Which citrus scent is more luxurious? They are luxurious in different ways. Lobby Bar is confident and modern - citrus with a peppery, amber warmth for entertaining. Warm Welcome is refined and hospitable - citrus lifted by floral and grounded in sandalwood, lovely for a reception or living room.
Why not just use a lemon air freshener? Cheap citrus air fresheners are sharp and flat and fade in minutes. A composed citrus - built with warm base notes to hold it up - reads as expensive and lasts. That is the difference between a spray and a perfumer's fragrance.
What makes citrus read as luxurious
Almost everyone likes citrus at home - it is fresh, uplifting and clean. But there is a chasm between the sharp, synthetic lemon of a supermarket spray and the polished citrus of a good hotel. The difference is composition. A cheap citrus is a single bright note that flashes and dies. A luxurious citrus is built: the bright top is held up by warmer materials underneath - amber, sandalwood, a touch of pepper or floral - so it feels rounded, expensive and lasts in the air.
SOSA makes two, because luxurious citrus is not one thing. Lobby Bar, my W Hotels-inspired scent, is citrus with black pepper and amber - bold, modern, a little bit of buzz. It is the scent I run when I want a room to feel alive and social. Warm Welcome, my Four Seasons-inspired scent, is citrus lifted by soft florals and grounded in sandalwood - gracious and hospitable, the smell of a warm reception. It is the everyday-living-room citrus. Both are water-based, so they mist cleanly through a SOSA diffuser and leave no oily residue.
Cheap citrus is a single note that vanishes. Luxury citrus is a bright top built over warm woods and amber, so it feels expensive and stays. That is the whole difference.
Choosing and running your citrus scent
Choose by the room and the moment. For a living room where you entertain, Lobby Bar in a Megh or Sukoon fills the space with confident, peppery brightness. For an everyday hall or reception, Warm Welcome is the softer, more universally liked choice. In a bright bathroom or a study, either works beautifully in a smaller Boond. A few drops in the tank on a gentle mist is all it takes - the citrus renews steadily rather than blasting and fading.
| You want | SOSA citrus scent | Character |
|---|---|---|
| Bold, social, modern | Lobby Bar (W Hotels-inspired) | Citrus + pepper + amber |
| Gracious, warm, everyday | Warm Welcome (Four Seasons-inspired) | Citrus + floral + sandalwood |
| Just a bright citrus lift | Quiet Luxury (Ritz-Carlton-inspired) | White tea + bergamot + cedar |
"Citrus fades fast, so I will just add more oil." Please do not add raw citrus oil to the tank - it is thick and can clog the misting plate. The reason SOSA's citrus lasts is the warm base notes composed under it, not the dose. Use the water-based fragrance as intended and run it on a steady, gentle mist."
To be clear and honest, both scents are hotel-inspired interpretations - my own take on the citrus style those hotels are known for, not their actual proprietary fragrances, and SOSA is not affiliated with them. What I can promise is that these are properly composed citruses, built to smell expensive and hold up in the air, at an honest price.

Versailles
I trained as a perfumer at ISIPCA in Versailles, but half the questions we get are not about scent at all - they are about the machine. Indian rooms are bone-dry from AC and winter, and most gadget diffusers are too small, too loud, or quit by midnight. So we made three: Boond (300ml, desk), Sukoon (500ml, bedroom, with a remote and mood light) and Megh (6L, whole-room), each shipping with three of our fragrances.
They are cool-mist ultrasonic diffusers - an ultrasonic plate turns water into a fine, cool mist with no heating element, so there is no boiling water or burn risk, and each has an auto shut-off when the tank runs dry.
One thing I say on every listing and will say here: use only SOSA's water-based Hotel Collection fragrance. Raw essential oils, perfumes and carrier oils are thick or solvent-heavy and can clog the misting plate and damage the unit. A few drops of our water-based fragrance in the tank mists cleanly and scents the whole room.
