You drive clients several times a week, you like a woody hotel-style scent, and you do not know what your passengers like. That last fact decides the answer, and it points down, not up: a lower setting, not a bolder scent.
Quick answers — read this first
What fragrance suits driving clients I do not know? A woody one, run low. Not knowing a passenger's taste is a reason for restraint, not projection: SOSA Safar in a hotel-inspired trio, lowest speed, one-hour timer, started parked before the pickup.
Can I choose a scent for my clients' taste? No, and this page does not pretend you can. You are not scenting for them. You are choosing an output low enough to sit in the background, and a control that lets you go lower or stop if anyone asks.
What is the cheaper route if I do not want a machine? A Sandalwood spray at ₹479, pressed once, parked, before the pickup. It is the same price as the hanging variant, so it is a choice of format, not a tier. Nothing to charge and nothing running unattended.
The short answer
Short answer: You cannot scent for a passenger whose taste you do not know, so scent for restraint: woody, hotel-style, the lowest speed, a timer that stops by itself and a setting you can lower if anyone asks.
The pick:SOSA Safar in a hotel-inspired trio at ₹4,499, lowest speed, one-hour timer. Cheaper and honest: a Sandalwood spray at ₹479, one press, parked.
The one thing you do not know about your passengers is the one thing this page does not guess. What is left is a scent you like, a setting low enough to stay in the background and a timer that stops the machine by itself.
The machine, the cheaper woody spray, and a way to try first
I Drive Clients Several Times a Week, Prefer Woody Hotel-Style Fragrance and Don't Know Their Scent Preferences — What Should I Use?
Buy SOSA Safar in a hotel-inspired trio, run it on the lowest of its three speeds with the one-hour timer, and start it parked before you collect anyone. If that is more than you want to spend, a Sandalwood spray is the cheaper route, and the reasons follow.
1. You are not scenting for them. You do not know what your clients like, and no fragrance can be chosen for a taste you cannot see. What you can choose is the cabin: an output low enough to sit in the background, and a way to lower it or stop it if a passenger ever asks.
2. Unknown preference argues for restraint, not projection. Projection is a bet that the scent you like is the one your passenger would pick. Restraint needs no bet. A low setting is the only one that does not depend on a guess about who is sitting in the car.
3. Woody and hotel-style is your taste, and a sound one to run low. The hotel-inspired trios are ₹4,499, and the product page shows all three. Read what it says about each and choose the one that reads woodiest to you. I will not say how a scent will read to anyone else.
4. Several times a week means the days in between count. On a day with no client the car is yours, and a machine with a timer stops by itself. A hanging freshener releases on every day, whoever is in the car, and has no lower setting to go to.
5. A Sandalwood spray is the honest cheaper route. At ₹479, one press, parked, before the pickup, it gives you the woody direction with nothing to charge. What it cannot do is step down: a press is a press. The control is what the machine costs more for.
Safar, a hotel-inspired trio, lowest speed, one-hour timer, started parked before the pickup. Cheaper and honest: a Sandalwood spray, one press. Restraint is the answer to not knowing, and a control is what it buys.
What to buy for these client days
The product
SOSA Safar in a hotel-inspired trio, at ₹4,499. The product page shows all three; choose the trio that reads woodiest to you
The setting to start on
The lowest of its three speeds, and it stays there. Step down or stop if anyone asks; there is no reason to go up on a client day
The timer
The one-hour timer, started parked before each pickup, so the machine stops by itself after the journey
Where it goes
Your own cup-holder, beside you, not beside the passenger seat. Not the vent
Keeping it going
Type-C recharge, up to ten hours continuous or thirty intermittent per charge. A 100 g refill at ₹1,049 tops up the small bottle
I would put restraint first, because not knowing is the one thing I cannot fix with a better scent. The machine is what lets you stay low and still go lower. If that is more than you want to spend, a Sandalwood spray is the honest cheaper answer.
SOSA Safar in a hotel-inspired trio at ₹4,499 is the answer I would give you: three speed settings, a one, two or three-hour auto-off timer, cordless on a 2000 mAh Type-C battery, up to ten hours continuous or thirty intermittent per charge. About 6.9 cm, so it sits in the cup-holder. Cold diffusion of pure undiluted oil: no water, no heat, no residue. Aroma only; it does not humidify.
