A spine centre once asked me to recommend something for their fluoroscopy suite "because the corridor smells so good, it seems a shame to stop there." I said no, and I explained why in a way I do not usually need to for a procedure room: it was not only that the patient in there did not choose the air. It was that I genuinely do not know what that room needs around the equipment, and pretending otherwise would have been dishonest.
