Is there a Wi-Fi app or Alexa control? No. I want to be honest: SOSA diffusers do not have Wi-Fi, an app, or smart-home voice control. The remote and the on-device timers cover the real set-and-forget use, but there is no phone app.
Which fragrance do I put in it? Only SOSA's water-based Hotel Collection fragrance. A few drops in the tank. Raw essential or carrier oils are too thick and can clog the misting plate.
What the Sukoon remote and timers actually do
The Sukoon is a 500ml cool-mist ultrasonic diffuser built for a bedroom, study or nursery, and it is the one SOSA unit designed around hands-off control. The remote works up to roughly 5 metres, which in practice means the whole of a normal bedroom. From it you can turn the mist on and off, cycle the 7-colour LED or hold a single colour, and set the timer.
Coverage is around 270 to 320 sq ft, it works at 2.4MHz, the tank is BPA-free, and there is both an empty-tank auto shut-off and overheat protection. The point of all this is that once it is set, you should not have to touch it again until you refill.
My honest advice: the timer matters more than the remote. If you sleep with it on, set the 2-hour or 4-hour auto-off so it stops after you have drifted off, rather than running the tank down every night.
Why there is no app, and why the remote still covers you
I get asked for "smart" diffusers, and I want to answer it plainly rather than bury it. SOSA diffusers, Sukoon included, have no Wi-Fi, no phone app and no Alexa or Google Home integration. You cannot schedule the Sukoon from your phone or ask a voice assistant to switch it on. I would rather you read that here than feel misled by the word "remote".
The claim: "A remote means it is app-controlled." Not so. The Sukoon remote is a simple radio handset, the kind that comes with a fan or a TV. It is truly useful for set-and-forget from bed, but it is not a smart-home device, and I will not describe it as one.
Here is why, for most people, that is fine. The two things an app is usually asked to do are start the diffuser without getting up and stop it after a set time. The Sukoon does both from the remote and the timer, without needing your phone, an account, or a working internet connection. There is no app to update and nothing to stop working when the maker changes their servers.
If you truly need app or voice control, a SOSA diffuser is not the right buy for you today, and I would rather say so than take the sale. If you need reliable, offline set-and-forget, the Sukoon is built for exactly that.
Fill with clean, room-temperature water (filtered or RO in hard-water cities to avoid mineral white dust), never hot water. The mist is cool, with no heat, and it scents a room rather than purifying the air. Use only SOSA's water-based Hotel Collection fragrance in these diffusers. Raw essential oils, perfumes and carrier oils are too thick or solvent-heavy, so they can clog the ultrasonic misting plate and damage the unit.

Versailles
I trained as a perfumer at ISIPCA in Versailles, but half the questions we get are not about scent at all - they are about the machine. Indian rooms are bone-dry from AC and winter, and most gadget diffusers are too small, too loud, or quit by midnight. So we made three: Boond (300ml, desk), Sukoon (500ml, bedroom, with a remote and mood light) and Megh (6L, whole-room), each shipping with three of our fragrances.
They are cool-mist ultrasonic diffusers - an ultrasonic plate turns water into a fine, cool mist with no heating element, so there is no boiling water or burn risk, and each has an auto shut-off when the tank runs dry.
One thing I say on every listing and will say here: use only SOSA's water-based Hotel Collection fragrance. Raw essential oils, perfumes and carrier oils are thick or solvent-heavy and can clog the misting plate and damage the unit. A few drops of our water-based fragrance in the tank mists cleanly and scents the whole room.
