Are these the actual hotel scents? No. They are our own perfumer's interpretations of the styles those hotels are known for - inspired by, not affiliated with, the hotels named. We are always honest about that.
Can I use them every day? Absolutely. Many customers make one their everyday home signature. A few drops of water-based fragrance in the tank scents the room cleanly, day after day.
The occasions it suits
Every great hotel taught me the same lesson: scent is the first thing you notice and the last thing you forget. That is the feeling these fragrances are for, and it belongs to more occasions than people expect.
When guests are over. This is the obvious one, and it works. A lobby-calm scent greets people before they have taken off their coats - a Ritz-Carlton-inspired white tea and cedar, or a W Hotels-inspired citrus and amber for a livelier gathering. Start the diffuser 20-30 minutes ahead so the scent settles into a welcome rather than a wall.
On a reset day. You know the feeling after a proper tidy - the home looks renewed and you want it to smell renewed too. A clean, fresh hotel-inspired scent finishes the job. It is the scent equivalent of fresh sheets: the same room, but it feels brand new.
The occasion people underrate most is "no occasion at all". You do not need guests or an event to deserve a home that smells like a five-star lobby. Many of our customers run one scent every single day as their signature - and honestly, that quiet everyday luxury is my favourite way to use them.
As your everyday signature. Pick one scent and let it become the smell of your home - the one visitors associate with you, the one you stop noticing until you have been away and walk back in. A signature scent is one of the most personal, welcoming things a home can have.
Choosing your hotel feeling
Seven styles, three broad moods. Here is how I would steer you, depending on the feeling you are after.
| Mood | SOSA scent (inspired by) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Clean / spa | White Tea Serenity (Westin), Tea Garden (Shangri-La) | Reset days, bedrooms |
| Warm / evening | Old-World Glamour (St. Regis), Quiet Luxury (Ritz-Carlton) | Hosting, living rooms |
| Bold / fresh | Lobby Bar (W Hotels), Warm Welcome (Four Seasons) | Entertaining, entryways |
I want to be completely honest about what these are, because it matters to me. They are independent, hotel-inspired interpretations created by SOSA - my own take on the style each hotel is known for. SOSA is not affiliated with, endorsed by or associated with the hotels named; their names simply describe the scent style. What you are paying for is a trained perfumer's version of that feeling, made water-based to run cleanly in your diffuser, at a fraction of a hotel stay.
One practical reminder: use SOSA's water-based Hotel Collection fragrance only, with filtered water. It is made to mist cleanly through your diffuser - raw perfumes or essential oils would clog the plate. That is how you keep the five-star feeling coming, day after day.
The SOSA range
SOSA makes three cool-mist ultrasonic diffusers for different rooms, each arriving with three of our water-based Hotel Collection fragrances so you can scent from day one. Prices and headline specs below are live from the SOSA store. Whichever you choose, use only the SOSA water-based fragrance - raw essential or carrier oils can clog the misting plate.

Versailles
I trained as a perfumer at ISIPCA in Versailles, but half the questions we get are not about scent at all - they are about the machine. Indian rooms are bone-dry from AC and winter, and most gadget diffusers are too small, too loud, or quit by midnight. So we made three: Boond (300ml, desk), Sukoon (500ml, bedroom, with a remote and mood light) and Megh (6L, whole-room), each shipping with three of our fragrances.
They are cool-mist ultrasonic diffusers - an ultrasonic plate turns water into a fine, cool mist with no heating element, so there is no boiling water or burn risk, and each has an auto shut-off when the tank runs dry.
One thing I say on every listing and will say here: use only SOSA's water-based Hotel Collection fragrance. Raw essential oils, perfumes and carrier oils are thick or solvent-heavy and can clog the misting plate and damage the unit. A few drops of our water-based fragrance in the tank mists cleanly and scents the whole room.
