How much area does the Megh cover? About 215 square feet on a comfortable setting. Coverage always depends on ceiling height, airflow and how open the space is, so treat that as a working figure, not a guarantee.
Is a bigger tank always better? No. A big tank is wasted on a small room and can over-humidify it. Match the machine to the space: Boond for a desk, Sukoon for a bedroom, Megh only when the room truly needs it.
How diffuser coverage really works
Coverage is the question I get most from people with large living rooms, and it is easy to get wrong. A diffuser does not push scent in a straight line; it lifts a fine cool mist that fragrance rides on, and that mist spreads with the air in the room. So coverage depends on more than the machine - ceiling height, whether doors are open, whether a fan or AC is moving the air.
In the SOSA range the reach ladder is simple. Boond (300ml) is a personal diffuser for a desk or bedside, roughly 150 square feet. Sukoon (500ml) suits a bedroom or study at 270 to 320 square feet. And the Megh, with its 6-litre tank, covers the most - around 215 square feet of steady, comfortable scenting, with the headroom to push further in an open-plan space using the mist dial.
The Megh wins on coverage not only because the tank is big, but because the adjustable mist dial lets you match output to the room instead of running flat out and emptying by lunchtime.
Sizing the Megh - and when not to
The Megh is my large-room answer, but honesty cuts both ways: it is the wrong buy for a small bedroom. A 6-litre unit in a compact room will over-humidify it and leave the surfaces feeling damp. Bigger is not automatically better - it is better only when the room asks for it.
| Diffuser | Tank | Best room size | Runtime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boond ₹799 | 300ml | Desk ~150 sq ft | Up to 6 hrs |
| Sukoon ₹1799 | 500ml | Bedroom 270-320 sq ft | 16-18 hrs |
| Megh ₹3499 | 6L | Living room ~215 sq ft | Up to 100 hrs |
The Megh also earns its keep as a humidifier. Indian living rooms go bone-dry under AC in summer and in winter, and a 6-litre cool-mist tank puts that moisture back while it scents. Run it with the water-based Hotel Collection - and only that. Raw essential or carrier oils are too thick and will clog the misting plate.
"A bigger diffuser scents more strongly." Not exactly. A bigger tank mainly means it runs longer and reaches further before refilling. Intensity comes from the mist output and how much fragrance you add, both of which you control on the Megh with the dial and a few drops more or less.

Versailles
I trained as a perfumer at ISIPCA in Versailles, but half the questions we get are not about scent at all - they are about the machine. Indian rooms are bone-dry from AC and winter, and most gadget diffusers are too small, too loud, or quit by midnight. So we made three: Boond (300ml, desk), Sukoon (500ml, bedroom, with a remote and mood light) and Megh (6L, whole-room), each shipping with three of our fragrances.
They are cool-mist ultrasonic diffusers - an ultrasonic plate turns water into a fine, cool mist with no heating element, so there is no boiling water or burn risk, and each has an auto shut-off when the tank runs dry.
One thing I say on every listing and will say here: use only SOSA's water-based Hotel Collection fragrance. Raw essential oils, perfumes and carrier oils are thick or solvent-heavy and can clog the misting plate and damage the unit. A few drops of our water-based fragrance in the tank mists cleanly and scents the whole room.
