At 4BHK scale this comparison finally becomes a fair fight on price, which is what makes it interesting. Six Sukoons is ₹11,394. One Vaayu is ₹11,999. Six hundred rupees apart, and they fail in opposite directions. Six tanks covers every room and creates a weekly job nobody keeps; one waterless machine covers the common zone perfectly and leaves four bedrooms exactly as they were. The conclusion is not a winner — it is a split.
Quick answers — read this first
Six Sukoons: ₹11,394, eighteen 15ml scents, every room covered — and six tanks to refill weekly.

One Vaayu: ₹11,999, no tank, real scheduling, no added humidity — and four unchanged bedrooms.

The answer: neither alone. One Vaayu for the common zone plus four Sukoons in the bedrooms — ₹19,595, or ₹15,797 with two.
The short answer
Short answer: neither wins on its own in a 4BHK, and at this scale they cost almost the same. Six Sukoons at ₹1,899 each is ₹11,394 and covers every enclosed volume in a 2,000–3,000 sq ft flat, but it means six 500ml tanks to empty, rinse and refill weekly, and the machine in the 450–700 sq ft living-dining is standing in one and a half to two and a half times its 270–320 sq ft rating. One Vaayu at ₹11,999 is rated for up to 1000m³ of connected space with no tank and real scheduling, and will not cross a single closed bedroom door.
The pick: the hybrid — one Vaayu for the connected common areas plus Sukoons in the bedrooms. ₹19,595 with four bedroom machines and twelve 15ml Hotel Collection bottles included, or ₹15,797 with two. If the budget stops at about ₹11,000, four Sukoons in the bedrooms at ₹7,596 plus a 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 is a better home than either of the two setups this article compares.
Shop: the Sukoon (₹1,899), the Vaayu (₹11,999), the Hotel Collection from ₹299, 300ml refills at ₹1,799 and the full home scenting range.
Straight answer
Multiple Sukoons or one Vaayu for a 4BHK?
1. Neither, on its own — and at 4BHK scale they cost nearly the same. Six Sukoons is ₹11,394 with eighteen 15ml Hotel Collection bottles included. One Vaayu is ₹11,999. Six hundred rupees apart, and each one fails at precisely the thing the other does well.

2. Six Sukoons covers everything and creates a job. Every enclosed volume gets a machine, each bedroom is comfortably inside a 270–320 sq ft rating, and each person picks their own scent. Then six 500ml tanks want emptying, rinsing and refilling on the same morning every week — and the machine in the 450–700 sq ft living-dining is still in a room larger than its rating.

3. One Vaayu covers the common zone and stops at the first door. Waterless nebulising up to 1000m³ of connected space, no tank, no added humidity, under 38dB, Bluetooth app with genuine scheduling — and four bedrooms exactly as they were, because no machine of any technology crosses a shut door.

4. The hybrid is the answer, and it is more money. One Vaayu for the connected common areas plus four Sukoons in the bedrooms is ₹19,595, or ₹15,797 with two bedroom machines. That is ₹8,201 above six Sukoons, and what it buys is the right machine for one oversized volume, two fewer weekly tanks, real scheduling and no added humidity.

5. If ₹11,000 is the ceiling, buy neither of these two. Four Sukoons in the bedrooms at ₹7,596 with twelve bottles, plus a 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799, is ₹9,395 and a better home than six tanks or one machine behind four closed doors.

A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
TL;DR: six Sukoons at ₹11,394 and one Vaayu at ₹11,999 are six hundred rupees apart and fail in opposite directions — six weekly tanks against four unchanged bedrooms. Neither wins alone. The hybrid does: one Vaayu for the connected common areas plus Sukoons in the bedrooms, ₹19,595 with four and ₹15,797 with two.
Six Sukoons
What buying one technology twice over looks like
Six Sukoons ₹11,394
One machine for every enclosed volume a large 4BHK holds — the living-dining, the master, three further bedrooms and a study — with eighteen 15ml Hotel Collection bottles arriving between them, for six hundred rupees less than a single waterless machine. The arithmetic is honest and the covering is genuine. What it also is, plainly, is six tanks to empty, rinse and refill on the same morning every week, with the largest room in the flat still larger than the machine standing in it. This is the count at which I would stop counting and buy the other technology for half the house.

What each setup actually is at 4BHK scale

Most versions of this comparison are written for a flat where the two options are not close on price, and the argument gets settled by budget before anybody looks at the technology. A 4BHK is different: six ultrasonic machines and one waterless one land within six hundred rupees of each other, which strips the money out of the question and leaves the actual engineering exposed. So it is worth being precise about what each setup is before deciding which is better, because they are not two grades of the same thing.

