A musty smell is not really a fragrance problem - it is a moisture problem. That characteristic damp, closed-up smell comes from mildew and mould growing where water lingers, plus the humid air itself. So the smell is a symptom. Remove the moisture and the smell goes; cover it with fragrance and it waits underneath.

How to actually remove a musty smell
1. Dry everything. Wipe down wet walls and floors, and wash or dry any musty towels, mats and curtains. Damp fabric is a common hidden source.
