A sales gallery is the most expensive room a developer will ever furnish, and scent is the finish most teams forget - so here is the whole plan in one page: work out the air volume, put a Vaayu on it, add an Angaan only if the space is genuinely too big for one, and run the same fragrance everywhere.
Quick answers — read this first
How do I plan scenting for a real estate sales gallery? Size it by air volume, not by room count. One SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is rated to 1000m³, which is roughly 2,000-3,000 sq ft, so a typical gallery needs one machine at the entrance-to-lounge run and a second only if the gallery is larger than that or split across levels. Give the sample flat its own Vaayu on a lower setting. If a single volume is double height or 8,000-10,000 sq ft, that is a SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the HVAC instead.

How many scent machines does a sales gallery need? Fewer than most developers budget for. Multiply length by width by height for each open volume, then divide by 1000m³. A 2,800 sq ft gallery at a normal ceiling height is one Vaayu. A 5,000 sq ft gallery, or one split over two levels, is two. A double-height experience centre is one Angaan rather than several small machines.

Should the sales gallery and the sample flat smell the same? Yes - the same fragrance, at a lower intensity in the flat. Order the same hotel-inspired scent for every Vaayu on site and turn the sample flat down a step. A home that smells strongly perfumed reads as staged; the same scent, softer, reads as lived in.
The short answer
Short answer: size by air volume - one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) covers up to 1000m³, about 2,000-3,000 sq ft, so most galleries need one machine plus a second for the sample flat; a double-height experience centre of 8,000-10,000 sq ft needs the SOSA Angaan (₹25,999).
The pick: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) for the gallery and the sample flat, stepping up to the SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) only when a single volume is double height or 8,000-10,000 sq ft.

Two machines cover a sales gallery: the Vaayu for normal-height zones and the sample flat, the Angaan when a single volume is too big or too tall for one Vaayu. The count comes from air volume, not from how many rooms there are.

Straight answer
How do I plan the scenting for a luxury sales gallery from scratch?
Start with volume, not rooms. Measure each open space - length by width by height - and work in cubic metres, because sales galleries love a tall ceiling and that is where floor-area rules of thumb collapse. One SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is rated to 1000m³, which is roughly 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft at a normal ceiling height, so a typical gallery is a single machine placed on the entrance-to-lounge air path, not a machine per room. Add a second Vaayu when the gallery runs beyond that, when it is split across two levels, or for the sample flat, which should carry the same fragrance a step softer. Where a single volume is double height, or an experience centre runs to 8,000-10,000 sq ft, stop stacking small machines and use one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the building's HVAC, which carries scent on the airflow you already have. Both machines are waterless, so there is no damp and no residue on a scale model or veneer; both run under the noise of the air-conditioning; and the Vaayu app lets you start 45 minutes before the first site visit and stop at closing. One honest caveat: cure and ventilate fresh paint and adhesive before you scent anything. A free scenting plan will do the volume maths from your drawings, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Measure the air volume, divide by 1000m³, and that is your Vaayu count. Only a double-height or 8,000-10,000 sq ft volume needs the Angaan instead.
For almost every sales gallery the answer is one SOSA Vaayu - waterless, under 38dB, rated to 1000m³ (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft), with a 400ml tank that runs up to 75 days and a Bluetooth app timer you can set to your site-visit calendar. Add a second for the sample flat. Step up to the Angaan only if a single volume is double height.

How to work out how many machines your gallery needs

Three numbers decide the plan: the air volume of each open space, the number of separately air-conditioned volumes, and the time the machine gets to run before the first buyer walks in.

1
Measure the air, not the floor
Length times width times height, in cubic metres
Galleries are built tall on purpose, and that is exactly why floor-area rules mislead. A 2,000 sq ft hall at 20 ft holds roughly the same air as a 4,000 sq ft floor at 10 ft. Work in cubic metres and divide by 1000 to get your Vaayu count. Most galleries come out at one. If your number lands above three, you are no longer in Vaayu territory and the answer is one bigger machine, not four small ones.
Tip: one Vaayu per 1000m³ of connected air - round down, then check the far corner.
SOSA Vaayu
The Vaayu is rated to 1000m³, about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. That single number does most of the planning for you.

2
Count air-conditioned volumes
Scent travels with air, so separate AC means a separate machine
Two spaces on the same floor plan can still be two problems if they are on separate air handling. An open gallery where the reception, lounge and model display share one AC loop is one volume and one machine. A sample flat with its own split units is a separate volume and needs its own. If the whole gallery is on central HVAC, the cleanest answer is often to stop counting rooms altogether and put an Angaan on the duct.
SOSA Angaan
When everything is on one central system, the Angaan uses that airflow to scent up to 3,000m³ evenly rather than fighting it.
See SOSA Angaan →
3
Run it before they arrive
Give the fragrance 30 to 45 minutes to settle
Scent switched on as a family walks through the door is obvious, and obvious is the opposite of luxurious. Schedule the machine to start 30 to 45 minutes before the first appointment so the fragrance has diffused and dropped to a settled level. On heavy site-visit days run a lower intensity continuously instead of a strong burst before each slot - it uses less oil and reads far better.
Tip: set the app timer to the site-visit calendar, not to office hours.
SOSA Vaayu
The Vaayu app handles 1h, 4h, 8h and 24h schedules with adjustable intensity, so the sales team never has to think about it.