Two products fit this reader, and they answer different questions. One is for someone who wants a low setting to hold, a way to go lower and a timer that ends the output by itself. The other is for someone content to press once before a pickup. Neither is sized to a cabin, because SOSA publishes no cabin figure for Safar.
₹3,999 for SOSA naturals trio, ₹4,499 for hotel-inspired trio. Three speed settings from light to intense and a one, two or three-hour auto-off timer. Cordless, 2000 mAh Type-C, up to ten hours continuous or thirty intermittent per charge. Cold diffusion of pure undiluted oil: no water, no heat, no residue. About 6.9 cm, for the cup-holder. Aroma only; it does not humidify.
₹479 for hanging 12 ml, ₹479 for car perfume spray, ₹1,499 for 50 ml car perfume spray. One product, three variants: a 12 ml Hanging (Mild scent-throw), a Spray (Strong scent-throw) and a 50 ml car perfume spray. For this reader the spray is the one to consider, because it only releases when you press it. It is the same price as the hanging variant: a choice of format, not a step up.
₹1,049 for 100 g, ₹1,849 for 300 g. Pure, undiluted, water-free oil for cold-air nebulisers, in sixteen scents: seven hotel-inspired and nine SOSA naturals. Sold in 100 g and 300 g, compatible with Safar and Vaayu. Safar's box already holds a 20 ml bottle, so nothing here needs buying on day one; the small bottle is topped up from a 100 g refill.
The taste of your passengers goes on the first two cards, the pattern of your week on the third. None of it needs a measurement, and SOSA publishes no cabin figure for Safar, so none is given.

One
Hotel-style and woody: a taste for you, not a forecast for them
A hotel-inspired trio is a scent direction, not a statement about how it will be taken by anyone else. The hotel-inspired trios for Safar are ₹4,499, and the product page shows all three, so read what it says about each and choose the one that reads woodiest to you; I would not guess that on your behalf. Woody has a cheaper route into the range as well, Vetiver and Sandalwood, if you would like to confirm your taste before buying a machine. What the phrase hotel-inspired cannot do is answer the question you actually have. That is answered by how much of the scent there is, not by which one it is.
Tip: Read what the page says against a scent you already know you like, not against a lobby you remember.
SOSA Safar at ₹4,499 in a hotel-inspired trio: three speeds, a one, two or three-hour timer, cordless. The trio is your taste; the lowest speed is the restraint.
Unknown preference: restraint is the answer, projection is a bet
Projection means choosing a scent and a strength because you like them, and hoping. Restraint means choosing the lowest setting that still lets you enjoy the cabin yourself, and being ready to go lower. You do not need to know anything about the person in the passenger seat for restraint to be right, which is why it is the only strategy that survives not knowing. The commercial point, since this is a purchase: restraint is what a control buys you. A freshener with no setting can only be taken off the mirror. Three speeds and a timer let you hold the low end and still step below it, at the next stop, parked.
Tip: Decide your ceiling before the first client day, and make it the lowest speed, so the decision is already made when someone is waiting at the kerb.
SOSA Sandalwood Car Freshener at ₹479, in the format labelled Spray (Strong scent-throw). Press once, parked, before the pickup: the restrained version of a spray.
Several times a week: the days between clients count too
A car that carries clients on some days and only you on others has two kinds of day, and a format has to handle both. A hanging unit releases on every one of them, and its output is not a setting. A spray appears only when you decide. Safar runs while it is on and stops when its timer ends, so a day with no client can be run at whatever speed you like, or not at all, and a client day starts at the bottom. If anything in the cabin smells before fragrance is added, find the source and let air through first, parked. Fragrance does not remove a smell.
Tip: Start the timer parked, before the pickup, not after the passenger is in the car. The aim is to arrive at a setting, not to adjust one in front of someone.
SOSA Waterless Nebuliser Refills is ₹1,049 for 100 g, ₹1,849 for 300 g. Top Safar's small bottle up from a 100 g refill when it needs it; nothing needs buying on day one.
