most closely. A two-storey centre with a long ground floor and a busy door, for instance, reads the two-floor page for decision one, the long-floor page for decision three, and the busy-door page to accept the threshold - and every one of them ends at the same place: one source per volume, mounted by the air path, with the demonstration left out and the level locked from the far point.
One per volume, by the five decisions, locked: SOSA Vaayu, ₹11,999, waterless, wall or HVAC mount, timer and key-lock.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the planning advice applies to any brand.
Facts verified 7 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days a fill depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W (roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule), freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification - electrical and compliance marks. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or displays; the four 100ml bottles in the box are the supply, and refill availability should be confirmed with SOSA. The SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB; the SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) is the HVAC machine for 12,000-18,000 sq ft. The SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) is a 500ml water-based ultrasonic diffuser for a single room of roughly 270-320 sq ft. SOSA reed diffusers - Mountain Breeze (₹849 / ₹1,349) and Morning Freshness (₹749 / ₹1,249), or the two together as the Fresh & Grounded duo (₹1,548 / ₹2,548) - are alcohol-free and phthalate-free, with a 50ml bottle lasting 6-8 weeks and a 130ml bottle 14-18 weeks. Ambient fragrance in a showroom is an interior and hospitality decision: SOSA makes no claim that it changes dwell time, footfall, conversion, basket size, sales or any other business number, no claim about what it does to any appliance, surface or finish on display, and it is never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or extraction. Warranty, installation, service and bulk terms are confirmed with SOSA directly. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own original interpretations; SOSA is an independent brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel or appliance brand named for reference. Coverage, fragrance usage and running cost depend on the space, settings and hours of use, and are confirmed on a consultation. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