1
SIX SUKOONS · ₹11,394
Complete on paper, and a weekly rota in practice
Six Sukoons puts one machine in every enclosed volume a large 4BHK holds: the 450–700 sq ft living-dining, the 160–220 sq ft master, three further bedrooms of 110–160 sq ft each and a study. Eighteen 15ml Hotel Collection bottles arrive between them, which is 270ml of fragrance across up to seven characters, so the wardrobe costs nothing. Each unit holds 500ml, produces 30–50 ml/h of 2.4MHz cool mist, runs 16–18 hours per fill on low and 9–12 on high, and carries a remote with steady, 2H and 4H timers. In the bedrooms this is genuinely excellent and I would not change it. The two problems are both outside the bedrooms. Six 500ml tanks want emptying, rinsing and a wipe at the misting plate on the same morning every week, with filtered or RO water in hard-water cities — one machine is a pleasure, three is a ten-minute routine and six is a job people abandon by about March. And the sixth machine is standing in a volume between one and a half and two and a half times what it is rated for.
2
ONE VAAYU · ₹11,999
The right machine for one zone, and silence in five others
The Vaayu is not a large Sukoon. It is a waterless cold-air nebuliser that atomises undiluted oil directly with no water and no tank, rated for up to 1000m³ of connected space, running under 38dB, adding no humidity whatever, and carrying a Bluetooth app with genuine scheduling. In the connected common areas of a 4BHK it is close to ideal: it covers a 450–700 sq ft living, dining and entrance that runs into the corridor with no door in the arrangement, it never needs a weekly rinse, and it will scent that volume from six in the evening whether or not anybody has come home. Then it stops. A nebuliser rated for a thousand cubic metres is exactly as helpless against a closed bedroom door as a 500ml ultrasonic unit is, and a 4BHK has four or five of those doors, shut for the hours that matter. One Vaayu alone in this home is a superb common area and four bedrooms that smell of nothing.
The one-line summary: six Sukoons buys coverage and a chore. One Vaayu buys a zone and a silence. At ₹11,394 against ₹11,999, price is not what should decide this.
3
WHY THE COMPARISON IS THE WRONG SHAPE
These are complements that happen to be priced like alternatives
The reason this question resists a clean winner is that the two machines are not competing for the same work. Ultrasonic units are built to hold one sealed room at a steady low level and to belong to the person in it; a cold-air nebuliser is built to fill a large body of connected air and to be forgotten about. A 4BHK contains both situations at once, which almost no smaller Indian home does — a studio, a 1BHK and a 2BHK are all counting problems, and a 3BHK becomes a sizing problem only in the newer open-plan builds. So the comparison people should actually be running at this size is not six against one. It is four Sukoons in the bedrooms plus a Vaayu in the common zone, at ₹19,595, against four Sukoons alone at ₹7,596 — because those are the two setups that both make sense, and the difference between them is a decision about one room rather than about the flat.

The head-to-head, line by line

Six machines, one machine and the hybrid across the six lines that actually decide it, with nothing rounded in anybody's favour. Read the last row first if you are buying today; everything above it explains why the verdict refuses to pick one of the first two columns.

Six Sukoons vs one Vaayu vs the hybrid
The six lines that decide it in a 2,000–3,000 sq ft flat
The line Six Sukoons · ₹11,394 One Vaayu · ₹11,999 The hybrid · ₹19,595
Coverage 270–320 sq ft per unit — every bedroom easily, the 450–700 sq ft living-dining only partly Up to 1000m³ of connected space — the whole common zone, and not one bedroom Both: the connected volume on the nebuliser, each bedroom inside a single ultrasonic rating
Refill labour Six 500ml tanks emptied, rinsed and refilled on one morning a week None at all — no water and no tank Four easy bedroom tanks that go most of a week on low, and none in the spaces that run longest
Scheduling Remote with steady, 2H and 4H duration timers — it runs for a set number of hours and cannot start itself Bluetooth app with genuine scheduling; under 38dB Scheduling where it matters and duration timers where it does not — bedrooms are switched on by the person in them
Humidity Adds a little in six rooms — welcome in AC-dry bedrooms, a consideration in a coastal flat during monsoon Adds none anywhere A little in the bedrooms where it is usually pleasant, and none in the largest air mass in the home
Cost and what arrives ₹11,394 with eighteen 15ml Hotel Collection bottles included ₹11,999; runs undiluted oil rather than the water-based bottles — see the live product page ₹19,595 with twelve 15ml bottles, or ₹15,797 with two bedroom machines
The verdict ★ Covers everything and becomes a rota. Buy four of them, not six Perfect for one zone, silent behind four doors. Never buy it alone in a 4BHK The recommendation — ₹8,201 more than six machines, and the only setup that answers both halves of the flat
Shop this guide
The two setups people compare, and the bottle that runs one of them
The SOSA principle
Six Sukoons buys coverage and a chore. One Vaayu buys a zone and a silence. Six hundred rupees apart, and neither is the answer.
Which is why the real comparison at 4BHK scale is the hybrid at ₹19,595 against four bedroom Sukoons at ₹7,596 — the two setups that both make sense.

