It is stronger on demand and identical in quality, which is exactly why they cost the same. SOSA labels the hanging 12ml as mild scent-throw and the 10ml spray as strong scent-throw, and both descriptions are accurate, but they describe delivery rather than the oil. The hanging bottle releases continuously and gently through the cabin's own air movement, so it produces a low steady level for four to six weeks. The spray delivers a concentrated dose in one moment, which is why one spray in a sedan is usually enough and why timing matters so much. Does a hanging bottle look unprofessional in a car used for clients?
It depends entirely on the bottle and the placement, and the safety rule settles most of it anyway. SOSA's hanging car perfume is a small refillable glass bottle rather than a printed cardboard tree, so it reads closer to an object than to an accessory. What matters more is that it must be small, secure and out of the driver's sightline, and it must never obstruct the view of the road - that is not an aesthetic point, it is the non-negotiable one. It should also not be in direct contact with leather, fabric or the dashboard. Can I keep a spray in the car all the time, including in summer?
Yes. SOSA's car sprays are alcohol-free, on an oil and water-based carrier rather than ethanol, and SOSA states this means no flammability risk on a hot dashboard and no alcohol burn on spraying. That said, common sense still applies to any bottle in a parked car in an Indian summer: a door pocket, the glovebox or the centre console is a better home than the top of the dashboard in direct sun, which is also where SOSA tells you to keep the Safar out of. The bigger seasonal point runs the other way: in winter, with the windows closed and the heater on, a closed cabin has almost no air exchange and the same spray reads stronger, so use fewer sprays rather than more.
How long does each format actually last?
The hanging 12ml bottle lasts four to six weeks, which is 28 to 42 days of continuous mild diffusion, and then you either replace it or refill the same glass with a 15ml refill from Rs 399, which gives you another four to six weeks and saves Rs 50 to Rs 60 against a new bottle. The 10ml spray holds 100 sprays, so it works out at about 50 days at two sprays a day, or three months and more at one a day - and one a day is the realistic number for most people in a sedan. The 50ml spray at Rs 1,499 holds 500 sprays, which is about a year or more at that rate and roughly 63 per cent less per spray. Does a Mercedes interior need a different format from any other car?
No. What changes the answer is cabin volume, how many hours a day you drive, how well the car is sealed, and whether the heater or the air conditioning is running with the windows up - not the badge on the bonnet. A larger saloon or an SUV has more air to fill, which mostly means a single hanging bottle at the mirror serves the front of the cabin best and the rear gets less, since a point source does not fill a bigger space evenly.
