This page is meant to end in one bottle rather than in more reading. Fresh is the taste this range covers best — three genuinely different kinds of it across seven scents — so the question is not whether there is something here for you but which of the three you are. Tell me what is on your dressing table and the answer costs ₹299. Buy the 15ml first and leave the 300ml at ₹1,799 for the bottle that has already won.
Quick answers — read this first
The default: the Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity — white tea, cooling aloe, soft cedar, ₹299 for 15ml.

If your fresh is citrus: the Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury — white tea, bergamot, cedar, ₹299.

If your fresh is green: the Shangri-La-inspired Tea Garden — jasmine, green tea, white tea, ₹299. Test at 15ml before the 300ml at ₹1,799.
The short answer
Short answer: the Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity at ₹299 for 15ml — white tea, cooling aloe and soft cedar — for most fresh-perfume wearers. It is the lightest and coolest of the seven Hotel Collection scents and the closest register to a modern fresh perfume.
The pick: by what you wear — cool clean and laundered takes the Westin-inspired (₹299). Bright citrus takes the Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury (₹299) — bergamot rather than lemon. Green and leafy takes the Shangri-La-inspired Tea Garden (₹299). Fresh-woody takes the 1 Hotels-inspired Forest Suite (₹299). Aquatic takes the Westin-inspired, because there is no marine note in the range.
Shop: buy 15ml at ₹299 first — roughly ₹20 per millilitre, and still weeks of running at three to six drops per tank. The 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 is about ₹6 per millilitre and is for the scent that has already won. The Pack of 7 at 15ml is ₹1,799 and the Sukoon ₹1,899 with three 15ml scents included.
Straight answer
Which SOSA Hotel Collection fragrance should somebody who wears fresh perfumes try first?
1. The default is the Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity, ₹299 for 15ml. White tea, cooling aloe and soft cedar — the lightest of the seven and the closest thing in the Hotel Collection to what a modern fresh perfume is doing.

2. Unless your fresh is a bright citrus — then start with the Ritz-Carlton-inspired. Quiet Luxury at ₹299 is white tea and bergamot over clean cedar. Bergamot is bitter and tea-like rather than sharp and sweet, which is why it gives you lift without the cleaning-cupboard association.

3. If your fresh is green rather than clean, take the Shangri-La-inspired. Tea Garden at ₹299 — green tea, white tea and night-blooming jasmine. Leafy and garden-shaded, and the right answer for anybody who has found laundered freshness slightly bare.

4. If your fresh perfumes are aquatic, buy the Westin-inspired and know what you are getting. There is no aquatic, marine or ozonic note in the SOSA range. The cooling aloe is the nearest thing to that after-swim quality and it is not the same material.

5. Buy 15ml at ₹299, not 300ml at ₹1,799. That is the difference between testing a recommendation and committing to one. At three to six drops per tank a 15ml bottle lasts weeks — long enough to be sure in your own rooms.

A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
TL;DR: the Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity at ₹299 for most fresh-perfume wearers; the Ritz-Carlton-inspired at ₹299 if your fresh is citrus; the Shangri-La-inspired at ₹299 if it is green. Buy 15ml to test and 300ml only once one bottle has clearly won.
Hotel Collection 15ml
The size that settles an argument
Hotel Collection 15ml ₹299
Roughly ₹20 per millilitre — poor value as a supply and excellent value as a test. At three to six drops per tank a 15ml bottle still runs for weeks, which is long enough to judge it in your own rooms, at your own hours, against the perfume you actually wear rather than against a description. Buy this before the 300ml at ₹1,799, and buy the 300ml only for the one scent that has quietly become the smell of the house.

Start from the fresh perfume you already wear

Every good recommendation in home fragrance runs backwards from something you already own, and the bottle on your dressing table is the most informative object in the house. A fresh perfume tells me your tolerance for brightness, your position on sweetness and how much of a room you want to occupy — which is nearly everything I need. The only question left is what the air should be doing while you wear it, and the shape of that answer never changes: agree with the perfume, then step down a register. A room that repeats what is on your skin does not double it; your nose retires it within minutes, and you become the only person in the building who cannot smell what you paid for.

