Ask this about a flat and you get back a number. Ask it about a villa and the honest reply is two numbers, because a villa is two different problems wearing one address. There are the closed rooms, which you count on your fingers — and there is one connected volume of air downstairs that no amount of counting will size correctly. Almost every villa scenting budget goes wrong on the second half, by buying more of the machine that solved the first.
Quick answers — read this first
The bedrooms: one Sukoon per closed room at ₹1,899. Four to six in a typical villa. This half of the answer is simple and it does not change.

The common areas: if the ground floor is genuinely open — entrance, living, dining and kitchen sharing air — stop counting and measure. Above roughly 800–1,000 sq ft of connected space, one Vaayu at ₹11,999 does what four Sukoons cannot.

If your bungalow has doors between those rooms, it is not one volume at all. Two more Sukoons, and you are finished for under ₹12,000.

How many diffusers does a villa need?
1. One Sukoon per closed room, and that is usually four to six. Bedrooms, the study, the guest room, a puja room if you use it daily. Each is a sealed air space of 150–250 sq ft, comfortably inside the Sukoon's 270–320 sq ft rating. ₹1,899 each, three 15ml fragrances in each box.

2. Then stop counting and go and look at the ground floor. If you can stand at the front door and see the dining table and the sofa without passing through a doorway, that is one air space, and its size is the whole question. Pace it out. Note the ceiling height. Under about 800 sq ft of connected floor, two Sukoons handle it.

3. Above that, one machine beats four. A Vaayu at ₹11,999 is rated to 1000 m³ — roughly 2,900 sq ft of floor at a twelve-foot ceiling. It is waterless, nebulises neat oil bought separately, and cannot run the water-based Hotel Collection your bedrooms use.

4. Corridors, stairs and the double-height void get nothing. They are transit space. They take their fragrance from the rooms on either side, and a machine standing in a passage in a house this size is the single most common wasted ₹1,899 I see.

5. Never buy a Megh for area. The Megh is ₹3,499 for a six-litre tank and up to 100 hours of runtime, but it is rated to 215 sq ft — less than a Sukoon. In a villa it earns its place in one very dry bedroom in a north-Indian winter, and nowhere else.

Why a villa gives you two counts instead of one

The method that sizes every flat correctly is a door count. Fragrance does not pass through a closed door, so each sealed room is its own problem and gets its own machine or nothing at all. That method is sound and it still works for most of a villa — the bedrooms, the study, the guest suite are simply small closed rooms and a Sukoon handles each of them exactly as it would in a 2BHK. Nothing about a large house makes a 160 sq ft bedroom harder to scent. What a villa adds is one space the door count cannot see. The ground floor of a modern villa is usually a single continuous body of air — entrance, living, dining, often the kitchen, frequently rising through two storeys over the seating — and there are no internal doors in it to count.

That space has to be measured, and measured in the right unit. An ultrasonic diffuser is rated in square feet because it was designed for rooms of ordinary height, where floor area is a fair proxy for the air above it. A double-height villa hall breaks the proxy: 900 sq ft with a twenty-foot ceiling holds the same air as 1,800 sq ft with a normal one. Worse, ultrasonic mist is cold and dense — it drops out of the air within a few metres of the machine rather than drifting across a hall. So four Sukoons ranged around a large open ground floor do not produce one scented room; they produce four scented pockets with dead air between them, and you have spent ₹7,596 to learn that. Above roughly 800 to 1,000 sq ft of genuinely connected floor, the honest answer is a machine built to project rather than to mist, which in this catalogue means the Vaayu.

If the answer is none between the entrance and the dining table, you have a volume problem, not a room problem.
The test: stand at the front door. Everything you can see without opening something is one air space, and it is sized by cubic metres.

One that projects, not four that mist
Below about 800 sq ft of connected floor at an ordinary ceiling, two Sukoons placed well — one at the seating, one near the dining end — will read as a single scented room. Above that, they stop cooperating and start competing. The Vaayu at ₹11,999 is rated to 1000 m³, which is roughly 2,900 sq ft at a twelve-foot ceiling or about 1,750 sq ft of true double height. It nebulises neat oil into cold air with no water and no tank, so the particles are far finer and stay airborne long enough to actually cross a hall. The price of that is a separate fragrance supply: it is waterless and cannot run the water-based Hotel Collection at all.
The rule: more floor area means more Sukoons, until the floor area is one room. Then it means a different machine.