Why neither of them wins alone

Take the six-machine setup first, because it is the one most people arrive already leaning towards and it is not a bad instinct. Everything about it is right in the bedrooms. A 110–220 sq ft room against a 270–320 sq ft rating means the machine never works hard, runs on low with the 2H timer at least 1.5m from the pillow, and goes most of a week on one 500ml fill. Each unit belongs to a person, has its own switch and its own remote, and arrives with three 15ml Hotel Collection bottles of that buyer's choice — which is why eighteen bottles land with six machines and the fragrance wardrobe costs nothing at all. What breaks is everything outside those doors. The fifth and sixth machines go into the living-dining and the study, and those are the two spaces that run the longest hours, empty their tanks fastest and belong to nobody in particular, so they generate most of the weekly labour while being the least personally rewarding. Meanwhile the living-dining machine is doing about half of a job it was never rated for: a 450–700 sq ft connected volume against a 270–320 sq ft rating, and adding a second unit at the far end does not extend the coverage — two ultrasonic machines in one air mass overlap in the middle rather than adding their ratings together, so the centre gets heavier and the ends stay much as they were. The failure mode of six machines is not a badly scented home. It is four machines standing quietly dry by March while the household concludes that home fragrance was a phase.

Now the single-machine setup, which fails faster and more visibly. Spend ₹11,999 on one Vaayu in a 4BHK and you get a common area that is genuinely better than anything six ultrasonic units would have produced there — a 450–700 sq ft volume held evenly rather than heavily in the middle, scented from six in the evening by the app rather than when somebody remembers, with no tank to rinse and no humidity added during monsoon in Mumbai or Kochi. And then you walk down the corridor, open the master bedroom door at eleven at night, and the room smells of exactly what it smelled of before you spent the money. This is not a limitation of the Vaayu; it is a fact about air. Fragrance is stopped by a partition long before it is exhausted by distance, which is why the coverage rating is expressed in connected space and why a 1000m³ figure describes a body of air rather than a floor area. A 4BHK is the least connected home most Indians will ever live in: five or six sealed volumes joined by doors that are shut for precisely the hours when fragrance would matter most. The most expensive mistake available at this size is buying the ₹11,999 machine first and alone, because it puts the larger part of a fragrance budget into the half of the house you are conscious in for three hours a day and nothing into the half you sleep in.

Which leaves the hybrid, and the honest way to present it is as more money rather than as a clever saving. One Vaayu plus four Sukoons is ₹19,595 with twelve 15ml bottles — ₹8,201 above the six-machine setup and ₹7,596 above the single-machine one. What that difference buys is four things and nothing else: the right machine for the one volume that defeats an ultrasonic unit; the removal of the two weekly tanks that generate most of the labour; genuine scheduling in the only zone where scheduling is meaningful, since the Sukoon's timers are duration timers that run for a set number of hours once started and cannot switch themselves on at a clock time; and no added humidity in the largest air mass in the flat. If two or more of those matter to you, the hybrid is straightforwardly the right buy and ₹15,797 is its entry version with two bedroom machines. If none of them does, here is the recommendation I would actually make to somebody with about ₹11,000 to spend, which is neither of the two setups this article compares: four Sukoons in the bedrooms at ₹7,596 plus a 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 — ₹9,395, at roughly ₹6 per ml against about ₹20 per ml in 15ml bottles, leaving the common areas to the doors standing open. Four rooms each holding a fragrance somebody chose, no rota, and nearly two thousand rupees still in your pocket. Two things worth naming before you decide: the Megh at ₹3,499 is a fine 6-litre unit that solves refill frequency in one large space and still occupies exactly one room, and the Aangan at ₹25,999 is an HVAC nebulising system for 8,000–10,000 sq ft, which is a hotel floor rather than a home.

Six machines and one machine cost almost the same and fail in opposite directions. The setup that works is not on that list — it is one of each, in the halves of the flat that want them.

The SOSA 4BHK edit

Both contenders, the answer, and the version for a budget that stops short of it — in the order I would buy them. The last two rows are the two ways this decision goes wrong.