1
BRANCH ONE
If your fresh is cool, clean and laundered
This is the largest group and the simplest answer. Buy the Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity at ₹299 — white tea, cooling aloe and soft cedar — and run it at three or four drops on the low setting. It is the lightest composition in the range and the one built to be restorative rather than noticed, which means it sits underneath a light perfume instead of arguing with it. If you take one bottle from this page, take that one. It is the scent I would hand to a stranger who told me only that they wear something clean, and it is also the right answer for anybody who wears aquatics — with the plain caveat that there is no marine note in this range and the aloe is a cooling material, not a marine one.
2
BRANCH TWO
If your fresh is a bright citrus
Then you want lift in the room, and the material that gives it to you matters more than the amount. Buy the Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury at ₹299 — white tea and bergamot over clean cedar. Bergamot is the bitter, faintly floral, tea-like citrus rather than the sharp sweet one, so it reads as a polished lobby instead of a corridor that has just been mopped, and the cedar underneath is what keeps it in the room after the bright part has gone. If your taste runs to something zestier and you want the room to have a bit of personality, the W Hotels-inspired Lobby Bar at ₹299 puts pepper and amber under its citrus — livelier, warmer, and a change of subject rather than a backdrop.
The one to avoid on this branch: any bright citrus with nothing underneath it, wherever you buy it. Citrus over an empty base is the exact shape of the cleaning-product impression.
3
BRANCH THREE
If your fresh is green, or fresh-woody
Two neighbouring tastes, two different bottles. If what you love is leafy, garden-shaded, tea-and-stems green, buy the Shangri-La-inspired Tea Garden at ₹299 — green tea, white tea and night-blooming jasmine, which is cool and leafy through the day and warms as the jasmine builds in the evening. If your fresh perfumes are the dry, woody, outdoor kind — vetiver, cut grass, damp bark — buy the 1 Hotels-inspired Forest Suite at ₹299: cedarwood, vetiver and green leaves, the driest thing in the range and the best of the seven in a study. Both are fresh without a single citrus note between them, which is worth knowing if lemon is your particular objection.

The decision table

The whole recommendation in one place, arranged by what you already wear rather than by what the bottles are called. Every one of the seven Hotel Collection scents appears with its real note list, including the ones I would not choose for a fresh-perfume wearer — because knowing which to skip is worth as much as knowing which to buy, and it saves you the ₹598 you were about to spend on the wrong pair.

The decision table
The fresh perfume you wear → the bottle to try first
If the fresh perfume you wear is… Try this first Notes in the bottle Why it works for you 15ml
Cool, clean, laundered — or aquatic ★ Westin-inspired · White Tea Serenity White tea · aloe · cedar The lightest of the seven. Same register, one step quieter — and the aloe is the nearest thing to cool after-swim air ₹299
Bright citrus The Ritz-Carlton-inspired · Quiet Luxury White tea · bergamot · cedar Bergamot rather than lemon, with cedar underneath to hold it in the room ₹299
Green, leafy, tea-like Shangri-La-inspired · Tea Garden Jasmine · green tea · white tea Green-fresh by day, gently floral after nine. No citrus in it at all ₹299
Fresh-woody — vetiver, grass, dry bark 1 Hotels-inspired · Forest Suite Cedarwood · vetiver · green leaves The driest air in the range, and the best of the seven in a study ₹299
Fresh but you also want warmth by evening Four Seasons-inspired · Warm Welcome Citrus · floral · sandalwood Bright at the top, creamy underneath — the most staying power of the fresh-adjacent seven ₹299
Undecided, and you would rather judge by nose Pack of 7 · 15ml All seven, including the peppery citrus and the plush amber ₹294 less than seven singles — the St. Regis-inspired is the one I would not pick for you ₹1,799

One bottle, then the rest
The SOSA principle
The bottle on your dressing table has already answered this. All I am doing is reading it back.
Agree with the perfume, then step down a register — because a room that repeats what is on your skin does not double it, it retires it.