The SOSA principle
Most sales galleries are over-specified, not under-specified. Four small machines in four rooms smell like four different rooms - one machine sized to the air smells like one considered building.
The question is never how many rooms you have. It is how many separately moving bodies of air you have.
SOSA Angaan
When one Vaayu is not enough: SOSA Angaan connects to your HVAC and scents up to 3,000m³ - about 8,000-10,000 sq ft - which is the honest answer for a double-height experience centre, ₹25,999.

Vaayu or Angaan - which one your gallery needs

Here is the whole decision in one table. If your gallery is a normal-height open floor, it is a Vaayu. If it is a tall or very large single volume, it is an Angaan. There is no third answer worth your time.

The SOSA plan
Sales gallery sizing - one table, two answers
Your space What it needs
SOSA VaayuA gallery up to about 3,000 sq ft at normal ceiling height
One SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) on the entrance-to-lounge air path. Rated to 1000m³. View →
SOSA VaayuA gallery of 3,000-6,000 sq ft, or split across two levels
Two Vaayu, one per connected volume, both running the same fragrance. View →
SOSA VaayuA sample flat or show apartment
Its own Vaayu, same scent, one intensity step softer than the gallery. View →
SOSA AngaanA double-height hall or an 8,000-10,000 sq ft experience centre
One SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the HVAC - 3,000m³ on the building's own airflow. View →

On the fragrance itself, pick one and use it everywhere. The Vaayu is ordered with a set of hotel-inspired fragrances, and the sensible move is to choose a single clean profile - white tea, light woods, soft citrus - and order the same set for every machine on site, including the sample flat. Air-conditioned galleries flatten sweetness and amplify anything heavy, which is why the restrained profiles hold up all day and the dessert-like ones turn cloying by the third viewing. If you are still working out coverage bands across other formats, our floor-size guide to commercial diffusers covers the sizing maths in general.

The SOSA sales gallery specification

Two machines, one decision. The Vaayu handles a normal-height gallery and the sample flat; the Angaan takes over when a single volume is too tall or too large for one Vaayu to do honestly. Both are waterless, so there is no damp and no residue on models, veneers or fabric, and both are made in India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

A quick word on choosing: the count comes from air volume, not from room count or budget. Four small machines scattered through a gallery will smell like four rooms; one machine sized to the connected air smells like one building. One honest note - fragrance works alongside curing, ventilation and cleaning during fit-out, and cannot cover fresh paint or adhesive. The quickest way to get the specification right is a free scenting plan from your drawings.

A note from Sonal

A buyer walking into a sales gallery is about to make the most expensive decision of their life, and they are reading every signal in the room - the light, the sound, the temperature and, whether they name it or not, the smell. A gallery that smells of fresh paint, new carpet adhesive and cold air reads as a construction site with furniture in it. A gallery that smells clean and quietly expensive reads as the home you are selling.

My advice is simpler than most people expect: do not buy a machine per room. Work out the air volume of each open space and let one Vaayu do as much of it as it honestly can - it is rated to 1000m³, which is roughly 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft, so most galleries need one, and larger or split-level ones need two. The only time I recommend stepping up is when a single volume is genuinely too big or too tall for that, and then it is an Angaan on the HVAC, not four small units fighting each other.

And the honest part, which I say to every developer: fragrance cannot cover a construction smell. Paint, adhesive, new PVC and damp need curing, ventilation and time. Scent layered on top gives you both smells at once, which is worse than either. Air the space out properly, then let the fragrance do the quiet work. Everything is made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

How many scent machines does a luxury sales gallery need?
Usually one, sometimes two. Work out the air volume of each connected space by multiplying length, width and height, then divide by 1000 cubic metres, which is what one SOSA Vaayu (Rs 11,999) covers, roughly 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft. A typical gallery comes out at one machine, with a second for a split level or for the sample flat. A double-height hall or an 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft experience centre is one SOSA Angaan (Rs 25,999) instead.
Should a sales office and a sample flat use the same fragrance?
Yes, the same fragrance at a lower intensity in the flat. Order the same hotel-inspired scent for every Vaayu on site and turn the sample apartment down one step. A home that smells strongly perfumed reads as staged; the same scent, softer, reads as lived in.
Where should the scent machine be placed in a sales gallery?
On the air path rather than in a corner: near the entrance airflow or beside the air-conditioning return, out of reach of buyers and children. The Vaayu can stand freestanding, be wall mounted, or be mounted to the HVAC. In a double-height hall, place it where the air is genuinely moving, which is rarely the geometric centre of the room.
How long before a site visit should the machine run?
About 30 to 45 minutes. That lets the fragrance diffuse evenly and settle, so it reads as the smell of the building rather than something just switched on. The Vaayu app schedules 1, 4, 8 and 24 hour runs with adjustable intensity, so you can match it to the site-visit calendar and forget about it.
Will fragrance hide the smell of fresh paint in a new sample flat?
No, and it should not be asked to. Paint, adhesive, new PVC and damp need curing, ventilation and time. Fragrance layered on top gives you both smells at once, which is worse than either. Air the flat out properly first, then scent the clean space.