Not knowing what a passenger prefers is not a reason to want a stronger or a bolder scent. It is a reason to want a lower one, and a way to go lower still.
Which is why the useful question is never how far the scent reaches. It is how low you can run it, and whether you can stop it the moment anyone asks.
Woody and hotel-style, honestly
Woody and hotel-style is a direction I can describe from the product names and no further. For Safar, the hotel-inspired trios; for a woody spray, Sandalwood or Vetiver. Sea Breeze and Icy Mint are the fresh alternatives if you ever want to move off woody. The table sets what you do not know beside what the cabin does about it.
The SOSA plan for client days
Each thing you do not know, beside what the cabin does about it
What you do not know about your passengers
What the cabin does about it, and what to buy
What they like: woody, floral, citrus or nothing
Nothing to guess. Run your own taste, woody and hotel-style, low enough to sit in the background. The trio is chosen for you; the amount is chosen with them in mind.
How much fragrance in a cabin is too much for them
Unknown, so start at the bottom of three speeds and stay there: Safar, a hotel-inspired trio, lowest speed, one-hour timer, started parked before the pickup. View →
Whether anyone will ask for it lower, or off
Plan for the question rather than the answer. Step down at the next stop, parked, or let the timer end. A spray has no lower setting, only fewer presses beforehand.
How often there will be a passenger at all
Several times a week, so the days between count: the timer stops Safar by itself, and a hanging unit would run on every one. Unsure of the scent? Try three sprays first. View →
Whether a cheaper route is enough
For some readers, yes: a Sandalwood spray at ₹479, one press, parked, before the pickup. What you give up is the setting you can step down. View →
Safar or a Sandalwood spray: the fork in this answer
Client days with tastes unknown point to one of two places: the machine you can lower and stop, or one Sandalwood spray pressed once, parked. These buttons are those two.
You are not scenting for a person you cannot ask. You are choosing how much of a scent you like the cabin holds, and whether you can lower it the moment someone does ask.

The SOSA specification for client days
Three rows: the machine for restraint with a control, the spray for simplicity, the set for trying first. Each is the honest answer to a different version of the question, and none is sized to a cabin, because SOSA publishes no cabin figure for Safar.
The SOSA specification, for a woody hotel-style taste
What each one is for, and what each leaves to you to do
Client journeys several times a week that you want to run low
₹3,999 for SOSA naturals trio. Three speeds and a one, two or three-hour timer. Cordless, 2000 mAh Type-C. A hotel-inspired trio for you. Lowest speed, started parked. No cabin figure is published, so none is given
One press before a pickup, nothing to charge, a woody direction
₹479 for hanging 12 ml. Spray (Strong scent-throw): press lightly, parked. The same price as the hanging variant on every scent, so it is a format, not a tier
Start with the setting, not the strength. If something in the cabin smells before any fragrance is added, find the source first, let air through with the doors open, parked, and only then choose a fragrance; fragrance does not remove a smell. If the cabin is clear, Safar is ₹3,999 for SOSA naturals trio, ₹4,499 for hotel-inspired trio and what you are buying is control, not reach, because SOSA publishes no cabin figure for it and nobody should give you one. It is aroma only and does not humidify; it does not dehumidify, dry a cabin or do anything about damp either, and no SOSA product does. A Sandalwood spray is ₹479, the discovery set of three is from ₹699, and a spray and a hanging variant are the same price on every scent. SOSA is not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer and makes no health, wellbeing or driving-related claim of any kind, and nothing on this page says how any passenger will respond. Settings are changed parked. Ours is a contact page and a person who replies: Ask for a car fragrance recommendation.

A note from Sonal
When someone tells me they drive clients and do not know what those clients like, the first thing I want to say is that nobody can fix that with a better scent. You could spend a month choosing and still not know. What I can help with is the one variable that is yours: how much of the scent is in the cabin, and whether you can change it. So I have answered with a setting rather than a verdict on taste.