Why 15ml first, and 300ml much later

The 15ml bottle at ₹299 works out at roughly ₹20 per millilitre, which is poor value as a supply and the best value in the range as an argument. That is the whole case for it. At that size you are not buying fragrance, you are buying certainty — the right to run a scent in your own rooms, at your own hours, beside the perfume you actually wear, before committing to anything. And it is not a token amount: the Hotel Collection is dosed at three to six drops per tank and a 15ml bottle still runs for weeks at that rate, which is long enough for the novelty to wear off and for your honest opinion to arrive. Most people's honest opinion arrives in week two, and it is frequently not the one they had on day one. If you would rather compare rather than commit at all, the Pack of 7 at 15ml is ₹1,799 against ₹2,093 for seven bought singly — a saving of ₹294 — and for a fresh-perfume wearer it is the cheapest possible way to learn that you love two of the seven and can ignore the rest.

The larger sizes are for after the decision rather than during it. The 100ml is ₹999, about ₹10 per millilitre; the 300ml 300ml refill is ₹1,799, about ₹6 — a third of the small-bottle rate — and at three to six drops per tank that is months of daily running instead of weeks. The rule I would give anybody is to move up a size only when a bottle is emptying clearly ahead of the others in the house, because that is the signal, and it is a far better one than enthusiasm. Fresh scents tend to reach that point first, since they are the ones people leave running all day rather than switching on for guests, so if any size step is going to earn itself in your house it is this family. What I would not do is buy 300ml of something you have smelled once on a strip, however confident the description sounded — mine included.

On hardware, the same logic. If you already own an ultrasonic diffuser, the answer to this page is ₹299 and nothing more. If you do not, the Sukoon at ₹1,899 arrives with three 15ml Hotel Collection scents of your choice — which for a fresh-perfume wearer means both white teas and the green tea land with the machine, and the entire comparison on this page happens at home for the price of the hardware — and it covers 270–320 sq ft with a 500ml BPA-free tank, 16–18 hours per fill on low at 30–50 ml/h and 9–12 on high, a 2.4MHz plate, a remote, steady, 2H and 4H timers and auto shut-off. A Boond at ₹899 is the honest choice for a small bedroom or a second room, taking the same bottles at the same three to six drops per tank because the dose is per tank rather than per litre. A Megh at ₹3,499 with its six-litre tank is only for a genuinely large or double-height hall. Rinse the tank between scents, never substitute raw essential or carrier oils, and note that the water-based Hotel Collection does not go into reed diffusers or into the waterless Vaayu at ₹11,999, which takes its own undiluted oil. Free shipping starts above ₹499.

Buy the ₹299 bottle, not the ₹1,799 one. Certainty is cheaper than commitment.

In buying order for somebody who wears fresh perfumes and wants to leave this page with one thing in a basket. The last row is the honest note about what the range does not contain, because a buying guide that lists only what is in stock is an advertisement rather than a guide.

