Why does the same setting produce a different result? Because the machine is only half of it. The other half is the building: ceiling height, floor area, how the AC moves air, how much soft furnishing is in the room to hold fragrance and give it back, how often the front door opens, and where the unit sits relative to the supply air. None of these are exotic. They are the ordinary differences between two buildings, and together they are enough to make one setting wrong in one of them.

Look up before you compare floor plans
Two receptions of the same area can hold very different volumes
Coverage is quoted in cubic metres because that is what actually matters. A Vaayu is rated to 1000m³, which is described as roughly 2,000-3,000 sq ft precisely because the sq ft figure depends on what is above your head. A branch with a nine-foot false ceiling and a branch with a four-metre exposed soffit can have identical floor plans and behave nothing alike, and the second one will read weaker at the same setting. Double-height receptions, mezzanines and open stairwells all eat capacity. This is the difference founders miss most often, because they compare branches on a floor plan, which is the one drawing that hides it.

Account for the air, not just the room
Ducted AC, a split unit and a busy front door are three different buildings
How air moves decides how far fragrance travels and how fast it leaves. A branch on ducted central AC will carry a profile along a corridor and past closed cabins if the machine is mounted on the supply side; a branch on wall-mounted splits produces pockets instead, strong near the unit and thin at the far end. A door onto a busy street loses air constantly and needs a different setting from a sealed lobby on an upper floor. Soft furnishing matters too: heavy upholstery, curtains and rugs take up fragrance and release it slowly, so a fabric-rich branch holds a level a hard-finished one does not. None of this is fixed by buying a bigger machine.
Tip: Note the AC type on each branch sheet - ducted, cassette or split. It changes where the machine goes as much as the setting it runs at.

Match perception, then lock it
The target is what a patient meets at the door, not a number on a dial
Set each branch on its own. Walk in from outside after at least twenty minutes away, because your nose stops registering a room you have been sitting in, and choose the lowest setting at which you notice a clean room rather than a fragrance. That is the matched level, and it will be a different number in each building. Write it on the branch sheet, engage the key-lock, and set the timer to clinic hours so nobody is deciding anything daily. If a patient can identify the fragrance, it is too strong - in any branch, regardless of what the sheet says. And if a patient objects, staff reduce or switch off immediately rather than defending the setting.

The question is usually asked as a branding question and answered, by me, as a physics question. Should every branch carry the same fragrance? Yes, obviously, and I would treat any local exception the way you would treat a branch that redrew the logo. But founders then order three identical machines, set them all to the same number, and are puzzled six weeks later when one clinic is described as lovely and another as strong. Nothing went wrong with the fragrance. The buildings are different.
What you are matching is perception at the door, and perception is produced by the room as much as by the machine. Ceiling height is the biggest single variable and the one a floor plan hides. Then the air conditioning - ducted, cassette or split, each distributing completely differently. Then how often the front door opens, and how much fabric is in the reception to take up fragrance and give it back. Two branches of identical square footage can need settings two steps apart, and the branch that needs less is not doing anything wrong.
