Before you judge whether a roll-on is good value, it helps to know how long one bottle should realistically last. Spoiler: longer than most people expect - which is exactly what makes a small size such good economics.
Quick answers — read this first
How long should a 3ML roll-on last? For daily wear, roughly two to three months. A dab is tiny, so 3ML stretches to 60-100 wears depending on how much you apply.
And a 12ML? Most of a year for one person on daily wear - it is the value size precisely because it lasts so long per rupee.
How do I make a bottle last longer? Apply to moisturised pulse points, use two or three spots, and resist over-dabbing. A concentrated oil does not need much to perform.
The short answer
Short answer: A 3ML roll-on should last roughly two to three months of daily wear (about 60-100 dabs); a 6ML around four to six months; a 12ML most of a year for one person. Because a dab of concentrated oil is so small, even the pocket size stretches far - which is what makes cost-per-wear so low. Apply to moisturised pulse points and don't over-dab to get the full life from a bottle.

Straight answer
How long should a bottle of roll-on perfume last?
Expect months, not weeks. A 3ML gives roughly 60-100 dabs - two to three months of daily wear for most people. A concentrated oil simply needs very little per use.
Scale up for a signature. If you wear one scent daily, a 6ML (four to six months) or 12ML (most of a year) is more economical - fewer re-orders, lower cost-per-wear.
Protect the life of it. Store away from heat and sunlight, apply to moisturised pulse points, and use a light hand. Over-application drains a bottle without meaningfully improving performance.
Made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
A 3ML lasts most people two to three months of daily wear; a 12ML most of a year. Concentrated oil goes a long way, which is why even the small size is such good value.
Why a small bottle lasts so long
1
A dab is efficient
3ML is more wear than it looks
SOSA Attar Trio · pack of 3₹1,055 A roll-on lays down a thin film of oil - you are using microlitres, not millilitres, per wear. That is why a 3ML that looks tiny on the shelf quietly covers two to three months of daily wear. The format is inherently efficient, and efficiency is value.
Tip: One pass over each pulse point is enough. If you find yourself re-dabbing immediately, moisturise first - dry skin drinks fragrance.
2
Size for your habit
Match the bottle to how often you wear it
SOSA Nawaab · White Oud & SaffronFrom ₹399 An occasional-wear scent is fine in a 3ML - it will last you many months. A daily signature deserves the 12ML, because you will get through it and the larger size costs less per wear. Buying the right size for your habit is the simplest way to lower your cost-per-wear.
Tip: Rotating scents? The 3ML trio at ₹1,055 spreads three bottles across your week, so each lasts even longer.
Maximum longevity & projection SOSA Nawaab From ₹399 Nawaab (White Oud & Saffron) is the powerhouse of the range - a deep, resinous oud-saffron base that holds on skin for hours and projects for the first stretch of an evening. If longevity and presence are your priority, start here. Sizes 3ML (₹399), 6ML (₹699), 12ML (₹1,199). See Nawaab →

The SOSA principle
People underestimate a small bottle because they are used to spraying. Switch to dabbing and 3ML suddenly lasts a season.
Longevity of the bottle - not just of the scent on skin - is a quiet part of the value story.
Fresh, subtle & office-friendly SOSA Adaa From ₹379 Adaa (Bergamot + Cardamom + Jasmine Sambac) is the daytime-grace choice - clean, fresh, and sitting close to the skin, so it lasts without filling a shared room. The right pick for AC offices, hot-humid days and anyone who prefers a quiet signature. Sizes 3ML (₹379), 6ML (₹669), 12ML (₹1,149). See Adaa →
Does an oil expire?
A well-made attar keeps for a long time - typically a couple of years or more - if you store it away from heat, sunlight and air. The roll-on cap seals well, which helps. You will usually finish a 3ML long before it ages.
If a scent ever smells sharp, sour or 'off', that is your cue to retire it. But for the sizes we sell and the pace most people wear them, longevity of the liquid is rarely the limiting factor - you enjoy it to the last dab.
I have customers still finishing a 6ML I sold them last winter. That is not a small bottle underperforming - that is concentration doing its job.

How to read this box: attars are concentrated perfume oils, so as a family they wear
longer and closer to the skin than alcohol sprays - you trade some room-filling projection for longevity and a refined, intimate trail. For the most presence,
Nawaab (oud & saffron) projects hardest and lasts longest; for a clean daytime signature that won't overwhelm a shared cabin,
Adaa is the pick. Every attar comes as a 3ML pocket roll-on (from ₹379) that's effortless to reapply, plus 6ML and 12ML. Scent behaves differently on every person and in every climate, so give it ten minutes on your skin before you judge it, and layer on pulse points for more strength. Everything is made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Why a roll-on oil Long wear, easy reapply From ₹379 An attar is concentrated perfume oil: it wears longer and closer to the skin than an alcohol spray, and the roll-on format is spill-proof and pocketable - the 3ML slips into a bag for touch-ups. Oils lean toward longevity and intimacy over big room-filling projection; for maximum projection, layer or choose the deeper Nawaab. Shop the range →

Frequently asked questions
Is a 3ML too small to bother with?
Not at all - it lasts most people two to three months of daily wear because a dab of concentrated oil is so small. It is the perfect size to try a scent or to carry for touch-ups.
Should I buy the biggest size to save money?
Only if you will wear that scent often. The 12ML has the lowest cost-per-wear, so it is ideal for a signature - but for occasional or trial wear, a 3ML that lasts months is the smarter spend.
How do I stop a bottle running out fast?
Apply to moisturised pulse points, use two or three spots, store it cool and dark, and go easy - concentrated oil performs on a light touch, so over-dabbing just wastes it.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Fragrance performance - longevity, projection and sillage - depends on the perfume, but also on your skin type, body chemistry, the weather and how much you apply, so descriptions here are honest guidance, not guarantees. Attars are concentrated perfume oils: they generally wear longer and closer to the skin than alcohol-based EDPs, trading some projection for longevity and intimacy. Always test on skin and give a fragrance ten minutes to settle before judging it; patch-test if you have sensitive skin, and keep oils away from the eyes.