I want to be honest about what the machine adds over a spray. A Sandalwood spray at ₹479 does the scent perfectly well, and for someone who will press it once before each pickup and be content, it is what I would tell them to buy. What Safar adds is a lowest speed to hold, a timer that stops it by itself and a way to go lower at a stop. Several client journeys a week is enough for that to matter. Two a month probably is not, and I say so on the page for the two days in a month.
Safar has no published figure for how far it reaches and I am not going to improvise one, which is also why I will not tell you what a setting does to a cabin of any size. Hotel-inspired is a direction in the product's name, and I would not read more into it than the product page itself says. Aroma only; it does not humidify. A portion of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
What if a passenger asks me to turn it off?
Then you turn it off at the next stop, parked. That is the reason to pay for a control: the answer to a request to lower it is yes, and it takes a moment, rather than no, it is hanging there. A spray has no equivalent, and a hanging unit has to be taken down. Safar's timer also ends it by itself if you leave it. Change it parked, with the handbrake on, never while the vehicle is moving.
Is the lowest speed enough for a hotel-style scent?
I cannot give you a figure for what any speed does in a cabin, because SOSA publishes none for Safar. What I can say is to start at the lowest, give it a few days on your own journeys, and move up a step only if you cannot find the scent at all. That step is a decision about your own cabin, it can be reversed, and it is made parked.
Can I just buy the Sandalwood spray instead of Safar?
Yes, and for some drivers it is the right answer. It is labelled Spray (Strong scent-throw), so you press lightly, parked, before the pickup. What you give up is a setting that moves and a timer that stops itself. The spray is the same price as the hanging variant, so it is a format, not a tier.
Which hotel-inspired trio is the woody one?
I cannot promise how a scent will read to your nose. The product page shows each of the three hotel-inspired trios, and that is the place to read about them. If woody is the hard requirement, the SOSA-naturals trio names Vetiver and Mysore Sandalwood outright, at ₹3,999. It also names Tobacco Vanilla, which is worth checking against your taste.
Should Safar stay in the car between client days?
It is cordless, 6.9 cm, and fits a cup-holder or a handbag, so it can come with you. The timer stops it by itself, so it is not running into an empty car. SOSA publishes no figure for how it behaves in a parked car and I will not invent one. If the cabin smells before any fragrance is added, find the source first.
Client days, passenger tastes unknown
SOSA — Your Client Daysa low setting, a woody hotel-style scent, a timer that stops itself, and a spray as the honest cheaper answer
SOSA Safar in a hotel-inspired trio at ₹4,499 has three speeds and a one, two or three-hour timer, for a scent you can run low and go below. A Sandalwood spray at ₹479 is the honest cheaper option, pressed once, parked. Cold diffusion of pure undiluted oil, no water and no heat. Safar is aroma only. A portion of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Facts verified 1 October 2026 against the live SOSA product pages:SOSA Safar is a cordless waterless car perfume diffuser from ₹3,999, rising to ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios. It has three speed settings and a one, two or three-hour auto-off timer, runs up to ten hours continuous or thirty hours intermittent on its 2000 mAh Type-C battery, is 6.9 cm tall, and cold-diffuses pure undiluted oil with no water, no heat and no residue. In the box: the diffuser, a 20 ml bottle, a Type-C cable and a manual. SOSA publishes no coverage figure for Safar, so this page states none and sizes it to no cabin. Safar is aroma only and does not humidify; equally it does not dehumidify, dry a cabin or fix damp. Waterless nebuliser refills are ₹1,049 for 100 g, ₹1,849 for 300 g, in sixteen scents, shared with the SOSA Vaayu. The hanging fresheners and car perfume sprays run from ₹449 to ₹509, each one product with a mild-throw hanging variant, a stronger spray variant and a 50 ml spray; 15 ml hanging refills are ₹399 for 15 ml, Lemon or Jasmine, ₹429 for 15 ml, Sandalwood, Lavender or Icy Mint, ₹449 for 15 ml, Sea Breeze, Vetiver or Oud, Mysore Orange Blossom is ₹549 for 10 ml, ₹1,499 for 50 ml, and the discovery set of three is ₹699 for pack of 3 to ₹799.