1. Westin-inspired 15ml White tea, cooling aloe and soft cedar — the lightest of the seven First, for most fresh-perfume wearers. ₹299 is the entire test ₹299
2. Ritz-Carlton-inspired 15ml White tea and bergamot over clean cedar — bitter citrus, not sharp If your fresh perfume is a bright citrus, or the room is busy ₹299
3. Shangri-La-inspired 15ml or 1 Hotels-inspired 15ml Green tea and jasmine, or cedarwood, vetiver and green leaves If your fresh runs green rather than clean, or dry and woody ₹299 each
4. Pack of 7 · 15ml All seven scents, ₹294 less than seven singles If you would rather judge the range by nose than be told ₹1,799
5. Sukoon or 300ml refill The machine with three scents included, or about ₹6 per ml for the winner The machine if you own none; the refill once one bottle is clearly ahead ₹1,899 / ₹1,799
Not in the range: an aquatic or marine scent No marine, ozonic or sea-air note anywhere in the Hotel Collection Said plainly. The Westin-inspired's cooling aloe is the nearest and is not the same
Honest notes for buyers: the Hotel Collection is a water-based fragrance for ultrasonic diffusers only — it runs in the Sukoon, Boond and Megh, and it does not go in reed diffusers or in the waterless Vaayu and HVAC machines, which take their own undiluted oil. Reed diffusers are a separate alcohol-free line with their own scents. Use 3–6 drops per tank and rinse between scents so each stays true; never substitute raw essential or carrier oils, which clog the 2.4MHz misting plate. Where the Hotel Collection does not contain a note, this guide says so rather than stretching the nearest scent to cover it. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels, composed in India by an ISIPCA Versailles-trained perfumer; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. Hotel Collection Pack of 7 · 15ml
All seven, one order
Hotel Collection Pack of 7 · 15ml ₹1,799
Seven 15ml bottles — both white teas, the green tea and jasmine, the dry cedar and vetiver, the sandalwood, the amber and violet and the peppery citrus. Bought singly they come to ₹2,093, so the pack saves ₹294. For somebody who wears fresh perfumes it is also the cheapest way to find out that two of the seven are yours and five are not, which is worth knowing before you spend ₹1,799 on a single 300ml bottle.

A note from Sonal

Fresh is the one taste where my honest answer and my flattering answer are the same, which is a relief after several guides where they were not. The range covers it three ways — clean, citrus and green — and the decision is genuinely about which of the three you are rather than about whether there is anything here for you at all. What I would still rather you did is buy one 15ml bottle at ₹299 and give it a fortnight, because a scent tested in your own rooms tells you something a description never will.

And I would hold on to the principle underneath the whole series while you choose. Your home fragrance is not a second dose of your perfume; it is the air the perfume is heard in, which is why the answer for most people here is the lightest thing I make rather than the most impressive. White tea, cooling aloe, soft cedar is almost nothing — deliberately. Three drops, low setting, left alone for a month, and it stops being a product you bought and becomes the smell of the place you live.

Everything is composed and made in India, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. You get a home that smells like somewhere you chose; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.

Frequently asked questions

Which SOSA Hotel Collection fragrance should a fresh perfume lover buy first?
The Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity — white tea, cooling aloe and soft cedar, ₹299 for 15ml. It is the lightest and coolest of the seven and the closest register to a modern fresh perfume. Buy the 15ml before the 300ml at ₹1,799.
What if my fresh perfume is a bright citrus?
Take the Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury at ₹299 — white tea and bergamot over clean cedar. Bergamot is the bitter, tea-like citrus rather than the sharp sweet one, so it gives you lift without the cleaning-product association, and the cedar keeps it in the room afterwards.
Is there a fresh SOSA scent with no citrus in it?
Two. The Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity (white tea, aloe, cedar, ₹299) and the Shangri-La-inspired Tea Garden (jasmine, green tea, white tea, ₹299). The 1 Hotels-inspired Forest Suite (₹299) is also citrus-free and reads dry and outdoor rather than clean.
Should I buy 15ml or 300ml first?
15ml at ₹299. That is roughly ₹20 per millilitre against about ₹6 for the 300ml at ₹1,799, which makes it poor value as a supply and excellent value as a test — and at three to six drops per tank it still runs for weeks. Move up only once one bottle is emptying ahead of the others.
Does the range have an aquatic scent for a fresh perfume lover?
No. There is no aquatic, marine or ozonic note in any of the seven Hotel Collection scents or anywhere else in the SOSA range. The cooling aloe in the Westin-inspired is the nearest thing to that cool, just-showered quality, and it is a cooling note rather than a marine one.