DECISION THREE · WHICH ROOMS YOU LEAVE ALONE
A villa has more transit space than a flat has rooms
The long corridor to the guest wing, the stairwell, the landing, the passage past the utility — in a villa these can add up to more floor area than an entire 1BHK, and every one of them should be left empty. Air moves through a corridor rather than sitting in it, so a diffuser there is scenting a draught. It will read as faintly perfumed for two metres and nothing beyond, and it will pull fragrance out of the rooms on either side rather than adding to them. The same goes for a guest bedroom used four nights a year, a formal dining room nobody eats in, and the double-height void above the seating, where anything you release simply rises and stays there. Scent the rooms where people stop moving.

Villa by villa: what the count actually comes to

Sized by layout rather than by total area, because two villas of 3,000 sq ft can need completely different kit. The Sukoon's 270–320 sq ft rating assumes a closed room without a strong draught — in a villa with garden doors open, treat it as the lower end of that range.

The Megh line, once more: it costs ₹1,600 more than a Sukoon and covers roughly 100 sq ft less. In a house this size that inversion catches people constantly. Buy it for tank size and dry-air relief in a single room; for area, the answer is always another Sukoon.

The SOSA principle
A villa is not a big flat. It is a normal house with one room in it that has to be measured rather than counted.
Everything behind a door follows the same rule it followed in a 1BHK. Only the open volume changes, and it changes the machine rather than the number of machines.

Placement, drops and when to run each half

The bedrooms first, because they are the easy half and people still get them wrong. Stand each Sukoon about a metre off the floor — a chest of drawers, a shelf, a bedside table rather than the ground — and at least a metre from the bed itself, so you are scenting the room rather than the pillow. Keep it out of the direct throw of a split AC or a ceiling fan; moving air does not distribute mist evenly, it drives it against one wall. Three to four drops of the Hotel Collection per tank in a bedroom, not six. Run it for an hour before the room is used and let the timer stop it.

The ground floor is a different discipline. If you are running two Sukoons in a semi-open plan, place them at the two ends of the space rather than symmetrically along one wall, and give each the same scent at the same dose — four to five drops, since the volume is larger and the doors to the garden are frequently open. If you are running a Vaayu, it belongs low and near where air already moves: beside the seating, in line with the AC return or the natural draught from the entrance, and never up on a mezzanine or in the double-height void, where its output will rise and stay above everybody's heads. It runs on a schedule from the app rather than on a fill, which is the point of it.

Then the schedule, which in a villa matters more than in any flat. A large house rarely wants everything on at once. Run the common areas for an hour before people arrive in the evening and let them fall quiet by night; run the bedrooms for an hour before bed and let them stop. Continuous running in a big house is how you end up nose-blind to a fragrance you are still paying for. Practical housekeeping: use filtered water in hard-water cities, rinse each tank when you change scents, and never put raw essential or carrier oil in an ultrasonic — it is too viscous to atomise and will foul the plate. Keep every bottle away from children and pets.

People with large houses expect me to sell them large machines, and the first thing I usually do is talk them out of one. A villa is mostly ordinary rooms. Ordinary rooms take the same ₹1,899 machine they would take in a two-bedroom flat, and the size of the house does not make a bedroom bigger.

Where a villa genuinely differs is that one of its spaces is not a room at all. It is a volume with a staircase running through it, and it will defeat any number of ultrasonic machines because cold mist falls before it travels. That is a physics limit, not a quality one, and no amount of buying more Sukoons gets around it. It is the only place in a home where I will recommend a commercial machine without hesitation.

So: walk your ground floor, count the doors, and be honest about whether it is one space or several. Then buy accordingly — six Sukoons if it is several, a Vaayu and four Sukoons if it is one. A portion of whatever you spend funds a girl's classroom through Nanhi Kali.