The SOSA 4BHK edit
What to buy instead of six machines or one
Buy What it does When it earns its place Price
1. Four Sukoons for the bedrooms ★ 270–320 sq ft each on low with the 2H timer, one 500ml fill lasting most of a week, twelve 15ml Hotel Collection bottles between them — four people, four fragrances First, on any budget. This half of the answer never changes ₹7,596
2. 300ml refill The everyday scent across every ultrasonic tank at roughly ₹6 per ml — ₹9,395 all in, which is ₹1,999 below six machines and ₹2,604 below one Vaayu After a month, once one of the twelve included bottles has clearly won ₹1,799
3. Vaayu for the common zone Waterless nebulising up to 1000m³, no tank, no added humidity, under 38dB, real app scheduling — the living, dining, entrance and corridor as one volume Once the bedrooms are running, and only after height and central placement have been tried ₹11,999
4. The hybrid, complete One Vaayu and four Sukoons — the only setup that answers both halves of a 4BHK. ₹15,797 with two bedroom machines The recommendation for a 4BHK with a genuinely open common area ₹19,595
Not this: six Sukoons Every enclosed volume covered on paper — and six tanks to empty, rinse and refill weekly, with the largest room still short of its machine The count says yes and the Sunday says no ₹11,394
Not this: one Vaayu alone A superb common zone and four bedrooms exactly as they were, because no machine crosses a shut door Never on its own in a four or five-door home ₹11,999
Honest notes for buyers: the Sukoon covers 270–320 sq ft, which is why a studio needs exactly one and a 3BHK needs three or a Vaayu instead. Ultrasonic diffusers are water-based and add a little humidity to the room, which is a benefit in an AC-dry home and a consideration in a damp coastal one; they run SOSA's own water-based Hotel Collection fragrance and nothing else, because thicker essential and carrier oils clog the 2.4MHz misting plate. The Vaayu and the HVAC systems are waterless nebulisers running undiluted oil — a different technology, not a bigger Sukoon, and the better choice for long daily runs across connected space. Fragrance layers on top of clean air; it does not replace an extractor fan, an open window or a bin that gets emptied. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. SOSA Vaayu
Waterless, for the half of the flat with no doors
SOSA Vaayu ₹11,999
A cold-air nebuliser running undiluted oil rather than a water tank, rated for up to 1000m³ of connected space, with a Bluetooth app and genuine scheduling and under 38dB of noise. In a 4BHK it has one job and does it properly: the 450–700 sq ft living-dining that runs into the entrance and the corridor with no door anywhere in the arrangement. It adds no humidity, there is no tank to empty and rinse weekly, and it is the only machine here that will start itself at six in the evening. It will not cross a bedroom door, which is why it belongs alongside Sukoons rather than instead of them.

A note from Sonal

This is the comparison I am asked for by the people about to spend the most, and the answer disappoints almost everybody, because they came for a winner. There is not one. Six machines and one machine are six hundred rupees apart in a 4BHK and they are wrong in opposite directions — one of them asks a household to become the kind of household that fills six tanks every Sunday, and the other asks four bedrooms to accept that the living room is where the money went.

The setup that works is one of each: a waterless machine for the connected half, a Sukoon behind every bedroom door. ₹19,595 with four bedroom machines and ₹15,797 with two, and I will not pretend that is not more money than either alternative on this page. What I will say is that if your ceiling is around ₹11,000, I would rather you bought neither of the two setups being compared here and spent ₹9,395 instead — four Sukoons in the bedrooms and one 300ml refill — and kept the difference. That home has four rooms holding fragrances four people chose, no rota, and nothing in it that will be superseded when the common areas get their turn next year. Being talked down two thousand rupees is a better outcome than being sold a machine that stops at the first closed door.

Everything is made and supported from Pune, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. You get a home that smells like somewhere you chose; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.

Frequently asked questions

Multiple Sukoons or one Vaayu for a 4BHK?
Neither alone. Six Sukoons is ₹11,394 and covers every room while creating six weekly tanks; one Vaayu is ₹11,999 and covers the connected common areas while leaving four bedrooms unchanged. The answer is the hybrid — one Vaayu plus four Sukoons at ₹19,595, or ₹15,797 with two bedroom machines.
Is one Vaayu cheaper than six Sukoons?
They are almost identical: six Sukoons is ₹11,394 with eighteen 15ml Hotel Collection bottles included, and one Vaayu is ₹11,999. Price is not what should decide this — the six machines cover every room and create a weekly rota, and the one machine covers a zone and stops at the first closed door.
Which is less work to run?
The Vaayu, comfortably. It is waterless with no tank at all, so there is no weekly empty, rinse and refill. Six Sukoons means six 500ml tanks on the same morning every week, with filtered or RO water in hard-water cities — about ten minutes at three machines and a job at six.
Can the Vaayu be scheduled and the Sukoon not?
Yes. The Vaayu has a Bluetooth app with genuine scheduling and runs under 38dB. The Sukoon has a remote and steady, 2H and 4H duration timers, which run for a set number of hours once you start them — it cannot switch itself on at six in the evening, and I would rather say so plainly.
What if my budget stops at about ₹11,000?
Then buy neither setup on this page. Four Sukoons in the bedrooms at ₹7,596 with twelve 15ml bottles, plus a 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799, is ₹9,395 and gives four people a fragrance each behind their own door — with the common areas left to open doors until the Vaayu is affordable.
